If his body language wasn't a sign that Vince was aggravated, his attitude and verbal responses certainly were; he wanted to be left alone, but Olivia wouldn't allow that. She was wise enough to put an end to her oblivious nature, however, and got to the point, managing to coax Vince into talking by having him correct her on a few mistakes. His opinion on what established fair ruling for a gym badge currently got him riled up, and it certainly didn't help when Olivia gave an answer even she knew wasn't satisfactory. It was certainly a topic he was passionate about and she listened, expression neutral, as Vince raged on about the rules and traditions that had remained stagnant in the league, despite the change that was going on around it. "It's fine," she assured softly, not at all offended or dissuaded by his anger. "I'm more than happy to lend an ear." She knew how helpful venting your frustrations could be, especially to someone who'd be willing to just listen, but at the very least Vince finally conceded, promising to head back to the gym to apologize and ask for his badge.
Thankfully Vince wouldn't have to go all the way back to the gym to retrieve his winnings, though the apology was up for debate, as Olivia revealed that she was in possession of both his badge and TM, having kept a hold of them ever since Viola had given them to her. She chuckled when Vince awkwardly took his prizes and thanked her, then mentioned that he'd apologize later, though he sounded a bit unsure of it now. She'd leave it to him, but if he didn't do it by the time they left she'd make sure to give Vince a... nudge in the apologetic direction. Olivia was rather relieved to see Vince smile, though from what she wasn't sure, almost enough to regret flicking his forehead-- almost. She felt he deserved it though, and it wasn't as if she'd done it as hard as she could, for leaving her. To prevent such a thing from happening again, forehead flicking included, the two traded numbers.
It was rather surprising that they were only now getting around to trading numbers, especially considering how long they'd been together, something Vince equated to their time in the Distortion World. Time there had moved differently than in the real world, the few hours they'd spent in there could have been days in the real world, but since time hadn't moved here they'd never know for sure. Speaking of times and dates, today was a rather important day, as Vince would absently reveal. It was his birthday, his twenty-first to be exact. "Huh, I thought you'd be older than me," she mused before she hopped up from off the bed, surprising her pokemon. "We absolutely have to celebrate. Why don't we go drinking, on me! We'll find a bar, buy you the most expensive drink, maybe sing you a birthday tune. It'll be great!" Birthdays were important dates, at least in her book, and needed to be celebrated, especially when you were out road and away from family. "C'mon! It'll be fun~" she sang.

Vince had been rambling on a lot more than he'd expected at the start of this conversation; a conversation that he hadn't wanted to have in the first place, but one that was forced on him nonetheless. It was probably for the best, Vince needed to keep reminding himself that Olivia was only trying to help, but he was frustrated and wanted to be left alone, so he couldn't help being a little snappy at her. Honestly, he was amazed she'd stuck with him this long. He wasn't exactly a social butterfree. Still, he apologized for his short angry rant, not meaning to seem so ornery, at her or just in general, but Olivia dismissed it, insisting that it was fine and she was happy to listen. That was somewhat relieving to Vince, but also concerning. He was happy not to have scared her away with his generally bristly attitude, but upset that he didn't have more control over his own temper. There was a lot of things contributing to his feelings; frustrations, family, tensions with the clans, the stress put on his own success.... The last one was more or less Vince putting pressure on himself, but that didn't make it any less stressful.
In the end, Vince came around, deciding to accept Viola's badge, and apologize for his outburst. It seemed Viola had preemptively given Olivia his items though, in the event that he did come around eventually. Vince wasn't sure how to feel about that, but he accepted his badge and TM from Olivia anyways, packing them away in his satchel. Now there was the issue of apologizing. He felt awkward about the mere idea of going back there without any other reason, though he supposed since he already had his stuff it would seem more sincere, rather than trying to sweet talk Viola into giving him his rewards. He would cross that bridge when he came to it though, Vince decided, since he was reminded with a forehead flick that he'd left Olivia in the gym alone without telling her where he was going or exchanging contact information, the latter of which they soon remedied. Still, Vince did admittedly feel bad for storming off like that, but given his mood at the time, Olivia probably wouldn't have wanted him sticking around anyways. As Vince made to add her number to his device however, he noticed that it was his birthday, mumbling about it under his breath, and not realizing the reaction Olivia would have to it. Thee questions came flooding in as she brought attention to it, more than Vince really felt comfortable with. Here he was hoping that being away from his family would make this birthday less of a big deal.
When asked his age, Vince answered, and Olivia seemed surprised, suggesting she thought he'd be older than her. "How old are you?" Vince asked, since her comment begged the question. He thought he was older than she was too, but maybe that was just her childish personality. He supposed the same could be said of why she mistook him to be older though. Nevertheless, after musing, she hopped off of the bed, brimming full of fun birthday ideas and activities, like buying him an expensive drink, and singing a birthday tune. "Uh... I'm flattered, really, but I think I'd rather not....." He grimaced. He'd had alcohol before, some sake at family gatherings. He didn't like getting drunk, or even tipsy. He felt out of sorts and out of control, something he saw as dangerous. She insisted it would be fun, but Vince continued to hesitate. "...Why do you care?" He asked seriously out of the blue, looking at Olivia reproachfully. "We've only known each other for maybe a day or so..." Vince ran a hand through his hair. "I mean... Why are you...." He felt like he was grasping at straws. It's not like he didn't understand general friendliness to other people. Common courtesy was a big thing for him too, but this seemed to be taking it a step farther. Then again, Vince supposed he had done it too, what with making dinner for Olivia in the Distortion World, but that had been in a survival situation. Tensions had been high, he was desperate to get Olivia's mind off of the giratina... Under normal circumstances, would he have done something similar? Well, under normal circumstances they wouldn't have witnessed anything so.... Vince shook his head, standing up. "Never mind. Drinks sound great, thank you." He nodded, figuring what the hell. It was his birthday, she was doing something nice. It would be rude to deny her gift. One night free of responsibility might be nice.
Through sheer stubbornness perseverance Olivia was finally able to get Vince to open up and add to the conversation; though it fell back to a one-sided conversation when the male's frustrations got the best of him and he fell to venting. Though she tried to offer a tidbit of advice she eventually fell to simply listening to Vince, not minding. She said as much when he apologized for unloading his anger onto her, though he explained that the emotion wasn't directed to her; it was just simple displacement. Olivia knew how therapeutic lamenting could be, which was why she shouldn't object to it, not to mention... it was only fair; she'd done the same thing back in the Distortion World.

Though Olivia revealed that she had his items, she still hoped that he'd go and apologize to the blonde. It wasn't his abrupt departure that she was mildly upset with, however, rather the fact that he'd left with no way of getting into contact with him; if it happened again, there was no guarantee that she'd find Vince as easily as she had this time around. After delivering a rather cheesy pick-up line the two traded numbers, guaranteeing that, at the very least, they could contact each other if they were separated. Olivia had just finished inputting Vince's number when the latter muttered something about his birthday, something that she instantly caught onto.
Rather excited to learn of her companion's birthday, Olivia also found herself surprised when Vince revealed that he was actually younger than her, from the way he held himself she'd just figured he was either her age or a year or two older. "Twenty-five," she reported, then corner of her mouth twitching at the thought that she was four years older than him. "Guess that means you'll have to start listening to me, being your elder and all," she joked. Olivia hopped up, offering ideas of how they could celebrate, one being going out to drink, it seemed appropriate considering that he was now of the legal age to drink. Still grinning she listening as Vince slowly began to decline her offer, though the bright expression dimmed a bit when he questioned her, not because of disappointment or wounded feelings but, rather, shock; it wasn't often someone questioned why another person would want to celebrate their person, and she herself hadn't even considered 'why' she cared.
Olivia shrugged softly, "I just figured you should have someone to celebrate with," she explained. "Twenty-one is a pretty big milestone, and you're out on the road, away from your friends and family. Besides, I consider us friends, so why not?" She stretched her arms up, leaving them both to consider her words. Personally she thought it was a good way to end their day-- even if it was, technically, only early afternoon. But, if Vince truly didn't want to go out, she wouldn't push it. The young woman blinked when Vince changed his mind, even thanking her. Olivia mustered another smile, this one smaller than before, before she nodded and headed for the door. "C'mon you two," she addressed Cayenne and Ginseng, who'd settled into a conversation, albeit a distant one. To Vince, she gestured animatedly in his direction as she opened the door and stepped outside, "I think a saw a bar on my way over here, so we can head there."

Vince raised a skeptical eyebrow as Olivia insisted that she was twenty five, especially since she was so smug about it, suggesting that Vince needed to start listening to her since she was his elder. "Yeah. I'll start listening to you when you actually act your age, or have good advice." Vince suggested with a snort, pushing her away playfully. Jeez she was just like Jian, age, attitude, and all. Like four years was really that big of a maturity difference. Unsurprisingly, Olivia didn't seem to take much offense immediately hopping into party mode and suggesting all the things they could do to celebrate his birthday. While he appreciated her enthusiasm, Vince felt uncomfortable accepting such a gift from someone who was, essentially a stranger. Plus he wasn't all that fond of the idea of drinking. He enjoyed the flavor of some drinks, but disliked the feeling of being drunk, as it inhibited his self control and concentration. In essence, it meant he would be vulnerable, in more ways than one; something that contradicted all of his training. Not only that, but he didn't understand why Olivia was being so generous. Was she that desperate for a friend? Or just to get to know him better?
He had to know, though the moment the question passed his lips, he regretted it. Olivia looked quite taken aback. He hadn't meant to potentially offend her, but he was struggling to understand. He'd asked the question in earnest, but seeing her expression made him backpedal a bit, explaining lamely why he would ask such a thing but ultimately failing. Nevertheless, Olivia answered, explaining that she figured he should have someone to celebrate with, since twenty one was a big milestone in a persons life, but he was away from family and friends. Plus, she already considered them friends, which made Vince feel even worse about his questioning. "I.... See." He murmured slowly, his gaze remaining cast downward for a moment. All his life, he'd always needed to work for the things he got. Train hard, and your work was rewarded. Birthdays were a reflection of the past years achievements and a celebration of the things to come, but frankly Vince felt like he'd done very little worth celebrating this past year. Olivia didn't care about any of that though, she just wanted to celebrate because she was all he had as far as friends went, and yet he hadn't really regarded her as a friend. Not that he wasn't open to the idea, but she didn't know him, he didn't know her. They were strangers to each other, and yet she already thought of them as friends. His careful nature was struggling against such open trust and kindness, it was... Kind of terrifying.
Glancing up at Olivia again, Vince finally agreed to go out for drinks, thanking her for the gift. He wanted to say more, make her understand that he felt bad for questioning her sincerity, explain that he just wasn't used to such things, particularly not from strangers-- Vince winced. There he was, using that word again. Stranger. He wished he could think of her otherwise. He wanted to, but he couldn't. Just because she was a stranger though didn't mean he wouldn't treat her in a friendly way; he had done so up until now after all, but... He almost wished she didn't so easily think of him as a friend, then maybe the guilt he felt wouldn't be so overbearing. The damage was already done though, it was clear that she was less excited about the outing than before. He wished he could take it back, but instead he stood and made his way out of the room along with Olivia, nodding as she mentioned seeing a bar on the way over to the center. "Alright, lead the way then, oh wise elder." He joked, attempting to strike up their playful banter to lift her spirits a little.
As they made their way into the lobby however, Vince couldn't help but notice a familiar redhead eating at a table and seeming quite focused on a few maps sprawled about on the table. Though, admittedly the first thing that had caught his eye was that gaudy mega altaria by her side and the peculiarly colored delphox that he recalled from the last time he'd seen Rose. "Hey... I know her." Vince murmured absently, nodding towards the redhead. It kind of figured that she'd have an altaria. Those puffy cottonballs seemed pretty popular with girls. Vince wasn't a fan, perfectly happy with Xiu Feng as his fairy dragon of choice, and a noibat or salamence as a flying dragon. He had to admit that they were strong if used correctly though.
Embold liked to lead the way and Gio didn't see a problem with that. After all it was one of his strongest Pokemon and if anything happened between Lucario and it he felt pretty safe. Of course that was the wrong safe he needed to feel. For if he was paying attention he would have noticed the Torchic that had busted out of its ball in his bag.
The Torchic located the wooden box with the fire emblem on it and immediately caught interest in it. It gave a yelp as it grabbed the box in its beak before attempting to locate an exit in its now very small area. Soon enough it hopped out and because of the box in its beak hit the ground with a decent sized thud. "Huh?" Gio mumbled now fully aware that something had fallen behind him. "Hey you, you need to get back in your ball and give that back!" just as he said that it began to glow a dark sinister red and black Aura letting Gio knew it had entered Hyper Mode.
It had been a long time since Gio Delt with a Pokemon that had entered Hyper Mode. He knew they were very dangerous and normally had a higher chance to land strong attacks on Pokemon it should never be able to keep up with. On top of it being a Fire Type Gio gritted his teeth. Unfortunately he wouldn't even try to battle it. To risky for him, and the item. Well he would have to let it keep the item as well. He hated just having to leave a Shadow Pokemon here in the middle of Santalune but maybe another Trainer would be able to capture it after it exited Hyper Mode. They wouldn't be able to purify its heart, unless they were a member of Team Snagem, but perhaps they could open it a little. Yeah that's what he would have to hope for. A normal regular Trainer and not a member of Team Snagem. "Come on Lucario, you as well Embold. I hate to say it but we would lose that battle. Lucario you should know how strong it is in that mode. Being a Fire type it would burn us. So we should keep our cool. Let it go" the cold never bothered Steel anyway.

Rather amused to find out that she was the older of the two Olivia kept upon her visage a playfully cavalier expression, that is until Vince informed her that he would only listen to her when she either acted her age or had good advice, the latter of which she took mock offense to. She parried his push with a nudge before she broke out into a grin. "I'll have you know that I give excellent advice-- five star quality advice in fact." Unwilling to give him a chance to quip back with a smart remark she instantly launched into a party planning frenzy, rather adamant on giving Vince ideas on how to celebrate his twenty-first birthday. Drinking was the obvious choice, and she'd even sing him a little song-- granted, she wasn't the world's greatest singer, but at the very least she could carry a tune.
Unfortunately Vince didn't share her enthusiasm and even questioned her about why she wanted to celebrate. It was understandable, given the brevity of their relationship, and it was a question she'd failed to ask herself. It just seemed the appropriate thing to do, which she tried to explain and ended it with by revealing that she thought of the two of them as friends. Vince's response was.. certainly not what she'd expected and afterwards Olivia found herself fiddling with the very ends of her bangs. "I mean, we don't have to go out if you don't want to, Vince," she assured him, fingers still in her hair. "We can do whatever you want, it is your birthday after all." It only occurred to her afterwards that, perhaps, Vince wasn't necessarily in the mood to do anything, or might even want to be alone. They had spent a good majority of the day together, maybe he needed some time to wind down and destress, something he could do efficiently without her around. If that was the case then she'd happily give him his space, after all, they did have each other's number now, so getting in touch with each other was only a phone call away.
Olivia dropped her hand back down to her side, leaving her bangs a bit frazzled and out of place, then looked over at Vince who'd turned his gaze away from the floor and was now looking at her. Taking her up on her offer he agreed and even thanked her, something that got a smile out of the pinkette, though now she was unsure if he'd agreed to go out for his sake or her own. Not wanting to put much thought into it, however, Olivia made for the door, calling her pokemon along with her. The Delphox she was familiar with, it was the final form of one of Kalos' starters after all, though she'd never seen one with that particular color scheme. The Altaria she was less than familiar with, though she took note of its golden color and abundance in fluff. "Really?" she slowed to a stop before she gestured towards the girl. "Do you wanna say hi? I can wait here." Perhaps this was a friend of Vince, if so then they could invite her to go drinking with them-- though, from appearance alone, she looked rather young, so... maybe no alcohol for her.

After a while of studying the maps, at least Fynx was confident in knowing where to go. Which was good, since then she could easily relay directions to Auriel during flight. The Delphox had set down the ultra ball, mindlessly rolling it a bit on the surface while studying the map. Rose didn't have as much focus, and after a while, she looked up from the maps to look around the pokemon center. It's been quite some time since she was last here, asking around for advice on how to battle the gym leader in town.
The red head blinked as her eyes came across someone that seemed vaguely familiar. After another look, she recognized him and got an idea. Without warning, Rose scooped up the ultra ball and got up, approaching the man, who was accompanied by a pink haired girl. "Dragon Whisperer!" Rose exclaimed, coming to a stop right before him. She was really happy to come across him again. If anyone could help her, he could, right? He helped Isis with the mean deino, so maybe he'll help her with the mean Giratina! "I'm so happy to see you again! Could you take this Giratina for me pleaaaaaaaaaaase?" the red head said, holding the ultra ball out towards the dark skinned male.
Fynx intercepted the ball, however, having followed Rose after gathering the maps back into a neat, folded pile. "No, Rose." Fynx stated, holding the ultra ball. She was surprised the girl had even touched it, with how fearful she had been of it. Auriel strut his way on over, too, peaking his golden head over Rose's shoulder. Rose pouted as Fynx destroyed her plans to get rid of the monstrous giratina. "I'm sorry, sir. Though, perhaps could you give Rose some advice on handling ... unruly dragons, please?" Fynx turned her attention to Vince, tilting her head slightly with an apologetic expression in her eyes. "... I-i don't want it tho..." Rose mumbled.
Auriel took an interest in the pink haired girl, sidling up to her quite quickly. He hummed as he drew close to her. After a moment, he gently leaned over and preened a lock of her hair. Which earned a giggle from Rose. "Auriel really likes you~ heh... he's usually more of a gentlemen, sorry if he's bothering you." Rose commented.

Gio felt bad having to leave the Torchic behind but there was no point in letting it hinder him. If he had tried to ask for help people would have most likely shunned him or worse, call the police. That would be the hard one to explain, why he had a Snag Machine if he wasnt a member of Team Snagem. So difficult of a decision but it was easily decided. Santalune would have to deal with the Bird Pokemon now.
He was trying to focus on other things, like when he finally made it to Cyllage, but even that was starting fall on the back of his mind. He wanted to hurry up and purify these Pokemon and find Trainers suitable enough to raise them. Maybe he could make a few calls? Perhaps Aiden and Fey would want one of them? The only issue with that is it had been so long since the last time he had seen them he wondered if they were even alive. Same went with October, one minute she was following him everywhere and then the next he had lost her before they reached Goldenrod. Gio shook his head. Those were the types of negative thoughts he needed to avoid, he was sure they were all ok. After all he had been traveking with Aiden and Fey since well before any of them had their first Badge. As for October, there would be no way she would give up on her journey. She had wanted nothing more than to prove her brother wrong. Plus Kiru was getting so much stronger, far stronger than when they first battled.

Vince smirked and chuckled as Olivia insisted she gave five star quality advice, feigning offense. He wanted to comment and suggest otherwise, but honestly he hadn't spent enough time with her to have any evidence against that claim. Even if he did, Olivia didn't give him the chance to say anything else on the subject as she launched into a sort of party planning mode, suggesting all the things they could do to celebrate his birthday. Namely, going out for drinks, since he was now legal. It was a hard gift to swallow, for many reasons that Olivia wouldn't have known or understood, and when Vince tried to decline and question why she was doing all of this, Vince knew he'd messed up. He didn't really know how to fix it though, or make it easier for her to understand without making things worse than they already were.
A moment of awkward silence fell over the two as Vince processed the situation and Olivia seemed discouraged, messing with her bangs again as she insisted that if he didn't want to go out, he didn't have to, since it was his birthday. "No, that's not it. I'm just..." Vince's brows knitted in frustration. Why were words so damn hard...?! With a sigh, he relaxed, and tried again to explain. "I have difficulty accepting such kindnesses from people whom I don't know well.... Frankly I have difficulty accepting gifts from even my family, so from someone like you, it is infinitely more difficult to understand and accept when I feel like I've done nothing to deserve it." He insisted. "This past year has been.... Trying, to say the least. I suppose I don't feel very celebratory because I feel like I have not accomplished much, and I am sorry to have made your gift or friendship feel unwanted... That was not my intent." He sighed, and with that out of the way, he finally agreed to go out for drinks with Olivia, thanking her properly for the kind offer. She seemed to take it well, but it was clear she was no longer as excited about it as she had been before. Vince felt bad about that, especially since... Well if the mess that Olivia had made of her bangs was any indication, he'd caused her a lot of distress. Vince chuckled lowly, moving to straighten them out again with an amused expression. "Come on, don't worry about it. Let's go have some fun." Vince insisted.
Soon the two left the room, Vince joking that he would defer to her leadership on this expedition to lighten her spirits some more. Olivia quipped back, asking if he would listen to her now and agree that she gave spectacular advice. "I'm willing to listen to your directions as to where the bar is, yes. As far as the advice goes, I can't say. I'm not exactly a good judge of that." He chuckled. Walking into the lobby though, he spotted a familiar redhead and pointed her out to Olivia, who offered to wait so he could go say hi if he wanted. "Oh, uh... No that's fine, I was just commenting that--" It was too late by then though, since Rose soon noticed Vince and all too eagerly approached him with an ultra ball, asking to take a Giratina. Vince gawked at the girl as the scene unfolded, Rose's delphox quickly reprimanded her for trying to give the legend away, but still asking Vince for advice on unruly dragons, in spite of her trainer complaining that she didn't want the legend. It was taking Vince a lot of processing power, processing power that he didn't have mind you, to even begin to comprehend the situation he was now involved in. "Wait.... So, you're telling me there's a giratina in that pokeball....?" Vince asked incredulously, trying to keep his voice low. This girl had a giratina, she had caught a giratina, and she didn't want to keep it? There were so many questions, Vince couldn't even fathom how Rose even got herself in this. Perhaps Vince had underestimated her abilities as a trainer. She did seem pretty childish, but if she was able to capture a giratina... Well, color him surprised.
After taking a moment to get over his stupor, Vince settled down into thought on what advice he could possibly give her. "From what I know, dragons respond well to displays of power. If you best them, they will usually submit. They are only generally unruly if they feel you aren't worthy to control them. Dragons are a very proud species after all, but legendaries are a class of their own, I can't assume that a legendary dragon would be tamed the same as any other dragon. Giratina also is also notably weaker in our world than the distortion world, because unless it carries an artifact known as the Griseous Orb, it's form is altered." Vince suggested. "That's about all I know..." Vince frowned, still quite puzzled.

Now here was the whole reason he was here a lab that had an old man in it whom had made a purification machine for study purposes. It was often used by Trainers whom had defected from Team Snagem and had stolen their Snag Machine. Giovanni on the other hand hadn't stolen his but still was forced to use it. "Hey Old Man, I need your help purifying some Pokemon" a very bushy browed old man came around a corner and steered at Gio, or so he assumed since he couldn't really tell cause of his eyebrows. "You best watch your tone young boy you want my help you better have quite few Shadow Pokemon of the same typing for me to study or else you can turn tail"
Gio pulled out the nine remaining Pokeballs, and presented them with a slight laugh "Nine Shadow Pokemon right here, all Fire Types at that as well" the old man leaped forward and snatched the balls from Gio's hands inspecting each one carefully. "Wait right here mkay?" the old man disappeared for what felt like minutes and minutes turned to hours till finally he showed himself again. "Here you go son, just for you. They have all been fixed up, not a drop of darkness remains in their hearts. Make sure you take care of them, they deserve it" Gio smiled and thanked the old man. Before exiting and heading back the other way

Lumiose was in sight and that ment that Gio was almost to his final location, Santalune. The Gym Leader there had better be tough with as much time as he was spending trying to get there. At best it would be at least half a day before he reached there but there was a lot more than just a Gym Leader there.

Pleased that he didn't disagree, or rather he wasn't allowed the chance to give his input, Olivia went straight into her number one priority, which was to give Vince ideas for his birthday. He didn't jump at the chance, however, and at his inquiry the pinkette was left... a tad deflated. She certainly wouldn't have felt offended if he declined, but it was rather curious, to her at least, for him to question it--most people didn't look a gift Ponyta in the mouth, especially when it involved actually being treated out. Out of habit Olivia began to play with her bangs, and continued to do so as she told Vince that her offer wasn't just to the bar exclusively, she was game for anything he was up to. She looked at him curiously when he began to try and explain himself, her head falling to the side softly. "Well, I'm glad to hear it isn't personal," she remarked, tone light.
Olivia offered a smile before she let her hand down, conversations were more effective when there wasn't a hand in your face. "If it helps, you could try and think of this as... a pre-celebration of all the success you'll achieve this year," she suggested. It was... something of a relief to hear Vince's explanation, not to mention it helped her to understand his mindset... just a bit more. Though he eventually agreed Olivia became distracted with the idea that he was doing this more for her than him, so much so that she didn't realize Vince was moving towards her until she felt a hand in her hair. She looked up, taking a moment to realize what it was he was trying to accomplish, then broke out into a grin. "What, you didn't like my new hairstyle?" she teased, moving out of the room and into the hall at his insistence.

Amused, Olivia asked if he had accepted that she gave great advice--because she still had yet to 'act her age'--to which he responded that he'd rely on her for directions, to the bar at least, but he apparently wasn't a good judge for her advice. "Well just believe me when I say I give great advice," she suggested, coming up with a 'grade A' solution. They entered the lobby, but before they left Vince spotted a friend--or well, maybe an acquaintance--to which she suggested he greet her. He wasn't even given the chance to fully decline before the young woman noticed him and approached, taking them both by surprise when she asked if Vince would take her Giritina. Olivia stared at the redhead, unsure if she'd heard correctly, then watched in surprise as her Delphox quickly followed, scolding her for trying to get rid of the legendary. That was... huh. She wasn't even sure she had a comment for that-- though the mention of a Giratina brought up ill memories of their trip to the distortion world. In the end all that was requested from Vince was advice on how to train dragons, as he was the 'dragon whisperer'. Olivia watched on, silent, the mixture of emotions going on within her keeping her from commenting.
Vince began to dole out advice, though Olivia was only able to half-heartedly listen as her attention became diverted by Rose's shiny Altaria. She laughed when he took a lock of her hair, rather amused by his interest in her. She looked over to his trainer when she apologized for his behavior. "Oh, it's fine," she assured, two hands gently lifting up to card her fingers through his cotton. "It's nice to meet you, Auriel. I'm Olive." She was still petting him when Vince finished telling all he could about training dragons, granted it was a bit different considering that it was a legendary dragon. "You know, I'm not as well-versed as Mr. Dragon Whisperer," she started, then chuckled at his title. "But, it might also help if you showed that you actually wanted to keep Giritina," she advised then turned back to Auriel. "I doubt a pokemon would be willing to listen to you if they knew you didn't even like or want them."

"Yeah, There really is a Giratina in that! It attacked me and my friends in that weird place..." Rose blurted out with a pout. Fynx patted her head lightly. "And she threw an ultra ball at it and it was captured. Now she must take responsibility for that." the delphox added.
Vince was able to give some advice, and Fynx listened intently, in case Rose didn't catch it all. Auriel hummed melodically as Olive introduced herself and petted him. The mega altaria was enjoying the attention he was receiving quite a lot. Rose shuffled her feet a bit. Really, it wasn't so much that Giratina was a dragon type, but more that it's secondary typing was ghost, which was what really bothered her. Not to mention how violent it had been in the distortion world. "I haven't actually tried to do anything with it since i caught it..." the red head commented quietly, after having also gotten advice from the nice pink haired lady.
"Thank you both. Would you happen to know where we could go to learn more about Giratina?" Fynx thanked the older trainers, then questioned Vince once more. She had a feeling that Rose might have interrupted something, so she just wanted to get out of their way as soon as possible. "My name is Rose, by the way. And this is Fynx, my starter." Rose spoke up, giving her name since she had learned Olive's.

Vince nodded lightly when Olivia expressed relief at the fact that his issues with her gift weren't with her personally. She offered a different perspective, suggesting that this birthday was more of a pre-celebration for the success he would achieve this year. Vince chuckled at that. He didn't see much sense in such a celebration, after all, he didn't know if anything would come of the coming year, but he would humor her. "Yes, I suppose I could think of it like that....." He murmured, sighing and standing as he insisted that drinks would be fine, thanking her and fixing her bangs, since she had messed them from anxiousness. She seemed surprised for a moment, then grinned, asking if he didn't like her new hairstyle. Vince just laughed, since her question was rhetorical anyways, it was probably best he didn't comment.
They started heading out the door, into the center's lobby, joking about their age difference again. Vince still didn't think he was a good judge of Olivia's advice, and when she continued to insist that she gave good advice, Vince chuckled and shook his head. "Forgive me, but I don't believe anything until I see proof." He insisted, soon after spotting Rose and pointing her out, only to have the redhead soon run up to him and try to push a giratina of all pokemon onto him. He gave the best advice he could on the legendary when asked, but... He still couldn't believe this was actually happening. When Rose insisted that the giratina in the ultra ball has attacked her and her friends in, what Vince could only assume was the distortion world, he blinked, recalling a few vivid memories of the not so distant past. "...Don't tell me, was it neon colored, like pink, yellow, and bright blue....?" He asked curiously. He had to know. Maybe if this was the same group they had witnessed, Olivia would feel better about that moment. Perhaps their help wasn't needed after all. "More importantly, are all your friends alright? If you all took down that beast, you must be pretty strong." Vince smiled.
Olivia threw in her two cents, though Vince noted her use of his nickname and simpered, getting the feeling that she wasn't going to let that go any time soon. Still, her suggestion wasn't bad certainly. "She's right." Vince nodded. "Dragons respect power, but if you neglect them, there will certainly be problems." Vince glanced to Olivia with a smirk. "What do you know, maybe you do give good advice after all?" Vince teased the pinkette, though Rose admitted that she hadn't tried to do anything with it since she'd caught it. "Mm. Fine a secluded area, have your pokemon ready to battle it just in case, but try to talk things out. Set boundaries, but show that you care." Vince encouraged. Fynx thanked them for their advice, and Vince nodded, then thought about her question. "Sinnoh has a lot of information and lore about Giratina, Palkia, and Dialga. A lot of the area sees the triad as their gods of creation. You're bound to find something there. As for specific area to search, I'm not sure. I'm not really familiar with the region, but I'm sure a local could give you advice." He offered.
Feeling better about not just herself, but their friendship, Olivia offered a genuine smile before she tried to coax Vince into perceiving his birthday celebration in a new light, in the hopes that this would make him more willing to actually celebrate his birthday and perhaps even enjoy himself. Much to her surprise he agreed to do just that, leaving Olivia in a jovial, albeit distracted, mood. With Vince now on his feet he easily rearranged her bangs back into place, something that caught her off-guard but not for too long. She recovered quickly enough to look up at Vince and question had he not liked her previous haphazard look, and thus the change, which earned a laugh from him and, in turn, made her smile just a tad brighter.
With a sense of normalcy having returned, the two talked about the quality of her advise, of all things, as they moved for the lobby. Olivia was insistent on the fact that she gave great advise while Vince was... skeptical, explaining that he needed concrete evidence, which made sense considering... up until this point she'd yet to give him, or anyone they'd met, advice. "I guess that's fair," she admitted before stretching idly. "I'll just have to give you proof, one of these days." She wasn't sure when she'd give him advice, or even on what subject, but she'd think on that later. For now she concentrated on Rose, a girl Vince had pointed out as knowing and, only seconds later, had her come up to them--or well, more of Vince than herself--and request him to take... a Giratina. The legendary was a dual ghost and dragon type, so it made sense to ask Vince about it, given his expertise on the latter. Olivia quirked an eyebrow when Rose mentioned that, prior to its capture, the pokemon had attacked her and her friends in a 'weird place'. It wasn't possible that... Whatever thought she had Vince apparently shared it, questioning the redhead about her newest pokemon's color scheme and then if they were okay. The pinkette pressed her lips together tightly then looked to Rose, desperate for her answer. If this really was the same group of people that they'd witnessed, and they'd all managed to survive, it would ease the guilt she knew was still there, submerged deep within her; after all, she had just, in her mind, abandoned them.
Deciding to keep optimistic, at least until Rose either confirmed or denied, Olivia turned her attention back to Auriel, who seemed to enjoy the affection he was receiving; she enjoyed giving it to him, he was a cute bird. Olivia rolled her eyes playfully at Vince, though couldn't hide the smile that began to form at his words. "There's no 'maybe' about it, I give good advice." She nodded quietly at Rose, able to understand just why she'd yet to 'make the acquaintance' of her Giratina, that display of violence it'd shown in the distortion world would've deterred her as well. "Well, I wish you the best of luck whenever you do let it out," she murmured softly, though her head inclined towards Vince when he suggested a few instructions for their first meeting, then went into just where Rose could look up more information on the legendary. Olivia wasn't up-to-date on her Sinnoh knowledge so she remained silent, though she perked up when Rose introduced herself and her starter. "It's nice to meet you both," she remarked with a smile. "You have two beautiful pokemon, Rose," she added on, having noted earlier that Fynx was of a different color variation, just like Auriel."

Rose blinked, tilting her head slightly in surprise. "Yes, actually! How did you know?" she replied in response to the description Vince had given. Just in case, she pulled out her pokedex, finding Giratina in it and showing it to the other two trainers. It had a picture of the giratina she had caught on it, as well as the confirmation that it was captured. "Like this, right? Is that how they are normally colored?" Rose asked. When Vince asked if her friends were alright and commented that they must be strong for taking it down, she looked down at her feet sheepishly. "Um... everyone is alright but... we didn't defeat it... " Rose mumbled, tucking her dex back away. She really wasn't looking forward to actually facing the Giratina the way she was being told.
"Thank you! It's nice to meet you, too!" The red head smiled after Olive told her she had two beautiful pokemon. Auriel trilled, obviously flattered by the comment. While Rose may have been distracted by Olive, Fynx listened intently to Vince's response to her question. "So Sinnoh should have more answers then... Thank you very much." Fynx responded, bowing her head slightly. "I'm sorry if we intruded on anything. Rose, we should get going soon." The delphox followed up with an apology. The psychic had a feeling that the two older trainers had some things they wanted to do, and she didn't want to hold them up much longer.
