A completely selfless leopard he loves his sister dearly and has a deep sense of honor and pride in his role as her protector. As a warrior he is a formidable opponent, but on the rare occasion that they are alone together, he is a soft-spoken young male with a gentle smile and kind words. More of a pacifist than a brawler, he only fights to defend those less able to protect themselves, though his sister is always his top priority. Though content to be his sister's Second, he is a very intelligent individual.

These two twins are as close as any physically separate siblings can be. With Dahlia being trained as a princess and all the social restrictions that goes along with such a lofty title, her twin brother was her designated protector. Trained from birth to be a warrior he is both her playmate and her bodyguard. Dahlia is very precious, both as a female (for the pride is highly matriarchal) and as one of the ruling pair's oldest daughters. Generally reserved and proper, obeying the standards set for society as she grew up. Her parents always scolded her whenever she acted out of character for her station in life and being so confined it was hard really to find anywhere or any time when she could just be who she really wanted to be, but she still always dreamed of being free to do as she pleased. Brier on the other hand, has been taught that his life exists to protect his sister. He belongs to her and his life is hers also. His single task is to protect and serve her, which he does with great pride. Dahlia had been betrothed to a neighboring pride's King, a large leopard he was cruel and hard on his subjects. He also had several 'wives' already, daughters of his neighbors looking to make an alliance with the warlike leopards. The betrothal wasn't a surprise but when the siblings found out who was to be her husband, Brier instantly realized just what would happen. Not only would Dahlia be part of a harem to a nasty-tempered warrior-king, but Brier would be left behind with no position in his own pride and no hope of ever seeing his sister again. Desperate, Dahlia came up with a plan of escape, in which both of them would finally be free.
Having always wanted to live wild and unrestrained by the constricting rules of proper conduct in their society, Dahlia was determined to escape and of course her closest friend and Guardian would not even hear of her going alone. So one night the pair of them escape into the darkness, turning their backs on a pride more obsessed with rank and wealth than family, and vanish into the wild lands of the open plains.

Mèo Đen is the calmer one of the two brothers. He thinks before he acts and he is the one who makes any final decision on their activities. Mèo is also the one more likely to listen, possessing rather more compassion than his brother. While he is the leader of the two, he is also the more innocent, not that his life has not been hard or bloody its just been a little less bloody than his brothers. The two brothers have such an understanding of each other that they fight like two halves of a whole, rather than as two separate beings. Mèo is the strength and endurance. Both are prime fighters and are perfectly deadly alone, but combined they are a force to be feared.

Meo's early cubhood was difficult. Born of a political pairing, the young cub was given to a lower ranked couple to care for. Slighted by the order to look after the single dark cub, Meo's foster parents treated him poorly. His blood-father was the Council leader, and his mother was a High Priestess. Career driven, the two never once went to visit the young Meo. He didn't exist to them as anything more than the proof that they were a legally mated pair. The all-leopard pride had two factions, and Meo's father was head of one half, his main rival on the council was leader of the other. Life had been tense for months, a fact that Meo could attest to by the frequency of his beatings under the paws of his adoptive parents. Then over night, after weeks of hushed whisperings and midnight visitors, war broke out within the pride. Meo fled after his adoptive parents were slain. With his home destroyed and no reason to stay, the youngster struck out on his own, sore, bloody and heart sick. Weeks past and he survived on insects, small lizards and any scraps he could pick off old kills he stumbled over. Those days were long and hard, but with each one, the young leopard learnt more and more about survival, he learnt to fight but most importantly, he learned how to predict other creature's actions. A skill that was the one gift from his parents, as they had never even given him a name.
Mèo and Siyah met when the cheetah had holed up in a dead valley, a pack of hyena digging furiously to get at the cub in the deep burrows where he had fled. Mèo, unaware of the commotion and looking for a safe place to spend the night, had slipped into the network of old tunnels originally dug by burrowing owls, and enlarged over time by a variety of species. The two cubs found their way into the interior chamber, the air filled with the frantic scrabbling and snarls of the hyenas outside. When the dark cubs finally emerged hours later, three hyenas lay dead, another was badly wounded, and the rest had fled. Siyah Kedi is bold and brash, inclined to solve problems with claws first and often not bothering to ask questions after. Protective of his brother, he sees his brother's generosity as a liability and is the one who prevents Mèo from being used by others for their own gain. Often considered callus, Mèo is the only one he cares about and he doesn't hide that fact. A formidable fighter in his own right, together the two brothers are almost unstoppable. Not only is she the opposite of her twin in looks and build (being rather larger than most), but in temperament also. Where he is patient and kind she is snappish and short with others. Her temper runs quick but cold, and she believes revenge is a dish best served on ice. When it comes to those who are not family she is quite happy to show her fangs and claws as well as her temper. She dislikes company and can't see why anyone must bother her when she is perfectly happy alone. However her family are hers, and while she may not be very nice to them either, often irritable with a sharp tongue, she would fight to the death to protect every single member. Pay any of the family even the smallest slight, and Mai will be coming to collect in return, with added interest.
Tai is the only lion in the entire pride she will tolerate for long periods of time. In fact she is extremely protective of him to the point where she will become violent if he is mistreated or upset. She will often be found lurking in the background watching over him as he plays with their siblings.
It may occur to others that Mai and Tai should probably swop names, as they seem to be named for each other's personality. Since Tai is sweet and gentle, and Mai is a great pain in the a**...
