► It would have been an understatement to say Fremy was angry with the Donphan for its hasty actions. Livid would have been a more accurate statement. She understood the logic behind its thinking and despite a successful capture and a gracious payment she still found herself sending the Pokemon to the PC first chance she got. Normally she'd under no circumstance remove such a powerful tool for her belt but this constituted an exception to the rule. To do otherwise risked using it for target practice before bed. Maybe it was just the thought of losing or having to postpone the payment or the fact she'd gotten turned around at Mt.Moon and was now back in Pewter Town rather than Cerulean City facing her second Kanto Gym. Whatever the cause something triggered the short-lived bout of anger that had left her feeling scorned and defeated.
"Excuse me miss!, you can't bring that in here!, what are you even doing with a gun in public?!" The Nurse Joy demanded to know rushing to intercept Fremy as soon as she crossed the threshold of the door. She'd had been anticipating this and already had a solution. And a solid alibi to boot. Compliments of her preview client's own stupidity for thinking he'd hired a Pokemon ranger. "Oh I'm sorry ma'am. It's a tranquilizer gun." The one-eyed fem lied pulling the release back and letting the preloaded tranquilizer dart fall into her waiting hand. "I was helping relocate a Pokemon that been causing problems for a farm just outside of town." Fremy explained putting on a sweet front. The nurse Joy paused as if to consider this the truth of further her questions. "I can leave it at the front desk if you'ed prefer ?" Normally letting her blunderbuss out of sight was less likely to happen then sending Donphan to the PC but the temptation of a fresh bed, hot meal, and steamy bath outweighed the risks to rewards. "I'd prefer if you did yes please." Fremy smiled and handed over the gun watching carefully where the Nurse joy stored it just encase of an emergency.
A hot bath was the first item on Fremy's to-do list having gone more than a week without one. Bathing in an ice cold mountain river might be good for one's health but did nothing for personal pleasures. Especially when compared to having a quite steam filled bath all to yourself. Fremy's fingers and toes were therally pruned when she'd finally had enough of soaking and got out. Wobbuffet had at her request washed her clothes so they sat fresh on the bed. Next up was something to eat but due to some commotion she postponed her meal opting instead to read over a few job requests.

Grayson shrugged listlessly at Azalea's curt question, "I was just making sure I heard you correctly," he half-handedly tried to defend himself. He knew how much fun it was to waste one's breathe repeating things, he just couldn't fathom the idea of Azalea running around a forest looking for a single mushroom. But hey, if that was how she wanted to spend her time good on her. He scratched his cheek and cracked his neck to the side. "Guess you've got a point..." he agreed. "Glad you found your fungus, I guess." Maybe he'd just ask Azalea to keep a look out for him the next time he found himself in need of a Big Mushroom, she clearly knew what she was doing.
Pleased that Azalea could see his side Grayson graciously plucked up two more chips from her offered bag, "you're gonna spoil me," he joked between bites. Of course he didn't want to spoil his dinner or anything, so after taking those two the teen left the rest of the chips to their owner. "I have weird tastes?" Grayson chuckled at that, left amused at that the fact that it was Azalea who said that. "Says the one who loves all things odd." He had weird tastes? Now wasn't that funny. After explaining that he was on an, admittedly vague, mission and that he couldn't give Azalea many details on it he only nodded at her. Void might as well have been a synonym for 'secret', everything they did was usually hush-hush, at least to those lower on the food chain.
Once he'd managed to successfully rope Azalea into meeting his new-- well, he actually wasn't sure what to call Emmet-- he turned around to start heading back to the table. "Yeah, well my days are always filled with excitement," he joked as his excuse for why he was always tired. It was totally that, and not because he was only capable of getting one to two hours of sleep, every so often. Grayson gave a sigh as he sat down into his seat, placing his tray onto the table in front of him. "Here's your coffee." Extending the cup out to Emmet Grayson fell into silence as he began to eat, he'd leave the conversing to the other two.
Taking his cup Emmet lifted it up to his face, and as he took a sip of his dark roast he looked over at Azalea. "Something like that," he answered slowly. Adjusting his glasses he gave a brief sigh and folded one hand over the other atop the table. "A pleasure to meet you, Azalea. You may call me Emmet." He took a look over at the few pokemon Azalea had out before humming in slight confirmation. "A Scolipede, Bulbasaur and Toxicroak," he listed off the few poison types he could see surrounding Azalea before he nodded slowly. "Yes, it's always nice to meet someone else with similar interests. How long have you been working with poison types?" Though not entirely.. ecstatic over the woman's greeting Emmet didn't seem phased, and instead simply continued on with a conversation.

Azalea's expression gave away the fact that she didn't accept Gray's explanation that he wanted to make sure he was hearing her correctly. She had spoken in a clear tone at a reasonable volume, but whatever, she wasn't going to argue about something stupid like this and waste more time. Instead, she asserted that Void wasn't so generous as to just hand over things like a rare mushroom for personal interest, which Gray accepted as a valid point. With that over, Azalea eventually conceded to handing him more chips, though she found the fact that she was his favorite human strange, and commented as such. Given her own strange tastes though, Grayson seemed to find her comment hilariously amusing. "I like odd things, sure, but that's normal for me yo. You're the one who's supposed to be the somewhat sensible one, so the fact that you like me in my oddity makes you have a strange taste in people." Azalea reasoned dismissively, taking another chip to chew on.
Considering Grayson's typical vague mission, Gray managed to coax Azalea into being somewhat social since she apparently had something in common with their.... Coworker, she supposed he was, for lack of a better word. The fact that Gray had managed to convince her to be social was a feat in of itself, but Azalea greeted Emmet in a semi reasonable manner. It still wasn't the friendliest greeting ever, but it was certainly better than how she had treated the bikers earlier. Emmet introduced himself, though it came off more like a request for what to be called, and because of that Azalea felt inclined to call him anything but Emmet. Plus his full name was kind of a mouthful. "Yeah alright E." Azalea commented dismissively, looking away. It was clear that she wasn't buying into his pleasantries. She wondered how far he was willing to go to stay this courteous. She didn't care about all of that BS; it was a waste of time. How far did she have to push him? It would be interesting to see him snap, given how calm and composed he appeared to keep himself. Azalea glanced at Emmet again, her blank stare touched with a sinister sort of amusement now as she took her seat.
She quirked an eyebrow as he noted her pokemon out loud. "Wow, you know their names and everything. I bet you know your ABC's too." Azalea commented with a dull sarcasm. She had to think for a moment as Aster asked about her experience with poison types though. It was hard to say, given her first few memories of life were hazy. "Not sure. Pretty much for as long as I can remember." She suggested with a shrug. She was pretty sure she was designed to work with poisons and plants, since she had such an expensive knowledge of them naturally. After all Void had her working with plants as soon as she had recovered, and she was able to do things without even really being aware that it wasn't a natural ability, like knowing how to take care of certain plants, and what their properties were, and other similar things.

To Azalea's disbelieving expression Grayson simply stared, eventually looking away when he yawned. It didn't matter if she didn't believe that he hadn't heard her, it was over and done with and they could move on from there. Which thankfully they did. The teen gave a simple shrug when Azalea pointed out that she was the odd one in their... odd relationship, or at least the one who expressed a liking to it. "Being sensible takes too much work," he lamented. "Call me what you like though, won't change the fact that you're still my second favorite." Grayson paused, "keep questioning me though and you'll be pushed down to third, or even fourth."
He was rather impressed with his negotiation skills--skills he didn't even know he possessed-- getting Azalea to actually want to socialize with another being. Though Grayson didn't get any 'warm fuzzies' over bringing two like-minded individuals together, he did feel some relief when he was finally able to sit down and start eating. Biting into his sandwich he noted Emmet wrinkle his nose at the unnecessary nickname Azalea gave him, things were already going swimmingly. Much to Emmet's credit, however, he recovered quickly enough and took a long sip from his coffee to compose himself. Such a... charming young lady.
Emmet placed his cup back onto the table, though he kept his fingers interlaced around its smooth surface. At Azalea's comment he didn't bother to even bat an eye, "why yes, I do," he reported. "I can even say them backwards, did you want to hear me say that?" He wasn't phased by her sarcasm, as unnecessary as it was, and would take it all in stride, if not offer his own rebuttal then give a quirk of an eyebrow in unamused acknowledgement. The man took in a breath before he nodded at Azalea, a more vague answer than he would've liked but acceptable all the same. "Have you done any experiments involving the toxins secreted by Toxicroak's claws?" he questioned, even gaze falling back to the toad.

Azalea snorted lightly as Gray threatened to drop her down to third or fourth favorite if she kept questioning him. "I never questioned you, I just said you had odd taste in people." When asked how long she had been working with poison types though, her answer seemed unsatisfactory to Emmet, though he was at least reasonable and understanding for having received such a vague answer. It really was the best she could give him, though with a personality like Azalea's, he couldn't be blamed if he'd thought she was being vague on purpose. She tilted her head in thought as Emmet asked if she'd done experiments on the toxins secreted from toxicroak claws. "Yes, in a brief comparison study I did a while back. Personally I think it's poison sac is a far more interesting topic of study. Churning poison to make it more potent is something I've been doing for years now thanks to the results." Returning to Pewter City was like a breath of fresh air. Again, nothing had changed from the same scenery but that was what she liked about this place. There was quite a bit to do here so she would need to get to work if she was to Mt. Moon. Just in case the girl didn’t miss anything she went looking for the bulletin board. It was the same bulletin board that informed her of the mystery/stalker guy who would hand out Amber's if you were to hang around the city long enough. Who knew, maybe there were other items that would help her or maybe some information that would assist her.

The teen was going to be here for some time and that meant she would need to keep a lookout for that pink Pokemon. So far, there was still no sign of it but at least Misa knew there was one in this city. ’It's just a matter till I become face-to-face with it.’ Yes, the teen was being rather optimistic about this whole situation. “Pi-Pi!” The sound of an alarming voice beckoned Misa to look up into the sky. It was a Flying-type she had soon far too often. It was another Pidgey who had decided to take it upon itself to welcome the girl in an usual fashion. For one reason or another it seemed that there were Pokemon that liked to greet people with a battle. Well, it wasn’t as if she was against the idea of doing such a thing but it was a matter of who to bring out of their ball. Misa thought about those two while the angry Pidgey awaited for the girl to choose her Pokemon. It was a Lv. 5 Pidgey which meant it wasn’t very big on experience. Ivysaur was already at a point where it could battle just fine at the next Gym. Which meant that it was going to be Pikachu who would be the deciding factor in this battle. Thus, without further ado, the teen sent out her yellow Pokemon who looked timidly around the area. ”It's alright Pikachu, it's just another battle.” When the electric mouse Pokemon learned that it would be another straightforward battle it perked up its ears and faced the opponent.

A flash of yellow shot out from the yellow creature. Hitting the desired target that was its opponent. The small bird Pokemon light up like a wonderful Christmas tree. Its small body was now super fluffed from the extra electricity that was building up in its feathers. The Pidgey knew that it had a fatal error. It bucked itself up and tried its best to fly away. In its place was a dull looking stone. It was different than the other stones Misa had found thus far. It was probably one of the spoils of winning this battle.

Misa walked on over to the spot where an opponent once was. With Pikachu gaining its experience she went to return the small creature back to its ball. Once the task was completed she bent down to pick up the stone. It certainly was no ordinary stone, even the feel of its felt odd to her. The girl would have to study the object a bit before she would know what to do with it. The previous items that she had been able to attain sometimes had uses that were obvious. Like with Pidgeotto’s Sharp Beak item it was clear what the use was for. Butterfree’s Silver Powder was something someone had to tell her or else there was no way she was going to be able to figure it out.

Her knowledge lied with Pokemon and not necessarily the items they carried with them. Well...even that knowledge had its limits and she certainly didn’t know every item out there. But since she was on her adventure there was no reason why she shouldn’t. She should take the opportunity to visit a library in order to research the objects in her position. Once she had done that then maybe she could get a better idea of their uses. And maybe she could tamper with the items to know how they ticked...or should she? To play with something she didn’t quite understand would be dangerous and she wasn’t in a position to put herself in danger.

Well, whatever the stone may be she still had somewhere to go. Her time wouldn’t delay Misa to the billboard that held quite a bit of information. So as the girl went back to her destination she noted that a library would be the next stop. There was still a lot of information to be learned and it wasn’t like she wasn’t heading out of Pewter City soon. Yes, there were certain agendas that needed to be completed so until they were checked off she would just mentally prepare for the adventure. Misa stepped up the billboard where various sheets of paper was stapled. It looked like the man was still giving out Ambers but it wasn’t as if she was looking for any. Though maybe there were other items that could be found just to kill some time. It could just turn out like last time when Misa battled a Wild Pokemon. It seemed like it would take a while before other Pokemon would come to her. Who knew if the Jigglypuff was a timid creature or not. Whether or not it was would be up to its character. And Misa didn’t have any control over what type of Pokemon she ran into. The Wild Pokemon may have had some system when it came to choosing who to fight with.

“Spearow!” Oh, it looked like another Pokemon was making their way to battle Misa. She was reading the billboard when a familiar brown-face Pokemon met her gaze. It already appeared that it had some sort of attitude with her, whatever it may be. Though, it did seem to enjoy blocking the girl’s sight. It flapped its wings on the top of the billboard as if to egg her on to battle. It looked it was going to be that sort of day where Pokemon were going to act all big and mighty. Well, all the Pokemon in this area weren’t going to give Misa’s Pokemon much of a fight but they could help with her training. Here
