"You can go first...I'll -cough- hold your feet..." Indie responded to Tristen, looking away as he coughed and covered his mouth, trying not to be rude though how much it made up for the offense of his smell was debatable. Once they were in position and Indie was holding Tristen's feet the Poison type trainer would look around at the others, seeming to gauge distance and who was paying attention to them. Once he was comfortable they were out of ear shot and not drawing anyone's attention he leaned in a little closer to Tristen and spoke to him, ceasing his counting of Tristen's reps.

"They are planning to jump you..." Indie whispered to Tristen, delivering to the boy an ominous declaration. Who was they? "...they are repaying a debt...and you're the currency." He continued, his voice sounding much clearer than it ever had before, not the least raspy as it usually was. After he said that he straightened back up and acted like nothing happened, declaring the number they left off on. "...be careful...don't want to lose...count..." He said, back in his raspy tone.

Tristen went down onto the ground, got into position to start his sit-ups and started to have at it. He barely got into his fifth or sixth rep before things only gotten more tense for him. Once Indie spoke, Tristen stared at him in confusion for only a couple of seconds. He quickly turned his head to see where everyone else was trying to do their reps then back at Indie. ‘They’? Team Star, presumably? Would they honestly be so brazen? And why were they coming after him? He wasn’t part of the Starfall raids over the past week. In fact, he tried to distance himself from anything Snagem related as much as he could. In fact, the most he did so over this past week was when he managed to meet with Sub the other day, though he had that Star guy in tow. Well, there was that Leslie incident in math last week too, but the only ones that had any idea about something being up at all was maybe Nemona and Penny. Did that Atticus guy manage to get word out that Sub and he knew each other somehow?

Tristen resumed his reps, if only a bit slower now. “I take it that this is not one of those rumors again, is it?” Tristen said a lot more silent, basically speaking when he managed to sit-up before he laid back down so Indie could here. “How did you hear about something like that?” Tristen asked, trying to play it a little cool here, carefully wording his sentences as to not to tip his whole hand. Truthfully, he didn’t know where Indie stood, let alone most students here, and he’s been in the dark with what all that happened with the Starfall raids. He had to try to get some sort of information. Whatever he can get he was bound to try to tell Sub as soon as he was able.

"No...twelve...no..." Indie responded between counts, keeping a look out to see if they were being watched instead of making sure Tristen was performing complete sit ups, he wasn't really concerned about that at the moment. "I..." He began to say, leaning in again. "...used to follow Atticus..." Indie said, revealing he was once a follower of Atticus which implied he is a former member of Team Star. It was convenient that a former grunt of Atticus, the only Star Boss Tristen has even encountered, would be the one to approach him with such information. Was it a coincidence or was there something else there?

"Fourteen...someone has a grudge...fifteen..." Indie continued, again not looking at Tristen, the Poison trainer apparently very paranoid.

Soon enough they'd finish Tristen's set and to keep up appearance Indie and Tristen would switch with Tristen holding his feet down and Indie going about doing the sit ups, poorly. He expected Tristen had more questions so stayed silent until such a question was delivered.

Tristen would trade places with Indie, looking about to watch the others. He was with that Atticus guy? Seriously? Why in the world is he telling him now? That’s not to mention somehow between the other day and now, Atticus has been in touch with at least Indie, if albeit indirectly. Was there a leak somewhere? That same someone that managed to point Tristen out for being a strong trainer? “One…..two……three….” Tristen spoke up, trying to blend in with the rest of the bunch. When the opportunity was there, he went for it. “…its Matteo, isn’t it?” Tristen would then start to speak silently, waiting until Indie was sitting up once again just so he could keep it between the two of them, the Manetric hybrid insinuating that it was Matteo with the grudge. Someone doesn’t just stay missing for three days and not come back like that for no reason. “Is that the only reason they are coming after me? Because I beat Matteo over the weekend? And whatever the case, why tell me this?” He also was compelled to ask. Wasn’t this a betrayal on Team Star? It also begged the question if Matteo had been part of Team Star for longer than he given him credit for. There were just too many questions but he couldn’t just grill Indie for the answers. Indie was looking rather paranoid, like he was already desperate for his next hit of his vape, which probably wasn’t too far from the truth, but it was probably more trying to keep it on the downlow. Probably to make sure Matteo wasn’t overhearing at bare minimum…but if Indie is here, who is to say that there wasn’t anyone else in this very class that were with those thugs?

"Matteo...?" Indie responded, gasping before he could get his name out and then wheezing right after. Boy did he wish he had his vape right about now, it would make this exercise stuff a breeze but alas he didn't risk it. "No...I...don't think...so..." He said while doing the sit ups and gasping at the same time, was he going to just collapse right in front of Tristen? "He left Star...before I...did..." The vape sucker continued.

"I don't know...reason..." Indie struggled to get out, trying to say he didn't know why there was a hit out on him, at least not completely, perhaps his source wasn't that deep into the upper echelons of Team Star. "All I know is...grudge and...Schedar Squad...ugh..." He said, collapsing before finishing the nineteenth sit up, failing to do the full twenty. "Ugh...my bag...inhaler...please...?" He fought to get out, pointing to a purple bag sitting on a bench at the sidelines of the battlefield they were on.

Tristen was caught off guard by Indie’s statement, Matteo was with Team Star before? Did Fela, B, and E know about that, too? As in he quit before now? But then…Indie as well. All former Team Star. It left him to wonder why they quit, but those were questions for another day, provided it wasn’t too personal. The Schedar Squad though…who was that? Was that one of the bases that they already stomped on? It wasn’t adding up to him still. It left him to wonder that the bunch that has been trying to intimidate him the past couple of days were part of it. “…Twelve……Thirteen…Fourteen…..” Tristen said aloud, trying to keep up appearances still. All the same, if it wasn’t because of Matteo, then why were they coming after him. The only thing that he could figure was that they knew he was a Snagem. And they were trying to single him out. Though if they knew he was, did they make that kind of a lackluster impression they figured they can pick off someone they maybe view as weak? And for that matter, again, how did anyone know? Let alone them? Someone had to have spilled the proverbial beans somewhere, somehow. His mind raced quickly over the past week, trying to figure out if there was anything that he did. There were those slip-ups he had, like exposing Dragonite to Fela or telling Penny that he had an Espeon, but did that alone show he was a Snagem? What about the initial class before everyone went on their path? The triple battle that he made a poor showing in? What about that girl during the tournament, the one with that Cursola and that oversized Klawf? She said she wasn’t going to say anything; she was the only one who outright knew somehow. What did she have to gain by exposing him though? Was she with Team Star? Too many suspects and nothing was off the table honestly. He couldn’t figure it out.

“…Eighteen….…nineteen……..uh wha?” He listened to Indie’s request then looked over towards the bleachers, to Indie’s bag. He could at the least help this guy. “Yea, sure, hang on.” Tristen would get up and rush to get his bag and bring it back to Indie. He didn’t really want to rummage through the bag without him actually watching him do it and suspect him of foul play. For that matter, he was hoping that it was an actual inhaler that he was looking for and not his stupid vape…though it raised the question why he was using a vape anyways if he was using a inhaler too. Who knows? He brought the bag next to Indie and opened it up in front of him. “Uh, where is it exactly?”

"Front pocket...red inhaler..." Indie responded to Tristen, wheezing as they waited for the boy to find and hand them their inhaler. Once they received the inhaler they'd take one long and hard hit off of it before letting out a fierce cough fit and once that upside the fellow student seemed much better, sitting up straight and talking fine. "Thank you..." They said, thanking Tristen. Looking around they noted they attracted the attention of Ms. Dendra who appeared to be ready to walk over and check on them however they gave the teacher a thumbs up to indicate they were fine causing her to nod and back away.

Turning to Tristen they spoke, though not as freely as before as they no longer felt comfortable doing so. "Be careful...Tristen." Indie said, wishing to leave this discussion where it currently stood.

-----

The rest of PE class would pass in time though it was perhaps not an easy remaining hour for Tristen. He wouldn't work out any further with Indie who got benched by Ms. Dendra after they went into a coughing fit after they started to get a run in. After finishing up all the various exercising filling the hour the bell would ring and mark not only the end of this period but also the end of the school day, Ms. Dendra releasing her students to their own devices. Indie however had left minutes before it rang with Ms. Dendra's permission. And Matteo? He left super quick, almost running off.

With the school day done that left Tristen with just one last task at hand and that was to get some buggy training in with a few of his classmates.

A good deed done for the day. Though it still left Tristen wondering why he sucked on the vape a lot harder than he sucked on the inhaler, or if Indie realizes that vape is the reason why he is on that inhaler, or rather why he’s worse for it. But Indie’s word of caution to be careful. Something he was already ahead of Indie on. Part of Tristen wondered if how Team Star is now is not the Team Star he joined a while back ago. Who knows at this point…

Truthfully, the exercises for the rest of the day weren’t really terrible at all. Though it left Tristen looking around at the other students about him. Sort of distracted, even. He was left to wonder just who was with Star and who wasn’t at this point, especially if Indie kept it on the downlow between the two of them. Matteo might not be with Team Star anymore, but who is to say that he didn’t turn around and go back over the past couple of days. It left Tristen a little bit wondering what exactly transpired before he showed up in the halls of this academy. Fela stated that Matteo actually got into a fight with some of Team Star, but Indie said at one time he was with them. So, was what Fela talked about a falling out? Too many questions still. It left Tristen a bit on edge; something he found himself agitated over. He already was feeling pretty awkward just trying to get used to school life instead of Snagem life, at least for a little while, but it seemed like Snagem life was just too dominant. Tristen wasn’t going to find peace here, he imagined.

Once the final bell rung, Tristen was about to see about confronting Matteo for at the very least not being around for days, but before he had any opportunity to do so, Matteo was off the fields as if a ghost. Probably didn’t tell B or E where he was headed off to either, if Tristen had to guess. All the same, as much as Tristen wanted to go directly to Fela and the whole entire entourage, Tristen needed to put Sub on alert. He couldn’t do it here, not out in the open. He didn’t want to flash out the SNAG and start making calls on it. Before he’d go meet Fela, he would need to head off to his dorm real quick. It was the only place that he could figure to get some actual privacy. The Manetric hybrid would tell B and E to let Fela know when they see her when the two meet up, that he wasn’t going to be long at all, that he needed to take care of something back at his dorm, didn’t elaborate or anything of that sort, just that he needed a few extra minutes before he went off with them, Fela, Camp and Penny on a taxi ride. Once he separated from the twins, leaving the field, he took the direct way to his dorm.

Along the way to the dorm Tristen would spot at least three different Team Star grunts glaring at him from across the halls or behind groups of people, each of them at different points along the way and none of them doing more than glaring at him. It was becoming clear that these weren't intimidation tactics but rather that he was being watched, perhaps tracked even. Their appearances had also become more frequent. Team Star had taken a concerning interest in him and as far as he could tell what with everything they weren't going to let this go peacefully. Eventually it would all come to a head but how it would he didn't know.

He'd make it to his dorm room just fine however, closing the door behind him and finally finding himself in safety and solitude. No Team Star eyes glaring at him in here.

Tristen continued along down the halls; trying to remain casual as he possibly could. He started to notice that there were the poorly dressed Team Star grunts out and about the halls, so at the very least a number of them weren't possibly concerned of being out in the open as they were. They were emboldened for some reason. But they weren't trying to confront him. He couldn't help but to wonder why. Try as he might to remain casual, he was well on guard. Discreet, these people are not.

He'd make it to his dorm, closing the door behind him, and went even as far as locking the door. He didn't want any unexpected company suddenly, without warning. Despite having his door locked when he left this morning, he was suddenly compelled to check his bathroom real quick to see if anyone broke in and hiding, then around the corner to where his bed was, going to his window and closing the blinds to his windows. Tristen didn't want to take any chances. Tristen sighed hard, unable to believe that he is taking these measures. He never wanted this, just as he has said since last week. Knowing that just because they were kids like he was, nothing was off the table. Something that his adoptive father long since understood and respected Tristen for. He then made his way over to his bed, sitting down on it, taking out his SNAG and started to signal off for Sub.

Sub would answer with surprising speed, just a single ring was able to get off before he answered and his tone was one that made you think he was expecting, waiting, for this call. "Talk to me, Tristen." Sub said to Tristen through the SNAG, waiting just a second before he spoke again. "It's Team Star, isn't it?" He asked, unable to shake the feeling he had, after all it wasn't like Tristen contacted him all that much, not when he could go to his father but this was definitely one situation where he could understand the boy rather reach out to himself than his father.

“Hey, Sub…” He said, trying to keep it down so if there was anyone outside of the door, despite him being across the room, no one would easy hear even with ears to the door. “Yea, its Team Star. You told me to call if I got any issue dealing with them and boy did I find myself deep somehow. I ended up finding out this Schedar Squad has me marked and they are set to attack me at any time. I don’t know when.” Tristen said. “I found out from someone that apparently used to be with that Atticus guy you had with you the other day and quit Team Star sometime before we showed up. I’m not sure if they have a grudge with me directly for some reason, or they’re going to come at me to get back at you. I ended up seeing a bunch of Team Star on the way to my dorm here before and I’m sure they were watching me. And what’s worse, I got friends expecting me here very soon. We were planning on going off to work on our science projects and I would rather not get them involved in whatever Team Star has planned.”

"Schedar Squad..." Sub began to say, taking a second to think about a few things before speaking again. "They were the first of Team Star's five squads that we defeated, their boss, Mela, coming along with us willingly after feeling remorse for her actions. Why they would be the ones to mark you, or even how considering they disbanded, I haven't a clue. If it's revenge against us then wouldn't it be from one of the later squads? Maybe some disgruntled grunts? Hm..." Sub mused aloud over the SNAG, trying to piece this together for Tristen.

"As for Atticus he was the only one that didn't go without a fight, he had to be dragged to the academy. I'm sure he isn't happy with us but he led Navi Squad." Sub continued. "Tell you what, Tristen, I'm going to look into this, ring up the director and see what he did with Atticus and who he has been in touch with since I brought him. Also see if I can't get a hold of Mela, she has been very helpful since her squad's defeat so maybe she can give us some info on what's going on. Just stay safe, keep an eye out, and if they come looking for a fight...well...you're a Snagem, you know what to do." Sub said in a tone that indicated he was giving off one of his devious grins on the other end of the SNAG.

"If anything else comes up let me know, I want to know anything and everything about Team Star and if it gets too crazy...never mind, just have fun with your pupils for the rest of the day. Talk to you later." And with that Sub hung up.

Tristen knew what Sub had meant. If Team Star was ballsy enough to come at Tristen, presumably make sure that his friends stay safe, but otherwise, show them why it was a massive mistake to try to come after him. “Alright, thanks Sub.” Tristen said before he disconnected from him. Tristen only could think for a second. He thought about what he had in his party right at the moment. Apart from Wimpod, who he needed to bring along to help train Spewpa, he was fairly certain he was well prepared. He still couldn’t help but to be frustrated about the whole situation, however. He never wanted to deal with this. He wanted a good time learning new things, making new friends, actually being more of a kid than normal. He wanted to have a good experience, good memories to boot…but there was someone out there wanting to ruin it for all involved. Even those who aren’t Snagem.

Tristen would get up from the bed and quickly got changed out of his uniform. He wanted to be at least a little prepared if push came to shove and it might give somewhat an excuse to Fela and the rest of the bunch as to why Tristen took those extra few minutes, as weird as it might be. He would get dressed in his normal wear instead of his school uniform; the weighed, severely fire-resistant set. Electrike green jacket, kahki pants, black tank top underneath it. He’d once again stash his SNAG on him, made sure that he had his stuff together for that matter, then started his way off for the front to meet with the entourage. If one thing that he was not going to do, all the same, was live in fear of a bunch of bullies. He's done that once in his life…and it was once too many…

Tristen would find the group gathered and awaiting him just outside the academy's front door, the twins running around the court, Camp playing with their Scatterbug project, and then Fela and Penny just sitting on a bench with the former watching the boys and the later with her nose in her phone. Fela would be the first to notice Tristen and waved him over. "Hey Tristen! Everything okay? Didn't mind waiting for you, just wanted to make sure nothing bad happened." Fela asked.

As Fela got her answer Penny looked up and gave Tristen a small wave before going right back to her phone, whatever going on it far more important than anything else. Eventually Fela would call out to the twins and Camp, bringing the boys over and collecting the group. With everyone finally gathered Penny summoned for two Squawkabilly taxis, the flying cabs arrive in just minutes. One might wonder how they appear so quickly but it was probably one of those things that just was best to accept and not ask.

With six of them they would have to split up, the twins and Fela taking one cab as she was better at controlling the mousey boys, while Penny, Camp, and Tristen took the other. Before long they would be up in the air and off towards Cortondo. Though this did not pull Penny's vision away from her phone as she continued to play on it the entire flight, only Camp speaking to Tristen.

"So, Tristen, you're from Johto, right? Ever battle Bugsy?" He asked, Camp of course turning the conversation to the matter of Bug type Pokemon, a true Bug Catcher at heart. "It's kind of my dream to meet him. And Aaron of Sinnoh's Elite Four. The biggest Bug Catcher and the most powerful Bug type expert respectively!" He said, continuing to go on about Bug trainers and Bug type Pokemon but that topic likely didn't interest Tristen too much, especially with far more important things to think about.

Before lone the two groups would land at almost the same time in front of the Cortondo Pokemon Center, the landing smooth as silk and Camp still talking about Bug Pokemon as they stepped off, something about Bugsy's signature style of battling with Metapod and Kakuna. Fela would be the one to rescue him as she approached Tristen's group with the twins in tow. "Camp, I don't think Tristen wants to hear anymore about bugs, it's already the focus of today's outing."
