Beau would have a single moment before the Psychic blast slammed into him, where he could see Rui slipping away, Connor brandishing a Pokeball, and the Snatcher taking a swing at Connor. Well, that certainly left him with very few options about what to do , he thought, the impact of the Psychic blast sending him spiraling into the air. Well, there was one way to do this. "Baron, Acrobatics!" Beau shouted, letting the motion of the Psychic blast send him flying towards where he had seen Rui slipping away to. Catching himself in midair with his wings, the Vivillon hybrid would begin to fly after the red haired girl. Meanwhile, the Fletchinder would swoop down witha balck trail following closely behind, the Flying type slamming into the Bug type and sending it sprawling before darting back up towards the roof. If the Ariados wanted a real fight, it had to get onto Red Baron's level.

Had it not been for the sudden Rock Tomb, Amaranth's Butterfree would surely be taken along for a ride. She hastily recalled both of her Pokemon for the sake of their safety, thankful that they hadn't given in to their urges and succumbed to Hyper Mode and quickly trying to reach the rest. Luckily, it didn't take long for her to do just that, trying to make as loud a whistle as she could to call Breeze over.

Unfortunately, she would get no results since whistling from inside a building, let alone from the ground, meant hearing anything of the sort was unlikely. After a moment, Amaranth went to grab Hawlucha's ball and felt kinda stupid for her efforts. "Why did I try that...?" She asked herself, having Hawlucha take to the air and try to assist Beau's Fletchinder with a High Jump Kick.

With the Steel Snatcher's punch smacked away he was left wide open for Dan's palm strike to his jaw, causing the man's head to wipe upwards and his mask to fly off his face revealing a man with piercing red eyes and some sort of white bar horizontal tattoo across his face. The snatcher's first reaction was to retaliate but then he noticed the Meditite going after his girlfriend. Stepping back to get some room away from Connor he would release his Ditto and pointed to the Fletchinder in the air. "Transform! Save Ru!" He cried out. The Ditto would obey happily as it became a copy of the bird and fluttered away, swooping down on Meditite from above as it readied a Wing Attack. "You're in my way!" The man cried as he tried to backhand Connor with the Snag Machine gloved hand. He would then follow up the smack with a kick to Connor's gut.

As Rui ran she didn't see the Meditite coming at her from behind but looked up and noticed Beau flying above. "Help me! That hybrid is trying to kidnap me!" She cried out, causing the crowd around her to look up and panic. While it was fortunate that not many people in Orre had Pokemon to send after Beau they did have bottles and cans which they proceeded to assault the hybrid with, yelling at him to leave the girl alone.

The Ariados wouldn't even see the real Fletchinder coming as it sent it flying into the air with its Acrobatics. Before it had a chance to retaliate Amaranth's Hawlucha came in and sent it soaring even higher with its High Jump kick. As the spider came falling back to earth it saw that it had nothing to latch onto so instead it fired a String Shot at the Fletchinder, hoping to use it to fly to safety.

Beau would desperately attempt to keep up with Rui through the storm of trash and rocks that came flying at him, powering through the pelting objects but managing to lose sight of Rui in his efforts to evade the larger debris. Continuing ti glide forward and keep with his evasion of the trash, Beau hoped that if he couldn't find Rui, he would at least be a good distraction for whoever else what chasing her down.

Baron would be a nice latching-on point for Ariados, the String Shot hooking where the Flying type couldn't cut the string. Instead, the Fletchinder would simply charge towards where the Ariados would be arcing from the swing as flame began to coat his feathers. Aiming the Flame Charge to take care of the new passenger was the best method Baron saw for this.

Lykas recalled Cordelia after the attack on Ariados, the Relicanth returning to her ball easily enough. "Arcus, back." He'd command, recalling his Castform as well.

"Sphynx! Thunder Wave!" He'd call out, ducking close to her as the Luxray let loose a pulsating wave of lightning that should manage to catch the Steel Snatcher off guard. It might hit Connor, too, but sometimes sacrifices had to be made. As for miss Rui? She'd find herself falling victim to something else entirely.

"Not so fast!" Rang out into the minds of those gathered as a Gardevoir appeared, a glimmering stone set into a silver chain around it's waist. Mykel attempted to catch the girl with his Psychic attack but if she was quick enough, she might be able to get away in spite of his psychic powers.

Hawlucha would end up having to land after his attack, arms outstretched as he did. He and Amaranth watched as the Ariados went to try and get to safety, only for Hawlucha to go for another High Jump Kick, trying to catch Ariados in mid swing.

Amaranth, on the other hand, tried to climb into the seats and get into the crowd in whatever way she could, trying to catch up to Rui to help in stopping her if not take some of the bottles and cans that might've gone after Beau.

Seeing his strike knock the mask off his face, Connor could help but reveal a faint smirk. He took the opportunity of the guy stepping back to get into a proper fighting stance. The Ditto was of no concern to him, confident his Pokemon or the others could handle it. If he could subdue the Snatcher, they wouldn't even need his girlfriend, not that he expected him to go down easy. Then again, this guy was telegraphing his attacks, making it easy to counter. Raising his arm, he'd block his heavy swing, wincing a little from connecting with the metal. Connor then braced himself for the kick to the side, quickly grabbing hold of it once it did. Standing on one leg, it would be quite easy to drive him to the ground and follow through with an elbow strike to his leg. That is, until he saw the Thunder Wave coming and quickly released the Snatcher instead. He barely had time to distance himself, getting mild shocks from the electricity.

Asura on the other hand was in pursuit of the redhead, quickly gaining on her. She was readying a Force Palm to hit her in the back; however, she found herself under attack. The Meditite had no time to counterattack, taking a blow to the chest as she turned. Managing to keep her footing as she now faced the avian. The girl was getting away from her but there were several others already after her. So taking care of this new threat too precedence, using Confusion to try to force it to the ground.

As the Ariados swung upward the Fletchinder would come barreling right into it with its Flame Charge, sending it flying and breaking off from its String Shot. The spider wouldn't get another chance to recover as the Hawluncha came along and sent it flying even higher into the air and by the time it hit the ground it was knocked out cold.

Rui managed to evade Beau but in doing so she put her self right in the view of Lykas' Gardevoir, the girl also having come to a dead stop when she spotted Amaranth. With the girl still she was ripe pickings for the Gardevoir and her Psychic attack. "No! Let me go!" She protested against the Psychic which held her in place.

The Ditto-chinder would take the Confusion attack, getting slammed into the ground by it. While the copycat's first instinct was to retaliate it noticed that Rui was stuck and proceeded to swoop back into the air to help her, the fake bird executing a Quick Attack against the Gardevoir to try and get it to let up long enough for Rui to flee, provided no one physically restrained her.

As for the Steel Snatcher he would get tripped up by Connor and fall to the ground, the Thunder Wave hitting him and causing his body to seize up. This time he certainly wasn't a Ditto. "You're making...a big...mistake..." The Steel Snatcher said to Connor, forcing the words as it was difficult to move his mouth.

Beau would flutter off further until he finally escaped the overwhelming crowd from the coliseum, hiding himself on a rooftop as he waited out the aggressive crowd. "Couldn't have just shouted fire. Had to make it about race." Beau grumbled from his perch.

Meanwhile, the real Fletchinder would turn towards where its master had gone and find...itself attacking their allies. Offended at the imposter doing his thing, Red Baron would streak across the sky with his own Quick Attack to engage the Ditto-chinder in an aerial duel.

Connor held his wrist, moving his digits about, trying to get some feeling back in them. He didn't see who fired that Thunder Wave, though he wouldn't complain much since it did get the Snatcher. He scoffed at the man's empty threat, seeing how he was down on the ground paralyzed. "Hey. You put you and your loudmouth girlfriend in this situation. You're the one who made a mistake."

As for his Meditite, she successfully managed to down the Ditto-chinder. But instead of continuing the fight, the bird took off over head toward Mykel. Well if she was just going to be ignored, she would continue her original task of catching the girl. Asura ran behind the Ditto on foot, her open palm ready to strike as she jumped into the air. Her target; however, was Rui in order to knock her out. The Meditite made sure to hold back a little to avoid serious injury.

While Hawlucha was glad for his success, there was one tiny problem: he couldn't quite stop. Despite landing the hit, he still kept going and ended up crashing into the bleachers with a thud, groaning as he eventually got up.

"And why should we?" Amaranth asked at once, giving a bit of a glare and keeping ready to move if Rui was freed. "What is all this about, and why are you with him?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2016 9:52 pm

The real Fletchinder would ram into the fake, causing it to spiral uncontrollably through the air and crash into a nearby pillar, the transforming Pokemon reverting back to its original state as it slid down the pillar slowly. It was down for the count.

"He's my boyfriend, as if you didn't know. But that doesn't matter, you've ruined everything!" Rui shouted at Amaranth. She had no where to go between Amaranth and Beau and didn't see the Meditite coming up behind her who proceeded to knock her out cold with a smack to the back of the head, the girl falling over into Amaranth's arms.

"You didn't do your homework if you think this is my doing. Either way, you better make sure she is safe when they come. I'm holding you responsible." The Steel Snatcher hissed at Connor as he laid there helplessly. What did that mean?

"Company!" Larrimore shouted as he came running back into the coliseum, quickly finding Beauregard. "Blow the roof! Now! We need a distraction so we can retreat!"

Larrimore's panic would be explained as a group of winged Pokemon came smashing in through the windows, the aggressive creatures immediately proceeding to attack the citizens inside the coliseum. Shadow Pokemon, they had to be, and they were really pissed off. This must have been the plan of those grunts back at Pre Gym, to attack the gym with so many Shadow Pokemon that the Steel Snatcher and Rui had to come out and in the panic they would snap them up.

(You may snag one Shadow Pokemon that can evolve or has no evolutions and fly or levitate.)

From his perch on the coliseum roof, Beau heard the call for his perfect storm of kaboom and reached for a Pokeball to get himself a light for this apocalyptic rooftop. When he felt his ahnd wrap around the Pokeball for Zippo, Beau saw what he was about to distract as a swarm of Shadow Pokemon zipped through the air and one of them zeroed in on him. A Heracross to be specific as it divebombed from the swarm towards him and forced him to evade the blow rather than draw out his Charmander. "Jeez! I get it! Its a race thing!" Beau cried out, watching out of the corner of his eye as Red Baron slammed into the Ditto. Alright, he just needed to keep this thing distracted till Red Baron showed up.

This was easier said than done, as a flurry of projectiles slammed into him like a machine gun blast, forcing him to dive for cover and sprint around the roof. The Bullet Seed would cut off as he took position behind a small chimney, giving Beau a moment to groan in pain. "Those are gonna bruise." Beau grumbled, leaping back from the chimney as a Pin Missile punched through the chimney and nearly drove itself into his chest. Slowly backing away from the chimney as more missiles punched through the chimney and made the metal of it bend and twist. Holding his breath as he waited to see if the Heracross would back off or simply keep firing. The answer came when the chimney exploded into shrapnel as the Heracross charged through it, wreathed in a eerie green energy. "Cool! I mean, oh hell, I really need some aid, Baron." Beau exclaimed, backpedaling from the Heracross as it came slamming in with scything limbs that scraped and tore at the roof. This wasn't an attack, this was pure aggression.

Slowly losing ground, the Vivillon hybrid would shift his tactics on a dime and tackle the Heracross. Enduring a few errant claw slashes as he slammed the Bug type into the ground, Beau could finally see Baron drawing near. "Ember!" Beau screamed, desperately attempting to keep the Heracross on the ground even as it forced its way to its feet. Watching as the Heracross forced its horn between it and Beau, the Fighting type would launch Beau into the air with enough force to knock the wind from his lungs. Staring at the roof from his forced flight path, Beau watched as a small flame streaked across the air and gently touched the roof. A blinding flash would erupt through Phenac City and an earth-shattering rumble would ring through the city as an immense fireball sprung up from the coliseum roof. Before he could admire his handiwork, a body would slam into him and send him slamming into the ground. Grunting with the impact and feeling himself unable to move the mass on top of him, Beau examined the body and found it to be his enemy Heracross.

Struggling into his bag and drawing out a Great Ball, he watched as the Heracross disappeared into the device and lifted its weight off his body. Breathing a sigh of relief, Beau would lay back as he awaited the sweet release of unconsciousness.

Lykas was feeling a bit proud of himself and his Pokemon when he realized they had both succeeded in catching their targets. He started to apologize when he realized he had hit Connor with that Thunder Wave but then again -shadow Pokemon everywhere-! It happened so fast he didn't even have the chance to register than it had.

Before he even knew it, he was knocked to the ground by a sturdy, rough-textured creature. "Wha-?"

"Phan phan!"

"Ya, ya, you hate humans. I get it. Get over your rage face issues." Lykas countered, eyes flashing black as he threw a Hex at the Phantump.

"Phaaaaan!" The little spirit cried out before narrowing it's eyes, it's withered horns glowing green for a few seconds before a spark of green light hit between them, a Leech Seed firing off at the hybrid.

"Uh-oh." Lykas muttered, crossing his arms in front of himself as his ponytail split apart and four additional tentacles crossed in front of his arms, attempting to block the draining seed before it could hit properly and take root within him. The attack would never strike, however. A thin golden veil of sparkling light appeared half an inch away from his body where the seed should have struck and it fell harmlessly to the the the ground, leaving him untouched.

"Huh? That's unusual..."He commented before deciding not to look a gift Ponyta in the mouth and fired a Will-o-Wisp at the Ghost-type.

"Phan phan tump!" Phantump exclaimed, firing a Will-o-Wisp of it's own to counter Lykas'. The two flames met and merged, spiraling around one another in the space between the combatants for a few seconds before they burst apart. The flames bursting apart, revealed an Ultra Ball sailing through the air towards the little ghost, leaving it practically no time to resist the attempt to capture it. The ball shook twice before it stilled and Lykas feared it might burst open and release it's captive until only a moment later, it shook once again and then stilled once more, pinging after a long and unpleasant pause.

"Phew...." Lykas sighed, released a partially held breath. He'd been afraid that even that Ultra Ball wouldn't hold Phantump without having dealt any serious damage to it. Luckily it held in spite of the Pokemon's Shadow nature.

Panic would overcome Amaranth as she recalled her Hawlucha at once, seeing Pokemon after Pokemon pour into the colosseum. Nothing felt right about any of them, especially not the Pidgey that tried to swoop down and peck one of her eyes out. She barely managed to get out of its way, having an even worse feeling that she’d need to deal with her Tropius yet again or that worse, Breeze wound up caught in the mess at hand. A hard sigh would escape her as she prepared herself, letting Tropius back out as the Pidgey turned and readied itself for another attack.

There wouldn’t be any time to react as the Pidgey immediately slammed into Tropius with a Shadow Rush. Though the attack did little damage, it did serve one purpose well and riled Tropius up easily. No amount of calls seemed to be of use as Tropius went and knocked Pidgey down and went to Stomp it without a second thought. This led to Amaranth finally screaming in frustration, inadvertently giving Pidgey enough time to evade the attack.

“Why won’t you listen!?” Unfortunately, this wouldn’t provide Tropius the epiphany she was hoping for, finding her own Pokemon turning against her for a moment, lashing out and knocking her down. Despite this, she looked up and stared Tropius down as she quickly got back to her feet. “I’m not afraid of either of you. You can either do what you will, or give me a chance and try to trust that I won’t just lead you off a cliff. Now what is it going to be?” In the process of all of this, Pidgey was readying another attack and was already swooping towards Tropius.

Not missing a beat, Amaranth pointed behind Tropius. “If anything I’m saying means anything to you, then attack with Gust! Now!” Whether any of it went through or not was debatable, but something seemed to click long enough with Tropius for him to turn and flap the massive leaves on his back. A harsh bout of turbulent wind was kicked up, catching the Pidgey off guard and throwing its trajectory off. What had been an attack aimed at what it saw as an obstacle took on a more literal meaning when it slammed into the wall before the bleachers instead. This still did nothing to ultimately deter it, getting back into the air with a loud cry.

It was then that Amaranth noticed something she didn’t truly think about before now. The way these Pokemon attacked without cease, let alone how they acted and their apparent refusal to listen unless someone shot back with the same intensity. She remembered the apparent recollections of the past as well as Devon’s documentation and their own, how a Pokemon’s heart was closed and knew little more than constant fighting. Almost like they were scared and didn’t dare bring anyone else close. There was no reason to force this fight to go on for any longer, leaving Amaranth resisting an urge to send a boot to the head of whoever sent all of these in here as she prepped a Poke Ball into the Snag Machine.

“There’s no reason for you to fight either. Save it for the one that did this to you,” Amaranth spoke up before hurling the Snag Ball before Pidgey could try to attack again, panting and trying to calm herself down as the ball wobbled and shook violently. It seemed like an eternity as she watched the constant thrashing about, staring intently and finally sighing in relief when it all stopped and the ball clicked. If anyone owned that Pidgey before, they didn’t now. She’d eventually look back at Tropius as he stepped over silently, recalling him just in time to end up falling over from the rumbling and seeing the end results of Beau’s approach to the situation.

“Was that really necessary!?” She yelled, ready to bolt if she needed to.
