So. All that was between him and his chosen victim was the cloud of Smog and the hybrid that had the unfortunate nature of being between him and what he was going to leave for the thing hunting him. Dropping a Pokeball, he would simply telepathically tell his chosen Pokemon, "Wash that hybrid out." A Water Pulse would erupt from beside him, the Cloyster holding its ground easily as it sent the fluctuating water blast towards the hybrid. However, it seemed the Water Pulse was pulsing more violently than usual, sending water flying around that weakened the attack but would aid in washing out the cloud of gas that had been around Dark. Hoping to take advantage of the gap he had hopefully made, Reno let his vision shift into a different spectrum that brought the entire world into screaming clarity that would alert him if the Houndoom hybrid was trying any attacks.
If his rush proved successful, he would slip into the shrine area after the Xatu hybrid and Dan in efforts to aid his Snagem ally.

The Shadow Ball would approach Dark around the time he reached solid ground, turning just in time to swat the attack away. It still stung as it made impact, but he gave no signs that it did much more than give him another attack to deal with. Seeing that an unexpected number of people weren't getting into the shrine now, he cracked a grin. Less people meant less problems for his accomplice to run into, though the Water Pulse cutting through and dissipating some of the smog meant he had little time to react.
He braced himself as the attack landed, though just as before, he seemed to largely be doing fine. Doused in water and with his left hand stinging, but fine... until he took notice of the Shadow Virus' influence on Cloyster's chi. It didn't feel like anything he was familiar with, but the way it threatened to encroach all it came across almost made him disappointed that he hadn't thought of it first. "Impressive, I should find out who orchestrated that," he remarked as a single Ember appeared on one of his fingertips. "He'd be most pleased. A shame it isn't being used for more than household utility."
Flicking the Ember into what remained of the Smog, he intended to ignite and detonate it to try and ensure Reno wouldn't be making it into the shrine so easily. In the process, he'd move towards the shrine himself, leaving nothing to chance.
--
Amaranth had used the Gust's opportunity to slip into the shrine, just in time to see... something disappear and reappear behind Dan, along with the remark of a bad idea. Wanting to avoid being utterly useless, she hurled a couple of Will-O-Wisps in the hybrid's direction. "And that wasn't?" She asked, making her presence known.
Cera herself was in the shrine by now, but hadn't come down just yet. She could sense someone coming close, someone she both didn't recognize at all and yet felt like she did. Whatever the case, she didn't like it, and detecting what was going on below didn't instill a whole lot of confidence either. "I'm beginning to realize why GRAY's so sarcastic all the time, and I don't think it was just because his AI decided to be that way," she commented, "Also, does anyone have eyes on this lot? I haven't been able to pinpoint one of the hybrids or someone else I keep sensing, and as far as I can tell, GRAY's been quiet about it too."

After feeling the sword connect with his target, he started to pull back to defend against a counterattack. But the blue man's words, followed by his disappearing act had come to a surprise to him. Dan's reaction couldn't catch up with how quickly everything happened and when the guy was behind him, there was little he could do but take the hit in the back. He grit his teeth from the blow, staggering forward as he stepped over the elder. In that same moment, his Axew lunged off his back, going at his target with an outstretched claw surrounded in draconic energy.

The Will-o-Wisps would come first, the hybrid sensing the incoming attack and quickly turned around to blast each one out of the air with a single jet of water per fire ball. While he dispatched the attack effortlessly it was not all for naught as he was too distracted to stop the Axew and its Dragon Claw, now racking across his back causing the hybrid to hiss in pain. When he saw Amaranth however he regained some of his lost confidence. "A hybrid that I can drown with ease and a boy who has yet to realize his potential. I expected better." The Vaporeon hybrid declared as he spat a jet of water at Amaranth while at the same time charging up an Ice Beam and pointed it threateningly at the Axew. "Stand down." He demanded.
"Eavesdropping." A voice asked Cera from behind her. Should she turn around she would spot a rather tall Xatu hybrid standing her down. Where did it come from!? Must have teleported in. The hybrid would stare down Cera menacingly as it unleashed a wave of malicious Psychic chi in her direction, the Synchronoise threatening to mix his chi with her own to cause great harm.

Between that and the gaseous attack, the gambler had just about had his fill of this strange group alongside the fact that they were invading his Clan's territory. His Master would kill him if he didn't do something a bit more drastic. Slinging the Under King title around his waist, the Giratina hybrid bodily leaps in the way of the Ember and blocks it, using his jacket to sweep aside the burning coals intending on setting the cloud of gas alight. "Alright... whoever you are... you're playing with a lot more than just fire here..." He grunts, dashing in to engage Dark, a blaze of Dragon-type chi very familiar to the opponents of the Druddigon hybrid blazing up as he cocks back his fist with Outrage and lets it fly into the chest of the Houndoom hybrid, full-force. His Gengar was attempting to stay away from the Cloyster, practically running scared from the Shadow Virus. "Gaaaaar!" it wails miserably, hiding behind some rocks.

"Excuse m-" Amaranth wouldn't get a chance to challenge the Vaporeon hybrid's words before being blasted by the jet of water, being sent back and suddenly remembering why she wasn't much of a fan of water. Still, she'd send out her Hawlucha to try and keep on some form of offense. Even if that offense meant about ten seconds of showing off and acting like it was performing for a crowd before kicking off the nearest wall and trying to crash down on the hybrid with Flying Press. "...uh oh," would be the extent anyone would hear from Cera before hearing the voice, turning around and seeing the Xatu hybrid long enough to be left feeling absolutely horrible and screaming from the Synchronoise, having no way to defend against such an attack. She'd end up on the ground in an instant, writhing in pain but somehow managing to keep from being knocked out of commission so easily. "Nice... move..." Even her thoughts sounded like they were in pain as the attack hit her so thoroughly, racing to find a way to strike back. It didn't take long to hit her, however, the mixing of the hybrid's chi with her own making it easy to figure out and replicate. "Mind if I try it out a bit?" She asked as she let off a similar wave of chi, doing her best to Mimic the attack and give the Xatu hybrid a dose of the same medicine being administered to her.

Successfully getting his attack in, Axew landed on the ground and was about to lunge in once more. By the time Dan had turned around and regained his stance, he saw his Pokemon being held up by an Ice Beam. The little guy had his arms raise and a shocked look on his face, not wanting to be shot point blank. His trainer was at a loss at what to do, fearing if he moved to attack, his dragon would be injured. And what did he mean by 'realizing potential'? It actually didn't sound all that bad but he sure said it in a way that felt condescending. Once Amaranth brought out her Hawlucha, Dan waited for the right opportunity to save his Axew. That would be after it's dramatic entrance and when it used Flying Press; when Dan threw the sheath of the sword at the hand holding Ice Beam. He'd also lunge forward with the bokken for his dragon to grab hold of and pull him to safety.

The Vaporeon hybrid within the shrine would find himself caught, hopefully, as Lykas reformed into his solid self, quickly widing his tentacles around the man's arms as he "slithered" up behind him, nice and close. "Hello. Teacher." He'd whispered into the hybrid's fin-like ear. "Never thought I'd see you here, of all places." He added, eyes beginning to glow black as he prepared a Hex to raze the water master's mind.

Varuna jerked his hand back as Dan hit it with the weapon, the hybrid too focused on spinning out of the Hawlucha's way to see it coming. Furthermore all the excitement left him wide open for Lykas to slip in behind him and deliver the Hex attack. "Agh! Foolish apprentice, you're on the wrong side!" Varuna snapped as he reached back with his right hand from underneath his left arm and, conjuring up a ball of shadows and firing it at Lykas.
The Xatu hybrid grimaced in response to being on the receiving end of his own attack, and it certainly wasn't pleasant. Right after taking the hit though the Xatu hybrid became very still and seemed to be staring off in space. The hybrid would do this for a good fifteen seconds before glancing down at Cera briefly. "Tell Blizzard I said hey." And with that said he teleported away, but not far as Cera would sense, he just went down into the basement.
"Time to go. I've seen the outcome if we stay." Horus told Varuna as he put a hand on him and teleported Varuna and himself away.

Reno would manage to get past the majority of the leftover Smog before the Ember touched down, but the explosion sent him flying. He slammed into the shrine near where Dark had taken up position, letting out a wheeze as he impacted the stone. While he would not be able to spring up at all, he would attempt to crawl towards where he could sense Horus was. He had his target, now he just needed to actually get there. To aid him would be Harleen, running across the path towards her Channeler, with some aid from Tesei to cover her sprint. Namely, a flurry of Rock Blast that aimed to keep Dark distracted from Reno's somewhat feeble attempt to continue forward.

With his Axew back where he belonged, Dan let out a sigh of relief. "Don't you go jumping off on your own anymore, got it?" he told the tiny dragon, getting a nod in response. He'd face the hybrid now, taking a stance and waiting for his moment to strike. With three of them here now, he didn't stand a chance! That is, until another hybrid showed up and whisked them both away. Dan dropped his stance for now and made his way over to the elder, wincing a bit from his injury. "Hey, you alright?" he'd ask, crouching down beside him.

The group would sense someone else coming, two of them, both emanating Psychic Chi. It kept coming at a rapid rate until the source would show up behind the Snagems, an Espeon hybrid with extremely long, dark hair, worn loose until her waist, then made into a braid down to her knees. and a Sigilyph right next to her. Though, something seemed off. Outside of her clothes, her colors would seem slightly muted, and she would register like she had borrowed chi from somewhere, as well. "Right, this was it..." The woman would take in the scene, then look to the Houndoom hybrid.
"My apologies, but you're in my way, and I'm sure you'll refuse to move." Her eyes began to glow as well as her gem, a pale pink, almost white light, and it would glow brighter as she moved her hands near it. When she shoved her arms forward, the Dazzling Gleam went with it, aimed straight for Dark.
"Miss Crystal, your master told us we have not much time. If we tarry too long, allow me to face this hellhound and move forward." Anyone could hear the Sigilyph "speak" as the bird moved forward, almost as if to keep her safe from any possible repercussions.
"We need them, too, so I will not leave them behind. Master Daruma mentioned others as well. Everything will happen in due course."

RC would draw closer to where Dusk was and then settle into a hover. Looks like he was distracted. Good. That made the likelyhood of his attack landing higher. RC would form orbs of energy in each hand and then send them seeking out towards Dusk. Once all 12 orbs had arrived and surrounded Dusk, RC would clap his hands together, activating the orbs to collide in onto Dusk and explode. It had been a while since he used his Ancientpower attack, but Dusk would find it still was as ever potent.
(Rolling for Ancientpower Boost. 1, it activtes. 2-5, nothing)

"Such a brutish lot," Dark would comment just as the onslaught of attacks seemed to crash and flash upon him with impunity, only for his form to be revealed as the most realistic of stuffed toys. His Substitute looked to be little more than a pile of fluff after the attacks, slowly expanding before suddenly bursting, a Sludge Bomb mixed in to try and catch any closeby assailants off guard. Afterward, they would see that the Houndoom hybrid was nowhere to be found, giving everyone the slip.
---
"Huh, what? Wait, how does he-" Cera would ask, suddenly thankful for the pain to cease and unable to finish before Horus went and teleported away. She thought that they were gone afterward, but she was able to still sense them. They hadn't gone far at all, only enough to try and throw everyone off. "Hey, guys! Don't let yourselves be duped, they're still here! Hurry downward!" She'd speak up at once, eventually starting to levitate again and start through the door leading further into the shrine.
"Wrong side...? What's going on here?" Amaranth asked, rushing further downstairs after Cera's relay. Her Hawlucha stuck around at her side, already finding Varuna to be a bit of a coward that didn't know any honor in the ring.

Varuna and Horus were gone, having teleported away without a trace. Dark had also fled but fortunately RC had made it impossible for the Druddigon hybrid known as Vaux to get away as he was still stranded on a boulder poking out of the water.
"He took the Heaven's Pillar." The Dragon Clan elder spoke up as he came to, picking himself off the floor and looking upon the ruined room with mournful eyes. "The blue one knows its secret, how he found out I don't know. Vaux knew of this chamber but not even he knew that staff's secret. If he figures out the vault's location then there is no telling what he will do." The clan elder spoke as if everyone already knew what he was talking about, but obviously they didn't.
