Rosemarie looks around the mansion.. she had never seen a party before. Her mothers would be upset to know she traveled alone here. But what was done was done. She spots the vampire and mortals a like. Before making her way to dance floor. Her mothers were both Tremere but she didnt know half these clans-----‐-------------------------------- - Logan sniffs the air near the mansion. His wild instincts on alert. He never smelled so many senses before. He blinks should he even go in? He blinks a party for motels and his kind not that he would openly cause trouble but.. maybe someone would be here from his clan other then his brother Quinn. He walks in and looks around.-

For many years, the Clans had been quiet.
That suited Alessa well enough; she was a woman of many plans and long schemes, and time to work without having to deal with nonsense disputes over some Gangrel pissing on a Toreador's obscene hedge sculptures was time that she could devote to her own projects. Of which there were always many. Alessa liked to be powerful, liked to be influential.
Butt hings were stirring. There was no ignoring that. And it would be gauche for the Prince to refuse to attend such a grand gathering.
She was unaccompanied; Equinox might choose to join her later, but for now, her mate was at home. But there was no denying when she arrived. She strode through the doors with all the confidence of a woman who knew exactly where she belonged, and even as the realization tumbled over her that there were Kindred here who were fearfully ancient and powerful, older and stronger even than Kitrye, and that Things moved in the darkness (eyes on all of them from the shadows; a scent of roses, tinged with blood--their gods and the Disciples moved among them tonight, it seemed) she did not break stride for a moment.
She gave a brief nod to the host, though he seemed quite occupied with any number of other visitors. There were Kindred here from all factions--her own precious Camarilla, the messy and anarchic Sabbat, the foolish Independents--and that meant that this was a rare occasion.
Perhaps some bridges could be built. If things were stirring, as they seemed to be, being ruled by their usual politics would only ensure that they all squabbled and crumbled and fell. And that, Alessa would not allow.

Marquise Baydras quietly slipped into the party, wearing her very best and even carefully draping her tentacles around her shoulders, looking carefully around the party. She noted who had arrived... Which included two very important members of her own clan, and she gave a head-bow to each of them, even if they were not looking her way. At least she could say she had tried to show proper deference and it would not be a lie.
She noticed a feeling in the air that was odd and familiar, almost comforting to the Cainite, and she smiled a little, almost directly at a blue colored vampire who was heading her way... And then she smiled directly at the other female, noting signs about her that made her suspect the stranger was one of her own clan.
She moved towards the other, intercepting her with a casual grace and giving a gracious tilt of her head to the other lady. "Hello... I am Marquise Baydras. Would you permit me to accompany you for a time?"
It was always lovely to find someone who was lovely enough to be kept close, if nothing else.

Cassius watched as Emppu left, appreciating the view with a smirk as his partner stalked off in search of some pockets to lighten. As he approached Ravnos he halted, just shy of actually reaching him, because of a sudden shift in the air. The scent, the whispers, the chill, it all felt vaguely familiar, like something he should recognize but could not quite place. It stayed his feet for a moment, and he frowned, trying to pinpoint exactly what it was... Giving his head a small shake, he decided he could mull that over later. Tonight, he had something else to attend to. "Ravnos." He said, finally reaching the Disciple, and holding a hand out towards him in greeting. "I am Cassius, son of Cryso Kenoth." He paused for a moment, deciding to keep his Fathers name out of this for now. "I want to ask for permission to join your clan." ---------------------------------------- With Lilith's sudden appearance, Grendel had gone silent and nearly left the gathering altogether. It was an option that he strongly considered. But she was gone now, leaving nearly as quickly as she had let herself be known. Unless Caine himself showed up, Grendel decided he would stay. Finding another Disciple to watch, he settled in around Artemis Ventru. She would feel the sudden weight of his presence, a power that tickled at the nape of her neck. She would hear her name as though it were hissed directly in her ear, followed by a did you miss me? in her head.

Well at least this youngling got straight to the point. Unlike some others. He had wondered the boy’s lineage, already knowing his father. Quite well in fact. But he should have guess that his mother was Cryso. She liked to have her finger in many a powerful pie. Even his own. So now he wondered just how different this one was from his half brother, Zapathasura. It had been a long time since he had seen Zap. And they were not on the greatest of terms to say the least How he wishes his eldest son were most like his other half siblings. Those two were more agreeable and both had even mated into Ravnos although neither were Ravnos themselves. Maria having mated to one who would probably give Cassius a run for his money on the biggest fan title. He took another sip of his drink, eyeing the outstretched hand. ‘Be nice.’ Internally he sighed. His golden bracelets clinked together as he grasped the young vampire’s wrist for a shake. Formalities bored him. A smirk circled the corners of her mouth as dark eyes flashed. What a curious turn of events. “Oh? And why is that then?” He asked with a small tilt of his head.

So far so good. Ravnos hadn't shoed him off or rejected him outright. It bolstered his confidence and made it easier for him to answer the question that was posed. "Well, beyond the fact that it just feels natural, given who my mother is," He started, pretending for a moment to mull the question over. "All these other clans?" He gestured around, "They're either ******** nuts, or they've all got sticks up their asses, and I'm really not into any of that artsy, fartsy stuff unless it's something I can steal, and pawn off. Plus, everyone knows that you," He pointed to the Disciple, "Don't put up with s**t, and you actually care about your clan and look after them. Oh, and being clanless? It sucks. Nobody respects you. You're basically a bottom feeder." He shook his head and then ran a hand back through his hair to push it back from his face. Was that enough? He hoped it was.

He listens. He pondered. To be honest it was a pretty damn good answer. Ravnos was impressed. Why couldn’t Zap be like this? It had to be Cryso’s fault. Ravnos looked thoughtful. Nodding his head just slightly and scratching at his goatee for a second. It had to be Grendel’s blood that made quite the exemplary young vampire. “You know….you have a half brother out there. His name is Zapathasura. Rather the crankiest vampire I’ve come across, surprised he’s even of my loins. And before you ask yes, Cryso is his mother as well.” Another sip of his drink. “Before I agree, and believe you me I am in a position to agree whole heartedly.” Because your daddy is so good in bed. “Seek him out. See what he is up to now a days then come back to me with your opinion of him.” Ravnos enjoyed sending vampires looking to join the clan on little tasks. Zapathasura wouldn’t let him approach but perhaps someone of Cryso could. “Agreed?”

She took in the vision before her hungrily as the other vampire posed against the bar, her dress cut strategically to offer Ishtar a delicious view. "Artemis," she purred, tasting the name on her lips. She savored it like a fine wine. "You may call me Ishtar," she said as she gentle stroked the other vampire's arm, leaning in ever so slightly. "I am here as your humble servant, if you please." She leaned in close, her lips almost brushing the other kats ear as she whispered "I could worship your body in ways you can't imagine." She pulled away only enough to meet the other lady's eyes, her own amber orbs sparkling with anticipation and desire. Her soft lips were parted slightly and her eyes were smoldering like hot embers.
It was then she felt it. A shudder. A presence. There in a flash and then gone again. It didn't detract from the task at hand, but somewhere in the back of her mind she made note that this meeting had become even more significant than she imagined. More and more old ones had begun awakening, and it seemed even the Gods themselves have begun to take notice. That was something to consider. Another night.
For now, she had a wild-eyed vixen before her and if she didn't get a chance to taste her Ishtar would be very disappointed.

"You speak about your sister in past tense?" He questioned as he looked over Fleur, wondering if something had happened. He did like the balance he kept with his younger brother. He often did wonder if their mother had any other children, other brothers, and they'd just not run across them. He knew if they had brothers they'd be out there somewhere...without her.
The scent of blood, and something floral, on the air caught his attention and he shuddered next to his brother. It smelled amazing but also there was something very unsettling about it all - something off and old...dangerous.
Something was changing...
"If you don't think you'r husband would mind. I thihnk we'd very much like to meet the host of this lovely gathering." Paris stood at his brothers side nodding his head, he too would like to meet this nights host. Leaning against his brothers side he took a moment to whisper to him, questioning if he'd felt it to - had he smelt it? When his brother nodded, a ratehr discreate gesture, he wondered just what it was. How interesting this night was turning out to be. And to think they'd only come lookling for a home - a clan. They wanted to belong somewhere and stop drifting and wandering so much.

There was power in the air. It was electric, and it made Artemis shiver. It seemed there were many powerful things stirring tonight; Lilith's presence was brief, but Grendel's it seemed, was not.
'Ahh, of course I have, darling,' she thought back at Grendel. 'What about you? I know I've been away for a terribly long time. I'd hate to think you weren't happy to see me back.'
Honestly, tonight was shaping up to be far more interesting than she had even begun to suspect.
"A fascinating offer," Artemis purred, "and one I'll have to consider...carefully. I've been away from society for such a long time, and I'm just beginning to find my way again."
Any bargain needed its due thought, after all, and it would be a good way to...stretch her limbs. Nothing had to come of it, except a pleasant evening shared between two ancient, powerful women.
Still.
'Anything particularly interesting I've missed?' She asked Grendel, thoughtfully. He had, it seemed, been awake for the entire time she'd been in torpor, and here was no reason not to use the resources before her.

For a second, Cassius thought it was going to be just that easy. Ravnos was nodding his head, and he could feel that he had won him over. All he'd had to do was tell the truth (at least, as he saw it). s**t. It apparently wasn't that easy at all. Ravnos was talking about some half-brother, who happened to also be his son, and the young vampire felt a pang of jealousy. Yes, his father was Grendel. Yes, he was proud of that fact. Would he trade if he could? .....Probably. Cassius nodded his head, slowly, and shot a sidelong glance over toward where Emppu was doing his thing, to see if he could get his attention and gesture for him to come over. Licking his lips, he decided to attempt a counteroffer. "I'll do it, if he can join too."

Emppu continues to make his way through the gathered mortals, 'liberating' many a trinket from them as he circles the massive room and dance floor. He glances towards the bar every now and then, mainly to see if Cassius was still there and whether the other was still in conversation with Ravnos or not. He didn't want to interrupt his love, after all. When it seems like Cassius and Ravnos are done conversing, and Cassius had saught him out with his eyes, he makes his way slowly over, then glances at Cassius, his eyes seeming to ask the other how it went. He still had his whisky with blood in his hand and shotgunned the whole thing before placing the glass carefully on the bar top. He then turns his attention back to Ravnos and bows a bit, looking up at the Disciple from his bowed position. He wasn't sure what the proper line was between showing respect and coming across as a boot licker, honestly, so he was winging it. ~*~*~*~*~ Nightmare made his way out of the party, heading back to his home. He wouldn't notice his missing valuables until much later.

The door opened for Amadeo Giovanni silently. The small ghost child pulling it was invisible to the other guests. She flashed a wicked little smile in the direction of the party before closing the door behind him and vanishing. Likely preparing to cause mischief as her master went about his social duties. The vampire was extremely well kept and the air he presented was one of earned authority. He considered the other guests with a careful, though not paranoid, calculation. His attire screamed old money, that money likely not all gained through legitimate business ventures. The families wealth had many inlets. How else did you ensure it never stopped flowing? His dark eyes surveyed the gathering with a mask of pure charm and civility, though deep beneath the surface told a different tale entirely. And not a pretty one.
The energy that saturated this place was grotesque and overwhelming. The gaggle of clans and.. mortals almost cloying. It felt off. Like a room full of natural enemies pretending to 'make nice' for the sake of slaking the hunger wrought by a lonely eternity of silence and isolation. And what better time than now to see how said clans were faring. Business never slept. There were plenty of opportunities hungering after one another right now.
From somewhere far away a tray tipped over, the shattering of glasses followed immediately after. The Giovanni ignored the noise entirely and made his way through to the bar. He wanted a drink before finding the host of this soiree. Though it sounded like his little Spirito was enjoying the party already.
Wraiths.

While she would not be able to see Grendel, she would be able to sense his pleasure at knowing she had thought of him. A feeling like a tendril brushing against her back, and his voice came to her again. I am pleased to see you here. He confirmed, then waited until there was another opening to speak, watching as she and Ishtar flirted with each other relentlessly. Just say yes. You know you want to. He chuckled, a deep and velvet sound inside her head. There have been, developments He admitted. We will find time to speak of them. Soon. Now, enjoy yourself. With those parting words, he moved on, to seek other company that wasn't so preoccupied.

Ah, a counter offer. How quaint. “You seem to think this is a negotiation, childe.” Ravnos finished his drink and set his glass down on the bar. He regarded the young vampire with amusement, glancing only briefly towards his partner. “Allow me to counter offer your counter offer than if this is to be such. For you and your friend to join you must find Zapathasura and convince him to join as well.” Good luck. He raised a hand before Cassius could speak. “This is my final offer take it or leave it my young friend.” Ravnos watched Cassius closely. Curious as to weither or not he would take this new deal. If he could convince Zapathasura to return and join the clan he would be most impressed. His eldest son was….difficult.
