The yellow creature tottered onto the field, gazing back at the green pod Pokemon. Since Metapod didn’t possess any Poison type attacks it was best to end this battle quickly. ”Sandshrew, use Swift.” Like the other time the yellow mouse rolled up into a ball, concentrating on the attack. Stars appeared out of the air as they began to hurl themselves at the Metapod. The green creature, much like with the Weedle from before, was barely able to take the brunt of the attack. Sandshrew was still too weak to land a good hit on its opponent.

The Metapod was marked with various injuries on its body. It just stood on its spot while still standing up, in its own way. “Metapod….use Tackle!” It was a quick one, that is what Misa would have granted this Pokemon as it lunged itself at Sandshrew. The attack wasn’t very effective at all, not compared to Sandshrew’s last attack. The attack did show on the mouse’s body as it was now covered with scratches but it wasn’t anything that a few potions couldn’t fix.

This battle wasn’t looking like much. Sandshrew was Misa’s weakest Pokemon who would go on to face the next Gym Leader. It wasn’t taking this Pokemon out in one shot which was a bit disappointing but even her Pikachu couldn’t take Staryu down in one shot. Even Pokemon bred to fight by a Gym Leader or a Trainer were more of a challenge than a Wild Pokemon. Even so, her Sandshrew was still lagging behind in its training compared to the other two. When it would reach the 20’s maybe she could ease of this intense training regime.

Sandshrew rolled back to the human girl as the other human returned its fainted partner. The male looked saddened at how most of his Pokemon had been defeated. There was only one more in his party that had yet to make its debut. Misa didn’t say anything for it was his decision to make if he wanted to continue this battle. She had Sandshrew on stand-by while he decided to make this decision. In the meantime, the Steel-type Trainer just watched this battle play out as he expected.

“Come on out Kakuna!” The boy sent out a Pokemon Misa had grown quite familiar with. In fact, it was a Pokemon that she had sent to the Daycare in order for it to have evolved into a Beedrill. The girl had actually put some thought about using Beedrill on the Gym Battle after the next one. She would have to research how it would fare against the Gym’s Pokemon. The girl would also have to consider its moves and if they would be effective on the Pokemon it would face. Certainly she could use Venusaur but she didn’t want to use it as a meat shield.
