Then a suggestion of my own:
"The Five People You Meet In Heaven", by Mitch Albom.
Just as good, if not better, as "My Sister's Keeper", by Jodi Picoult.
Another few good books are the Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliette Mariller.
1: "Daughter of the Forest" (my personal favorite. Read it five times)
2: "Son of Shadows"
3: "Child Of the Prophecy"
And the Heralds of Valdemar Series by Mercedes Lackey. they are too many in number to list.

i agree that Bradley is an outstanding author who has a good sense for a nuance of depth meaning. she also teaches other aspiring authors which is commendable.
once i collect a few more g (i just bought a katana and have to rebuild), i will give the prize to somerled because the titles are new to me (mostly) and not something a bookstore would have in it's window display.

"Blade of Tyshalle" by Matthew Stover. I love th imagery in this book. ^_^ Makes me smile. (Which is a little disturbing, since it's probably supposed to make you recoil.) razz I suppose I'd ought to clarify: This book contains vivid violence and perversions, and moral transgressions that probably shouldn't be read by anyone under 19. It's an ugly book. That's why the message is so vivid.

Evidence That Demands A Verdict by Josh McDowell
My sister recommended it to me and I found it most thought provoking. I don't believe the same way she does, but it did make me think.
