The Pokemon treated them all the same with around the same power for its Magnitude attack. Even now the Magnitude was being buried by mounds of dirt that erupted from the attack. Grayson only snorted and leaned back in his chair, alone at the table once Emmet left to put up their dishes, and for a moment he leaned his head back and closed his eyes. Though he didn't feel like sharing his sleep inability with Emmet he wasn't upset that Azalea had hinted towards something like that, in fact the only thing it made him do was ponder whether or not he'd actually get any sleep tonight. At the very least he'd be able to lie on a bed and rest, maybe address his team, and shower and all that jazz. "Are you ready?" Grayson's eyes slowly opened and, with a yawn, he nodded and stood slowly to his feet. "We should probably talk about our situation," he suggested lackadaisically, gathering Aita in his arms as he nodded off to sleep.
"Not tonight, it's late," Emmet answered quietly, leading the way back into the lobby. "We'll do it tomorrow morning, when we've both had time to digest this." The man stopped in front of Nurse's counter, adjusting his glasses, and turned to look up at Grayson. "Until then, I suggest we both get a good night's rest and meet back up in the lobby tomorrow at around 8 AM." Grayson pulled a face, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been up that early. Emmet, noticing this, sighed, "would 10 be a better time for you?" he asked, unimpressed at the male's inability to wake up at a decent time. "Mhmmm."
Grayson stifled a yawn before he took to leaning against the counter, giving the attending nurse a lazy look before he requested a key from her. He gave a nod of thanks afterwards and straightened back up, slowly, before tossing an expectant look at Emmet; he didn't seem like he was going to ask for a key himself, did he expect them to share a room? "Oh no," the man said immediately, as if able to read Grayson's mind-- which was a bit ironic, and shook his head. "I've already gone and booked a room for myself in a nearby hotel," he explained and then lifted the sleeve of his shirt up to inspect the time. "I should be heading back now. Have a good night, Grayson." Emmet gave a half-hearted wave, biding his companion farewell, before he pushed he turned on his heels to leave, officially leaving the teen alone for the night.

With nothing keeping him in the lobby Grayson made his way into his room, unlocking the door and slipping out of his shoes the moment he stepped inside. He shut the door with a yawn before making his way to one of the beds (there were two, how lucky for him) and settled Aita onto it. The kitten didn't wake, only snuggling into the covers a bit before he grew still, and with that settled the trainer tossed his bag onto the free bed then headed into the bathroom. One shower later and Grayson re-entered his room, towel wrapped around his waist and his hair slicked back so that both eyes could be seen, for once. Grabbing his designated 'night clothes' he slipped into those before returning his towel to the bathroom. Thoughts of sleep played through his mind as the pale teen turned out the lights to the room and climbed into bed, not bothering to remove his bag and instead just turning his body so that he didn't brush against it. It was a nice idea, being able to sleep, and with that hopeful thought in his mind Grayson closed his eyes.

Considering how tired Grayson was, and in general, the problem wasn't falling asleep-- no, he was out the minute he'd closed his eyes-- it was remaining unconscious that was tricky. Slow, even breaths filled the room and for several minutes the teen managed to sleep without incident, thirty minutes managed to trickle by before a change began to occur. His breathing began to slow and distance itself, one breath only happened every ten seconds rather than every five, and then fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, and then he stopped breathing entirely.
Eyes snapping open Grayson jolted out of the bed blindly, gasping and wheezing, and looked about wildly. His eyes were dilated, but from the way he stared out it appeared as if he couldn't actually see anything in front of him. With a groan he clutched at his head as a headache formed and sent him reeling, forcing him to grit his teeth and breathe from his nose. Several seconds passed before the headache, and his temporary blindness, faded away, leaving Grayson shuddering, panting, and thoroughly agitated; his heart was still racing long after his breathing had returned to normal.
With a curse Grayson slowly stretched his body out onto the bed, a frown fixated across his mouth as he stared up at the ceiling. He gave himself a moment to compose before he turned over to look at the alarm clock atop the table, huffing when he noticed the time. "Only thirty minutes, huh?" Grayson sighed heavily before he sat up, gaze flickering as he caught movement from the other bed. "Oh, sorry, did I wake you?" Aita lifted his head up from off his pillow, wide eyes glowing faintly in the dark, "kit," he whispered, unsure of what had just happened. "I'm fine," Grayson assured lazily before he pulled himself out of the bed. It was clear that he wouldn't be getting anymore sleep for the night, he didn't want to, and after that little incident he was left incapable of doing so; the adrenaline still rushing through his body left him wide awake. Which meant that he'd be pulling an all-nighter, and what better way to spend the next few hours than with his pokemon?

Approaching his stack of pokeballs Grayson reached out to grab one, only to recoil as one opened up on its own and out popped Styx, her worried expression able to be seen even in the dark. Clearly she had sensed something wrong, hence her impromptu appearance. "Welcome to the party," Grayson drawled, ignoring his partner's look, then reached behind her to release the rest of his team, Viduus yawning and stretching as he was released before he waddled over to join Aita, not nearly as perturbed as Styx; then again, he'd only been caught that day, he knew nothing of his trainer, unlike the Frillish.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked softly, watching Grayson as he stared over at the pokeball that contained his Drifloon, contemplating allowing it to join the 'party'. "Nope," he answered decisively, around the same time he tossed the pokeball and released his newest capture, if things went wrong he had a few pokemon that'd easily take of it. "You gonna cause me any trouble?" he questioned the Drifloon, who twisted her body (so really just her head) around to, first, get a look at her surroundings before she turned to Grayson.
"I know you!" she chirped, completely ignoring his question. She bobbed over to Grayson and wrapped her string-like hands around his wrist before she gave a tug, and then another, her face puffing out and taking on a darker shade of purple when it became clear that her passenger wouldn't budge. "Cut that out," Grayson reprimanded, yanking his arm away. "Awww," Drifloon pouted, but did as asked, looking a bit deflated. "I just wanted to give you a ride..." The male quirked an eyebrow, but ultimately snorted and shook his head. "Few problems with that," he remarked, but didn't bother to list off the issues with her little plan. He tipped his head to the side, trying to gauge the balloon. She didn't seem.. upset in the slightest about the whole 'beat up and capture' incident from earlier, that became clear as he watched her float over to first Morta and then Aita and Viduus.
Determining her not to be threat Grayson walked back over to his bed to sit down on its edge, frowning when he realized Styx had followed him. "Leave me alone, will ya?" he waved her away, not in the mood to be interrogated. Styx's gave a sigh, not pleased, but gave a nod. "What are you going to do for the rest of the night?" she asked, changing the subject. "Probably just lay around, same thing as usual." At the same time, however, the male was stretching over to grab his bag and pull out his phones and their chargers, something he'd forgotten to do earlier.

Grayson waited until he'd plugged in both phones and sat back down on the bed before he addressed Styx once more, the bed springs creaking underneath his weight. "We've got a new companion," he told her, then shook his head as the ghost turned to look over at Drifloon. "Not her, someone else, a human. Goes by the name Emmet." This information seemed to surprise Styx, her entire face morphing into shock before she broke out into a grin. "You made a new friend!" she exclaimed, her genuine surprise causing Grayson to snort. "No. He's not a friend," he corrected, then watched as Styx's face fell. Arceus, she was dramatic.
"He's someone the superiors want me to watch over, for some reason, and from what I can tell he's gonna be here for a while," he explained, scooting back in his bed so that he could lean back against the headboard. "His name's Emmet, you'll get to meet him in the morning." Grayson yawned and tossed his hands behind his head, providing a barrier between his head and the wood beneath. With a contemplative look Styx nodded, her gaze drifting from her trainer to the rest of her teammates, then reached over to give the air above Grayson's head a pat, the best she could do. Grayson snorted. "It's been a while since you've talked to anyone besides Azalea," she noted, quiet. "Ah, yeah. That reminds me, I saw her earlier, downstairs in the cafeteria, Emmet got to meet her too," he reported. Styx hummed at this information, then after a moment she nodded. "That's nice, and here I was worried you'd spend all your time outdoors alone."
Grayson only gave a huff in response, not entertaining Styx with a verbal response, then with a grunt finally shooed her away. It was going to be a long, and he didn't feel like spending the entire time talking with his partner. Instead he'd spend his time... planning his next move? Yeah, that sounded responsible.
