[ORP - Game] Motoujamii Man-hunt

When no one answered, Baise sat down for a few seconds, considering her options. Where would be the most likely place for the Regent to hide...? Standing slowly, her paws took her to the Hongshan Quarter. There were several tracks on the ground, some more recent than others. The huntress looked a few in particular but decided not to follow them lestshe bother some poor soul who was just trying to rest in peace. The area was also filled with the scents of the pride and it was dificult to recognize any one of them in particular.

She looked around, some confusion entering her eyes. She felt like she was being watched and as a shiver ran down her spine, she silently acknowledged she really didn't like the feeling.

So far, no luck. Still, he wasn't about to let that stop him. Perhaps the Regent had hidden in that which was meant to protect the pride - the Sandstorm Refuge. Ruber headed over, but once again found nothing. Eyes narrowed. He was starting to get annoyed with this "game."

So far, nothing. But what did it matter? He was still having fun playing Agni-pariksha's game. From the Barracks he headed towards the Training Grounds, the last place he'd personally interacted with the Regent. Not that he thought that would have any impact on her choice of hiding places.

Not that he thought she was truly hiding and concealing herself. The pride wasn't exactly a small place.

Keahi moved across the sandstorm refuge, green eyes sweeping across the sands looking for any sign of their new regent. Her shoulder muscles rippled as she moved, paws tamping across the shifting grains beneath her as she moved, head shifting this way and that, looking for something.

Any sign that she was getting close, but it appeared that luck was not in her favor.

Feeling confident about her decision to become a part of a team, Alya left the sandstorm refuge. The chance that all three of them had missed seeing the regent in the smaller area was low, so she figured it a good idea to spread out and look elsewhere. Moving across the lands, the lioness entered the oasis. The day was hot enough and there were plenty of places to hide, so it seemed a reasonable enough place to hide, right? The soldier found no initial luck, though, but still decided to hang around and be thorough.

Ud was surprised that he had found someone so quickly, albeit it had been the completely wrong lion and wrong gender. Still, it gave him hope that he'd do a bit better with finding the actual lioness he was looking for. He walked slowly away from the spot he had bumped into the Regent's father but didn't go very far. He was looking carefully, after all. He kept his nose to the wind and eyes wide as he slowly walked through the Oasis, his paws coming to rest at the edge of where the trees ended and the training grounds began. Hm....this was going to be harder than he thought.

Menkar was glad he was on a team now. They could divide and conquer and maybe he'd even get a paw in on a win! He didn't mind who found her, just that they'd all get a shot at catching her.

He trotted off to the barracks, humming softly as he went. As much as he missed the shady jungle of his old pride, he had to admit there was something wonderful about feeling the sand shift beneath his paws and the sun warm his pelt. That, and the night sky was simply amazing here. He could see far more stars than he had ever hoped to!

Akane and Que

Akane was disappointed when she didn't find the Regent right away in the oasis. It was foolish as she could be anywhere. What were the chances she'd actually locate her on the first try? Apparently very slim. "No matter Que. She's not here," Akane called the familiar to her side as she plotted her next move. The Hongshan Quarter. That was a bit out of the way. The dark red lioness turned and headed that way.

In fact she was a bit uneasy. She didn't usually stray this way and it felt a bit like trespassing despite them being part of the pride as well. No! The lioness thought firmly. I have to do this. It would be a perfect hiding place if no one felt comfortable coming here. She squared her shoulders and crept quietly into the area. This was about stealth and sneaking up on her prey. That's it. She'd have to think of the Regent as prey on a scouting mission. A grin broke across her muzzle.


Que-ale moved along, employing his nose with practiced ease. The faint hint of a scent. He gave a soft signal to Akane then turned to zero in on it. Where was it coming from? Nose to the ground, Que moved slowly. There. The scent was getting stronger. The owner of it had sat here for a time. "She was here Akane." He pointed with his nose. "It's still quite fresh. I think she might be close." Close, but he couldn't pinpoint it.

Plamen

Plamen quickly admitted defeat with a quirky grin. Nope, no Regent here. He gave it some thought, and decided the best place to hide would be in a refuge. More specifically the Sandstorm Refuge. Right? It made sense, they hid from sandstorms there, so why not scores of your pride hunting for you? He laughed to himself and moved out.

His eyes naturally watched for signs of fresh water coming to the surface. It was his job, and old habits were hard to break. He quickly reached his goal and hunted around. There didn't seem to be any fresh signs. Maybe he just wasn't looking hard enough. He poked his nose into every nook and cranny he could find, and some he shouldn't as the resident chased his nose out.

From the training grounds, to the Hongshan Quarter, something told the lioness she was definitely here. She peaked around, but came empty pawed again. She noticed a few lions here and there also looking about, and decided if they couldn't find anything she couldn't either.

She nodded to the other lions but didn't say anything to them. What was there to say? They were also empty pawed. "No such luck"

Instead of finding the regent, Chante-peta found Alya. Well, this was awkward, though she was quite a few feet away from him, he decided not to go over and talk to her. They had a mission to do, and so far they weren't doing it very well. The oasis was not the best place to pick to search for the Regent, he decided after a while. Though, he continued to look about.

He soon turned and decided this place was no use. He was to search in another place. Alya was capable of searching here without him.

Xipil had been drawn by the crowd of Firekin who'd sought to locate the regent and the potential glory a capture could bring them. Glory had never been something of interest to him, though his rank might have implied otherwise, and yet...

Here he was, moving from where he'd received information on this game of hide and seek and into the training grounds with bright blue eyes sharp and searching.

[Excited Apathy]

Instead of shifting to another area, Vatra stubbornly persisted in the Hongshan Quarter. It just made too much sense for the Hongshan-blooded Regent to start her little game here. She was about to admit that it also made quite a lot of sense to begin in the most unexpected areas when she caught a glimpse of movement that was much more...stealthy. A wide grin broke across her muzzle, and she veered off in pursuit.
