Arkelos
Arkelos walks in upon hearing about the aftermath of the battle in Unova. "So me getting the tank for some leverage was not useful?" Arkelos smurked, "Not to sound rude or anything. I know i wasnt there while yall were getting clobbered."

Turning to Reno. "By the way brain boy, even though you knew it was me. Thank for not blowing my cover." He said pulling out a data pan. "Not sure if this will help with anything, but i was about to swipe some information." He continued handing it to the high ranks in the room.

"A word to the wise, just ignore him. I tend to. It's hard at first, I admit. You'll learn to tune him out." I made a hard sigh, rubbing my eyes. Of course, Black City. The only reason why Nimbasa looked all that promising was that it was a junction to virtually all places in the region. But no one really thought about that place, but more often than not that place is actually taken for granted. Hell, we did too. But something as a Zygarde being a living nuke? That's just a waste of what comes off as an invaluable constantly renewing resource. It still didn't make too much sense. One thing was right though; they needed to be routed out. I couldn't really comment any longer on that. Objective was clear enough; how to go about it was a whole other matter.

I perked up, looking back towards Arkelos. "Here, I'll take it." I said to look over the data, staring at it. It took over a few minutes to skim it over, but apparently it confirmed verbatim what Kess was saying all this time so far, not making my mood any better on the matter. "This is going to be a looooong skirmish."

Wren arrived in the main lounge at about the same time as Odd and Lykas, the trio looking around at the gathering of Snagems before Lykas and Odd spotted Kess. Neither felt she was a threat at the moment but Odd wasn't entirely convinced she could be trusted. Especially given the fact that he had taken to wearing Dull's old jacket lately. Something about it made him feel slightly better about flat out murdering the guy when he wore it.

Lykas, however, didn't care either way. "It sounds like Flare's setting themselves up for Ein to take them down and hog all the credit for himself." He spoke up, piecing together the story as everyone pitched in. "There's also a good chance that, in order to disguise their attack on Black City, they'll probably go after Castelia at the same time to distract their counters." Scratching at his chin a bit as he thought, he realized something. "The only way they'd be able to attack Castelia safely and still cause enough of a distraction would be to come at the city by air and bomb the city from above."

"That would cause widespread mayhem in the city..." Wren finally spoke up. "Burgh wouldn't be any good for stopping an attack on the whole city at once, either. He may be a Bug specialist but even he couldn't coordinate a swarm big enough to stop that kind of attack."

"He wouldn't need to." Odd contributed. "If this is Ein, we're talking about, he'll convinced Flare to focus their efforts on Black City. As big as Castelia City is, Black City and the surrounding White Forest have more useful resources to him and he wouldn't want to waste the energy on fighting for something he doesn't consider worthwhile."

"No, he absolutely would." Lykas countered. "Like Sub told me a few days ago. That's Ein's MO. He wants to completely destroy any hope there could ever be of stopping him or anything else. "

Kaya left the room in search of his old bedroom, hoping to find his stuff still there.

"Just as I said." Kess answers with a confident nod of her head. "The amount of time you all have, while short is still a bit. I would take the time remaining to try and prepare for the coming siege. Trying to assault Black City is going to take some doing, even with the help of your Indigo Alliance and Team Rocket... allies."

"Sorry, it was an emergency," I said rather off-handedly at Leon, not promising that it wouldn't happen again.

When Ulla explained herself, Keiko couldn't help it anymore and wrapped Ulla in a hug, though she let go when Ulla wanted to tell Sub that she had something to talk to him about.

I had no doubt in my mind that Keiko had thought about asking Ulla if she wanted be adopted by her before Leon came into the picture. But whether she wanted to ask that now, I wasn't sure. Though Leon inadvertently helped her out in that respect, things were still rather complicated.

"We may need even more firepower..." Sub mused aloud as he listened to Kess. "May be time to take more legends out of retirement." He said, looking at Blizzard. "Maybe get an old friend too. Get in touch with the alliance. See what the thugs are up to. I got work to do." Sub sighed before turning to Ulla. "What's up?" He asked.

"Hmmmmm, and i doubt a disguise would do me any good." Rubbing his chin. "What about a stealth mission? Would sneaking in the "back door" be worth a shot?" Arkelos said looking over the map. "It would not be easy, honestly i'm not expecting it to be."

Turning to Kess, "So how do we know you are not leading us into a trap?" Arkelos said glaring at Kess. "Listen, I'm not one for beating aroud the bush, nor will i stand here while you are feeding us lies." Arkelos' face grows grim, "I will offer this one warning; You hurt my friends. My family, if you give me any reason to think you will harm any of them. Snagem, the alliance; not even your previous employer will be able to save you." Arkelos said with grunt.

When Keiko hugged Ulla, she felt a little happy. She merely smiled under her breath. Leon watched everything unfold as he yawned. "Well. Looks like I'm gonna have to conserve all the energy I have left in me to go out to war." He said as he closed his eyes and put his hands over his head. "Hey, I know what your thinking. I see it in Keiko as well. Now, with me in the picture. It's complicated.....Right now, I just want my sister to be happy. I had my time with my parents. Raising Ulla, when I was just six. Wasn't easy. I couldn't give her the love a mom and dad could. But damn, I did my best." He said as he scratched his head. "I can see Ulla needs it. So does Keiko. But. That's all I'm going to say right now. Ultimately, it's Ulla's choice. I may be her brother and her legal guardian. But her happiness is up to her."

Ulla looked around as she waved him to lean down for her to whisper something. "I don't know if this will be helpful. But, uhm. I've been having these. Images. Pop into my head recently. I see Team Cipher, Lumiose City, and." She paused as she looked around to make sure nobody else was listening in. "A staff with this deer. A blue deer with long antlers."

Kess laughed out loud then, her beak opening up to show the first true-hearted show of emotion since arriving at HQ. "Eheh... excuse me." She says, regaining her former panache. "I don't mean to make light of your efforts, and I take your... threat seriously. But make no mistake, I have no reason to betray any of you. Plus, who said anything about me going out in the field? I have no qualms with Flare. I'll sit here, in your plush HQ while you guys handle that war thing. It beats going back to Ein and getting vivisected."

"Cipher, Lumiose, a staff, and a blue deer...odd. Only blue deer I can think of is..." That's when the connection hit him. The siblings, one with a Poison affinity, the other...then there was how long her Riolu fought off shadowfication. "Kaya, come touch Ulla on the shoulder. " He instructed. What was he doing?

Kaya returned to the main room when he heard Sub call for him. "Why?" He asked, at first, before a sudden sense of wonder overcame him. "You don't think...?" Of course he did. This was Sub, after all. The Klefki hybrid approached the small child and held out a hand, laying it gently upon her shoulder. Ulla might feel a strange sort of energy overcome her for a moment as time seemed to begin slipping by her, suddenly, the meaningless thing that it was seeming incapable of touching her as Kaya's Fairy energy seemed to decide to share itself with her of it's own accord.

"Oh ruffled a feather have I?" Arkelos laughed, "Now that i know your sweet spot, i can really give you a clipping. Hold still while I-" Arkelos stopped for a second. "My ear is twitching, Something is up." Arkelos looked back over his shoulder, "By the way, it's cute when you act like you're in control." he said turning back to map now infront of him.

"What are you doing?" I asked Kaya and Sub both when the idea was hatched. Then, Keiko and I both felt the energy. "You think she's a Channeler, don't you?" Keiko asked before the words would escape my mouth. "Probably runs in the family," I shrugged, referring to Leon. Keiko didn't realize the reference right away, however, and promptly jabbed me in the side with her elbow. "What?" I asked.

"Oh, wait, you... nevermind," Keiko said bashfully, realizing what I meant a little too late.

||Ulla and Leon||

Ulla was a bit confused as she saw Kaya come back to the group. She was about to ask what they were about to do as he put his hand on her shoulder. Suddenly, one of her eyes turned pink while the other stayed its usual purple. Her eye was showing her the location of some portal under Lumiose City to a different place. She wasn't sure where this portal would lead but then her eye went back to their regular color. She suddenly looked at everyone then at Kaya. "....What did you do to me?...Me?...A Channler? But how? There's no way." She quickly looked at Togekiss and Riolu who were just surprised as her. Riolu was even more speechless as he held Ulla's hand even tighter.

Leon noticed the commotion around Ulla as everyone was taking to her for some odd reason. He quickly got up seeing if something was wrong. "Ulla, what's-" Suddenly, he felt some sort of energy coming off of her. He stood there motionless, he couldn't believe it. He faced his maker. A destiny, even he couldn't really protect from. He knelt down to her level. "How long....How long have you been getting these images Ulla?" He said with so much concern in his voice. As this was the first time he couldn't hide his emotions from his laid back attitude. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Ulla looked over to Leon a little scared. "I've only been having these....ever since I first saw you. Big brother I'm scared. I don't wanna die. I don't want my Pokemon to die."

Leon quickly hugged Ulla as she was now terrified after what himself and Ter told her earlier. All of this realization hitting her now. "It's okay princess. Nobody is dying. Like you said, as long as you have your Pokemon with you and us. That won't happen. You hear me?" He said assuring as much as he could. Ulla nodded as she was able to calm down a bit. He then looked at Ter about his remark about it being in the family. "Is that even possible? Channlers giving offspring to channler children?"

I could only shrug. "No idea," I told him. The idea that I got my talent from my father was laughable. Then I though of my mother and realized how much sense THAT would make. "Could be possible, though,"

"Don't worry, you're safe here," Keiko said gently to Ulla, wanting to hug her but not wanting to get between her and her brother.

Kaya knelt down to Ulla's level and gave her a reassuring smile. Not that she would be able to see it through the expressionless keyhole mask covering his mouth. "You are what was once called a Changeling. A human child born with a rare disposition for Fairy energy. In the old world, a very long time ago, ordinary people would have been afraid of what kind of power you might grow into. You have nothing to fear if you choose not to nurture your gift, however." He assured the young girl. "You have an affinity. Perhaps it is genetic and perhaps it isn't. You may have at some point come across some magical artifact from the Fairy Realm that blessed you with this." He added as he stood up, the key ring on his left ring jingling as he did. "But what I know for certain is that if you choose to train your gift and learn to control it, you will most certainly become a Fairy Channeler." Perhaps a bit much to press upon a little girl but she deserved the truth.

Looking back down at her again, he smiled once again, his eyes showing the sincerity in it this time. "If you have friends and allies, though, being a Channeler isn't so scary from what I hear." He'd keep his internal decision to help keep the girl safe until she developed her powers to himself, though. He felt sure she would grow into them someday but for now, he would simply watch and see if she chose to come into those powers sooner or later.

Ulla looked at everyone as she looked at her hands. Riolu could only sense Ulla's aura. It seemed perfectly the same, nothing different. Was this something he couldn't tell? "...I don't know what to do." Leon let go of Ulla and ruffled her hair. "Listen Ulla. I promised. Mom and Dad that I would keep you safe and make sure, you grow up happy. I'm a Channler too. We'll be going through this whole process of being a Channler together. If you don't want to it's up to you." Ulla calmed down as she thought about it. "Yeah but....Leon. I'll be a Fairy Channler. You'll be a Poison...I'm weak against poison." Leon came to that realization as he sighed. "We'll make it work. But I promise I will not leave you again. As long as you need me, I will be right by your side okay?" He said with a smile.

Ulla stared at him for awhile and smiled warmly with a soft giggle. Leon chuckled as well as he messed with her hair. She then looked at Kaya. "...Okay. How do I train to be a Fairy Channler?"

Kaya paused a thought for a moment when Ulla asked about training. "Well, I would suggest training with Master Sucellus like I do." He started. "But that might not be so easy for you to do without an Artifact and a Pokemon to use it with." He thought aloud. "You may need to talk to Sub about that, first but I can tell you how to find Master Sucellus if you want to try meeting him without it. Actually..." He thought for a moment before he continued again. "If you want to speak with him before you begin, I might be able to escort you to the Fairy Realm with me." He gave it another moment's thought before speaking again. "Just be warned that time does not flow the same there as it does here." We could be gone for only a day in the Fairy Realm, and it could be weeks here in the Mortal World. Maybe longer." He warned the girl. "But the Fairy King could give you a much better idea of what it would take to become a Channeler properly than I can. He is one, after all."
