Zero had long since returned to Cyllage, increasingly worried by the radio silence from Isis. Sure, Ashen didn't take too long to get him back from the festival, but usually his companion was quick on the reply. But he tried to calm himself down once he landed, and focused on something else. It was very late, and he needed a place to stay, so he got a room at the Pokemon Center, and got settled in his room. Though, when he went to change, he was rather disappointed to see that the shirt he'd had on earlier, soaked in one spot with his blood, had stained the shirt he typically wore over it, the two sticking together from the red liquid. He sighed, realizing he'd have to buy a new shirt, but until then he'd have to make do with his other clothes. His room was a tad cold, so he figured throwing a coat on wouldn't hurt, and exited the bathroom. He paused for a moment in the threshold, the fact that he was alone here finally setting in.
"I wonder if it'll be like this for a while..." He mumbled, then sat down in a chair further into the room, turning on the tv a few feet across from it. Zero's attention didn't stick to the television, and he found himself repeatedly checking his phone for a message from Isis. His feet tapped nervously, and he hardly noticed the passing of the hours. He felt tired, but his eyelids stayed open in spite of their weight. Not that he wanted to, anyway. He would've liked to forgo sleep indefinitely, but as his body wouldn't allow that, he'd make do with just tonight, at least. Hours ticked by while he waited in silence, the only sound in the room being that of the tv.
Zero had zoned out for some time, without his realizing, only coming out of it when his wrist buzzed vigorously. Though any excitement that might've been on his face evaporated right back off when his screen lit up in response, showing the message was from Marx; not Isis. Still, it was someone at least, and he wasn't going to just let it sit. Readjusting himself in his chair, he quickly typed up a response.

Hey Marx. I flew back to Cyllage, but I'm waiting to hear back from Isis. I haven't heard from her since her date. I'll join you as soon as I figure out where she's at.
Hitting the send button, Zero let out a long sigh, leaning back in his chair. He couldn't help but question just what it was he was even doing at this point, going without sleep, waiting for a text, worried sick like an overprotective mom. To be honest, he wasn't really sure why he was so suspicious of Leon. The man did save his life at the ball, and helped Isis when he could not, so even if he's a tad flirty he might not be such a bad guy. You're worried about nothing, he told himself mentally, trying to avoid thinking of anything that may just worsen the situation for him. All he could do was wait, patiently... Something he seems to be doing a lot of, recently.

Bags had long since formed under Zero's eyes, his fatigue from what was supposed to be a fun time having long since set in. His head bobbed occasionally while he warded off sleep, still awaiting a message from Isis, and keeping his mind distracted by thinking of ideas for his next gym battle, or of something fun to do later. For a while, he zoned out, brought out of his daze by another buzzing on his wrist. He lifted his X-Transceiver, and suddenly found himself relieved to see it was from Isis. With haste he opened the message to read.
Message from Isis
Hey, I'm so sorry I couldn't reply earlier. I'm okay, I'm just over at Leon's house, it's a cute little cabin outside of Olivine. Don't worry okay? I'll meet up with you tomorrow.
The excitement Zero felt but a moment ago vanished instantly. There was but a brief, solitary moment where he found himself in between calm and something furious. But in the next, there was nothing but rage. A fury he'd never felt before erupted inside him, and his mind was filled with nothing but internal screams. They were so loud an intense, even in her ball Nova could hear them. It was almost deafening, and before he'd even realized it Zero was already dashing down the halls away from his room. He threw the key to his room at the nurse, the plastic card hitting the woman right in the face, before he practically flew through the azure doors. Then he flew quite literally, having released Ashen and hopped on his back. Zero directed the dragon on where to go, and the Charizard took off at full speed. [Exit to Leon's Cabin]

Jay stepped out of the cave, and came to an abrupt stop, listening. He could hear bicyclists nearby.... Tilting his head a bit, he started clicking his tongue, and rubbed his temple when he got virtually no echoes back. What, had he just stepped onto a cliff? He turned his head down a bit, clicking towards the ground, turning a bit. Okay, so no.... more like a ridge. It seemed to be... maybe a switchback path? There was a level higher next to him, and a path that seemed to curve around the upraise and head towards, well... he wasn't sure. But at least there seemed to be a path that he could follow, and... hopefully... not plummet to his death.

It took a bit of (frustrating) work, but Jay was able to figure out that what he was on was, indeed, a switchback. Clicking to figure out the height differences, and listening for the bicyclists he'd heard before, he climbed from one ledge to the other, rather than going back and forth to slowly weave his way down. Once his feet touched ground and his clicks echoing off the ground indicated he was on the floor level, he started moving towards the buildings, trying to orient himself and find a pokecenter. Much as he liked smelling new smells, listening to new sounds, and relaxing on new fields... he really hated the absolute blindness of entering new locations, and he definitely wasn't familiar with Cyllage at all. He had a fantastic memory for geography-- it was part of why he was even able to get around as easily as he did-- but if he hadn't encountered a place before, he had to build completely new, from the echoes he got as he wandered.

After asking for directions-- because really, he didn't want to go around the whole damn area to try and find the building that was probably the pokecenter-- Jay was able to make his way to get his pokemon healed. He handed them over, and once Nurse Joy had them, requested for help with his arm when she got a chance. It felt fine, but he wanted to make sure he could take the bandages off and keep them off. The only way, after all, for him to know how well it was healing was to, well... run his fingers over it. And he didn't really want to do that in case it was still sort of open.
Luckily, though, it had healed a good amount, and he could remove the wrappings. There were a few healing marks still, but it was good enough that he didn't have to keep it covered. He was also able to find out there was a gym in the area, too.

Once his pokemon were healed, Jay trooped back up to the counter, taking them and thanking the Nurse as he did. "Of course! We hope to see you again!" she chimed happily. Jay gave a sort of smile, turned, and walked off, putting his pokeballs back to his belt with a slight shake of his head. Such a weird response... Clicking, and keeping his pokemon in their pokeballs for the moment, he started around town, but someone suddenly darted out, colliding with his shoulder. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" they shouted. Annoyed, Jay turned slightly after them. "Ahm blind," he snapped back, "Wai don' you watch where yer goin'?" He hated it when people said that. Sometimes he found it amusing but he really wasn't in the mood for someone blaming him for their impatience.
It... didn't get him quite the reaction he expected, however.

"You ain't.... smart, are ya?" he commented, frowning a bit. "Wha--? Hey! I--""Bite, Mawile. Take it out with Bite," Jay cut her off, taking off his hat to run a hand back through his hair. Jay frowned a bit at the next pokemon that was sent out-- Raichu. He didn't even need his pokedex for that one, he knew what it was. Unfortunately, though, he really didn't have any pokemon that were strong against it, which was fair enough. "Ya alright t'continue, Mawile?" he asked, placing a hand on his hip as he listened. "Maw!" the pokemon confirmed, at the ready. Nodding, Jay lifted his head up, ready for battle. Even without type advantages, he was more than confident in Mawile's ability. And apparently, that paid off.

With Mawile successfully taking absolutely no damage, Jay decided to keep him up. The fairy-steel pokemon had his chest puffed proudly out at his victory, arms held macholy out to either side. His cheeks were a little ballooned as well, indicating he was holding his breath to maintain the... intimidating...? Pose. He let it all out a bit, though, but fell into a ready pose as his next opponent was sent out, and Jay closed his eyes, listening and thinking through the best strategy to go with.

Mawile stepped back, panting a bit from the battle, but then straightened up confidently. Victory! Ha! He would have to tell his sister about all these battles when he got to talk to her again! He looked back at Jay as his trainer made sure all his other pokemon were returned, and gave a nod to the girl they'd defeated. "Int'restin' battle," he remarked, frowning a bit. The girl huffed. "Anyone can use type advantages!" she claimed, "Just you wait! I can use them too, and I'll defeat your pokemon! Just wait here!" Jay sighed as she turned to run, turning his head down a bit. "C'mere, Mawile. Lemme heal ya up uh bit 'for she gets back..." he commented. A good part of him seriously considered just ditching while he could, but the girls' pokemon weren't that strong, and he never agreed to letting her use type advantages. He might as well see how the battle went, and, who knows... maybe he could quit if she started getting really obnoxious about it. After all, she'd been the one to challenge him the first time, too.
