But surely, black is the absense of colour, and therefore light, so by definition you cannot have "black light". I am aware of other wavelengths we cannot see (thank you Chemistry A-Level
biggrin ) but Ultra violet/Infra Red light isn't black, we just can't see it. And the nearest visable thing to them is Red and Purple.
So really, there is no such thing as black light.
scream Light is divided into the magnetic spectrum, perceived by humans as colours, so, light=colour. BLACK is light being absorbed by an object, i.e. all colours. WHITE is light being reflected, as in NO COLOURS. GRAY is absence of light, and therefor colour. BASIC BLOODY OPTICS!!!!!! And this IS relative, because the light saber's blades are made of ENG/Plasma, and therefor have mass and a surface to reflect light. This gives lightssabers the ability to have colour, and it is determined by how a jedi/sith composes the weapon, which, btw, each makes his own, unless the weapon is taken in battle.*nerdrage*
