"More cotton spore.... things? Adios." Allen said as Zest sent it flying away with an Ember attack. They were slowly running out of time. With a quicker pace, the boy trekked onwards!

"Alright, let's get this over with" Connor smirked with air of confidence around him. He was determined to win this, preferably with a fighting type, but how many were around the meadow? Well, he was sure to find out soon enough. For the last Safari Challenge the teen participated in, he used Torchic so this time he was going with Asura, his Meditite. "Meddd..." she hummed, eager to begin. Connor lead they way into the tall grass, wondering what he might find.

Moving along, their next encounter was a Mincinno. The adorable chinchilla jumped in front of the boy and danced a little dance. However it was ignored as he kept moving along.

"Sorry little one." Allen said to the hopeful Azurill. No more babies for him. Zest was enough of a handful.

Then. Then it broke free. "I am going to dropkick your babies if you don't get in this ball!" Allen shouted, this time an Earthquake shaking the field! Come on! What was with all the bad luck? Maybe it was for all those snarky comments throughout the years? That one time he tripped his late father who was drunk and stumbling about? Too funny.

"Try to poison it! Use a Smog or some poisonous gas attack." Allen barked to his Pokemon. Beck rolled his eyes, letting out poison, sickening the Clefairy to its very core. Ugh. That was... so... she didn't even know how to describe that. She'd get her revenge on that gasbag one way or another or her name wasn't... um. Wild Pokemon didn't have names. Derrrrp.

Jumping up, Clefairy used Pound, pushing the Koffing backwards. He threw himself forward as she was in the air, using Assurance, followed by Tackle. They weren't going to let up on this monster. No, she'd be in a Safari  Ball if Lady Luck just shined on them for but a moment. But a moment. He didn't really care, Allen was competitive. Winning this would be awesome. Although, it was no shiny Pikachu. The boy would've rage quitted right then and there if he knew about that. Thank Entei he didn't. 

Gripping his second Pokeball, Allen prayed to Entei as much as he possibly could. If the legend could help out this once, the boy would just be set for a while. Besides, seeing Sub react to such a Pokemon would be well worth the trouble! He'd place her above his head and begin to poke him while he slept. The result? Probably hilariousness and a black eye. It'd be too worth it! A wicked smile went on his face.

With one toss, the Clefairy was hit in the head, getting a concussion in the process as she entered the ball. She fought getting captured with all her might! One shake. Drats. The Clefairy had never been in such a situation before. Two shakes. On no, this was it! She shook her arms, as if she was drowning. No way shed get caught! And...

Petrified, Connor stared in awe as he hid in the grass. Low and behold, there was a grazing Breloom. Exchanging a quick glance with Asura, a smirk formed on his face. "What luck and after starting our search late at that... Ok, let's move closer" he suggested, taking a step. However, the single step he took was on a small twig, its snap alerting the Breloom. It quickly raised its head and started looking around. After finding no threat, it lowered its head again to continue eating.

"Now!" he shouted, lunging at the Breloom. The pokemon quickly sidestep, as if it saw it coming and took a fighting stance. The dark haired teen hit the ground with a thud, somewhat impressed with the Breloom's speed. His distraction was enough for Meditite to use Calm Mind and buff up. Rising to his feet and backing away from the punchy pokemon, he'd begin giving orders to Asura. "Use Confusion!" Her eyes glowing a vibrant blue, the Breloom was suddenly surrounded in a pink glow and forced to the ground. "Breee!" the pokemon growled. "Heh, too easy. Hold it still while I-" Before Connor could finish his sentence, Asura was struck with Mach Punch from afar, causing her to release the hold. "Stretching limbs! Ah, I forgot about that" the trainer facepalmed. The psychic type was soon back on her feet so her trainer quickly issued the next command of Force Palm. She'd dash forward to strike Breloom, only to be fended off with another well placed Mach Punch. The grass pokemon had them on the ropes and decided to continue its assault by tossing Seed Bomb from above. "Toss them back with Confusion!" The bombs would stop midair and reverse direction back to their creator. However, Breloom punched them all out of the sky with Mach Punch and sustained little damage. "Oh man...this one's pretty good. Let's see...Ah! Use Mind Reader" Connor smirked. Asura would nod and stare into Breloom's eyes. Without hesitation, it charged in with Sky Uppercut but the trainer and his pokemon was ready. "Detect and Force Palm." Her eyes glowing green, she easily dodged the uppercut and struck her opponent in the chest with Force Palm. It was an effective hit in that it inflicted paralysis.

Staggering backwards, Breloom tried to regain its bearings but Connor wouldn't allow it. "Now, Confusion!" he commanded, with the high hopes it would stay down this time. "Breee..." it groaned, struggling to move under paralysis and the pressure of Confusion. The teen took this opportunity to toss a Safari Ball and catch the pokemon. As it was drawn in, both he and Asura watched the shaking ball intently.
