Reno should really be careful what he wished for, as the thug did indeed have a 'plan C' for his pursuers, or perhaps it was part of plan B, either way, the Ariados would unleash a Night Shade attack to consume a large portion of the tunnel in complete darkness, not even the light of fire would pierce the darkness. But if Reno's group was to still just run forward into the darkness they would risk meeting with his last defense, an Arbok which would lunge at anyone who got near.

"I'm fine." Kaya assured Keiko once he'd been cut free of the webs. He grabbed Ballast and held onto the little bug this time, not wanting to risk the little thing getting hurt.
When Ariados unleashed it's Night Shade, he stood stock still for a few seconds. "Think you could get that light going?" He asked of his Volbeat, whose nod that he would try was lost in the absolute darkness around them. The little Volbeat buzzed softly as he flew up just above Kaya's head and tried to spark his light into life. The most he got was a few flashes, however. The poor thing needed training. Tail Glow was still out of his skill range.
"Let me try something." Lykas suggested, having caught up just in time to be engaged in the darkness. He was starting to wonder if he should actually hurry sometimes. Pulling a Pokeball from his waist, he released Sphynx from her ball. "Roar." Was all he said. The result would come within seconds as the lioness opened her mouth and released a terrifying roar filled with an oppressive chi that should force her Pokemon foes to flee back to their Pokeballs or back into the wilds, should they lack them.

With Kaya no longer caught up on the web and Lykas coming to the rescue, Keiko waited for the two to be ready before continuing pursuit. She wasn't quite sure what that blaze of fire was that careened down the corridor, but she didn't want to mess with it.

The Roar would instill fear in the Ariados, however it was too far away to be recalled, so instead, it fled. As for the Pokemon awaiting in the shadows, it was too far away to be affected. Either way, the path ahead was completely cleared, as far as the Snagems knew.

Reno, feeling confident after the Roar attack cleared away the Ariados, rushed forward and proceeded to trip over the Arbok in the road, grab it by the body and ram the both of them into the tunnel wall. Realizing what the sudden burst of motion had caused, Reno proceeded to get a better grip on the Arbok and jerked his head, shouting "Run forward," to tell the others to run ahead, doing his best to pin down the Snake Pokemon. Leslie and Church would rush past after the Rocket, but Nova decided to hover back in case her trainer needed more help with this Pokemon.

The Arbok wasn't shocked by Reno's heroic strength, but rather it was taken by surprise that a puny human human dared to grab a hold of it like that. With a quick whip of its tail, the mass of muscle quickly took hold of Reno, its grip more than capable of overpowering and constricting the human. Arbok wasn't stupid though, it knew the human's own Pokemon would save its trainer, so it had to take care of it before it took his meal away from it. "Bok!" It hissed as it cast a Glare at Volcarona.
As for the Rocket that got away, he quickly found his way into a hole in the tunnel walls. Should the Snagems find their way to this place as well and entered, they would find a separate tunnel dug out alongside the Underground Path's length, however much more slim, and lined with explosives. The Rocket went to work on preparing the detonator as quick as he could before anyone could stop him.

Kaya headed off after the Rocket once he was freed from the webbing. With Reno keeping the Arbok occupied, he was able to escape from it and the now absent Ariados, catching up to his prey quickly enough to see him duck into a hole in the wall.
He ducked into the crevice after the man, stopping for a split second when he saw the amount of explosives in the rough-hewn tunnel. "Primrose, use String Shot!" He called out as the dual-type Pokemon ducked into the tunnel entrance. Primrose nodded and spit several strands of thick silk at the Rocket in an attempt to bind him before he could cause any more trouble.

Keiko followed close to the two, and relaxed when she saw the enemy in his silky prison. Rita, however, thought this would be the perfect time to pull a prank. After making sure her mistress wasn't watching, the Gothita snuck over to the black-clad trainer and started Tickling him like crazy.

The Rocket was ensnared by the String Shot, unable to move, he snarled angry. "You can stop us! Besides, the explosives are- haha!" He began to laugh as the Psychic type tickled away at him, turning the man into a being of pure evil into a giddy child. "Stop! Haha! You don't- don't know what you're messing with!" He continued to laugh. "We'll all-haha-die!"

Leslie found herself following behind to see the explosive lined walls before getting and killing an idea. "Any attempt to remove currently would likely end with us made into chunky salsa.Best to simply hack detonator and send a kill signal to the triggers to short them out. Care to take care of it Church?" Leslie ciphered out, staring at the detonator the Rocket had previously been working on. Church simply buzzed in the affirmative and dove into the detonator, attempting to find a way to possibly prevent detonation.
With Reno, Nova withstood the Glare to the point of holding ground, but remained unable to attack the Arbok preparing to eat her trainer. The focus the Arbok placed into this move allowed Reno the freedom to maneuver one arm free, throw a Pokeball and clamp his hand over the Arbok's mouth. "Listen ta me, you crazy snake. You can take a bite out of me but I will survive to punish for that maneuver, as will the Volcarona and new arrival in this tunnel. And you won't be able to defend yerself. I see three choices: you can try ta eat me, try ta attack a Pokemon or run. I already explained why one is stupid, the second is equally stupid, with the third being the only one ta guarantee survival. Take your pick." Reno calmly spoke to the Pokemon attempting to constrict him, his eyes darting over to see he had managed to send out Tsuki. Well, at least he hadn't thrown Snips into this volatile situation.

The device its self was nothing more than a re-purposed Pokegear, crudely modified with only three numbers on the call list, each of them unlabeled. It would be safe to assume that one number was for the detonation, another perhaps to disarm, and the third...well, who knows what the third was for but it was obviously the most frequently used so it's obvious that it wasn't the one they needed, perhaps. Perhaps Church could decipher which was which in enough time, which was only seconds left before the Pokegear automatically dialed the number to detonate.
As for the Arbok, it simply hissed in response to Reno, and then soon becoming eerily still. Reno might find his grip to be suddenly superhuman as the Arbok literally caves into the pressure, revealing it to be nothing more than hollow skin. The Arbok had escaped it would seem with its Shed Skin ability, fleeing into the darkness.

Keiko had no idea what to do, so she let Leslie handle the bomb problem. She'd have Rita help with Arbok, but the Gothita was otherwise engaged.

Kaya wasn't sure what to do here. If these explosives were already armed, they were screwed unless that Porygon was able to disarm the machine.
"I don't suppose drowning them all would make a difference, huh?" Lykas asked as he released both Mykel and Chinami from their Pokeballs. "Chinami, use your Water Pledge. Soak down everything in this tunnel. Mykel, if you sense this stuff going off, Teleport every ounce of it as high into the atmosphere as possible."
Chinami nodded and summoned a tower of water in front of her. The water hit the tunnel ceiling and created a powerful spray that would soak every bit of the explosives in the tunnel. "I'll try, boss but I can't promise I can do that. There's a lot of it here." Mykel said in response. He might need help from any other Pokemon here that were capable of Teleportation.

Church stared into the code of the device, examining the three numbers it contained before noting the one frequently used number and returning to focusing on the other two. Deciding to commit to another idea rather than await the auto-dialer to show which number and trigger the other one before it finished, the Porygon hunted through the data before discovering the program for the dailer. Digging into its code and finally finding the phone number it would dial, Church rushed back into the outer layers of the operating system before finally activating the disarm number. Hopefully this would be the thing to do it and save them all.
Another teleporting Pokemon appeared to assist Mykel in the form of Kaiden, the Kadabra having managed to finally locate the entire group. The assistance rendered would hopefully allow the explosives to be removed if the trigger occurred. Of course, Reno appeared at this moment to state down the scene, unsure how to react at the moment beyond returning Nova.

The Porygon succeeded, the explosives were deactivated, and now very wet. "Phew...they didn't explode...I mean, curse you!" The Rocket sneered with a scowl. "This isn't over! Not by a long shot! You just made the an enemy you can't beat! Time to blast off!" He shouted as loud as he could, an Abra quickly appearing to teleport him away. Mission accomplished it would seem.
"Report back to headquarters, the self proclaimed great leader awaits you there." GRAY notified the Snagems.
