Cynthia raised one eyebrow at the comment and offered him a teasing smile, "It takes more than a night of pleasure to keep me out for that long, Lareth. My survival has depended for it for such a long time... You know I've never really been safe...," she explained to him softly then returned to brushing her hair.
The ankle-length red locks were dry now and gleamed in the firelight, turning the color to something more like the logs in the fire in front of her. Her hair was auburn, a unique mixture of brown and red that that carried more red when she worked magic but looked alot more 'human' right now, however beautiful it was.
That against her pale skin with its delicate spattering of freckles across her nose and shoulders made her seem more delicate than she was, especially in this moment.
She finally set the brush aside and started to braid ehr long hair into a single plait as she stood and moved to stand in front of him, the towel barely covering her from shoulders to thighs, "Now then... If I'm going to be staying her for any length of time, I'm going to need clothes... Unless you just want me to stay here with only the towels and sheets?" she suggested, part of her wondering if he was going to try to limit whatever role she had here.
It was her way of asking how long she was going to be here. after all, she loved him, but he didn't necessarily return the feeling. Her longest relationship had lasted only a hundred years, the one with Hal. She knew that Lareth had never had a relationship that long, not even close.
Right now she wanted to reach a hand up to trace her fingers over his lips and get herself lost in him again, but she kept her hands on her hair instead, knowing that the braid needed to be done anyway.

Cynthia smiled and took the robe, sliding it on and the towel off before tying it closed around herself and moving to look out the window, "I've got my measurements, those haven't ever changed," she gave a small smile, unable to help it, "Although, with the attention you showed to detail last night, I'm fairly certain that you could give my measurements to the tailor accurately enough," she teased him just a little bit, knowing he'd like the comment.
She gave him her measurements anyway from memory and fell silent for a moment, wondering if she should ask about what was bothering her or not. Then she gave a small sigh and gave in, "So... How long am I going to remain here?" she asked him softly, her voice straining to carry it off as a common-place question though she knew it wasn't.
She told herself that no matter what time she spent with him, it would be enough because she would have had the time. But she knew she was lying to herself and hated it. She loved him enough that leaving him would break her heart, although she knew that in the end it would have to happen. She'd never had a relationship last longer than a few centuries, most lasted only a few weeks.
She knew she should tell him about what the gods had told her, at least in part. But she wasn't even sure how to approach that one. So she stuck to the safer conversation, although 'safer' was a relative term in this case.
She wasn't looking at him right now because she knew that if she did and he told her that the relationship wasn't going to last very long she wouldn't be able to hide how much it hurt her. And she knew how much he hated possessive lovers...
She licked her lips a bit nervously in the silence that followed her question, hoping that she hadn't screwed things up already. She wanted to simply fall into his arms and loose track of all time for as long as she could to avoid the answer to her question. She wanted to forget about everything but the two of them together... But she also knew that reality had to make a call sometime and it was better sooner than later, when she'd been with him long enough that she couldn't guard any piece of her heart from him...

Cynthia sat up and blinked a bit at Hal, trying to clear her head and focus on his words. Her long red hair fell around her int he process and showed just how disheveled she was going to be this time. Yes, it was very apparent that Lareth'd had alot of fun and then left her sleeping off the effects of it.
She caught the smell of something and closed her eyes with a low moan, "Coffee....," she said softly as she opened her eyes and turned her head towards the cart where the smell was coming from.
She gave herself a small shake and focused on what Hal had actually said to her and had to smile at him, "I'm glad you put some kind of influence on my clothes, Hal. I can just imagine the stuff Lareth would have picked out for me," she started saying as she looked around for the robe Lareth had given her yesterday, unable to catch sight of it just yet, "At least you know how much I like to be able to move around in public," she finished that one with a grin at him, remembering a time or two that had been very interesting indeed and had taken place in very public places.
But maybe it wasn't fair of her to keep remembering such memories... Surely it was unfair to Hal to keep doing so... But she loved those memories, they spoke of a very good, close and intimate friendship that had become so much more over the centuries. Hal had become one of the very few that she trusted, which meant more than even he could guess at.
"So, what have you brought me, Hal? Dazzle me with your keen designing mind," she changed the subject away from the past, just in case, and teased him at the same time so that the maid wouldn't notice it.
