Sebastet didn't just hear his words, she felt them too. That was another first for her, to truly feel the words someone spoke to her. She could feel that he meant every word, that he truly felt that way about her. She reached up to his hands cupping her face and slowly pulled them down to rest over her heart, "Keep telling me that... Keep saying it to me until I can believe it too," she whispered to him softly, knowing that he'd understand what she meant. She needed him to tell her that she was worthy of being loved, of his love; worthy of being desired and wanted. She needed him to tell her that until she believed it just as much as he did. She needed him to never give up on that... She finally leaned forward and kissed him, letting the touch linger as she moved in closer to him. She shifted them until she was straddling him and maintained that kiss as her hair fell around them in a dark curtain, her tail moving behind her briefly before shifting to tease at his legs. While other races didn't like their males to be possessive and dominant, the Hylarr females loved it, even thrived on it. Sebastet was no different. Her instincts thrived with the way Khajhan petted her as if she was fully his, the way he held her in place when he wanted to, knowing that he wasn't afraid to throw her over his shoulder and carry her off somewhere, knowing that he had no problem taking her to task if she needed it, even knowing that he would be able to keep up with her in a fight if needed... But she did need to point something out to him... She finally pulled up for air and met his eyes as she sat up and tossed her hair behind her, giving him a small smile, "Well... Barring someone else killing you... You should live as long as I do... Hylarr Mating gives both partners the lifespan of the longer lived one... You won't have to be a vampire to have the lifespan of one," she told him softly as her hair settled behind her. That dark hair fell to midthigh when she stood, now it framed her as she sat over him while purring softly as he settled his hands at her thighs. She bit her lower lip briefly then leaned down to give him another kiss, more brief this time though. She pulled back and met his eyes again for a moment as she traced a hand over his cheek, "I'll have to think of a suitable Mating Gift for you..." she whispered to him, speaking of a very old tradition. That one was similar to the wedding gifts given to couples, but was only exchanged between the mated pair. Lio had given her a necklace of malachite that he'd said reminded him of her fur and eyes, she'd given him a matched sword and dagger set. In looking back, it seemed as if Lio hadn't really tried that hard... She was going to be thinking hard on what to give Khajhan, wanting it be just the right gift... For now... She leaned in and gave him another kiss, her hands sliding to his chest to knead through his fur, teasing him with hints of her claws...

Khajhan understood as she spoke to him, he’d keep reminding her of how he felt about her, but more than that his actions would show just how much he felt about her and wanted her. Khajhan listened to her as she explained certain things and enjoyed the kiss she gave him here and there, it explained a few things. Eventually she spoke about a gift and it occurred to him that he hadn’t given one to her yet and grinned as she kneaded her claws, his hands moving along her body before he his hands were holding hers and pulled her down onto him as the shadows immediately surrounded them, taking them his home within the shadows, though the first time he had taken her to his reality within the shadows it only showed the darkness around them and nothing more, this time though the shadows deposited them on a bed that was his within the shadow’s realm, within a room that wasn’t hers. Khajhan rolled over with her getting on top of her and just looked into her eyes, before he placed a kiss on her lips and held it a moment before he pulled away and pulled her up from the bed as he got up and grabbed her hand holding it as he took her out of the bedroom and into a large room, one thing was unique in that the room had an entire wall filled with weapons he’d collected or in some cases had made himself at one time or another, but Khajhan’s interest was only on one specific section of this wall which had many knives and daggers on it and simply stopped there with her, his tail had wrapped around her hand as he let go with his own hand and stepped over to the wall before he pulled out a pair of daggers that would suit her perfectly. Khajhan turned around and walked towards her the weapons in both of his hands as his tail let go of her hand, the blades were very unique in that they shimmered with enchantments, one being designed to keep the blades always sharp and in perfect condition, but what was especially unique was that the daggers were ancient, almost Egyptian and he handed them to her “not long after our race was destroyed, I’d come across someone who discovered I was moving about the shadows, a vampire who’d been keeping low profile like I was had taken an interest in me, though not for a good reason, this vampire had attempted to kill me herself and found out just how dangerous we hylarr are in battle especially one such as I, these weapons are always sharp, due to the magic used on it, though I couldn’t say the different spell that were used, they’ve remained here ever since that day, but I believe they will serve you well, as well as anything else that catches your eye, this home is your home now as well, and the shadows will allow you to come here whenever you desire, and you won’t have to worry about the island being destroyed as a result of coming here, the shadows are apart of you as much as they are me and will answer when you call to them” Khajhan stepped forward and gave her another kiss on the lips briefly so that she could look at the weapons he’d offered her. Around them the room was filled with various things, from the weapons wall but also off to one side of the room had various different sets of armor, some leather some not, Khajhan had played around with different types of armor before he eventually found the set he wore now, the scale armor was a perfect balance between mobility and defense. To the other side of the room was benches that one could work from so that one could work on anything they used or if they needed to build something the tools were there, doors on the south wall between the weapons wall and the workplace led to other rooms as well. Khajhan had truly spent a lot of time putting this home of his together and it explained where he was going before he revealed that he was there, though admittedly he didn’t always come here, but when he did it was a chance to get away from the world every now and then so that he could properly rest.

Sebastet almost didn't notice it when he shifted them to a different place, to lost in his kisses and his hands moving over her. Then he simply pulled away and pulled her from the bed with him, drawing her attention to the new place. Their bond told her what this place was and it meant alot to her that he was showing it to her and giving her access to it. She had to smile at his tail wrapping around her wrist, making her wonder why he didn't want her wandering too far from him. But her attention was drawn to the wall of weapons and found that they had more in common than she thought they did. While she didn't make armor, she did rarely make weapons. And she had a wall of weapons just as he did, one in her bedroom and one in her office. She'd made sure that her lock-up room didn't have any weapons in it, though; although she didn't want to explore why too much... She looked around while he looked over the wall and turned back when his tail let her wrist go, watching his face more than his hands as he spoke to her. But when she looked at the blades he was offering her, she had to give a shocked gasp as she lightly trailed a finger over one of the daggers. "How the hell did you kill her?! I was after her for years... In truth, she stole the blades from a temple there..." she said in soft-toned shock. She remembered the blades from another lifetime... For a time, she'd actually taken a place among the gods of Egypt. Thankfully, it hadn't lasted long and she'd gone on her way. But some of them still paid a visit from time to time. She even had one of Ra's children in the castle right now, probably a victim of Ra's attempt at matchmaking... She could remember walking into the deepest sanctuary of that temple and seeing the blades in the wall, held by the carving of a goddess now forgotten. They hadn't been spelled or enchanted then, but they had been a work of art... She'd silently coveted them for years, but hadn't taken them out of respect. Then they'd gone missing and she'd gone hunting after that vampire... But she'd been a nightmare to catch... She looked over every detail of the blades as he held them, uncertain of touching them just yet. She looked up at him, met his eyes for a moment, then made a decision. She held out her hand and reached with her own shadows, pulling something from the chest at the foot of her bed. She looked at it for a moment then back up at him. "I made this when I was still young... When I thought I'd have a different life..." she started to get lost in that memory then pulled herself back into the moment, "I made this for my future mate... But... I think I made it for you..." she told him softly, knowing that he'd understand what she meant. She opened her hand and held it out to him: a stone wrapped in metal until it was held securely without hiding it, then suspended on a handmade braided leather necklace. But it was the stone that was the focus. It was so rare that it didn’t have a name. They were legendary for channeling shadow abilities. She’d found it when she was still very young and had wrapped the metal around it in a starburst pattern. In her young mind, despite the isolation she was feeling at the time, she’d thought to gift it to the male her guardian chose for her when she came of age. She didn’t find out until later that her guardian had no intention of doing so. Then the village was attacked by the vampire that changed her life... She held the stone for a moment then slid the braided leather over his head, settling the necklace at his neck and noting that the stone hung right over his heart and traced her fingers over it for a moment. She was hoping that he wouldn’t react badly to such a simple gift, but it felt right to give this to him...

Khajhan listened to Sebastet and smiled as he replied “it wasn’t easy, the woman who’d taken them left me with a few reminders, it was how I found out that one of the enchantments kept it extremely sharp, took fighting her in the shadows to eventually bring her down but even then, I almost failed to kill her” he gestured towards a couple of bare spots on his left side two long cuts that had long since healed, though as of yet the fur hadn’t returned due to how severe the cuts were. He stopped to listen to her when she offered him her gift and reached up to it holding in his palm, the shadows immediately moved around his hand and into the stone and watched it glow a shade of purple akin to the color pansies and nodded his head in approval as he looked at Sebastet “thank you, I can see how much of a treasure this is and will keep it close to me always” Khajhan was about to say something further but stopped when he felt something off and looked at Sebastet with a serious look on his face as he grabbed her hand and pulled them back through the shadows and back into her room, he stepped over to the window and while he couldn’t visually see it something had happened which caused a massive magical surge to occur and looked at Sebastet again concern on his face as he spoke “something’s wrong, I’ve never felt something like that happen before” his hands were by his sides as he looked at Sebastet though his hands were clinched in a fist as his senses told him something serious had happened and he didn’t like it one bit.

The moment they stepped out of the shadows, Sebastet dropped onto the bed when her legs buckled as it hit her. She was so attuned to threats to the island that this one actually dropped her and took her a moment to be able to focus again. She frowned up at Khajhan, "There is a portal to Darkness Abounds on the island. It allows merchants to travel and allows me to keep an eye on the place. It's very well hidden and only certain merchants can use it. But..." she raised a hand to her head as she forced her brain to focus past the headache she could feel coming on. "But something broke it, then something else tried to take the resultant rift over. I think something came through, but nothing else can with the wards and protections that are on the island. Thankfully, the ships that come to the harbor also have the same protections and wards on them, but it's what's on the island that counts," she gave a small grunt as she pushed through the headache and got to her feet to head for her closet. In truth, she needed to get clean in the bathroom across the hall. But the force of the portal collapsing and the rift forming had thrown her off a bit. She was heading to get dressed and armed. She was reacting to a threat that didn't exist yet. But this was her way. She always reacted to threats to the island and the people that lived here. Because of that reaction, she couldn't leave the island for more than two hours...

Khajhan sighed knowing what she was planning on doing and stepped over behind her while she was getting clothes and placed a hand on her wrist, his left hand on her waist and spoke softly “if we’re going to handle this matter, wouldn’t it be more appropriate to freshen up first” Khajhan placed a soft kiss on Sebastet neck and held her close “come along there’s time a plenty to deal with matters such as these after you’ve been taken care of” having seen the bathroom through their bond it wasn’t hard for him to simply shuffle her along to the bathroom, though instead of giving her an opportunity to refuse he simply carried her off through the shadows and over to the bathroom without delay.

Khajhan nodded “is the way things tend to be, seems like things always get worse before it gets better, but we’ll do it together” Khajhan held her close to him a moment before he they were deposited back at their room in the tower. He looked around a moment before he spoke again “seems we have a guest in the tower and in the castle that wasn’t here before” almost on cue a staff member knocked on the door and came in slightly to see if she could and with a simple nod from him she approached “Sebastet we’ve had new arrivals to the castle, one a man who arrived with Morrigan sometime ago, and a group arrived from the demon realm, an Envoy name Veresia has requested to speak to you at your convenience” Khajhan looked at Sebastet somewhat confused “who is this Veresia?” Admittedly he wasn’t really sure what to make of that but based on the memories from Sebastet through their bond that they weren’t likely to be enemies but it seemed like it might be important.

Sebastet nodded at his words, knowing that he was right. But, all too soon, their private time was interrupted and she had to return to her 'job'... She gave another nod to the servant that walked in, "She's one of the War Demons, likely sent to let us know about Lareth, keep an eye on Ash, and find out what's going on here. In truth, they'll be useful. Ash knows their skill sets and where they'll be able to fit in best. Past that, you can ask her yourself. It will help you plan for what's going on now..." she told him simply then moved to look at the daggers she had on the wall. She addressed the servant then, "As for the new guest... Let Desmond know about him, as well as the female in Dancer's old room. You should be able to find Desmond with Bast at the Armory. If you don't see them, just call out. They'll hear you. Past that, see if you can get Cain to let go of one of the maps of the island and the surrounding islets for me, please. And see if someone would send up something to eat," she requested, gaining a nod as she looked over the weapons she had on the wall. After the girl nodded and left, Sebastet pulled one of the daggers down and looked it over for a moment then turned to Khajhan as she slid it into one of her hidden sheaths at her right thigh, "With the map, I can point out where they're coming in and where they're likely to be camping. From there, we can plan for where everyone can take a group on to eliminate them," she explained to him then moved to the smaller desk by the door where messages were often left for her. There were a few there and she looked them over before frowning over one in particular, "They've gone after one of the dragons...." she said in soft horror, able to put together just how bad that was. It was a truly epically stupid move to do, considering that the dragons held a special protection order from the Angels... That meant that it was absolutely stupid to attack the dragons... Especially the defacto queen of the dragons...

Khajhan nodded but before he could say anything further someone stepped out of the shadows, a woman who gave Sebastet a nod “partially Ma’am, the King has indeed fallen and the new king is soon to be crowned once he comes of age, but that isn’t our reason for being sent here” Khajhan was slightly amused by the fact that she had come through the shadows and had to wonder just how capable they were “and that is?” was all he said as he stepped over to Sebastet. Veresia looked at Khajhan and replied “we’re here to bring news of events that potentially have a chance of impacting the island” that immediately got Khajhan’s attention but didn’t say anything, two war demons shifted from the shadows behind Veresia and stood there allowing Veresia to continue “there is currently attacks ongoing against the royal family, and at the order of Lady Zosne we come to bring news that there is a chance that our quarrel in the realm might make an attempt against the island as well, we’ve been assigned here to assist however we can until the threat is no more” Khajhan looked at Sebastet concerned by the possibility of another threat to the island and spoke up “we’ve got another threat already here” Veresia nodded “we’ve been informed, Ash brought us up to speed on the threat to the island and we’re prepared to lend our assistance to quell all threats to the island” the other two nodded in confirmation.

Sebastet gave a nod as she checked her wall again, "I'll accept the help. But do try to remain visible as much as possible. The whole invisible thing tends to get a bit creepy. I don't mind it when you're Hunting, but otherwise..." she left that one hanging, knowing that they'd understand what she meant. She passed a brief glance to Khajhan, remembering that he'd been on the island for a long time before making himself known to her. She was still a little bit upset over that one, but was willing to let it go when he stood there looking so yummy.... She shook her head to get her thoughts back on track and focused on the wall again, this time pulling a blade that Veresia would recognize with a mix of fear and pride. That blade was only given to someone that had defeated an entire legion of War Demons. It was the highest award the War Demons gave to anyone. And Sebastet had three more on the wall... She held it for a moment, remembering when she'd been given this one then moved up to Veresia, "I was given this one by the First War Demon..." she looked up into her eyes for a silent moment then held it up so that she could see the details clearly, as well as the fact that it was still coated with the blood of that particular demon, "Assist me in ridding my home of these idiots, and you will have earned it from me," she added in an incentive that she knew that Veresia would not be able to resist then simply held her eyes for a moment before crossing to put the blade back on the wall and headed for the door. She paused there briefly, "I want my home free again... Once that is done... I will see what can be done to help Cynthia and the Demons. Until then, my hands are tied trying to keep people alive here," she glanced back at Veresia and her companions over her shoulder, "They've already attacked the village once. Three dead, one badly injured. They killed the leathersmith and injured his wife. There are still children in that village and in this castle at risk. And now they've upset the Angels and Dragons by attacking the defacto queen of the dragons... The last of my race consists of myself, Khajhan, a child, and one other that I'm sending to a different battle. That's it. Four. And they're all under death orders. It happened to me once... I won't let it happen again..." she kept her voice firm over it all but Khajhan would know exactly how all of it was effecting her. She swallowed briefly then firmed up again, "See if you can find Griz. He just brought a gift to the island that would prove useful. He's currently in the village arranging things for the next delivery. You might find him... interesting..." she finished with that and moved on down the stairs of the tower. While she hated to see Bast go, she knew it was necessary. Samirra, however... That little girl was about to get a full bodyguard rotation and Sebastet was going to have Lydia put it together....

Veresia nodded as she was told to stay visible and replied “of course, don’t want to cause any issues” the two behind her nodded in agreement and all three of them watched as Sebastet took a sword off the wall, Garthel and Alkac gave a hushed gasp as Sebastet presented the blade to Veresia who was surprised by the gesture and just nodded “understood we’ll do what we can to free your home from this threat.” Looking over her shoulder she spoke up “Alkac, Garthel I want you posted on security, Garthel at the main entrance, Alkac, sentry duty on the wall” they both nodded and left through the door without hesitation, Veresia had to wonder how serious the threat to the island was and decided it might be a good idea to have reinforcements summoned, they were capable but even as a war demon there was only so much they could do before they were overwhelmed which caused her to look at Khajhan as he made his way to the door to follow after Sebastet “how many?” Khajhan paused a moment and looked at her “too many, they brought a large force capable of destroying this island, and there is no telling how many more there are waiting” Veresia nodded and watched as he resumed following after Seabstet and then followed behind them deciding that maybe legion support would be required for this fight but had to wonder if they would arrive in time. Khajhan caught up with Sebastet part way down the stairs as the two war demons passed her by both nodding out of respect and continued on, Veresia followed close behind intending to head out to see what could be determined visually.

Khajhan followed Sebastet downstairs in time to run into Lidia who was returning to the office and looked tired as could be but soldiered on since things required her attention with all that was going on, especially since she was bedding three new guests which while staying temporarily would still require a room to sleep in when not doing whatever they were there to do and paused her hand at the door knob and smiled lightly “everything alright?” Khajhan nodded “so far, but time will tell” she nodded and looked at Sebastet pulling out a note “here, Bast left this on the desk” she handed it over to Sebastet which only indicated that Voss and Jenny be shown the armory as there was something there that they might understand better and simply left it at that. Khajhan looked at Sebastet curious as to what was going on and simply asked “everything alright?” Lidia stood there but had to step aside when the door opened and Ashigaera came through and just smiled “you still awake? Thought you would have gone to bed by now” Lidia shrugged “all in due time” was all she said as she stood there, stifling a yawn as she waited to see what the note was about.

Sebastet gave a nod as she read the note then tilted her head a bit as she tapped into the network she had over the island briefly and gave another nod, "Send a note to Jenny that as soon as Bane lets her out of his lair, she's to go to the armory and follow her nose. She and her pack have access to the place only as long as they keep it contained to their pack only, and only as long as it takes to get them all free. Send the same note to Morrigan's new guy, that should be Voss. The area was Bast's Mating Gift to Desmond, so that he and his pack could gain their freedom," she paused there and looked over Lidia with a frown then shook her head. "Actually, Lidia, you go to bed now. Ashigaera can take over for now. You're no good to me if you pass out from exhaustion in an unfortunate spot. Again," she pointed out, giving a not-so-subtle reminder of the one time she'd passed out in the garden and nearly burned up in the morning sunlight. She focused on the Fae then, effectively shutting Lidia out until she got some rest, "I need a few more notes sent around and you're perfect for that right now. One: we have some demons on the island; Veresia, Alkac, and Garthel. The latter two will likely be hidden but you should be able to find them easily. I found out that someone royally pissed off Ilea in Darkness Abounds, enough that she ruptured the gate between here and there. Somewhere in that monstrosity of a castle of his, Lareth had a hidden gate to Darkness Abounds, heavily shielded so that Goh would never find it. He called it insurance in case Goh ever went after Cynthia again. We need the Demons to find it and see what's going on in Darkness Abounds. I need information and they're the best to get it for me. Don't bother asking Ash about it. I'm not sure he's ready to travel yet and he'd likely do it just to piss me off," she said then moved on. "Two: Blade and her Mate were headed over to the new leathersmith with some of the new ammunition being used to have him look at it. He's not a threat to us and is to be trusted. I need Blade to bring everything she can get her hands on, plus the leathersmith if he's willing to do some explaining or the information from him if he's not willing, all to the armory and Jenny and Voss so that they know what we're up against," she added that one then thought about the next step. "Truthfully, I may need you to get in touch with Cain and get a list of everyone in the island that was ever a threat against the Church along with the price on their heads. I need to be able to predict the next attempt at a bloodbath and see if I can stop this one. We also need some major repairs to Cassius' place done. The idiots hosed his place down with automatic gunfire to the point that the entire building is a royal mess. We're only lucky that no one else got hurt in the process. But count Cass out of any equations for a bit since they took out both of his mates and got him bad. He's sulking in that underwater cave of his right now and I have no idea when he's going to come out," she had to pause there and turned to look out the balcony doorway with her arms crossed for a moment. She had a brief flashback to when she'd first come to the castle. 'Bloodbath' was a massive understatement to describe what she'd found then. Now, only she and Rex knew what she'd found here. All the humans had died off, and Desha was gone... They'd cleaned the castle up after that, before anyone else showed up... She heard Khajhan give an unhappy sound behind her and quashed the memory before he got more. Truthfully, she'd never encountered anything like it since. It had been that bad. For now, she focused on the present and what needed done, "You can tell the demons that they can investigate any of the sites that have been attacked so far. Well... Not Ebony's. She's still not up for visitors yet... But everything on this island, they can look into. As for Kalani... Once Lidia has rested up she can see if the poor thing is up for some questions. Until then, tell Jenny about the female in Dancer's old room and see what she can assess on it... After all of that, why don't you get some rest too?" she finished, knowing that the Fae was up to the task. She felt Khajhan move up to slide an arm around her waist and leaned into him, knowing that she was going to have to tell him about the island's worst secret. But not until they were alone. She didn't want anyone else to know about that nightmare...

Lidia was about to protest but decided against it since she was well and truly tired so she simply nodded and head off to her room to rest and leave things in Ashigaera’s capable hands. Ashigaera listened to everything that was told to her and smiled “no problem, I’ll have it taken care of and sorted, if I need to I’ll go speak with the leathersmith personally and bring him back” Khajhan was listening to the whole exchange but his interests were what was on Sebastet’s mind she knew more than anyone was aware of and would likely have to address that sooner or later. Ashigaera waved at them both, Cain was the easiest one to locate since the time would have him in his suites and simply left to speak with him before she worked on everything else. Khajhan followed Sebastet into the office both clearly bothered by the secret she caried and wanted to know what was going on.

Sebastet waited until they were alone before she spoke, part of her not wanting to remember but knowing that it was impossible to forget... She kept her gaze on the landscape visible past the balcony as she spoke, not sure if she could speak about this while looking at him. "I washed up on the beach here and the villagers found me. The place was being terrorized, to be honest. I think the villagers thought I was sent by the gods or something. They said there was something up at the castle that kept killing them... I went to check it out once I'd gotten a bit of rest," she started then moved to sit on the bed, knowing that her memories showed alot more than her words did. "The castle was the focus of a true bloodbath, to be honest. It was the worst thing I've ever seen. There was blood, literally, everywhere... Blood, bodies, and rogue vampires... It was a nightmare to fight through it. I had to go floor by floor and room by room to get them all. The garden wasn't here back then. It was the baileys, a few other buildings... I had to clear all of that, the dungeon, the towers, and the caves... I found the leader down in the caves.." she paused there and finally looked up at him, considering how far to go. Then she gave a shrug of one shoulder and moved on, "I've been burned by the sun to the bridge of death, faced down gods, fought dragons and demons, been Hunted by the Church for centuries, and even faced Lucifer's crew a few times... But this b*****d... He came the closest to killing me and was one of the hardest I've ever fought..." she explained to him, hoping that the perspective would put things in place for him. She got up and headed for the wall of weapons she'd collected and pulled down one of the swords that, at first, appeared to be rusted. It was blood. Hers and that of that long-dead vampire. She took in a deep breath and passed the blade over to him. "Dimitri Raducan, second of the Ximultia League. No one knows he was the second. Everyone thinks he was the leader," she named him as Khajhan looked over the nasty looking blade. It seemed like it was pit-marked from age and the blood on it, but the pits, dips, and waves were all part of the creation of the blade. It all made it even more lethal. "After I killed him... I had to kill his... Pets... They were... creatures... he'd Turned and changed somehow... I suspected Goh's hand in it, but I've since found out that the ex-god had nothing to do with it. It's possible that Raducan's boss may have helped him, but I've never been able to find out for certain. Needless to say, I nearly died that time... It still took me nearly a week to kill everything in the castle... When I got back to the village, they were grateful and helped me heal up. That's when I met Rex. While I was healing up, he came up here with some of the villagers and started with the clean up," she sat back down on the bed and rubbed one hand over her face as she remembered that week all over again in graphic detail. She finally shook it off and continued, "I finally sent for Desha, Gypsy, Cain, Crisdean, and Cynthia. They helped with the cleanup and the initial repairs, setting up the garden, planting the forest, helping the villagers... It took a few hundred years to get everything livable on the island... I ran into a few other problems over the centuries and started laying the protection weave over the island. After a while, I figured out that I'd never be able to leave. Only Desha really understood the full extent of what I'd done. Others had a few bits and pieces, but only Desha knew all of it..." she finished, hoping that he would... wouldn't... She didn't know what she hoped at this point... She just didn't want to face another bloodbath... Or another friend dying....
