Misa had to think about this one. Steel-type Pokemon were weak to Ground-type moves but strong against Rock-types. So far, Graveler would be able to do well against those Steel types but not so much for the others. It would help with Graveler’s training since she was getting up there in strength. Though, she was sure that Graveler would still have a tough time with a Steel-type specialist. Maybe this was the best opportunity for her Pokemon to train against an opponent that didn’t curry in their favor.

So, back to the battle. Sandshrew tucked itself into another ball but instead of concentrating to make stars in the air it seemed to be building up energy. A large chunk of the earth swatted the floating creature from the sky, bringing it to the ground. It was a rather powerful attack, one that Misa had yet to seen from her own eyes. “Alright Magnemite #2, let’s see what you can do.” Another steel-type popped out of the ball to face Sandshrew. This time around Misa kept Sandshrew out of its ball since she believed that she was just going to use this Pokemon to fight the rest of the other Pokemon. If all Steel-types were going to be weak to Magnitude then it would be an easy victory. All of her Ground-type Pokemon knew Magnitude so even if one got tired she could easily switch it out for another one to take care of the next opponent.

The shockwaves weren’t as strong as before but it still easily knocked this one unconscious. It drifted to the ground with a swirly eye now replacing its regular eye. All Sandshrew needed to do now was keep on hitting these Steel types with the same move at a similar power. Clearly, all of this training was making Sandshrew stronger and Misa more prouder.

There was always the chance that the Sandshrew would get tuckered out and the Trainer having to switch it out with another Pokemon. What were the chances that she would have another Pokemon with another Ground-type move? The male trainer already knew that she had a Graveler which was a huge red flag. Graveler was a Ground Pokemon which meant that it would have ground-type moves. But he didn’t actually think there would be a trainer who would actually have a ground or rock type Pokemon on their team, especially a girl.

Since the Trainer was clearly using this Pokemon Misa could assume that he might have been a new trainer. Though, she did wonder where he had caught all of these electric Pokemon. ”Alright Sandshrew, Magnitude.” Just like with the very first Magnitude attack this one was a real powerhouse. The ground beneath her feet swayed but it did more of a number on the Magnemite that didn’t even have much of a chance. The ground collapsed under the Magnemite forcing all sorts of pieces of the earth to hurl itself into that steel Pokemon. Misa felt a bit bad that these battles were all ending up in a one hit KO but that meant that Sandshrew was just growing along with a poor match-up.
