“Ta-ta-Ra!” Her thoughts were broken from a sound from next to her. A familiar purple rat creature was looking at her with this gleam in its eye. It was holding something on its person that looked awfully familiar. ’Is that the stone I got from before? It looks like that Pokemon is guarding it…’ The creature was beginning to egg her on for a battle and of course Misa would comply. Since this wasn’t a Pokemon that didn’t have a weakness of Ground or Electric-type attacks she sided with using Pikachu. It was a rat creature that seemed very possessive of the small rock it was holding. Whatever the reason for this encounter it looked like a battle was going to get underway. Returning back to the billboard, her eyes looked for information about the stones she had been finding. Misa looked at the various posters plastered on the board. She even looked at the older ones to see if there was something about the stone. Looking under the new ones the teen did manage to find one paper about the stone. On the paper was a stone that looked like the two she already had in her bag. What that piece of paper informed her was that the stone was called an Everstone and was used to devolve Pokemon. ’I wonder if I can use it on Charizard and devolve him. It might be a better solution than breeding. That way the Professor won’t recognize Charizard and then Charizard can choose whatever life it wanted.’

Well, there was only one way to solve this issue and that was with an plain old-fashioned Pokemon Battle. Misa already had planned to use Geodude for any Pokemon that had the Poison Point ability. Even a Lv. 5 male Nidoran could still inflict some heavy damage on any of her Pokemon. No reason to risk a Poison if she could help it. Not only that but there was still more to find in this place. She wasn’t going to let the romance between two Pokemon interfere with her journey. ”Geodude, front and center please.”

It was starting to feel like Misa should just keep Pikachu and Geodude outside their ball. Though there was this slight fear that doing so would make herself less vulnerable. Pokemon were probably more likely to attack those who didn’t have some tough looking Pokemon on their team. Which was one of the main reasons why she kept her Pokemon inside their balls. When she wasn’t looking for a Pokemon or to train her partners then she was more than happy for everyone to be out of their balls. Like when she was in Mt. Moon and how her partners would assist her with dinner along with other meals.

”Pikachu let’s go!” The yellow creature popped out of its ball with much excitement as it faced another rat Pokemon. It could sense that this was a stronger opponent and would be a good use to show its strength to the human. The Electric-type could feel its energy flowing through its body and was ready to demonstrate it for Misa. The Rattata looked towards the two who hadn’t even instigated a battle. Looking at the determination on Pikachu’s face it knew what was coming. Thus the purple Pokemon got into a defensive stance as it placed its Firestone on the ground. It was ready!

The battle slided into another victory for Misa and Pikachu. Pikachu got the experience it needed for the next battle while Misa walked over to the deserted Firestone on the ground. The teenager picked up the stone and could feel the warmth emitting from it. The feeling was different from the Everstone she had picked up from before. It felt as if she could be wrapped around this stone’s warmth. Maybe she was beginning to understand the triggering effect for evolution.
