No invitation was offered, and so Ace believed Maiku might have just ditched him. Was he coming on to strong? Perhaps so, but in the end, the male found himself hesitant to leave his spot. It wasn't like he was going to come friends with the boy, it was purely his Tailow he was somewhat interested in. Though it would be nice to have a dazzling beauty like that fledgling, it wasn't necessarily... his style. Ace was more a fan of the Pidgey or Starly line when it came to common feathered Pokemon.
His patients seemed to hold strong as the male wandered around in his thoughts. It wasn't until a frustrated cry from the grass, that his attention returned to the world around him. A twig of a girl popped out from a nearby brush, picking at little stickers that had clung to her clothes. "Darn things.... ugg, jeez they hurt for such little things." A brow arched over ace's right eye.... this girl.. "I hope none got into my hair." She spoke as she frantically searched her somewhat sloppy put up hair. Clearing his throat, the girl finally turned around, rather startled. "Oh! Uh... Hi?" She backed away some, flipping from her spunky self to a fairly timid one. Was she afraid of him? That certainly was a first. "Ah, where are my manners?" Ace spoke up, stepping closer a tad. She didn't retreat, but she did grab the strap of her bag, staring down Ace. Fairly distrusting wasn't she? "Sorry, but you do have some in your hair, do you mind?" Ace asked, stepping forward once more, reaching towards her head to grab at a sticker he actually had noticed. "Er... no, thanks..." She replied, holding steady as Ace plucked the small spiky plant from her hair. Flicking it back into the woods, Ace then offered a gentle smile. "Oh, what a cute Roselia... and Flotte.. did you catch those in Santalune's garden?" She asked, a brght smile crossing her face. "No... Actually I hadn't." Ace replied. "Oh, well, they're pretty anyway." Derosa bowed some, a rose held up to her lips. Amarantha simply hugged her flower, growing closer to Derosa. "This is Derosa, and here is Amarantha." Ace introduced his companions. "Amaran..tha? Sounds familiar. Oh wait, The kingdom to the north right? Recently inducted into the league right?" Ace nodded. He hardly cared for the badge-system or the "Kingdom" as it was. Though that would chance soon enough. "So like.. .you're a trainer from Amarantha? Did you catch them there?" "Derosa was gifted to me, from a dear acquaintance, and Amarantha here... we met shortly after I arrived in Kalos." The girl's eyes grew several sizes. "Some acquaintance, to just give you that pretty Roselia." "Well.. She's not a very big fan of black, I on the other hand love black, but more so white." The girl nodded. "I like the colour blue, but... well, my Pokemon are sort of... scattered pallet wise." The girl chuckled. "Say, speaking of Pokemon.. would you care for a battle? I'm sort of in a rush, but a quick one shouldn't hurt any, right?" A rush was she? Well, the girl did appear to cut though a large patch of stickers for some reason or another. Stepping back, Ace bowed gently. "It would be my pleasure." Holding up his head a grin fell upon his face. "Alright! Litleo, time to roar!" Tossing forward a ball, a small little cub appeared upon the field. A fire-type by the looks of it. Derosa and Amarantha were out of the picture than. With a decisive nod, Ace tossed forward Sidra's ball.

He hadn't wanted Derosa to get involved, and frankly he'd felt Sidra could have handled that fight, but Derosa had to act like the big hero and step in for the Mareep. "Oh, well.... you won." The girl stated, returning her Litleo to it's ball. "I've got to get going now, thanks for the battle." With a toothy grin the girl took off with so much as a good-bye. It didn't much matter to Ace.... she was to.... wild for his tastes. With a sigh, he crouched down and began pulling the large supply of Potions from his bag, using them upon Derosa and Sidra. The Sheep worked as a way for him to balance for the most part, until he was done. Glancing towards where Maiku had gone, the male still pondered over if he'd been abandoned or not.

The forest may have been peaceful, but Dumuzi’s mind was not. He had grown to distain the forests and the bug pokemon that usually dwelled in there. It wasn’t because he hated the bug type pokemon in any way, but it always seemed to remind him of the taunts and teasing from the boys at school when he was going through that awkward stage of being ‘too old to play with the girls’. God that was so stupid. There were lots of girls who loved bug type pokemon and fighting type pokemon too. But there was still something in their teasing that always made him feel a little off. Maybe it was just something to do with the nature of the taunt more than what was being said to him. It was easy to let your mind run away with that sort of idea but harder to disprove that it was wrong when you had been told over and over again that it was true by the people who were around you. Perhaps he let it shape his being too much when he was a little younger and now that he was in his adolescent years he was having a hard time shaking it off. Once he got out of his brother’s shadow, then he would be able to prove that his favourite type of pokemon were just as good as anything others, if not more so. He knew that his team may not be the most balanced, but he was sure that he could make the team strong enough that they could whether whatever storm they came across. He thought what he was feeling was excitement at the idea of being able to do this and bring this all together. He still believed it even now that what he was doing was going to more than pay off in the end. At this point in time, it was about the only thing that he had to go off of. It was the only thing that mattered to him at the moment. His hand came down by his side and he caressed the pokeball on his belt and his eyes narrowed a bit. He would do this no matter what it took or how long it may be. His jealousy of his older sibling was going to be the fuel that pushed him forwards. No matter how hard things would get or what sort of ordeals he would have to go through to get there, he would always have that motivation of getting out of his sibling’s shadow to make sure that he didn’t give up. Something nagged at him though and again, there was a strange sort of unease or perhaps even anxiousness about what he was doing or something. He couldn`t put his finger on it to know what it was that made him feel this way though. Maybe it was just nerves because of the robbery he pulled not too long ago and he was still a little shaken up about it. He tried not to look into it too much and hoped that after a little time and maybe even catching a few pokemon would help ease these strange feelings he was getting but couldn`t understand.

It was a very nice walk through the forest, there was no doubting that. The bird pokemon where chirping their little songs and a gentle wind rustled through the trees to create a rather tranquil environment that was more than a pleasure to walk through. Dumuzi took some time to follow the paths and avoid trainers as he made his way towards his focused destination of Santalune City, tilting his head up he looked at the stray beams of sunlight that managed to peek through the canopy of the foliage. It was such a nice forest, if he ever got any pokemon that were weaker and needed training up, he would keep this place in mind. The forest was actually a lot bigger than what he had imagined it to be, and it definitely looked like it was teeming with life, and –judging by the rustling above his head- this place had more than just a few bugs and birds living within it. For a moment, Dumuzi pondered over letting Titania train here for a while before they moved on, but eventually decided against it, he was still a little too close to train station for his liking and didn’t want to be caught with his pilfered pokemon so soon after his escape. Professor Sycamore had probably already got in touch with Birch to check out his story about being sent here to collect data on wild pokemon, so he was probably already caught. As soon as he was in the city though, he could use the population to his advantage and make it harder to find him. Thoughts of being on the lam aside, Dumuzi was mulling over what to do with his time and how best to go about obtaining his pokemon. He supposed he would find the pokemon that were in the area and then raise the ones he wanted? He certainly wasn’t the prodigy that his sibling was, but he knew enough from getting his trainer license of how to go about it. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad? Then again, now that he thought that, things could become an absolute disaster… Well, he would worry about that when he got to Santalune, until then, there was no point in letting himself get all tied up in knots about it. He would just have to play it by ear like most other trainers did.

The twisting, winding paths of the forest eventually started to give way to the sounds of a city that was nearby, the trees were starting to thin ever so slightly to confirm that Dumuzi was going to be out of this forest very soon. It was probably still going to take a while yet but at least he was nearing the end of the tunnel, so to speak. He slowed his walk and closed his eyes for a few minutes while letting the mixture of the warmth of the sun and the coolness of the shade create a very refreshing feel on his person. Dumuzi physically may have been doing alright in the forest, but his mind was still tormenting him a bit, his stomach still getting tight with the nervous anticipation that he was feeling the closer and closer he got to his destination. He didn’t know if he was just nervous about actually doing well here or if he was feeling a little guilty about stealing his sibling’s pokemon. Ugh, whatever, it wasn’t worth worrying about now, the deed was done, and it wasn’t as though he was using his Ralts anyway. Poor thing was probably destined to be cooped up in a pokeball for the remainder of its natural life or something, just another pokemon for the collection and nothing more. It was moments like this that Dumuzi was easily able to justify his actions… antagonizing his sibling was easy for him, though he could remember when they were once close siblings. He wondered when it all went to pot for them? Maybe when their interests changed and Dumuzi became more interested in what was genuinely considered to be more feminine and ‘girly’. It… wasn’t his fault that he seemed to be able to identify more with the girls than the guys, and it certainly wasn’t fair that his sibling abandoned him for it. Granted, sometimes it felt like his family abandoned him for it too. Not that they were nasty or bullied him because if it or anything, but maybe it was the reason that they took such an obsessive interest in everything his sibling did, as if they were distracting themselves from the reality of what he really was. The shadowy depths of the forest finally gave way to the brightness of the sun once again, and Dumuzi found himself shielding his eyes for a moment while they once more readjusted to the natural brightness of the sun. He took a deep breath and marched forwards. Finally, he was at his destination. Now it was time to hunt and start building up his team.

Turning towards the noise of foliage being ruffled, Adolph found Maiku approaching him, a new accessory in tow. Should he ask? Any curious person would, wouldn't they? "Yes, we should get moving. I think it's about time we need a change of scenery." Hesitating a bit, he was still lingering on his curiosity. In the end, it won out, and Adolph motioned towards the bag. "What do you have there?" It was rather odd that he'd run off with little explanation then return with a bag stuffed pretty tightly. Was Adolph dealing with a thief? Well, then that changed things didn't it? Thus far, Maiku had the appearance of someone he'd like to recruit, but did he have the skills worthy to be apart of Team Royale? After all not every Tom, d**k, Joe or Harry could join.

Following beside Maiku, Ace found the boy's answer all the more suspicious. Just finding a bag lying in the middle of the woods? Well, there was a probability that it was dropped, but who would drop a bag that large and not notice? Unless they'd been chased away by some wild Pokemon, which could also be probable. "Curious, I wonder what happened to the bag's owner?" Showing concern, a good mask to put on for this somewhat timid young trainer. "I do hope it's owner is found." As he thought over this, Sidra, who'd he'd yet to return to her ball, was following at a slower pace, on her back Amarantha decided to hit a ride along with Derosa, leaving Ace's shoulder empty. The sheep would stop at times to snatch up a particularly yummy looking patch of grass. Though, the Sheep hadn't noticed it, she'd actually snatched up a Mushroom along with her grass. While it did taste somewhat off, the sheep wasn't to picky and continued to eat, unknowingly consuming a Big Mushroom, an odd fungus that seemed to unlock a power within a Pokemon.
Whatever the case, when the exit to the forest came into sight, he knew soon enough Fia would get a good looking at, then from there he'd call up someone who could possibly assist him in finding out what that strange creature was that he'd caught.
