Sherry felt like her heart stopped beating when she heard someone call out to her. She whirled around, looking like a deer in the headlights as she held her violin case close to her chest, her one item of salvation should this be an attacker. Taking a moment to see it was just another woman, she relaxed her grip, putting a hand to her chest as she quietly sighed in relief.

Sable smiled faintly as she approached the woman. She didn't look like she'd be much help if they were attacked by criminals or whatever else there may be, but it was soothing to know she wasn't alone. As she got a better look of the girl she actually reccognised her. "Wait...aren't you that girl that preforms in the park?" She was rather talented, and Sable had stopped on more than one occasion to listen to her play.

Sherry seemed to scrunch her face up in uncertainty, as though she were trying to figure something out. Eventually she bent over to lightly set her violin case on the ground beside her feet before digging into her pocket for something. From it she procured a pencil and a small notebook. She flipped to a page that had been dog-eared like so many of the pages before it and hastily scribbled something down before turning it around to show Sable what she'd written as she smiled sheepishly. 'Yes, although that's mostly just for practice when the weather is nice. I'm sorry for acting so startled before.'

Sable was a bit confused by the girl's actions. Why was she writing this out when she could just speak? Sable was curious, but for the moment asked nothing. "Don't apologize. This part of the city is pretty frightening." Not just during the night, either. This wasn't a pleasant neighbourhood by any means. She heard stories all the time of people being robbed or murdered in broad daylight.

Sherry bit her lip at wrote something else down. 'This may sound like an odd request, but would it be alright if I walked with you for a bit?' she looked uncertain as she showed the page to Sable again, giving her time to read it before adding more. 'Normally I try to get home before the streets get empty like this, but some things came up...I'm not terribly fond of walking alone so late at night.' she smiled sheepishly.

Sable gave it some thought, but ultimately could not refuse. She felt it would be cruel to leave another girl alone in this kind of place, especially one as seemingly meek as the girl before her. "I don't see why not." She flashed the girl a smile before mentioning the apartment complex she lived at. "Do you live nearby?"

Sherry nodded and jotted something down. 'Yes, just a few blocks that way.' she flashed her notebook again as she pointed down the street with her pencil.

"Let's head off, then, before it gets any darker or creepier out here." Sable suggested with a grin, soon starting to walk in the direction of their homes.

Sherry smiled in relief, glad to not be walking the dark streets alone for the moment. She scribbled in her notebook one more time and showed it to Sable with a bright smile. 'Thank you so much!' she then stooped down to pick up her violin case, holding it in her arms now so she'd have her hands free in case Sable wanted to keep talking.

Trayden kept on walking until he was about to round a corner and started to hear a woman talk. At first, he thought the woman might be talking to herself but when he looked around, he saw there was another. Taking note that there were two women there, he set off toward his destination. Of course, his phone had to go off again. He muttered a cuss or two as he pulled it out and saw it was the same friend. "Hello?" he paused and waited for an answer. It wasn't the voice he was expecting and what little color was in his face drained as he nearly dropped the phone. So much for getting what was needed. He flipped it shut after hearing the voice and fumbled to put it back up. "Jeeze, the one time I go out as an errand boy and the idiot gets himself killed," he said loud enough for anyone nearby to hear, including the two ladies. At this point, he didn't care. He was halfway home anyway.

Just as Sable was about to reply to the girl, she heard the voice of a male nearby. It nearly made her want to jump right out of her shoes in surprise. With no small amount of fear she tried to glance over, only to see it was some suspicious looking dude saying something creepy on the phone. Not daring to speak up, she glanced worriedly at Sherry before trying to lead her away from the scene as quickly as possible without drawing attention to herself.

It wasn't until he looked down the street that he realized he had talked as loudly as he had. Blushing a little, he continued toward his home, trying not to come across as some random creepy guy that just happened to appear out of thin air. Then again, two ladies walking down this street at this time of night? Unless they had some other company with them, then they weren't exactly safe. "s**t... so much for keeping some distance from girls tonight," he thought to himself. "Sorry if I scared you. Some stupid prank caller thought he could get me," he said as he stopped. He had already taken three steps from the spot where he got the call. If they acted like they were going to attack, then he really shouldn't be surprised. After all to them, he just happened to appear out of nowhere. Of course, it didn't occur to him that there may be someone else hiding somewhere.

Ren was most definitely suspicious of the mute, if only because the evening was getting darker, and the amount of creatures, especially disguised as humans, were creeping around. He stood in complete silence in the shadow of a building at the end of the opposite block, Sable only a few hundred feet away from him. Stalking had become a sort of hobby, so he knew his place was not to attract attention unless this mute girl posed harm to his Sable. The only thing that bothered him at this point was that he couldn't figure out what she was writing. He couldn't peek to see what their conversation consisted of, lest he be caught, so he ultimately had to rely on the one-sided verbal part he could hear.
His hand dug into his pocket, feeling his phone vibrate again. He couldn't decipher if it was his sister or his organization, but he didn't want to pick it up just yet. No, he had to make sure Sable went home first. It was selfish of him, yes, but this is an obsession we're talking about. He didn't think twice about not picking up while Sable was around. He was rather lack of rational thought.
A man's voice was what troubled him. He grit his teeth, listening to the man talk loudly on his phone. He must've noticed Sable and the mute girl because he could hear him walking towards them, mentioning their safety. Ren was in charge of their safety really, there was no need for this stranger to be concerned. Alas, he could not make himself known though, and was forced to bear the pains of being in the shadows. This pervert was probably stripping Sable with his eyes this very moment. Ren was getting antsy, but he chose to remain by the building.

Prank call? Somehow, Sable highly doubted that. You don't mention 'some idiot [getting himself] killed' because of a poorly timed prank call. Still, calling the man on his obvious lie seemed rather unwise. So instead, she offered him as polite a smile as she could while she replied, "Please pay us no mind, sir. We didn't hear what you had said, so there is no need to worry." A blatant lie for a blatant lie, but hopefully it would satisfy him enough that he wouldn't bother following after the mute and her as they headed home. Well, Sable was heading home as quickly as she could, making not so subtle gestures for Sherry to follow and (hopefully) stick close. The man might or might not be dangerous to her, but there was no point in taking any risks this time of night if she could help it. It didn't help any that she just couldn't shake this feeling of being watched...

Sherry fidgeted nervously, adjusting her hold on the violin case in her arms every so often as she hurriedly followed Sable, clutching her small notebook tightly in her hand. Her eyes glanced back toward the man though she didn't turn her head back to look at him to make it obvious.
