After some debate, Theo decided to stay in Vaniville for a bit. There were two other Pokémon he coukd catch here, so he he wanted to do so. He heard information was only fully recorded in the PokéDex if the Pokémon was caught. Which actually seemed troublesome, because some Pokémon evolved into different ones depending on gender. Like Kirlia, Burmy, and Snorunt. So, he had a lot of catching and evolving to do. But, he'd definitely get it done!

The Fletchling was defeated with one use of Scratch, and Theo smiled a bit. He got the feeling Pokémon in Vaniville were weak, but it was a good thing they weren't too strong, right? Otherwise, it'd be difficult to send Olivia out to battle."I hope we get to move on soon....I'm sure Olivia could use stronger opponents."

Theo somehow ended up carrying Olivia as they sat and waited for Pokémon to battle. It was fine; Theo certainly wazn't going to complain. But, he was wonderig if she even wanted to battle. He hoped he wasn't forcing her.

Sitting there in front of Sycamore's lab, Theo looked around and watched the Vaniville citizens go about their lives. It wasn't a large town, so it mostly kids playing on the streets and women talking over the fences as they worked on gardens or cleaning their yards. It was such a peaceful town. Theo was temporarily reminded of how things were when he was younger, living in the castle with his dad. But, then he frowned and shook his head of the memories. Those memories only ped up to one result.

Theo's attention was snagged by the sudden appearance of a rabbit-like Pokémon that came digging up from the ground next to him. It was enough to make him jump away with a near heart attack. But, he relaxed after a few breaths and looked at it, as the creature stared back at him with a tilted head. What was it? Taking out the Dex again, Theo scanned the rabbit to learn what it was. "Bunnelby, the Digging Pokémon. It has ears like shovels. Digging holes strengthens its ears so much that they can sever thick roots effortlessly." Theo sweatdropped. This small Pokémon could break his legs without even trying. But, it was a Pokémon he didn't have, so he was going to catch it."Alright, Olivia, let's try catching it! Just, uh....Be careful. Its ears are powerful.""Fennekin!"Olivia jumped down and challenged Bunnelby to a battle, which it accepted without a moment's hesitation.

Watching intently as the ball shook, Theo was extremely excited when it pinged and went still. That was the second Pokémon he'd succeeded in catching! Olivia jumped over to the ball and rolled it over to him with her nose, yipping excitedly before her fur fluffed and then smoothed out again. What was that about? Was that what happened when she got stronger? Dominick stiffened and the fur on his neck puffed up when he got stronger....So, each Pokémon expressed it differently? That was so interesting. He'd have to keep an eye out then.

Theo decided to headed to Aquacorde again so that he could have Elliot and Vin, his newest addition tothe team, treated. He felt awful leaving them unconscious in their Pokéballs, and he really wanted to meet them. Returning Dominick and Jesamine, the blonde-haired prince picked Olivia up again and left Vaniville, walking the short road to Aquacorde quickly.

As the train arrived, Dot and Shroomish both gently coaxed Marx awake. The brunette shook his head as he stirred, opening his eyes, then closing them in a yawn. He pushed himself up, smiling tiredly at his pokemon, then perking up upon realizing where he was. With a grin, he returned everyone, quickly running from the train and pivoting around once he was far enough, lacing his fingers behind his head. Huh... no signs of Alexandra or Cheria... Had... had they not got on the train? He paled a bit at the thought, but then relaxed.
They knew where to go. He would wait until he got a response from them, but in the meantime, it might be good to practice his Ranger work, and go meet up with Rose and everyone else. After all, he didn't want to keep them held up.
So, with that in mind, he opened up his holo caster again, this time sending a message to his redheaded friend. "Hey Rose! I'm in Kalos! I... I think I got separated from Alexandra and Cheria, my friend, but I told them where to go, so I'm gonna head over to Sellsage now! I think I should be able to find my way! Let everyone know I'll see you guys soon for me, alright?" With a grin, he sent the message, then started wandering, hoping to find a map or something of the region. He wasn't the best at navigating... but his pokemon could probably help him!

It wasn't too long after starting off that Marx encountered another pokemon. He slid to a stop, blinking and almost immediately grinning, reaching for his pokemon Ranger gear. The Fletching chirped curiously, hopping around as he got ready, and then fluttering a bit as he tried to catch it.
And... failed? Marx's expression dropped and he tilted his head to the side, crestfallen at the defeat as his top clattered to the ground and the pokemon fewl off. He... he hadn't been able to catch it? Maybe he hadn't been trying hard enough...

Sighing, Marx swept up his Ranger gear, heading towards the exit of the town, looking down at it in confusion. He blinked, looking up as another pokemon appeard, and grinning. Undeterred, he immediately stepped back, preparing to catch the pokemon. He wasn't at all familiar with it, but it looked like another bug pokemon, and this time, he caught it! Maybe there was a trend? He grinned, letting the pokemon crawl up on his shoulder, and heading towards the next town.

The ride wasn't that bad. She was mostly alone in the car, except for a small family on the other end. So, she was able to relax. When the train reached Vaniville, Cheria got off and stretched. There was little time to waste. She hqd to catch up with Marx. How far had he gone? It had been awhile, and Marx was pretty fast.

This was almost more trouble than it was worth. Why was it so hard to get out of one town? It seemed to take forever. Hopefully things would go faster the closer she got to Cyllage.
