If someone calls you a nerd for liking anime, they're probably right. I thought people in a board like this would think being called a nerd is a good thing. After looking at this thread though, apparently it's not... I thought with how awesome being a nerd is, people would look for any excuse to be labled as one. Why not anime?

ANIME!!!! it's the most awesomest thing EVER exclaim and I couldn't care what ya call it blaugh because i'm wierd, a nerd, a goth(not really, just like dark stuff), evil(not really)(people just call be that cuz i said I was somehow gonna become a mafia leader and kill people and stuff)(WHOO), a geek. and well a LOT of different labels. I'm just THAT crazy blaugh

To some people it is, to some people it isn't. Just our opinions. I don't think it's very nerdy, but it is awesome! I wonder what my personality would be without it.

It wouldn't be nerdy if there weren't so many preteen fangirls going around shouting "kawaii" and talking to people about how they're in love with a "cartoon" guy. That's why it's considered nerdy, I think.

Well, I don't think so. "Geeks" are just drawn to it because some of it actually has a point. There's a storyline, oh my gosh. Well, I'm not saying it all does. Just quite a few of them. So, they assume since "geeks" are watching it, it means it's geeky. WOW.
