Hal placed his hand over hers on his arm as he lead her to the door, "There is nothing I need that time won't give me soon enough. Just seeing you to somewhere you'll be happier will be gift enough for this old demon's heart," he assured her.
Gypsy interrupted them from the office door on the third floor, though, "Tell Sebastet I said hi, while you're there," she called out then disappeared right back into the office to finish her coffee.
Hal just shook his head over it all and lead the girl through the door without a reply, knowing Lareth was going to have to do something about his sister-in-law soon or she was going to drive everyone nuts...
Once outside, he simply held up a hand and formed a portal for her to Vampire Island's Forest, "That's the forest on the island. On one end is the castle where you will find plenty of people to meet. The other end of the island holds the village with shops galore in the market. Enjoy yourself, Miss Aaron. Whenever you're ready to return here, just speak to Miss Sebastet about it," he told her, knowing she'd enjoy the island alot more than here.

Gypsy swore colorfully when she brought herself and Kael back, but not in the place she'd been expecting. He really needed to go to the main castle, not her tower.
She finally took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, "There's a guest room upstairs. Or you can go grab one in the main castle. I'll head over there in a bit to talk to Lareth. Have to unpack first," she stated as simply as possible then headed on up to her room on the second floor.
The guest room was on the third floor, across from the office.
While the place actually looked like a home now, instead of a military barracks, it wasn't too hard to figure out that someone else had done the decorating. Most likely Hal, Lareth's steward.
She walked into her bedroom and put both bags on the bed then started unpacking them. Leathers went into the closet and dresser, weapons went on the wall. She moved into the attached bathroom and checked it over then headed downstairs to make herself some coffee, clearly intent on ignoring Kael as much as she could.
However unsuccessful she was at it right now. In such close quarters, it was hard to avoid feeling his aura. Especially with as powerful a demon as he was.
She felt her demon stirring again and did some slow breathing in the hope of calming it again.
While Vince had helped her control her demon while she'd been back at Sebastet's, she didn't have anyone here to help. Aside from Lareth. He just put the demon in a proverbial box, though. Not that she minded that. But when it stirred inside of her, there was little that would contain it...

Kael Kinrath
All that's needed is a drop of....blood
Race: Demon. Mood: Bored/looking for something or someone fun. I am with: Myself, naturally My theme at the moment: Riot
Kael blinked rapidly, unaccustomed to that kind of travel after so long. He quickly regained his cool demeanor and strode around the room, looking at the decor. The Demon Lord was amused at the homey atmosphere, knowing Gypsy could not have made it so.
When she returned from her unpacking, Kael was seated by the fireplace, still smoking his pipe which gave off an aroma of Irish creme and brimstone. He watched her move around with a look of a predator in those silver eyes.
"I'll wait to see how Lareth reacts to my being alive. I might have made a very convincing scene of my supposed death those many centuries ago. He might not even recognize me with this stubble and new tattoos, though you clearly did." He had a whimsical, devil-may-care tone. It seemed that his centuries of wandering had made Kael a slightly less cynical, more laid back man. Appearances, however, could always be deceiving.

Gypsy gave a small shrug to him as she brought her coffee cup into the sitting room with her, "Your energy hasn't changed. Don't worry, though. He'll remember you soon enough when you do go see him," she told him simply as she moved to the table beside the door to look at her messages.
She still hadn't changed out of her dark brown fighting leathers or removed her sword and daggers. She was just too used to wearing them, she guessed.
She frowned at a few of her messages and picked them up to take them upstairs, "Have to reply to a few of these. Sorry the place isn't entertaining, Kael. I only just moved back in. I'll see about cooking something later," she gave a frown over that as she moved up the stairs to head for the office and sat behind her desk, not sure why she was explaining herself to him.
It really didn't help her composure much when he was still that temptingly good-looking and that powerful. She and Vince hadn't made any commitments to each other, just keeping things as friends with benefits. But that didn't mean she was the bed-hopping type of personality. Most males avoided her because they were afraid of getting hit. The others avoided her because they were afraid of what she'd do in her sleep, not wanting to get stabbed accidentally or something like that.
Over in the human realm, she had to move around cloaked or she wound up getting jumped by idiots affected by her aura, or she wound up with the idiots following her around begging for one night with her.
All of this had started when Kaljire had brought out her demonic half. Her demon was a much older type, dating back to when the demons were a more primitive species. It made her demon more seductive but needing more dominance as well.
She lived for the day when a solution to having such an uncontrollable demonic half. But Lareth hadn't found a solution yet. Just temporary ones of 'boxing' her demon up for a while. No permanent solution yet.
If she were Mated again, there wouldn't be a problem. Her demon would be happy and content and under the control of whoever her husband was. Just as it had been with Kaljire.
But he was gone. Killed by Goh and sent back in little bitty pieces. Their rings were now sitting on the mantle above the fireplace downstairs in the main room, his still covered in his blood since she hadn't had the heart to wash it off yet...
She shook her head and deliberately refused to look at Kal's sword on the far wall as she replied to Galen over at the training fort, then Hal about accepting the new elf as his assistant, and finally wrote a note to Lareth telling him about Kael's arrival. All of them were easily sent off. She just put them into the box on her desk that automatically delivered them.
After that, she sat back in her chair to sip at her coffee for a moment, hoping Kael wouldn't notice that she was trying to avoid him. Every time she got near him, her demonic half started shifting and getting restless. For the first time in her life, she found herself disliking the fact that most demonic females required a more powerful and dominant male in their lives to keep their powers in check.
It really didn't help her that she had one right downstairs. And he was more than tempting on a good day... On a bad one? ... She was screwed...
She had to set her coffee cup on the desk as she got up to head down to her room to take a shower, hoping some cold water would help. She didn't look at him as she moved down the stairs to the second floor and went into her bedroom then removed her weapons and leathers before simply walking into her bathroom and starting up the open shower with cool water before taking her waist-length hair out of it's braid.
That done, she stepped under the water and hissed at how cold it was. But it was the only thing she could think of to get her demon to back off a bit...

Kael Kinrath
All that's needed is a drop of....blood
Race: Demon. Mood: Bored/looking for something or someone fun. I am with: Myself, naturally My theme at the moment: Sail
Kael knew she didn't want him here, at least consciously. He nodded when she grabbed her messages and headed upstairs, but didn't speak as he was staring at the mantle. When she'd left, Kael stood and strode to the mantle, where he found two rings, one smaller than the other.
He reached towards them, but stopped just before touching them. Kael frowned at the two pieces of metal, knowing what they meant to Gypsy and who they reminded her of. The Demon Lord had an inkling that the Hybrid was desperately holding on to the memory of a dead Demon who was likely better off forgotten.
That thought made him laugh. While he thought that her dead husband, Kal, was better off forgotten, Kael knew that Gypsy wished that he'd stayed dead and forgotten. Sitting back down just as she came through the room, headed to her bedroom, Kael puffed once more on the ornate silver pipe. He saw something in her aura that intrigued him and beckoned to his base urges. The Demon Lord realized that he'd been at least four centuries without the sensual touch and intimacy of a woman, and knew exactly where he could find such.
Hearing the shower in Gypsy's room kick on, Kael moved to the door to her room, which was cracked ever so slightly. The Demon Lord pushed lightly on the door and it swung open silently. Stepping over the threshold, Kael slid his leather coat off and let it settle on the floor with a soft thump. His worn leather shirt followed as he kicked off his boots.
He strode silently to the shower in nothing but his leather pants. Letting go of his concentration to tamp down on his Aura, Kael let it flood into the room. He knew that Gypsy would react in one of two ways; She'd either succumb to her demon side, or she'd try to kill him. Either way, Kael knew he'd be entertained till it was time to meet with Lareth.
"Gypsy...."
