Lireloth was pleased that his greeting was well-met both with a laugh and a bit of a challenge from Fianth and a non-murderous stare from Krah. He'd count that a victory all on its own especially with how the couple met a few of those to join the group after he did. Phew...he'd get a bit of a bye from the tooth and claw of the blue for the start, it seemed. He had his eyes set on the more boisterous dragons.
Suddenly the queen was aloft, rocketing up towards the sky like a bolt of lightning. The other dragons were quick to follow her, Krah leading the pack and daring anyone to close in. He wondered if the blue would have enough stamina to give chase the entire time, but given his flightlust and the sheer willpower to see his mate with the best of suitors Lireloth knew he'd give it his all.
Joining the chase, the brown gave a little trumpet of delight and pumped his wings against the humid air, gaining height and speed as he went. Lireloth knew better than to charge ahead from the getgo, though. He'd need every ounce of strength and stamina that he had to win the day and if he spent it all now he'd surely fail. That and those who drew too close to Fianth would surely be met by Krah's wrath. He was willing to fight for his right to sire her clutch, but this early in the flight? Oh no. He'd let those too eager and too confident in their abilities to be the first to meet the furious blue.
A sire willing to share in the joy of a clutch with both you and your mate, he crooned to the queen as he followed at a distance, close enough to keep her within flying distance but far enough to observe the others that battled with Krah and who he was up against. There was a wide variety in terms of size and pattern with a few rotten apples here and there. It was only to be expected, of course. Lireloth loved openly and freely, color and gender not an issue to him, and while he would be the proud father of the small dragons born he knew that joy had to be shared with both gold and blue. He would welcome Krah to the nest side with him and Fianth if she allowed it, three dragons overseeing what would surely be the most wonderful of clutches to have ever been laid.
Lireloth sent a wave of warmth and contentment with his sentiment. He would certainly show her that he was worthy of her time and affection, but he was a dragon of word and thought first. Hopefully just a bit of what he envisioned would reach her in her harried state.

Dobrokhoth waited, watchful and patient but poised for action, as Fianth blooded a second kill and then a third, addressing some of her suitors as she did so, but the brown did not feel excluded when she did not have words for him, nor was he jealous of the others. Many had come to pay court to the pale Queen on this day, and she could hardly be expected to spend her words and time on them all. Especially not when more than one of her suitors raised her ire! Red shot back into his eyes and he hissed - how dare?! And of all things, they were High Reaches males who should have known better! How disappointing.
Anger fueling him - anger at the insubordinate and foreign males alike - he launched himself into the air after Fianth with a shriek of his own. In his haste, he erred a bit closer to Krahsujunth than was wise, earning a snarl but no claws. Dobrokhoth veered away, and if he happened to fly disruptively close to one of the stranger bronzes or browns, well, that was of course purely coincidental.

NPC Gr'm and bronze Praetoth
The large brick of a bronze was slow when Fianth suddenly took off. He had paid no mind to her blue love, instead focusing his mind on the pale gold he wished to catch. He did not wish to take anything from her, no if he caught her the only thing Praetoth desired was to leave her with a clutch. The bronze had no desire to find love, he only needed his Gr'm beside him, no other dragon could distract him from the help that he gave his rider.
Powerful wings beat the air, pushing his large body as fast as he could, to try and catch up to her.
About Praetoth: The essence of a protector, Praetoth is built like a stone wall. A strong willed bronze who cares about protecting and keeping others safe. He has no time for those who put others in harms way, especially when they make stupid decisions.
About Gr'm: A strong and silent type. Gr'm has been at High Reaches now since Thread returned, but he spent much of his younger time as a mercenary before, and after he impressed Praetoth. Going back to the weyr was strange, but he is slowly getting used to it again.

Meigth offered a bow still to Fianth's words, knowing better than to offer honeyed promises that meant nothing. Why try to seduce when her hearts belonged to another? No, he was not here for love and he would not pretend he was there out of more than duty and perhaps the same selfish desire to show themselves worthy of fathering a clutch on the sands.
He could practically hear N'ori's boys rooting for him, so there was no way he was going to let them down without first putting up a good fight. He would tell Krahsahjuth was judging him in his silence - what would he judge first, that he was not as muscular as some of the other dragons, or the ugly threadscore that spread across his side and chest - a wound that had tried to keep him down? Valid, perhaps, in thought - but not one to keep long. Not when Fianth, riled up to anger, had started away.
And he too, would begin the chase, knowing fully well he bore a very tender patch of flesh that the blue that would savage them all would have no issue with targeting. He would not guard it.
It would seem that for his choice to not fly weakly, in fear of the pain of the blue - and what pain it would have been, given choice targets and tender flesh - he would at least avoid claws and teeth for a moment. He would not flinch when the blue came for him. Instead, he kept his eyes on Fianth, pondering if all words would be hollow in her ears.
He would offer none - they were all there to be flesh, and his was mighty.
--- A dutiful father, N'ori had made sure to check in on his sons before he went venturing off anywhere else. Certain that Kahbrohm and Dehka wouldn't be getting into too much trouble with him, he now had to decide if he was going to pursue the lovely Olliah. Certainly, she was due some company, but with him?
Well, he'd leave that option open for the time being. If Meigth made good on his words, he would follow up on them. At least for now. Which meant it was time to join perhaps many who would be seeking out the Weyrwoman Second. Hmmm.
------ N'ori Charming, bright, and heroic. N'ori can be considered overbearing, but has a genuinely good heart. Those who smile even in the hardest time have a strength no others have, right?
Meigth A long, spindly bronze with a strong torso. He is noble to the point of Martyrdom, and has an uplifting, confident personality that wants everybody to reach for more than what they are.

Hinburath eagerly watched the queen blood her kills and made mental tallies of the other males joining the ring to await the start. He was surprised when Fianth spoke first to a blue. He hadn't considered him at first since blues didn't fly queens. The brown spotted the blue among the crowd. Interesting. He rumbled a laugh at her teasing though brought his attention back to her.
All in good time, Fianth. I wouldn't want to rush anything. No he didn't. There was quite an impressive array of suitors. There was many uses to gossip. How many suitors she had total sprang to his mind. How the flight went. No this was only the start. He wouldn't rush anything.
A sharp bellow after the gold took off made the brown glance around as he also sprang into the sky. He faltered a moment to find the blue that had been waiting for them also in the sky. Well, well well. It seems a blue has entered the chase Ly'burmine. He can't possibly win, but he's acting as if he will. I wonder..... He turned his attention back to beating his wings.

Krahsujunth wasn't wrong. Rixth was one of the least serious dragons on Pern, at least when it came to the sorts of things he was meant to care about, like Thread and... Thread. But he was strong, striking, and smart (or so he thought), and laid out before him was a chance to make beautiful hatchlings with a beautiful gold. He had never passed up such an opportunity before, and even though he had also never been successful in his pursuit, there was always a first time for everything. At the very least he was surrounded by handsome dragons who might provide him with a good time were he to come up short.
Rixth waited, patient on the outside. His limbs tingled as he flexed his wings, and just when he almost seemed late to the party, he silently burst into the air and hastened to mingle with the crowd. He had nothing but flattering words in him—or at least self-deprecating ones—so he chose to follow Fianth's orders and show her just how superior of a specimen he was. He climbed higher and higher with barely any effort at all, angling between the suitors already in flight and picking his spot near the front of the pack. He would have stayed there too, if it hadn't been for Krah's protective ardor. The blue streaked past, claws too close for comfort, and the bronze lost some of his height as he ducked out of harm's reach. It was a pretty little bit of dexterity, one that would be hard to keep up the longer his desire burned.
1 - The furious blue comes streaking towards you, claws outstretched! You manage to duck out of the way of his strike, but it costs you a bit of movement. -2 to total score.

Banashe moved into a slightly shady spot from which to view the flight. Not that much of it would be visible to her eyes. She didn't want to wake up with a bad sunburn. The woman shaded her eyes slightly as she counted the gathering males. So many odds stacked against her. It didn't matter. She was determined women riding browns were just as good as their male brown counterparts.
Severith was focused. His wings rustled and his tail twitched. His eyes remained riveted upon the feeding gold. Wordlessly he shared his feelings with his rider and received hers in return. Of this, they were of one mind. A strange sight caught his attention. Look mine, a blue blooding as though he intends to fly. It intruded the brown a bit. They had assumed only browns and bronzes. But what if?
Do you think she would? The woman asked. It would be unheard of. The gold lifted in a flurry and Severith was quick to follow with his dark lean form. He looked around curiously. Sure enough with a roar of his own came the blue. The gold certainly didn't seem displeased by the blue giving chase. Good flying, he commented to Krahsujunth.
Fianth, do you too support the lowers? She could be a powerful ally to their cause. He and his rider wished to prove to the weyr the strength of those looked down upon. That she allowed a blue to join was promising. Banashe made a small note to speak to Fianth's rider perhaps at some point, before she got swept up.

And she was off, with a beat of his wings he took after her but having just blooded she was far faster and had a great deal more energy than himself and he was easily left behind with a few other dragons. The flight was still young though and he watched as a few other dragons seemed to get too close to her blue mate and a few got a good whip across the snout.

Oh, she spoke to him! If his hearts could patter faster, they would. Sending good cheer the gold's way, he replied, I hunt and I sing and I fight Thread. If any of these make you and yours happy, even for a little, then I am happy. And then he took a few deep breaths before launching into his offering.
It was a gallant, hymn-like melody he began with. On its repeat of the chorus, he split his voice into a lower and higher one as he did during Cynosuth's flight, though with more finesse. It was not her fault she was a green, but there were more stakes here, more to prove in a sea of brown and bronze hides. And Fianth seemed to be angered--a song may not soothe her, but maybe he shouldn't try. Maybe this was best to accent that strength. After several runs of the chorus with slight variations, Argoth's mental voice sang where his physical one dropped out.
Lovely Fianth in the air Sunlight scribed in gold hide, Guided by a stormy blue Lucky to call her bride!
His mental voice hung on the high note as his more guttural song began again. The green's flight had proved he had to be careful about using too much energy to sing rather than to fly, but Argoth couldn't help himself. He hadn't given it his all for Cynosuth and paid for it, and like hell would it happen again for a gold as lovely as Fianth. The twin voices fell away again as his mental lyrics went to the second verse.
Sea of brown and bronze alike Living clouds she's parting Commanding and stained by blood Fierce as--
Something suddenly whipped across Argoth's snout, and he dropped his song with a sharp bugle of surprise and pain. Krah whipped past without so much as a second look, and he whined to himself and tried not to fall too much further behind.

argoth pros: patient, dutiful, loyal cons: low self esteem, clingy, sensitive basically a draconic dog with a p good singing voice who wants to be told he's a good boy
Beautiful Fianth, I will be proud to chase you! It will be my honor to do as I can for the future of Pern. His wings spread wide and he tried not to bugle his delight at the first challenge. He had, before this, been mercenary. He was powerful, and sure of his movements. True, he was made more for strength and speed, but at the same time? Nessuth knew well that he had to step further out in to the fray to prove himself to a Gold such as Fianth. In his haste to follow, perhaps he misjudged his distance to his Blue friend. In a moment's movement, he dodged aside, tucking his wings to roll from the way of the other's claws before shooting after Fianth again, Krah, friend, if I catch your claws or your teeth, I can't promise that I will not respond in kind. For once, his teeth were bared, a tiny tinge of orange swirling in those plum eyes. Nessuth would show them his strength.
The queen seemed to be angry at a couple of the other bronzes, and Tinsereth hoped that her ire would not be turned on him. He watched as she flew away from them, and as her blue mate followed with a challenging bellow of his own. Tinsereth surged after them with a powerful sweep of his wings, looking back at those who moved a bit slower. Krasujunth spared none of his own fury on some of the other suitors, and who could blame him? A veritable crowd had shown up to chase the blue's beloved. Tinsereth would just need to keep away from the blue's reach... If he could.
For now, he followed after the queen, looking to her for cues and waiting to see what the others were doing. To see how he could best show the queen that he had what it took to sire a clutch with her.
