Misa recollected that there were Pokemon she had fought in this city that were much different than the Pidgeys. She believed that she recollected a Mankey and a Jigglypuff but her memory wasn’t 100% there. It could have been the eagerness to fight an opponent but she did desire to find something else. Even with Pidgey after Pidgey flying through the air in groups the Pokemon did not seem interested. ’Even they want to find something else. It would get pretty boring if you just fight one opponent over and over again.’ So it was starting to look like she was beginning to understand her Pokemon. It was especially so when they began to share the same passions. Though, she did wonder what sort of things she could do around here. Misa had heard that there was a museum around here but that wouldn’t mean that her Pokemon would be able to meet other Pokemon, well at least to fight them. ’I wonder if there is another way?’

Pondering about what else may be done she began to steer herself to the nearest bench. Her partners began to follow suit while questioning as to why the human wanted to take a detour. ”I wonder if there is a better way to attract Pokemon.” The girl recollected the move Sweet Scent but she had heard that the move was more often used in battle than to lure Pokemon. It was going to be difficult to attract Pokemon in this way but she had to bide her time. If she was too rash then she would attract unwanted attention and even scare off the Pokemon. Thus without much to do, Misa went to digging through her bag to see what items she could play with. The berries were the first item to really grab her attention. They were just sitting her bag without really doing much. Perhaps there was a way to use them to kill some time? ”Alright, team, let us continue onwards!” The members turned their heads to the side to better understand the girl. Glancing around the various shops in the area it seemed like the city had quite the collection. There were many building and homes that appeared pretty open for travelers to enter. ’It’s so peaceful here. It’s nothing like Pallet Town.’ Pallet Town was small and didn’t have too much going on for it. There were elderly people who lived there but there were still plenty of people Misa’s age who lived there. It was quiet and peaceful. The city was different. Pewter City was fairly big but not too big where you would get lost. It had lots of tall buildings and had many attractions like the Museum and the Gym. In Pallet Town they didn’t even have a Pokemon Center or a Gym. It was just a quaint little place to settle down for more aged individuals. But taking a look around the area she wondered if she could ever envision herself staying here. Certainly everything was located in one area but would that make her happy? People come and go in the city but that isn’t to say that people didn’t come and go from Pallet Town too.

Pallet Town still had Professor Oak and for all beginning Trainers he possessed their starter Pokemon. It was quite funny really, not too long ago she started on this journey without a single Pokemon. When she went off to Professor Oak she received her Bulbasuar. Why? Bulbasaur appeared to be the sort that was close to nature. Now, that isn’t to say that the other Pokemon weren’t close. There was Charmander who was a Fire-type and Squirtle who was a Water-type. Squirtle would have been a great choice too but she felt that if she was going to understand the world of Pokemon then she was going to need a Grass-type. Either of the starters would have been a great choice. It was just a matter of preference at this point. “Grow!” A bark shot out from Misa thoughts. There was still a whole lot of information that was missing but it would get filled eventually. So, as Misa went to pick-up the ball she knew it would go straight to the PC. Indeed, the ball lite up and disappeared from her hand. ”A job well done!”

“Ladies first.” ”Thank you!” Misa turned to the Pokemon who were all very eager to participate in the battle. It was clear that everyone wanted to get a turn in. But the girl wanted to be fair with the Pokemon who had yet gone battle. ”I”ll choose you Pidgey, we’ve been giving you a hard time lately. So I’ll let you be the first one in.” Pidgey chirped delighted as it flew in front of its Trainer and faced the opponent. “A Flying-type eh? Then I’ll send out one of my own.” The Trainer sent out his Lv. 8 Zubat to face Misa’s Lv. 15 Pidgey. Pidgey didn’t appear nervous and neither did its Trainers. “Ladies first.” ”You’re a real gentleman!” Misa sounded delighted as she gazed at the bat Pokemon. It was a very common sight in Kanto as it could be found almost anywhere. But it probably would have been better to have used Butterfree but she reminded herself that Butterfree already had its turn to battle. ”Pidgey, let’s start off with Tackle! Pidgey leapt to the air in a heartbeat and made quick contact with the bat Pokemon. It didn’t have time to register the tiny bird Pokemon’s speed before it went crashing down. “Well, I guess you can’t judge a book by its cover.” Zubat feebly began to get back up but one could tell that it had taken major damage from the move. “Zubat, use Astonish!” The bat Pokemon made a strange startling sound. Pokemon by Misa’s sound were not at all pleased by the move. However, Pidgey didn’t appear affected. ”I guess you forgot that Ghost-type don’t work on Normal-type Pokemon.” The Trainer appeared embarrassed while scratching the back of his head. “I guess I forgot that Pidgey was also a Normal-type.” ”Pidgey, finish this off with a Quick Attack.” Being surrounded by light Pidgey hurled dead straight into Zubat. Saliva came out of its toothy mouth and slammed into the ground for the last time. ”I guess that is my win.”

With five bright green leaves it looked to be in absolutely great health. It was standing tall and proud on its little blue legs. Its eyes appeared quite bright and Misa wanted an Oddish of her own! The little creature was absolutely adorable in her eyes. Though she hadn’t seen any around these parts or in the forest. It would be further down the road but an Oddish now made it to her list. ”Ivysaur, let’s make it a fair battle.” Ivysaur appeared quite pumped as it leapt into the battle scene. Misa didn’t want to send out Dewgong and make this such a one-sided battle. So, the battle would be between a Lv. 17 Ivysaur and a Lv. 8 Oddish. Already the battle was not going to be unbalanced but at least she wanted the two to be on the same type platform. ”Ivysaur use Take Down! The bulb Pokemon jumped at her words and rushed towards Oddish. The creature panicked and began to run away from Ivysaur. However, Oddish’s speed wasn’t fast enough to outrun the four-legged creature. The two-legged Pokemon flew through the air and smacked straight into the wall. Ivysaur took some small damage from that move but it was overall a one-hit KO. ”I hope Oddish is alright.” “I’m sure it will once we go to the Pokemon Center.

Maybe he went all the way to the next city over to get that Oddish. I better train here and catch all the Pokemon I can catch here so that I can wrap this up.’ ”Then I’m going to let Dewgong take the stage this time.” Sending out the one Pokemon who hadn’t been able to keep up with the team, they were thrilled. It was clear that the creature was rather weak as it got on its legs. Yet there were swirls in the creature's eyes, a clear sign that it had flinched. ”Finish it off with Icy Wind.” An icy breeze easily spewed from the white creature’s mouth and completely engulfed the small creature. The Trainer let out a grunt as its third Pokemon was defeated.

“Well, you’ve bested me so far. Let’s see if you can handle my last Pokemon.” The Trainer summoned a Venonat by his side. If Misa’s memory was correct then that Pokemon was a Bug and Psychic-type. There were a couple of Pokemon who could make quick work of this Pokemon but she still wanted to make it sort of fair. ”Butterfree, I know you can handle this.” Misa’s Butterfree happily floated on over in the battle to fight against a Lv. 8 Venonat. ”Confusion, but please don’t be too harsh with it.” Misa had no desire to have a potentially dead Pokemon on her hands. Especially if her Bug type was planning on treating this opponent like it did with the Pidgey before. Venonat soared through the air and face planted on the nearest wall. It slid down slowly, creating this strange sound as it flopped fainted by its Trainer’s feet. ”Do you have anymore Pokemon?” The Trainer chuckled before shaking his head. “This was your victory, congrats. I’ll be sure to find you again when my Pokemon have become stronger.” With that the man left and in its place a Rattata. ”It looks like we have company.”

With the Trainer gone now it was time to see who would battle the Wild Pokemon. She didn’t think too much on it as she beckoned Pikachu to take center stage. ”To be fair, we pretty much all saw it first so I’m going by order here. I’m sure Pikachu won’t have too much trouble with this Pokemon.” “Pika!” It replied happily as it faced its opponent. The Lv. 6 Rattata wasn’t very strong and probably wouldn’t give much experience to the electric-type but neither of them wanted to be picky about it. ”Pikachu, use Quick Attack.” The creature sprang into action and attacked the other mouse Pokemon. It was dealt quite a hit and looked ready to give its own attack. It charged towards the yellow creature with its Tackle Attack but it didn’t seem to harm Pikachu too much. ”Finish it with another Quick Attack.” And with that final move the opponent fell to the ground defeated. ”Hmmmm, maybe we need to backtrack our steps. Let’s go back to to Viridian City and look for other Pokemon there.” The Pokemon agreed and followed the human out of the city and to the Viridian forest. {Exit}

”Well, we are back here. I guess we should find some opponents.” The slight fear that they would run or find only Pidgeys was prominent. That was pretty much what they ran into while they were here. Sure, there were Pokemon here that Misa wanted to run into but she was able to run into them in Viridian City. As to why she could find them there more often than here was a bit confusing. They were both cities so it shouldn’t have been too difficult or the terrain wouldn’t that different. But while she was in Viridian City there were so many Nidorans coming towards her. It was just odd or maybe that karma at hand?

’Which Pokemon...Ekans is a poison type and I know it doesn’t have the ability Poison Point. And it's a Lv. 7 Ekans which means it might be a bit of a challenge for my other Pokemon. I know Butterfree can one KO this Pokemon but shouldn’t I give the other Pokemon a chance?
