One of the Talonflame would be snatched up and grow towards the other by Odd, both of the birds struck by Hex, horrific images filling their bird brains, momentarily causing them to lose the conscious thought needed to stay air born and thus causing them to plummet out of the sky.

Next came Forge who struck true with its Aerial Ace, catching the Noivern by surprise as the Fletchinder came rushing out of the Hurricane, the bird stabbing at its left wing causing it to flail a bit in midair as it momentarily struggled to right its self. It was during this vulnerable moment that would prove terrible for the Flare admin as Gale's Air Slash sliced through and disrupted the Hurricane causing it to dissipate as the blades of air slashed away at Noivern. The assault wouldn't end there as Odd summoned forth his Wicked Wick, the terrible flames striking the admin himself, causing him to cry out in pain as he fell from his dragon, gravity sending him hurtling towards the ground as he burned.

Or at least, that's what you would think would happen.

"Tch...you guys are going to make me look ugly!" The admin hissed as the spiritual flames continued to burn away on his shoulder. Clearly the fact that he was part of Team Flare was proof enough he had a sinister spirit, the flames however only further confirmed that as they continued to burn for the time being. That however was not the surprising part. What might surprise them both was the fact that the Flare admin as floating in place, several meters above Black Tower. Both Amaranth and Odd might hear a faint 'beat' coming from the admin and as for Odd he might sense this admin had a spiritual bond with his Noivern, the dragon now flying alongside him. This wasn't just a run-of-the-mill member of Flare, admin or not, this guy was a Channeler.

"Noivern! Boomburst!" The admin ordered as he flipped around in midair to get in front of his dragon before it unleashed an ear splitting shock wave of sound at Gale, not only attacking the Pidgeot with sound but also sending its trainer flying forward. As the admin sailed through the air he would almost land on Gale, who was hopefully stunned by the Boomburst, but before making physical contact seemed to launch himself off the bird with a burst of some sort of unseen energy from its hands, a sound similar to the one Noivern makes when using Boomburst could be heard at that point.

Launching off Pidgeot the admin would send himself falling down towards Odd where he would prepared a drop kick on the Channeler and upon landing thrust an empty palm at him, unleashing another unseen wave of energy to knock the Ghost Channeler away followed by a booming sound.

Ulla sighed as she saw some idiot yelling at the top of his lungs. Ulla then flinched at the pain of her deep open wound from what she got earlier. Togekiss was worried about her as he was chirping for her to be treated. "We are in the middle of a war. Unfortunately I can't just leave. Especially when I started this mess with the big guns." She said as Comfey popped out of her Pokeball and was worried about her trainer. The smaller fairy then wrapped her flower crown around her arm as she started using Floral Healing. It being a fairy type move, it worked more effectively than she thought. The little girl's wound wasn't as bad as before now as she looked at her Pokemon. "Thank you Comfey. It helped a ton. Now, I actually might need your help. Do you wanna try?" Comfey nodded as Dragonair came back to the group.

A few moments later, Ulla was riding on Dragonair's back with Comfey on her head. While Lucario was hitching a ride with Togekiss. They were following the Wailord that had Shelly and the other Team Aqua grunts inside. "Lucario do you know which Wailord the commander and most Aqua grunts are in?" Lucario focused on detecting their aura, as he was able to feel numerous ones on the Wailord they were attacking not that long ago. He pointed to which one as they flew a little lower to be a little above the water. The little girl then grabbed Comfey and cradle it in her hands. "You ready for your big moment?" The Comfey nodded. "Alright, Comfey Grass Knot go!" Comfey flew out of her hands as she started being enveloped in green aura. The ground started shaking as vines would come from under the Wailord and would inflict serious damage on it as it was much heavier than Comfey. Ulla then pulled out an Ultra Ball as she loaded it in her SNAG. "Hopefully this works....Go Pokeball!"

Ulla shot her Pokeball down in the water as she was able to see saw the red outline of a Wailord. The Pokeball then floated up first before any of the Aqua grunts or Sally could get up. Ulla quickly grabbed the Pokeball as they flew a bit further away from them so they couldn't snatch it from her as she was waiting for the results. All of them returned to the shoreline quickly as Ulla placed the blinking Pokeball in the sand as most of her Pokemon were far back except Lucario just in case the Wailord broke out.

The Flamethrower would hit its mark well enough, leaving a darker purple area on the top of its head that looked like it might start blistering soon. “Want to burn the place down, eh? Might be-” Before he got to finish his sentence, the grunt would put his hand up to his ear as he seemed to get some sort of call or something in. Shaking his head, he’d recall his Swalot, looking at Leon. “Well, it’s a shame that we can’t continue on, but I’ve been told that it’s time for us to pull out for now. We at least did what we came here to do at least.” He’d dash off afterwards, running off to who knows where.

Magneton this time would weather the Ice Shard attack even better than the Pursuit earlier, the ice shattering upon the steel type’s body. It would beep a few times before the eyes would begin to follow the Glaceon, trying to get a Lock-On for something.

Mandibuzz would attempt to get away from the Powder Snow, which while mildly successful, put her into direct line of effect for the Spark, shocking the bird well enough that she looked to be having a bit of a time struggling to keep aloft.

However, before either of the two could get a chance to fire off another attack, a whistle could be heard, summoning both Pokémon back to whatever trainer sent them out. Magneton easily followed, while it would seem that the Mandibuzz was having some issues, with her dropping any altitude she would have gained when her wings locked up on her. Something the keen noses of the hybrids, especially Zwei, might notice would be the scent of fried electronics coming from the direction that the Pokémon were running off to.

TerashiLeonGoken

The Purrloin would glare at Hera as she finished her attack, debating about what to do next in lieu of any vocal orders. Her comrad wouldn’t have any sort of issue, however, glaring at the little chicken nugget that tried to torch it. However, before either of them would go for another attack, a whistle would call out for them as well, a call that they would heed as they both retreated, presumably back to unseen trainers.

Requiem of Whyspers

The Draco Meteor would indeed be effective in pushing back the Garbodor, because while it was still standing(barely), it decided that it was done with this fight. That Draco Meteor hurt, and it didn’t want to chance another one from it. Thankfully, the waddler would be assisted in its retreat by a red beam hitting it, presumably its hidden trainer recalling it.

Blizzard120

Being in close quarters was indeed a double edged sword for the Klinklang, with Meinfoo’s Force Palm sending it into a wall before it could react. Scizor’s Metal Claw would tear into the Skuntank in the meantime, causing it to recoil back further. Both Pokémon seemed to be considering their options before their trainers reappeared from wherever they decided to disappear off to, recalling them before getting the hell out of dodge themselves.

Reno Vantas

Bisharp would be thankful for his steel typing, at least if he understood the concept of typing. The Pokémon would take the attacks, retreating as he stared at the prey he thought would be so easy to bring down. His eyes would narrow before deciding that this wasn’t worth the effort anymore and bolted out of the area. A whistle to summon him probably also helped with that decision.

The Krookodile, meanwhile, looked about ready to catch Leslie in his maw after he watched her launch into the air with he aid of her Onix. Unfortunately for him, he heard the same whistle that his partner did, which meant that he wouldn’t get a chance to play with his food any further as he left. Though, hope Leslie knew how to land with at least some amount of grace….

Aile would watch as the Scrafty disappeared off, summoned by someone else’s whistle as well. Though, he at least looked much worse for wear after Tatooine’s juggling act. The trainer would look down at her SNAG once more and cursed silently to herself as she saw a few more dots on the map fade away, noticing one inner area now that was now scarce on coverage. “Hell, those cheeky bastards. They at least knew that they were important, if nothing else. Voort, how many towers do we have left?” Aile turned to her Nidoking as he looking in the box he carried quickly, holding up one claw. “Well, that’s gonna have to do. Towards Black Tower! Let’s get this one down, at least!” The three took off for the center of the city, with the Flygon in the lead. “Everyone, status report,” she called on the SNAG, “How’s everyone doing?”

Rhyme was bracing for further impact, as was Zwei, but the pokemon were whistled at!! The ones they were fighting were...retreating?! What was going on? How could that be?

"Smelling some friiiied technology over here, Ma'am! Following the scent now!" Zwei replied to his SNAG, recalling a rather agitated Glaceon and quickly taking off, as was his usual.

Rhyme's heart was in her throat--she could smell that and it didn't send her good vibes. "Come on..." She quickly recalled the Vulpix after petting her head softly, clutching to the dark stone in her pocket as she hurried to follow and provide further support, if they could...

"Some of us would argue that the battered and beaten look is in these days," Amaranth quipped, though she'd drop the banter almost as soon as she began to realize that the admin wasn't on Noivern anymore, floating in place like some otherworldly being. The faint 'beat' didn't elude her ears, but the sheer shock of it all kept her from acting in time to do much about the Boomburst. A scream and clasping of her ears was all that could be managed, digging her feet into Gale's back as a means to brace herself from the Pidgeot's thrashing at the aural assault. It all started over again as the admin launched himself, sending Gale plummeting from the impact alone and Amaranth off of the one bit of footing she had.

Twisting around in an effort to act quickly, she'd throw another Pokeball towards where the admin was heading and dived in the air, aiming to land on Gale's back as the Pidgeot barely regained her own composure. Luckily, she wasn't out for the count just yet, though hearing might be easier said for now. "Fury, Mega Punch!"

On cue, the thrown Pokeball would open up to reveal the Kangaskhan's trip to the roof, falling with her fist raised and ready to slam it down as she landed. Though it was unlikely to hit the admin, maybe the force of it would have its uses. At least, it provided an opportunity to provide a little help to Odd and Sub. "I believe I said you're coming through me first! We're not out of this fight yet!"

Before Tristen and I knew it, we watched as the Pokemon get recalled and make a rather oddly hasty retreat. "Wait, where are they going!?" Tristen asked, looking over towards me.

"No idea." I said. "Doesn't really matter now though..." I said, looking over at the wrecked scrambler. "Blast it...where's the other one?" I asked.

"Right here." Tristen said picking it up off the ground next to him and handing it over to me. "Alright, get that destroyed one...don't want someone trying to salvage it that doesn't need to get their hands on it. In the meantime we may have to find a better place for this."

"Where?" Tristen asked as our two Pokemon finally made it back over to us, awaiting the next command..

"I don't know..." As Tristen started to pick up the pieces, I took out my SNAG and started to get a readout of where everyone started to place their own beacons. "...maybe...eh...it's not going to be pretty though. Not sure if it's going to work. Better than nothing, I guess."

"All done here, Blizz." Tristen said.

"Alright, let's go. Time is running short." I said. "Come on, Scizor."

"Stick close, Meinfoo." Tristen said to his Pokemon. We all then made our way off to a new location to set up the scrambler, hopefully without too much problem this time.

Odd smirked when the pair of Talonflame went down, glad to see them fall at last. That was two sources of concern down for the price of one. Then the admin was hit by his flames and knocked off his mount, though Noivern didn't seem too concerned about his wellbeing. It became all too clear why a moment later. "Giratina's Wings..." He grimaced to himself as the faint pulses of energy from the Flare Channeler reached him. The feeling of a joint soul, two energies flowing through a singular entity as if they were one and the same would make it even clearer if the now "magically" floating Channeler opposing them didn't.

"Lamp lampe pent?" Adagio asked as she floated down to Odd's side.

"No, I didn't think we had the only Channelers... But can you blame me for not thinking about it since we've never seen one on the enemy's side before?" Odd retorted to the Lamp Pokemon a moment before he was struck in the chest by a solid wall of sound, which knocked him slightly off balance. The admin's kick phased through his body harmlessly but with him already being off-balance, he was easily launched into the air and off the side of the building by the blast of rapidly expanding pressurized air created by the palm thrust.

"AAAAAHHH!" ~Calm down and save yourself, Sterling!~ Even he would suffer serious injuries from hitting the ground from this far up but given the moment, it took Cadenza reminding him from within his Pokeball to act rather than just panic. Grabbing an Ultra Ball from his belt, he popped it open, aiming it into the air below him. "Treble, get me back up there!" He called to the Drifblim as he extended a shadowy arm of Ghost energy to grab onto the Blimp Pokemon's ribbons and halt his descent at last. Treble moved as quickly as possible, hauling Odd back to the top of the tower.

When the Channeler arrived, he'd be flung into the air via Acrobatics and sent flying toward the Flare Admin with a halberd of Ghost energy in hand, screaming through the air as he brought the blade to bear upon the admin's neck. While he might not do a lot of physical damage if he hit, he'd rip the poor guy's soul to shreds with this move.

Requiem of Whyspers

The Flare admin would attempt to move out of the way of Odd's otherworldly spectral halberd however he was not going to be quick enough and with nothing to push against in front of him with his sound waves he was a sitting Psyduck, a prime target. His Noivern however, proving their bond to be true despite how evil the Wicked Wick said the admin was, would come flying in and knock its trainer out of the way, taking the attack for him. It was in this moment that Odd would notice a freak accident occurred, the set up for something horrible to happen. Like how some times a swordsman hits just the perfect mark to severe someone's tendons Odd had momentarily severed the Channeling bond between the Noivern and the Flare admin. While it wasn't something you could really 'see' it was still there, like a string that could be cut if you knew where it was but typically you didn't so this was just extreme dumb luck. Dumb luck which would prove to be fatal for one party.

Knocked out of the way the Flare admin would stumble on the roof top trying to regain his footing, however he would not be allowed to do so as a certain Kangaskhan came crashing down from above. The admin's attempts to jump back and out of the way would prove for naught as the Kangaskhan landed and slugged him with a Mega Punch, sending the man flying clear off the roof top. Ordinarily for a Channeler with his abilities this wouldn't be a problem, but unbeknownst to Kangaskhan, and Amaranth at the time of the command given, the admin was separated spiritually from his Noivern and was unable to Channel with it in this moment. So what does that mean? Well, let's just hope neither one of them looks down because the Flare admin was not coming back. Odd would know good and well what became of him.

As for the Noivern, it was just out cold for right now, the spiritual attack and severing causing enough shock and trauma to knock it out. Besides the passed out dragon sat a sparkling item. To Odd it was just something pretty but to Amaranth it felt...strange. If she could ignore the fact that she was partially responsible for sending someone to the hereafter she would find the item to be very interesting.

Regardless while this all went on Sub continued to sit in place, Channeling, the waves and sparks of energy becoming more fierce and visibly pronounced. He was building up some serious power, the foul air of dread and maleficence lingering over him and the roof top. One had to wonder if all that really came from the Deoxys or not.

With Aqua grunts being either knocked out or sent treating back into the ocean and Neo Plasma agents retreating into the shadows it would appear the Snagems were getting the upper hand against their invaders. The bridge and beach head was still secured and the teleportation scramblers were successfully all put in place despite the minor set back. For once things were going for them, perhaps they could defend Black City.

This moment of victory however would not last long as Flare would prove once again to be a more than serious threat. Tristen would since it first, well before anyone else would. First it started off as something that felt 'wrong', not even his hybrid sense triggered just yet. Instead he could feel static electricity lingering in the air above White Forest, the many Joltik which made it their home anxious about something. Next he could smell it, the scent of smoke and gas fumes. Something was coming and fast. Regardless of if he did anything or not he would confirm it further by hearing it next; machines, vehicles, blowing through the forest as trees fell. His canine senses would pick all this up before his hybrid senses finally did, and thus at that point Blizzard would as well. It was coming from White Forest.

Soon enough all the Snagems in Black City would be made aware of the charge of Flare tanks plowing through White Forest, a surprise attack coming from the south, Aqua and Neo Plasma's assaults nothing more than a distraction. Well over a hundred armored vehicles rushing toward the city. As the tanks made it out in the open they would begin to fire upon the city its self as they advanced towards it, the guns sending explosive ordinances into the city, fierce explosions rocking it. One thing was noteworthy that they weren't using any Pokemon just yet. Apparently Leslie's sabotage of their PC system had worked out as planned. However it was not time to celebrate that victory as they now had to worry about a full scale blitzkrieg on Black City. Apparently if they couldn't teleport into the city they would just charge in the old fashioned way, destroying anything in their path.

"Are you okay?" Keiko asked, making sure Absinthe hadn't gotten hurt by the rampaging Scolipede.

"I'm fine," Abby insisted, dusting herself off. "That said, that was easier than I thought it would be," she smirked.

"That may not be a good-" Keiko started to say before she could sense the shift in wind from White Forest. "Oh no," she said out of reflex.

"What's wrong?" Abby asked, unable to sense the change in atmosphere that Flare's tanks caused. They were too far into the city for Abby to hear them either.

"I don't know," Keiko admitted. "But it can't be good. Come on," With that, Keiko bolted toward White Forest, leaving Abby to chase after her.

~*~

"That was a bit too easy," I said during Aqua's retreat. "That can't be all they've got. What are they planning?" I explained, mostly to myself. The answer came with a shift in climate, one that was very subtle, but one that I picked up on nonetheless. I couldn't rely on Rala to figure it out since her Psychic abilities would be hampened due to the teleport scramblers around town, so I decided to investigate myself by heading toward the disturbance as fast as my legs could take me.

Though everything happened within the span of maybe a couple of minutes, it all seemed to play out in slow motion. Something... odd happening to Noivern as they moved in to save their trainer, with the Flare admin trying to get away from a Kangaskhan and the slight crater left from her landing. She'd see the attempt end up in vain as he started plummeting to the ground below, almost expecting him to start floating just in time or for Noivern to do something to try and save their trainer again. But none of that happened.

Instinctively, Amaranth lowered her head so she wouldn't see the conclusion of the deadly turn of events that happened instead, knowing good and well that most wouldn't survive a fall like that. At least, not without a lot of broken bones. It wasn't something she felt inclined enough to check; she was sure she knew what state the admin was in now, and she could do without the nightmares that'd come from confirming it. Instead, she'd look up and away, motioning for her Pidgeot to return to the roof for now as her Pelipper and Fletchinder continued their patrol.

As she returned, she'd notice that the Noivern was knocked out for reasons she wasn't sure of unless they were that guilt-stricken, and some odd object next to it that must've fallen from the admin on his way down. It seemed to sparkle a bit from the roof's lights, but what she felt from it was hard to ignore even in light of what had happened or the hand she had in it. It looked like little more than some trinket. A small, but unfinished bird idol with an opal inlaid within an open beak. Small as it was, it felt like it housed something... familiar. Like it was speaking out to Amaranth the longer she stared at it and two kindred spirits had met for the first time.

Trying not to think about the admin's fate, she'd have Gale lower herself upon the roof so she could dismount and pocket the odd item. Then, she'd take out a Great Ball, gripping it in her Snag Machine before deciding to toss it at the fallen Noivern. Something told her leaving the Pokemon alone might not be the best of ideas; discovering their trainer might not exactly be coming back might've been even worse. A solemn bow of her head would follow before finally recalling her Kangaskhan, but anything further would have to wait when she heard the armored vehicles and tanks make their presence known all too clearly.

"Looks like they're starting round two... come on!" Jumping back onto Gale's back, she'd go back into the air to sort out how to start dealing with what began knocking on their door now.

RC and Goodra had turned the Ice Ball into a shower of ice cubes with well-timed Iron Tails. The dragon hybrid would recall his Goo Dragon, and then take off. Along the way, he would get Ryan out of a sticky situation. The duo would arrive near the White Forest side of Black City.

"And the real rats finally show. Ready for this water-boy?" RC would ask Ryan

"Ready as you are Old Man Dragon." Ryan responds.

RC flicks open his SNAG. " Sub, Permission to go Mega." the Hybrid would ask. He was ready to unleash his full strength.

While Ulla's effort to capture one of the Wailords used by Aqua in their submarine attack was successful, she would soon see that her capture did not result in a mass exodus of Team Aqua members as had been expected. It would appear that there had been a slight effort by the aquatic attackers to mix up the Wailords and she had grabbed the one her Pokemon had blasted repeatedly. At least she was guaranteed the capture given how weak it had been after all of the attacks.

On shore, Reno would stare out after the retreating Aquas with a pensive look. This had been too easy and they seemed way too prepared for this whole event to be more easily accomplished later. And then he could feel it somehow. He could feel a mass of moving electricity streaking through the nearby forest to assault them all. "....everyone. Get to the White Forest." Reno said, popping open a singular Pokeball before boarding the Metagross that was produced to dash towards the forest in an effort to head off what he could sense.

From his position near the bridge with his Zorua, Beau watched as Reno took off towards the White Forest with his singular focus. "Well....guess its time to see what fresh hell we have at the forest." Beau muttered, opening a Pokeball to reveal his Fletchinder that quickly grabbed him by the shoulders. "And now, its time to save the day through the liberal use of blowing stuff up." He added as he took off.

----

Leslie couldn't exactly stop herself mid-flight as her target slipped away from where she could hit it, instead choosing to simply slam into the wall that had been behind the large Ground type and bludgeon her way through it. It would take a minute before Aria heard a yell from the other side of the building. "Well! Figured out why the guys ran away!" She shouted from her new vantage point. Aria would only take a moment to walk around the building with her Carbink and Leslie's Onix before she could see the forest in background. And the line of armored cavalry currently charging towards the city in a mad sprint for a sneak attack.

"Now this is going to be a hell of a pickle." Aria muttered, carefully wrapping her arms around her Carbink before she finally gave an order. "Okay.....Carbuncle. Use Power Gem. Aim for the viewports on the tanks, blind the drivers and see if we can force a crash."

Leslie looked towards the line of approaching tanks before shrugging her shoulders and beginning to charge down the street towards her opponent. Her Onix would follow behind its charging trainer, firing off Rock Throws that aimed to crush the tanks or at least make the terrain an absolute nightmare to navigate.

||Ulla and Leon||

Leon was about to chase after the grunt. But, something didn't fit right. "...Ulla" His expression changed drastically as he went on his SNAG and was about to get a hold of his sister. But then he heard something roar in the distance of White Forest. "...Can't believe we fell for the oldest trick in the book..." He grabbed his hover board from his bag as he got on it. Pyroar looked at him strangely as he decided to not ride on his back. "I'm gonna need you to go ahead okay? You're faster with me not on you." Pyroar nodded as he started running towards the noise. When they started getting closer the both stopped. "....Course..." Leon then got on his Snag to try and get a hold of his sister.

"Ulla? Ulla, are you okay?" The little girl then saw the Pokeball stop blinking as she sighed of relief that she caught it. She grabbed it and put it in her bag as she looked at her Mega Lucario. "Yeah, I'm okay. For the most part. Team Aqua is retreating now. How are-" Before she could finish her sentence, she heard Reno call out to the group to head to Whit forest. She looked at her team as they all looked a bit concerned. "Ulla we are gonna need you. Come to-" "White Forest? I'm already on it. Lets go you guys." Togekiss flew over to her as Ulla hopped onto Togekisses back as all of them started heading to them. "One more thing Ulla." "Yeah?"

The line went quiet for a second as Leon then spoke up. "How confident are you in your fairy ability?" Ulla went quiet for a second until she smiled warmly.

Wren started to go after the Garbodor's trainer before he realized that he had other things to do. Continuing on his route, he continued toward the police station in the hope of getting the local cops to aid in the evacuation.

Kaya was a bit surprised to see the enemy retreating so easily as well. The last he recalled, Aqua wasn't so easily deterred from their goals. Unless they had a backup plan already in motion. "By the Maiden's crown..." He could feel something coming from the other side of the city but whatever it was was being drowned out by the incredibly evil feeling coming from inside the city. But despite the messed up energy he sensed within the city's walls, he didn't feel threatened by it at the moment so... It couldn't be -that- bad, could it?

Either way, he recalled Darien and released Tomoe. "Take me to the other side of the city, quick!" He urged the Togekiss. "It's moments like this I wish I knew how to use Succullus' ability to step through space. Not likely something I can learn, though." He told himself, recalling Succellus showing him how he could fold space upon itself and pull stunts like Sub seemed to and move across vast distances in less than the blink of an eye.
