Katriana Violet I'm not a simple Jinx, I'm much worse.A young-looking woman leaned out a window on the thirteenth floor of an apartment complex in Washington, DC, looking down at the busy streets below. She sighed and blew a lock of dark pink hair out of her face, then pushed away from the window sill, retreating into the apartment. Katriana Violet, also known as the bad luck manipulator and speedster Hex, closed the window and sighed again. "I'm bored. I think it's about time we did something to shake things up, don't you, Ari?" she asked the blond woman sprawled on her couch, a smirk starting on her face as the tattoo around her left eye started glowing purple. She sauntered over to the blonde and ran her fingers through the woman's hair, imagining how beautiful it would look dotted with the dark crimson of someone else's blood. "Oh no," she smirked. "I was thinking something a little more...let's say public. Lot of cars down there. Busy DC traffic." Katriana raised an eyebrow suggestively. I'm a HEX. Watch your back.

Katriana Violet I'm not a simple Jinx, I'm much worse.Katriana grabbed Arielle's hand and pulled her onto her back before zipping down the side of the building. She set the other woman back on her feet and walked over to a light pole. She set her hand against the cold metal and sent a spark of bad luck energy through it, focusing on exactly what she wanted to happen. A moment later, the traffic light nearest her began to flicker, then turned off completely, taking all the lights for two miles down with it. Tires screeched as dozens of drivers panicked and either sped up or stepped on the brakes, resulting in a ten-car pile-up at least. People screamed, people stared, and through it all, Hex grinned. "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes," she cackled. She'd always loved that scene from Macbeth. She identified so well with the wyrd sisters. I'm a HEX. Watch your back.

Oracle suddenly registered a power surge in the downtown DC area and sent out an automatic call to the members of the League that she registered as being available to answer her. "Arcana, BurningFeng, a power surge in downtown Washington, DC, has shut down all electricity within a two-mile radius of the city center. The energy signature registers as the metahuman known as Hex. Intercept immediately."((Oracle is also an NPC, so anyone is free to use her if they wish. I use the same color for Oracle and M'gann: ))
