With his options exhausted, Adder set back into town to heal up his pokemon and make sure he was ready, before heading south. It wasn’t like it was that bad or anything. He was pretty sure his pokemon were going to be pissed at him, though. Well, besides Lady and Pichu. Lady would be kinda…. A natural in the environment, and pichu seemed to have way too much energy. He was still bounding around like crazy looking for eggs. Adder released Toucannon as they entered the area, too, figuring he could help with the trees and higher areas. Hopefully they wouldn’t have to search too much while they were here….

This… sucked. Adder tried to stay out of the mud, but, hell, the whole place was muddy. ‘Nature Trail’… yeah right! Even Pichu was having trouble, taking an energetic step, then promptly falling flat on his face in mud as his foot got stuck. At least Lady was moving around with ease, just…. Gliding over the mud, eating things here and there. She eyed the little stuck pichu, curiously wandering closer. Adder glanced over, frowning. ”Lady, we need to find eggs. He can get up on his own,” he muttered. Oh sad misinterpretations…. But it got her off her train of interest, and off wandering around. Indeed, Pichu did get free, but as he pulled himself from the mud, he produced—an egg. Adder’s eyes widened, and he immediately sloshed his way over, snatching it up, and pulling out his communicator. He was getting out of here.

Laverre City was certainly an oddity in the Kalos region and Ashley had never really taken in the sights. It was … quaint. The kind of quiet place you expected elderly individuals to retire to and live out their remaining days in peace and harmony. The kind of life people strived for with their own little plots that their pokemon could wander on freely enjoying the outdoors.
How boring. The French man scoffed at the thought and adjusted his glasses once more. At this point, Lizzie knew the deal and kept her seat on her Charizard, just watching with intense interest as Ashley and Bastien set out on their search. She still hadn’t figured out how he was doing it but it was impressive nonetheless. Her focus had shifted a bit to Bastien though, who certainly seemed to be struggling…

The fox had set to work immediately searching high and low for the egg. He was dead set on finding it first before his trainer no matter what the cost. The town itself seemed rather simplistic and after some consideration had him believing that locating an egg wouldn’t be that difficult. It was just a matter of looking in the right places. He started with the obvious ones; tall grasses, trees and around the buildings. There were a few other trainers lingering about with their own pokemon, looking as though they were equally dedicated to finding something. Probably egg hunters as well; that could be problematic.

They had started late in the game and so it was only fair that there’d be even more competition for him. The pokemon in use came in wide varieties. There were a few psychics he noticed and quite a few dog-type pokemon out and about sniffing there way along the same paths that he was travelling. That was actually pretty smart; if he could get a good scent to follow then he could certainly track down the eggs using his nose. His sense of smell was pretty strong and more than likely outdid Ashley’s; an advantage he should clearly take.

Of course, that’d require one of the eggs they’d already found and Bastien slumped a little as he remembered that all of them were currently in Ashley’s possession. To take advantage of his idea he’d need to go get one which basically meant sacrificing his chances of finding an egg this time around. That would be one more point against him in this hunt but… well it would be the last if this worked. With new determination, the fox stalked his way back to the paths and took a look around. Ashley had to be close though he didn’t immediately spot him. In fact, a little more surveying and he discovered that his trainer was nowhere near the location he was. Where’d he gone?

A little more looking brought up no results and eventually Bastien resigned to simply waiting with Lizzie and her Charizard until the man emerged once more. Only a few minutes after he’d made that decision, Ashley reappeared from the opposite direction, egg in hand. The man frowned at the sight of the fox simply standing there in waiting, a bit of a scowl working its way onto his face. Bastien didn’t let it phase him (or at least let it show) instead stepping forward and holding his paws out to indicate his wish to hold the egg. The French man just stared, gaze narrowed before slowly handing the egg over to the pokemon per its request. He didn’t delay though in mounting up on the ride. Bastien would just have to do his smell testing as they flew to the next area.

As Zero flew into the city, he was rather surprised to see so much greenery in the town so close to a Pokeball Factory. Well, perhaps greenery wasn’t the right word, as the trees and the grass seemed to have a permanent, Autumnal brown color. Nonetheless, the town itself seemed quite beautiful, sporting something of a somber feel to it.

The rustic architecture was rather nice as well, reminding the young man of times well before modern technology. Though, he did find the gym somewhat odd, with the giant clock above the building built into a tree. It certainly took the term “tree house” to a bit of an extreme, but it wasn’t bad or anything. Just an oddity.

Feeling he’d seen enough from above, Zero made his descent, Ashen dipping low to reach the ground. They landed close to the pokemon center, with passing trainers moving out of the way well past where the Charizard actually went. It may have been a sudden and sharp drop, but they were getting better at flying, bit-by-bit.

What….but how did you?” This was where she began to dig into her back for her Waterstone. Though as much as she could search there was no sign of the blue stone. This threw her for a loop as the Vaporeon looked at her with a whimsical smile. Yes, Misa did know that it required a certain stone to evolve Eevee. She was aware of the Evolution Pokemon’s three evolutions. With the Thunderstone it could turn into an Jolteon, an Electric-type. A Firestone could transforma Eevee into a Flareon which was a Fire-type Pokemon. Then there was the present Pokemon, Vaporeon, where a Waterstone could be used. Maybe there were other evolutions that Eevee could transform into but the Kanto evolutions consisted of those three.
