Harvey stared out the window as the train pulled into the station, a bit uncomfortable with how many people were on the train. He wanted more than anything to be on his bike, and be able to ride to the Academy, the idea of having to ride the train from the school to the city and having to give up his motorcycle while he was at the school had put more than a damper on things. He had opted to bring his bike as luggage and was working on a way to keep it in the city. He looked down at his laptop, going over the lecture he would give next class. It would cover breeding as a concept, it's applications and the interesting results it could have. He would then move on to egg groups and the basics breeding. He went through the slides making sure the charts and pictures were in place, before typing down some extra notes he'd like to cover on each subject. If I can get that order to come through, the chapter on breeding natures and moves is gonna be fun.The young man thought. The chimchar perched in the seat next to him decided to climb up on his shoulder. Harvey gave it a pat on the head, smiling at the thought of getting to talk about the subject he had become enamored with when he was 15 ( and getting paid for it!) brought a smile to his face. "This is gonna be awsome Broski"he told the monferno as the train came to a stop"I can tell"
Harvey rode the train tapping his fingers to the music in his earbuds. He was getting to the Academy to finally see his room...he wasn't sure what there would be to do honestly..he didn't even have a class today. He supposed he could check out his room, if he got bored he could always ride the train out again and play some more pool. His pokemon would be glad to finally be let out-especially Tank, the poor electric type had to be confined all of last night due to his size. As Queens started in on the chorus, Harvey stopped tapping the window long enough to take in the view. He'd be at Ordell soon.
Niara arrived at the station with Mitus in her arms. Seemed others were making their way home as well. She sat at a bench and waited for a train to come. Eventually it did and Niara got on board, keeping an eye on her pokegear to keep track of the time. She didn't want to be off the campus past curfew time. Her parents wouldn't be too happy to hear she was breaking rules alread

The train ride into the Lamia District didn't take long, but it was still nice to look out the window and see the ocean all around them. The sun was out and not too long in Koru had caughten site of some Wingull flying overhead. She perched up in her seat more and leaned on the window sill with Cyndaquil doing the same. Besides fire type pokemon she really liked watching pokemon up in the sky, it was almost magical seeing them up there. Well, now that she had Fletchling maybe she could fly up there with it one day. Ray could probably do the same with whatever Rey evolved into, hopefully it would become fluffier with that change. She caught sight of the station coming up and plopped completely onto her seat,”Alright we're here! See not long at all!” Approaching the station she began to think about where to go. As he said before at the campus station he had no idea where to go. She barely did too but she had an idea pop in her head. She remembered that little cafe she had gone to after arriving and it had the best kebabs she had ever had since her dad's homemade ones. When the train came to a stop she stood up and Cyndaquil took his place on her shoulder and she skipped out and jumped from the exit and onto the platform. She stepped away a little bit more then waited for Ray to get off the train as well. When he did she reached out her arms and presented the scene of the district to him, since he hadn't really seen it,"Welcome Ray and Rey to the Lamia District!" Cyndaquil did the same gesture but only reached out one of his nub arms,"Quil quil da!"She then put both hands on her hips and looked around, it didn't seem that busy at the moment, which would mean less crowd for them to get through. She turned back to him after making this observation,"Since you haven't been around yet I have the perfect to go if you want. There's a cafe I went to when I moved in it has really tasty food and great pokemon friendly options." She pointed down the center street that started at the end of the station platform,"It's right down that way." The cafe sounded like a good idea. For someone like Ray she knew that a big 'ol bustling place wasn't a good choice, and it also had those kebabs...those were probably on her mind more than anything now. If he agreed with her she would walk with him down to the cafe. Slowly though, she didn't want to lose him.

The train ride wasn’t that long at all, which was ok with Ray. He had only ridden the train maybe three times. He did live in Snowpoint city, so if you wanted to get anywhere you needed to walk or ride a pokemon to the location you wanted to be at. Trains were interesting, and you could see a lot from outside them. However, Ray didn’t know if her liked the train. He’d much rather walk to get where he needed to be. However, at this point of time he didn’t think much of it since he just didn’t care. He had bigger issues to deal with than worry about ridding a train. When Ray took another look, he noticed that the ocean was just outside the window. He was surprised to see it, but at the same time he should have expected it since he did know the location of this area. Ray had yet to actually visit the ocean or beach. He was always shrouded by gray skies, and a cold snowy landscape. Of course he didn’t hate it; he rather enjoyed it. Still it was one of Rina’s aspirations to see the ocean and actually visit it. It was his wish to as well, but he didn’t think he had actual access to the ocean yet. So for now he’d have to just accept that fact that he can at least see it in person. When he turned to look over at Koru, he noticed that she was eagerly looking out the window as well, but she was looking at the pokemon that lurked in the skies. Ray moved his head to watch, since Rey also seemed happy to watch the pokemon fly. He looked at the pokemon with sparkling eyes, his feathers puffing out. He chirped, waved, and then looked at Ray as he pointed with his wing at the pokemon outside “ruff rufflet ruff rufflet!” he chirped louder. Ray laughed weakly, “yeah, you’ll be able to fly once we get off the train… when you evolve you’ll have to take me for a ride, I’m holding you to that” he added.
Rey rolled his eyes, as if saying that taking him for a ride went without saying. His attention shifted from Rey back towards Koru as she stated that they were here and that it didn’t take long at all. He nodded, agreeing with her comment, before getting up slowly as the train stopped at the station. Ray then moved off the train, and walked over to Koru as she presented the scene to him. He blinked a bit, looking at the Lamia District. He looked back at her, as she stated that since he hadn’t been here before, that she knew a good place to go; rather she knew of a café around here. His eyes moved towards the area she was pointing at and he looked at her sheepishly “That sounds good” he said, a bit lowly. He was from a rather small town, so the crowd here was a bit unsettling. Usually he had his sister to lead the way, and constantly tell him that everything was fine, that this was an adventure. He walked closer to Koru, after all he didn’t want to get lost in the busy place. If he did, he may never find his way back to campus.

Upon their arrival at Lamia Station, Tera took the time to release her Pokemon from their Pokeballs. They had been in there for almost the whole day after all. Tera shook her head when Marcus had asked her if she knew a town in Sinnoh. She wasn't all that familiar with towns in Hoenn, let alone towns in other regions. She did find his family's schedule interesting as it was different from her own family's. She couldn't relate with him taking care of his younger sister though since it was the opposite in most cases. "Hmm... Well usually only one of them do." She paused as her Natu made himself at home on top of her head while her Charmander glance at her. "Both my parents are researchers that make their own hours?" The girl was too sure about that part. "One usually works in the morning and the other at night so that me and my sis weren't ever alone. And then they'd switch the time of day depending on the research they did." That part she was sure of. Apparently her parents couldn't rely on other family for help.
"It's Japanese right? What's the formal way to say mom?" Tera had to think for a while; she knew the word but since she had only used it once resulting on a really, really long lecture on why her mother disliked being called in such a way(most of it she forgot, but the feeling of sadness was not), she'd rather not use it ever again. "Err... I think it was Hahaue?" After a good stretch of her legs and arms the girl was ready to go the cafe! Question was... did she know how to get there? "Meh. I'll figure it out~" She thought out-loud. "Sorry ta keep ya waitin' Marcus... Ikuze(Let's go)!!" She said as she started marching along a certain direction.

Marcus listened as Tera described her parents, he wasn't sure what to say. He couldn't say he and Tera lived the same lives..he and his sister were usually alone..or at least they would be if it wasn't for their grandparents. "My grandparents used to come stay with us, but they stopped when me and my sister started school" he supplied to the conversation. He wondered, passingly, what his grandparents were doing at this moment. The herb store was usually still open, so they'd probably be there, he wondered who was helping them now. It had usually been him. "Floaroma's a town a bit away from Eterna, which is where I'm from" he said when Tera shook his head.."there's like an entire garden full of flowers in the town itself..it's crazy." as he talked he looked through his phone..maybe he could find a picture of the flower fields somewhere "dad does some work in this refining factory north of there...that's where he was today" Marcus had sometimes tagged along with his dad, usually on weekends since he had school monday through friday. He had found Iron mining to be interesting, and liked asking questions about it but the real treat were the pokemon he could find en route to the town. Once his dad had even shown him a Buizel.
He looked up in interest when she said her parents had been researchers. "That's cool, what kinda research?" he asked actually interested. She knew by now what both his parents did, now he was interested in hers. He knew there was different kinds of research...although he wasn't familiar with all of them, he thought of Evelyn suddenly..wasn't she interested in research? He wondered what kind.
He listened in interest and was a bit amused when Tera couldn't think of the proper name for her mother but it didn't matter because now they were on their way
The loud whistle of the train was music to Faye's ears. She was SO glad to finally be off Campus. It was surprising how much she'd missed the hustle and bustle of civilized areas. The Academy was nice enough, but nothing beat the hard concert streets of a well established bistro or a row of spotless windows to peer into. Smiling to herself, Faye practically skipped into the train that waited patiently for passengers to board. Amirah, not quite sure how to handle this massive metal monster, stayed glued to her Trainers heels. The Eevee's ears were constantly swivelling and her eyes were wide as she tried to look everywhere all at once. Faye found an empty seat and waved to her short haired companion, "Over here Ava...I found us a seat." Amirah curled around Faye's feet, shaking in nervousness and mewing to her Trainer for comfort, "Eewee...." Faye rolled her eyes, not in the mood for her Pokémon's neediness and not understanding that the Eevee was frighten of the mechanical train, "Oh knock it off Amirah. You're acting like such a baby."
The doors to the train slide closed as the railway started to move. Faye looked out the window excitedly, smiling brightly at seeing the Lamia District start to appear. It looked very modern. Painted stores and canopied vendors on the streets, as well as a host of people out and about. Faye could hardly wait to start exploring. At least she was...till she remembered that her Father credit card had been taken from her right before she left Olivine Town. Her heart sank a bit at the memory. That meant she didn't have any money to buy any of the items in town. But that was fine, she bet she could still have fun. Turning to Ava, Faye practically bounced in place, "So I was thinking Ava. I know we can't buy anything, seeing as the Academy gives us everything, even though it is poor quality and lacking in any form of style. But I've always like window shopping and trying on outfits, just to see what they look like. And the staff of the stores always give you lots of attention. Would you like to try that? Or maybe we could grab a Latte at one of the cafes. Those are always good to. What do you think?" As Faye finished speaking, the train pulled to a stop and the doors opened, letting off people into the Lamina District. Faye stood up and exited the train after waiting for Ava and Amirah to catch up to her.

Ava's face instinctively scrunched up as the whistle of the train pierced the previously noisy air. The sounds of a city were something of a distant memory to Ava. She had only lived in bustling cities for a few, short years of her life. The rest of this time was spent in small towns near forest areas, for the most part. Though Fritz had taken this train in with Ava when she arrived on campus, the noise was something that still startled him, albeit a lot less than the first go around. It took a mere few comforting strokes of the finger for Fritz to be better about it. Ava followed Faye in, taking a seat beside her friend. As Amirah began to mew, Ava turned her attention towards the startled Eevee. Instead of comforting it, as Ava assumed to do, Faye told it to stop. Confused, Ava let this one go this time. People raised their pokemon differently, after all.
As the train moved its way through towards the mainland, Ava's eyes were glued in awe to the window. Not too many forests in sight, sure. But Ava was still absolutely excited to go see what the town was about! Every single city and town on the planet was a little different from one another. Different sights, people, food pokemon... It was a whole different world everywhere you went, and Ava was stoked to see it with her friend.
Faye began to ask about what exactly they wanted to do while in town, considering they didn't have money to buy new clothes with. It didn't really occur to Ava that she didn't have money to spend; usually, she didn't. She was only a child, so the money she used to get school supplies or new clothes was primarily her parent's. While doing chores helped bring in a small income, it took a long time to save for the things she wanted. As Faye finished, the train came to a stop and the doors opened. Making sure Fritz was still clinging to her shoulder - which he was - Ava stepped off onto the station of the Lamia District. "Window shopping in a place like this sounds fun. I would be up for that. Besides, I don't like lattes anyway." Coffee was something Ava detested. It was far too bitter and smelled kind of weird. Her parents could somehow manage to stomach a glass or two, and got amusement out of letting young Ava try a sip. Never again!

Elaine rested a bit as the train continued to move towards their destination. Usually the view outside was breathtaking during the day if it wasn't too crowded. However, at night it was hard to see what was out there. Not to say the view wasn't just as nice, it was just that during the day it was a lot more lively than the night. At least that was Elaine's overall opinion. She stretched a bit as a voice spoke out, stating that they were arriving at the train station. So Elaine looked over at Eliza, who was sitting patiently next to her, her hands in her lap. The psychic pokemon smiled softly at her "I haven't been on the train in a long time, it's a nice change" she said, a bit happy. Elaine smiled "well I'm glad you like the experience, I really should bring you guys out more..." she said, whispering the last part. Eliza nodded "yes, I think we'd all like that very much" she said softly, before the train came to a halt. They both stood up slowly, before waiting for the doors to open for them. Once they did, they both stepped out before walking away from the train and towards the exit. Elaine would have to come here more often and let her pokemon experience the town during the day time. For now though, Eliza was the only one she could let out at the moment. So they left the station and headed for the town square.
