"Let's go, then. The sooner we get it done, the better." Larai replied with a smile.

"Alright then. Anything you need to do, do it now before we leave. We've got a lot to do before this place can be considered a room." Daemon said setting Milly back down on the ground in case she needed to scamper off to use the bathroom or something.

Milly shook her head 'no'. "No, I'm ready. Let's go~"

Daemon smiled, taking her hand as the group left the caves.

Larai followed the two along, wanting to help however possible. Somehow, though, she couldn't help but feel that she was starting to become the third wheel...

((Ah, the problem of entering a relationship when someone already has a kid.))
"So, Milly...." Daemon began in thought. "...you know Larai and I are having a child in the future, right? To satisfy that pesky demon from Hell's Court, of course, but you'll still be a big sister someday. I hope you won't get jealous if I have to spend a bit of time taking care of the baby." he told her.

{Yus indeed. XD I can see a beautiful rivalry forming in the near future.}
"I understand. I won't mind so long as you don't break your promise." Milly replied as she walked along with Daemon, a hint of adult venom in her voice as she mentioned his possibly breaking his promise. Otherwise, though, Milly sounded quite sweet.

"I know, I know....And on that note, it would also be nice if you could learn to see Larai as your mother now?" Daemon said looking down at Milly with a hopeful smile. "Marianne certainly isn't around anymore, and I've already made it clear that I have no intention of leaving Larai. I'm sure it would mean a lot to us both if you could."

"I barely know your lover. I will not accept her as a replacement for my mother. Not now, not ever." Milly stated, a somewhat dim look in her eyes as she spoke in an age not physically her own. At least, not anylonger. "I might like her later, though. If she's really really nice." she then added in with a honeysweet tone and smile.

"I understand you feel that way, and I don't expect anything from you so soon, but just give her a chance. I'm sure you two will get a long fine, given some time." Daemon said optimistically.

"Mmkay. We'll see, though. It's not fair to assume it just yet." Milly replied, still knowing almost nothing about Larai. That, plus, she was still a little pissed that Daemon loved Larai more than her.

Daemon just sighed slightly. He knew there was no way those two would get along so well so soon, no matter how much he hoped and prayed. Of course, there was also how Larai felt about the daughter she had no say in adopting.

Larai was going to be supportive of Daemon, no matter what, and felt that she could not say anything against his trying to rebuild a bond with Milly. She did not like it, but would never dare say so. Not even though she felt like she almost didn't belong at all.

"So what do you want to look for first? Toys, or some things to make your room actually look like a room?" Daemon asked once they made it to town.

"I want furniture." Milly replied after a moment of thought. She would get to get toys later anyway, right?
