About: Amon adores traveling and meeting others. He surrounds him self in other cultures just to learn their ways before moving on, but he always leaves them with his most precious gift, his stories. A stallion always on the move he never feels alone, through all the soquili he has met he feels as though he has the largest family in the world. Amon is always up for open ears, loving anyone available to listen to his stories. Most of his inspiration for his stories comes from the others he meets and the events that take place in his life. At times he can become quite flustered in his excitement over new things, his outward gentlemanly demeanor giving away to a quite clumsy stallion at times.
Back story:
Amon Murray was born to two extremely in love unicorn herd leaders. He was raised to accept those the way they came in whatever package they appeared in, they had a purpose in life, weather for good or evil, life was full of yin and yang. Though not wanting to raise a naive son he was told to be cautionary of the typically power hungry kalona's and the always evil skinwalkers. Once older Amon realized his gift of creating wonderful stories just by the things he had seen and heard from around him. His audiences were captivated by his tales and little ones begged for stories of adventure. Eventually Amon wanted to live his stories and decided to explore what the world had to offer, meet other soquili breeds he had never seen but only heard of. After months of being on his own and meeting many lovely soquili of all different backgrounds he found himself in unknown territories. By this time he was beginning to feel uneasy, it had gotten uncharacteristically quiet in the previously lively forest. He didn't have long to wait to understand what was happening. A uniformed band of kalona had circled him, he could see their leathery wings and malicious glint in their eyes, see their breath fogging around their muzzle in the chill midday. He honestly thought it would be the day he died. As they descended upon him and bit at him, laughing at his bellows and attempts to fight them off, he was knocked to the ground where a particularly mad looking mare crashed her hoof down on his horn. Agony ripped through his battered body and he saw stars, but adrenaline set in and he surged to his hooves. In a deep rumbling voice laced with sorrow he began to recite a story to his attackers, speaking over them until at last he had their attention and they began to listen to the words. When he finished he had five dumbfounded kalona staring at him with looks of amazement. The mare he supposed was the leader smirked and announced they would not kill him that day, but return to their grounds and be their prisoner. He would tell his stories in exchange for his life. Weeks passed and he steadily grew weaker, unable to sustain himself on the food they provided him, and finally when he grew too weak to even tell a story, the leader took a sharp blade in her mouth and began torturing him until he told them what he imagined would be his last story. He recalls now how it happened, how he got away. He lay, waiting for death, surely he would t have to endure any more torture? When a young mare came to him in the night and helped him to his hooves. She took most of his weight and briefly he thought he was much too heavy for her, but then he was skin and bones. They walked for what seemed to be hours, his cuts burned and blood flowed freely from his eye, he was sure he was in and out of consciousness, and when he finally woke up fully, he found himself bandaged and blind in his left eye. He would never forget his rescuers face as long as he lived, for as soon as she saw he was awake and moving, she cast him a very sad smile before darting out of the cave. She didn't come back, and he has yet to find her again.
Since then he has a super fascination for Kalona and any others of vastly different backgrounds.
