Meet Garric Harian, Half-Elf (Half Tiefling) Bard and proud Zhentarim.

Garric used to be a nice guy, full of charisma and kindness. What he wasn't full of was luck, or skill for that matter. Being a fast talker doesn't get you many jobs in waterdeep. They are a dime a dozen. Then Garric discovered the Cult of Beshaba, Goddess of Bad Fortune. He began using rituals of hers to "steal" luck from others. Real or not things became good. He got a nasty reputation as a silver tongued prince of the seedy underbelly of Waterdeep. His magic that he began learning let him hide his face, only to reveal it when absolutely necessary.
The Zhentarim saw this and offered him good money to work for them, so he did. He has spent the last few months studying up on his primordial before heading into the Dessarin valley.

This is the point buy from the book

Kowsauni
You have 27 points to spend on your ability scores.
The cost of each score is shown on the Ability Score
Point Cost table. For example, a score of 14 costs 7
points. Using this method, 15 is the highest ability score
you can end up with, before applying racial increases.
You can’t have a score lower than 8.
This method of determining ability scores enables
you to create a set of three high numbers and three low
ones (15, 15, 15, 8, 8, cool , a set of numbers that are above average and nearly equal (13, 13, 13, 12, 12, 12), or any
set of numbers between those extremes.

At this point go for it lol. I advocate rolling dice because I love luck. (I have a really funny story of how well my DM knew my character and myself. Let's just say I ended up releasing Clavicus Vile, the god of Bad Luck and Shady deals, and ended up having the life sucked out of me.)

K, then same thing that Sage asked about Tides of Chaos. Could we make it a rule that chaos happens as soon as I take advantage on a save?

So, I am still working on the fine tuning, but Human Wild Sorveror Charleton.

I took the lucky feat, so between wild magic and that, I am running a convept of her being a luck thief. So they will believe in Karma very strongly. There alternate identity is what the spend the most of their time as, which is a Noble from Waterdeep. I plan on going mostly offensive magic since Sage has the utility magic handled.
