Larai sighed deeply. "I won't, I promise you." she said, offering her brother a hug once more before turning to head into the cave. "You don't need to worry so much about me, Kai. Thank you, but I can handle myself."

Kai sighed. There was nothing more he could do. He came two or three times, Daemon just tried to kill him, and Larai still loved him. He lost, but there was still the threat now of Daemon losing it. One last report to make it seemed.
Daemon sighed as he sat back on his bed. He snapped again and almost wound up killing her brother.

Before Larai entered the depths of the caves, she turned around one last time and offered Kai a small, sad smile. "I'll catch you later, Kai. Maybe we can go on a heist together or something?"

"I will; I promise~" Larai replied with a broad grin, venturing into the caverns once more to see how Daemon was doing.

Daemon buried his face in his hands, wings partially wrapped around him in guilt of almost killing Kai.

Larai slunk in, soon catching up with Daemon. She offered him a warm, loving smile as she approached. "Daemon? Is there anything you need?"

"No...No, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do right now....I came this close to killing him, I just need the slightest provocation for me to slip up." Daemon said wallowing in guilt.
Kai sighed as he walked away from the cave. He found it rather difficult to hate on Daemon after he saw the emotional state he was in. Of course, part of the way home he stopped in realization. ".....Was that brat aunt Milly?"

"But you didn't." Larai replied, still speaking so softly and smoothly. She would've hugged him, but didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable since he was already wrapped in his own wings. "Maybe some rest will clear your mind. Would that help, Daemon?"

"Yes, it's me." Milly replied, having silently followed him along - thinking that Daemon and Larai probably needed some alone time to settle down. She had been walking beside Kai the entire time, in fact. "How rude, though, to call me a 'brat'."

"You are way better off not knowing." Milly replied, chuckling with a small grin on her lips.
"Then how about we lay down and cuddle for a bit? Even if you don't fall asleep or think of anything, it'd be a nice way for both of us to calm down wouldn't it?" Larai suggested.

"Can't exactly say no to cuddling now can I?" Daemon said with a faint smile as he opened his wings a little more to welcome Larai into his space.
"Not gonna ask then. You gonna follow me home?"

Larai approached Daemon and offered him a gentle embrace once she was close enough.
"If you don't want me to, I won't. I'm just passing time while Daemon calms down."

"Not helping in the process? It looked like he could use all the help he could get." Kai said.
Once she was in his arms, Daemon wrapped his wings around them in a warm embrace.

"She's doing a better job than I am. Her light aura is helping balance his overwhelming darkness. I'm just a bottle full of dark and possibly crazy." Milly said with a shrug. Hey, at least she knew herself well enough to be able to admit it..
"I love you." Larai murmured, kissing Daemon on the cheek once again almost immediately afterwards.
