It was a horror novel, one well written enough to give many nightmares. Milly closed her book for the moment and grinned up at Daemon. "For awhile now."

"I've been telling you that from the very beginning." Daemon said with a chuckle. "Larai and I were going to go for a walk in the forest for a while. We were hoping to spend the day together, if that's alright with you...?" he said, not wanting to make her feel lonely again while he spent time with his woman.
