Vince felt quite relieved when Rose confirmed the colors of the captured giratina and the safety of her friends. So things had worked out after all. He had been the one to stop Olivia from charging in to the situation, but that didn't mean he hadn't worried about the people involved in it, or didn't care. "I know because we were there.... We were pulled into that place too, it's called the Distortion World, and it is known to be the realm of Giratina. We saw that neon one fighting a group of people but we were too far away to do anything...." He explained. "I haven't really seen one in person aside from yours, but generally they are depicted as mostly black with red and gold colors." Rose suggested that they didn't defeat the giratina, but then again, it made sense, given that it was captured. You didn't have to defeat a pokemon to capture it. Olivia and Vince finished giving their two cents, and Vince chuckled as Olivia playfully insisted that there was no 'maybe' about her good advice.
Armed with knowledge, Fynx thanked them both again for the advice, suggesting to Rose that they get going. "No worries." Vince waved the apology off. They weren't in any hurry after all, but it would be nice to get going. Olivia wished Rose luck when she did eventually deal with the Giratina, and Vince nodded in agreement, waving the trainer and her pokemon off as they left. "Excuse me sir...?" Nurse Joy called to Vince, catching the dragon tamer's attention. "Hm?" He hummed curiously, approaching the desk. "Your charmander is back to full health. I wanted to catch you before you left. Or at least, it was looking like you were getting ready to leave." Vince was handed Huang Chen's pokeball, and his expression involuntarily soured. Right, he still needed to deal with her, but not now. "Right. Thank you." Vince nodded, staring at the pokeball for a moment before putting it away in his backpack rather than his belt. "You're welcome. Are you two headed to the Renaissance Fair too?" Vince blinked. That seemed like an odd question. Did they look medieval? "No, why?" Vince asked confused. Not that he was against going to something like that, but he was curious what gave such an impression. "Oh, sorry! It's just that a lot of trainers traveling through here have been heading to North Lumiose to take the train to a big festival going on over there." She explained. "Really? I hadn't heard of such an event." Vince mused. "You might like it! It's quite popular. I was thinking of heading there myself. Here," She handed him a flyer that advertised the fair, allowing Vince to look it over. It certainly seemed eccentric, but renaissance fairs were culturally intertwined with dragons, so it was certainly something he was interested in going to.
Walking out of the center, Vince turned to Olivia, flier in hand. "Hey, Liv.... Would you mind maybe going for drinks here instead? It's a bit early in the day for drinking anyways, so this might be fun to do in the meantime, then we can wind down later on." He offered as an alternative. "I've seen these fairs before... They look pretty interesting." He mused. He vaguely remembered attending one once as a child, but he knew he had to have been pretty young.
Olivia felt her chest tighten as Rose showed off the Giratina she had managed to catch, its bright colors matching the one she and Vince had seen. So that meant the people they'd seen really were... okay? Olivia stood silent, just barely registering that Vince had begun to answer Rose's question, explaining that they'd witnessed the attack but had been too far away to assist. Relief flooded through her and the pinkette exhaled a breath she hadn't even realized she'd been holding before she began to smile brightly, if she was the emotional type she would've started crying. "I'm... I'm really glad to hear that you and your friends managed to come out safely," she admitted, then grew quiet once more as she tried to compose herself.
Olivia offered another smile, this one directed to Auriel, when he expressed his flattery towards her compliment, he was a precious pokemon. Having received all the information that they could Fynx announced that they ought to make their leave, apologizing in the process. "It's perfectly fine," she assured then gave Auriel a bit of affection in farewell. Honestly, she should've been thanking them for the information they'd inadvertently given her; she could sleep easier knowing that Rose and her friends had actually survived the Giratina encounter. After wishing the other trainer luck in her inevitable encounter with her legendary they waved Rose and her two pokemon off. Olivia drew a soft breath, holding it and then exhaling it slowly, before she turned to Vince, prepared to continue on with their trek to the bar. Before she could do that, however, she was interrupted by Nurse Joy's arrival, who had come to return Huang Chen. By the look that crossed the dragon tamer's face it was easy to see that he wasn't necessarily excited by this, most likely reminded of his gym battle and inability to command his starter.
Olivia stood back, absently wondering just how closely she was related to this particular Nurse Joy--a third or fourth cousin, most likely--when the woman asked them if they were off to attend a Renaissance fair. The very mention was enough to pique her interest and she listened keenly as the nurse explained that it was a rather popular event, many trainers had already headed there, and then handed them a flyer. Olivia shifted closer to Vince, peering down at the paper to read over the events they had available to participate in. It certainly sounded interesting! Exciting even! Though, at a closer glance, she noticed that it was located in Anville, a town in the Unova region. She was stationed in Kalos, but... she would have to check in with the precinct and Sydney, she needed an update anyway.
Olivia followed Vince out of the pokecenter, still rather the idea of going to a Renaissance fair, she didn't think she'd ever been to one before. She smirked at Vince's question, amused that he held the same interest as she did. "Hey, if you follow the idea 'it's always noon somewhere' it's technically never too early," she joked. "No, but that'll work. It's sound like fun." Content with the change of plans she began to head out of the city with her companion, only to stop when she felt Cayenne nudge her ankle then direct her attention to a figure a few feet behind them, a pokemon by the looks of it. Originally believing that she'd only been told about this because her starter wished to battle, she began to give the okay only to stop when she noticed the pokemon, which she now identified as a Torchic, was trying to start... a fire. It spat embers onto a nearby trash can, causing the nearby trash to catch fire before fizzling out. The Torchic, obviously displeased with the lack of intensity, tried once more. It was obvious that it wouldn't be stopping until it had a raging inferno.
"Hey.. Vince," Olivia started slowly, turning back to look at the brunette. "Go on ahead, I'm going to hang back for a few minutes." She began to split off, heading for the Torchic. "I'll text you when I'm in South Lumoise! I shouldn't be too long!"

Rose was surprised to hear that they had both seen the battle. She wasn't upset that they didn't help out. It was pretty scary, after all. Anyways, it seemed it was time for her to get back to what she was doing, Fynx reminding her of that. Rose thanked them both and said goodbye before the Delphox took her by the hand and led her away, letting the two older trainers return to what they were doing. Auriel seemed a bit sad to leave Olive's side, but followed after his trainer with a coo.
"I've got a pretty good idea of where we should head next. I know it might not make much sense to you right now, but I've already picked out varying locations to stop and rest at to get Auriel used to flying." Fynx told her trainer as they walked out of the pokemon center. Rose looked up at the sky and then to Auriel. "Alright then! Ready, Auriel?" Rose asked. The mega altaria bowed his head and hummed before Rose and Fynx climbed on his back. Fynx used her psychic powers to lighten her end of the 'load' before they took to the sky. "Our first stop should be... Opelucid city in Unova." Fynx stated, then shared directions with the golden bird.

Once she had branched off from Vince the pinkette broke out into a light jog, mind already whirring with possible solutions. She needed to take care of the literal firestarter first, the little sparks it'd created were small enough to where she herself could stomp them out; she'd just do that while she had one of her pokemon dispatch the Torchic. Unfortunately for Olivia in the time it'd taken for her to leave Vince's side and begin running towards the Torchic its frustration had grown immensely, and with it its fire. With a heated--pun intended--cry it opened its beak wide to produce a swirling mass of fire that instantly set the trash piled into the trash can ablaze. Well... she wasn't stomping that out.
Being careful not to curse the pinkette slid to a stop, her face instantly becoming warm in front of the small bonfire she now faced. The Torchic, now aware of her presence, turned to face Olivia with a rather blank stare. It took a moment to consider her presence, large head ticking to the left, before it suddenly pushed a small pine box to the side, away from the fire it'd started, and charged the woman, beak open to deliver another attack. Truthfully it'd been quite some time since she'd had to deal with a rampaging pokemon, not counting her brief encounter with Vince's newly caught Tyrunt back in the distortion world, but it was easy to fall back into learned behaviors. "Ginseng," she spoke calmly, waiting for the pokemon to stiffen and make his presence known rather than look down and risk taking her eyes off the pokemon. "Don't get close, but use Stone Edge," she commanded, her brow furrowing gently.
The rabbit twitched his whiskers then puffed out his chest, giving the ground two hearty thumps to create slanted stones to erupt from it, directly in front of the Torchic. Able to anticipate a few of the attacks, however, the bird was able to avoid the majority of the stones though one that managed to form directly underneath it, managed to hit its mark and sent the Torchic to the ground, hard. Olivia turned her attention back to the fire, figuring that Ginseng had the battle under control, then pursed her lips. She didn't have any water types on her, which was something that she needed to fix considering how useful they were, but she did have a solution to putting out the fire.

Without wasting anytime Olivia was quick to release Poppy, the mini caregiver taking her time to glance over the scene before her. She sniffed before recoiling gently, the smell of burning trash far less than pleasant. "Poppy, use Mud Bomb directly on that burning trash," Olivia directed. The pink pokemon only turned her theoretical nose up into the air, but rather than disobey she flicked her arm out at the fire, sending a large, spherical blob of mud onto the trash can. The attack sent the cylinder tumbling onto the ground and trash began to spill out onto the ground, but following the crash was the sound of sizzling as the fire was doused. Afterwards the pinkette couldn't help but to wave her hand over her nose, the smell of burnt and muddy trash was... certainly an interesting one.
A squeak of alarm alerted the officer of something abnormal and Olivia swiveled her head back to the fallen Torchic, who was now slowly rising back to its feet. It gave itself a shake, feathers fluffing out in the process, before it began its charge once more, moving at a faster speed. Not needing to be told again Ginseng slammed his foot down, causing another outcropping of rocks to jut out from the ground, only to miss again and again. The bird had learned from its first round and now zig-zagged towards Olivia and her pokemon, keeping its movements unpredictable and hard to counter against. Frustrated, Ginseng simply began creating a barrier in front of them, at least preventing the pokemon from getting any closer to them. It was too quick, however, and with a burst of speed shot through the last remaining opening just before another large stone slammed skyward, closing in the space.
Not losing any speed the Torchic spat out an ember, but rather than at Ginseng it directed the fiery attack directly at Olivia. Cayenne gave another squeak before, in a desperate attempt to protect her trainer, flopped out in front of her. Although ungraceful it did the trick, the attack harmlessly falling against her flank, only to be absorbed. Cayenne was quick to return to her feet and, revitalized by the fire, sent back a similar attack, the move boosted by both her Charcoal and ability. The Torchic was sent staggering back but, before it could regain its senses, Ginseng quickly stepped in to finish it off with another Stone Edge, this one much smaller so as not to hit his teammate.
The Torchic fell back onto its back, only to begin stirring seconds later; despite its small size it had quite the fight and endurance inside. To prevent another close call Olivia did the only thing she, as both a trainer and an officer, knew what to do and swiped out one of her unused pokeballs to throw at the Torchic. It was absorbed with ease and, after a few violent shakes, was caught.

Olivia stared at the pokeball for several long seconds before she placed a hand to her chest and let loose a long exhale. "That was close, wasn't it?" she inquired, tone surprisingly light. The pinkette gave a soft stretch then dropped down to gentle scratch underneath Cayenne's chin, something she enjoyed immensely. "Thanks for taking that attack for me, Cay. I don't think Vince would've appreciated me holding him back with second-degree burns." Or maybe it would've been third degree? That ember had certainly looked hot enough to do a good amount of damage; either way, she was even more grateful to her starter. "Gin, you did great. Thanks a bunch." Olivia didn't bother trying to give him a chin scratch, knowing full that he'd only recoil from her. On the bright side she was starting to understand that it wasn't against her, but rather the opposite gender; he wouldn't even get close to Cayenne, and now he stared warily at Poppy, body rigid.
With a soft chuckle she turned her attention to the ridge of rocks in front of her, behind them the fallen trash can and the pine box that Torchic had deemed important enough not to burn, even though it looked highly flammable. Olivia walked forward and, after rolling her shoulders, began climbing up and over the rocks to get to the other side. "Gin, can you work on getting these rocks out of the way?" she called out after she'd cleared the rocks, the sound of her boots touching the ground audible. She didn't even know if it was possible for a pokemon to recall its attack, but it was worth a shot. Even if this wasn't a popular street, this still proved an annoying and inconvenient roadblock, she was sure the city's residences wouldn't appreciate this.
Olivia searched the ground as she walked, eventually spotting the box the Torchic had been careful to move. It was probably important to the little devil and, now that she was its, temporary, owner it'd be best to hold onto.. whatever it was. Carefully slipping the box into her bag the pinkette then turned her attention to the fallen trash can, its burnt contents spilling out into the straight. Ah... yeah, she'd probably have to clean that up too; police work at its finest. Without trying to think too hard about it, she began to pick up each individual piece and place it back into the metal cylinder, afterwards picking it up and setting it back up. Careful not to touch anything else Olivia turned sharply back to the way she'd come, delighted to find that Ginseng had actually managed to force the stones back into the ground. After five full minutes of scrubbing, cleaning underneath her fingernails, and endearing nearly scalding water Olivia dubbed her hands clean and exited the pokecenter's bathroom, where her pokemon now waited. She swung by the counter, retrieving the Torchic she'd had Nurse Joy heal, then headed back outside. Now that that had been dealt with, she could work on catching up with Vince! Or at least she could after she contacted Sydney. It wasn't asking permission per se, it was just... okaying her brief departure from Kalos and relocating to Unova-- who knew! Maybe there would be a good reason for her to be there too!
With this optimistic thought now firmly situated in her head she rang up Sydney, relief spreading through when the brunette picked up on the third ring. "What's up?" she chirped, looking down at her screen over her glasses. Olivia absently cracked her neck, stepping off to the side so that she wouldn't be standing directly in front of the pokecenter's doors. "Nothing much, just thought I'd give you an update and ask for one in return," she explained casually before she began retelling the events that'd come to pass ever since she'd arrived in Kalos. "The Distortion World, huh?" Sydney asked once she'd finished, her lips pursed gently. "Yeah, we got reports from the different stations around the regions about that. I'm glad to hear that you and your friend were able to get out of there alright." Olivia only nodded, glad herself. "Uh, you wanted an update from here too? Mmm, there's not much to tell. There haven't been any reports of Team Flare appearing in any cities, I guess they're just keeping a low profile." Well that was.. both good and bad news, good in the sense that they weren't causing trouble, but now it'd be even harder to track the team down.
"Well that's good," Olivia remarked slowly, a voice in her head urging her to bring up the fair. "Vince and I were thinking of heading on over to this Renaissance Fair in Unova, check out the jousting matches, maybe get a cup of mead... watch a knight save a princess...." she could hear herself trail off. "Oh!" Sydney's eyes widened at the news before she broke out into a cheeky grin. "Alright, well.. have fun! Like I said, Team Flare isn't popping up on our radar, so I guess it'd be okay for you to leave for a little bit. Team Plasma is a problem over there in Unova anyway, so you can keep an eye out for them while you're there." Olivia gave a nod, careful not to show the relief she felt now that she knew she could go without causing any trouble, though she paused when she noticed Sydney's grin. "..What's that look for?" The brunette simply chuckled as she pushed her glasses back up the ridge of her nose, "you were trying to get permission from me," she stated, rather matter-of-factly at that. "Well... yeah. This is my job, of course, I just can't up and leave it for a bit of fun," Olivia rationalized, pretending that she hadn't been the slight bit embarrassed at the fact that she was a grown woman asking for permission to go somewhere, as if she were a child. "Yeah, okay. Suuuuure Olivia." Olivia rolled her eyes, though she smiled regardless. "Yeah, alright. We're done here, bye Sydney."
She hung up, cutting her friend's amused goodbye in the process. With that done she began walking back to Santalune's exit, heading out to meet Vince, though she was stopped halfway there by Poppy, who demanded to be picked up and stop being forced to walk on the ground. After some thought Olivia obliged, gently picking the mini caregiver up and placing her into her arms. She'd done well as her impromptu firefighter, and she'd been cooped up in her pokeball long enough, this was the least she could do for her. Olivia adjusted Poppy in her arms before she turned on her XTransceiver, typing out a quick text to Vince to let him know she was on her way.

The flight wasn't hard but it was definitely tiring, but also incredibly pretty. Shenaiya finally found herself in one of the shops, looking at hats and scarves. They were certainly cute but she wasn't a hat person... But then her eyes fell on hair accessories and she pulled down her hair to look at the bow that was starting to look a little ratty. She smiled at it lovingly before looking around at the different things she could technically put her hair back with, but then she would have to fix it more often than she usually did with just her bow. She picked up a couple of different pins and knick knacks, but ultimately decided on a very nice shimmery ribbon to replace her old bow. She also found a nice one that would compliment Rose's red hair. She grabbed that one as well and headed out after paying for the two. Putting her hair up in her new ribbon, Naiya finally wondered where Kenichi had gone as she looked around. Xena was eyeing the Misdreavus suspiciously, and the Misdreavus was silently whistling. Rolling her eyes Naiya continued to walk, wondering where he 'knight' was. When a pokemon with a cape came out of nowhere. Kenichi chuckled as he made himself up to be a much larger scale. Naiya smiled, but she was incredibly surprised. But on his chest was a weird stone. "Kenichi? What's that and where did you get it?" She asked curiously, touching the stone.

Naiya stretched, now that they had figured out something about the stone, and not really anything for the fair. She would probably just head there next. Or just let Cynthia lead again. She never knew with her Swan style pokemon. Sometimes they shared a wave length. But then she wasn't sure. Like right now. They were suddenly back at Santalune. Chuckling, Naiya pet the ball her pokemon was in. Xena and Kenichi Glaring at the Misdreavus. Who just floated along. Glad to just be somewhere new. And following this musician was fun! Especially taunting the two 'guardians'. Naiya's holocaster went off, and she opened the text, noticing it was from her best red headed friend. She was traveling the regions! That sounded so much fun! And that snow place, sounded like a ton of fun. So much snow, and just enough for a snowball fight! They would surely have to go and play in the snow! Maybe they would go there next? Oh so many options!

Maybe she should pick a fight with one of those idiots near the gym. She chuckled at a thought, but not a moment into her thoughts she ran into someone. "Hey B***h, watch where your going. You almost made me fall." He said as he shoved her further off balance. She fell and her board went rolling. Picking up her board, the guy sneered at her. "I'll just keep this since you need someone to teach you a lesson." Christin shot up, her hind end hurting. No one could take her board. "Phalanx, we don't take bullies very well right?" She asked. Phalanx narrowed his eyes at the man and jumped down, trying to tell him off. "Oh? A puny b***h like you is a trainer, eh? Fine. I'll cream your lousy pokemon too." He said. Letting out a Misdreavus.

Christin fed her pokemon before deciding to head to the gym. It wasn't gonna take too long... She assumed anyway. She expected to be finished with this gym before the afternoon had decided to go into evening. So approximately two hours? Should be done long before then. She looked at Phalanx, who had found his way back onto Christin's shoulder. Putting her board on the ground, Christin rode to the bug gym. Pretty sure she had heard that this gym leader liked pictures. Alright so was that the flashing she heard? Or was she just imagining it? Finding her way into the gym, Christin followed the web like pathways. "Hello!! My name is Christin and I am here to challenge the leader of this gym!" She called, looking around. She kind of liked these pictures. They were well taken.
