51-60: As you're preparing to run your net, you discover that the beach is swarming with spiderclaws. You decide the fish can wait, and instead, start gathering the shelled creatures. That's good eatin'! You are successful and able to bring back quite the haul! +15 points

Ninrenth smugly informed Fenowick that he, the great Ninrenth, had found a beach full of spiderclaws. It was the up to Fenowick to haul the lot back to the Weyr, which he did with great relish.
41-50: As you begin to reel in the net or line, you are overpowered by a strong wave, and your catch is set free. Shardit! That had been a good haul, too! Nonriders or riders without XP points, take -5 points. If you are a rider, your dragon is able to support you, and you manage to bring in a full net of packtails. Riders with XP points add 5 points to their total.

A strong wave destroyed any hope Tristram might have had of bringing back his haul to the Weyr. Alas, the healer was not cut out for this sort of thing, evidently.

Honestly, D'mar was just so, so tired of fishing. Smelling fish, eating fish, everything was just fish fish fish... if it wasn't thread. Still, it was almost worth it to see some of his friends and fellow riders getting knocked over on their butts by the waves as he dragged in yet another bountiful net of sharding, shaffing fish.

G'ar for one was happy to be back to the beach, doing his part and his best to help the Weyr do for itself. Nets to run and lines to cast, fish to scale and mouths to feed, and all that. It was just as he was bundling up one of the nets to take out for the day that he heard his dear, precious blue's voice in his head... from where he was wheeling overhead, he'd spotted a small beach cove utterly thronging with spiderclaws! It was short enough work to have them netted rather than fish, and they'd make for a nice treat as well!

1. Nothing but a flesh wound! It stings, but will heal within a sevenday.
Ah... shells. Well, it was one thing after another, and sadly not the first time L'an'd found himself letting a healer pack a line-sliced hand. In a week it would be just one more pale scar to match the rest. No matter, really... although it was a pity about the lost fish.

21-30: Well that didn't go as planned. You thought you were pulling in a whopper, but instead all it turns out to be is an ancient, slimey, and very unsalvageable boot tangled up with some driftwood. There's nothing edible about this--not even any shelled seagrubs. To top it off, any fishing you do the rest of the day will either result in no bites or catches. -15 points
...Ah. Well. A boot wasn't so good a thing to fish up. It probably hadn't been a good thing to lose either, for whomever had lost it (thankfully there was no foot inside the reeking, stinking thing), but... well, maybe the next cast he threw out would yield something better... Or the next... or the next... or the next...

Jacquol was going to bring in a net of fish if it killed her. She knew more of the sea than HALF these dolts, and she was NOT going to get tossed on her butt by a wave AGAIN...
...Thankfully, she was right, and THIS time, at LAST, she had the satisfaction of dragging a wet, flopping pile of fish to show for her soggy trousers. HA! Take that, SEA!!

3. The wound wasn't terrible, but it becomes infected! This will prevent you from fishing for a sevenday [skip the next week's rolls].
Ah... well. That was that then. It was a pity to have a wound get infected, but so it went. Infection... was a creeping killer. X knew that, perhaps, better than most. And their tiny green creeled so piteously, how could they help but... tend to the wound? Not let it fester when it began to throb and pound? Tiny as it was, there was a life depending on them, after all... Although it meant, of course, that they would have to take a break on fishing. Ah... well.

Splash, crash, there went Raen and there went her haul! The tall woman could do nothing but sigh as she watched the last of the fish swim swiftly out from the unleashed net, off to survive another day free of the Weyr's tables. It was a bit of bad luck, but nothing too bad really. Still, a pity—it seemed like the fish were getting smarter, almost...!

4. You head out with a few others to fish the deeper waters, and lo and behold, you successfully return with none other than a massive deepfish! It was a fight to catch, but outside of being covered in saltwater and seafoam, you're practically a hero! Deepfish! Deepfish! +20 points
If you are a rider, take your two highest stats. Whatever the total is, add those to the points you earn! 9+9=18
They'd been down and out, and missed a week thanks to some trouble, but there was nothing but determination in Ilauria's tiny frame to make up for it. Out into the deep water they went, out where the deepfish swam... And by Faranth, luck was with her and the others that day! With Ovshth (and another dragon or two to help) along to help drag it in, it wasn't quite the battle it could have been... but it WOULD be damn tasty eating...!
They had been doing well so far, even if K'bet had been a little negative about their haul, so it was with bright eyes and smiled that the man and his blue ventured back out to the lake.
Their good spirits didn't last long.
K'bet tended to flail with the net on a good day, and though it had always worked before, this time it caught around his body just as an insistent wave rolled in and bowled him over.
Rubiginth honked in alarm, splashing over to assist, but it just wasn't their day. Eventually, after K'bet had inhaled entirely too much seawater, they were rescued by riders who were actually competent. Following a checkup by an exasperated healer, dragon and rider were confined to their weyr, damage done for the day.

1-10. You don't know exactly what happened, but somehow you have wound up tangled up in a fishing net, out in the middle of the ocean. You thrash around and try hard to free yourself, but all you wind up doing is breathing in the salt-water. Thankfully, you're fished out by your fellows, untangled from the net, and dragged back to shore. Outside of being a little traumatized, roll a D4 to see what the results of your poor fishing happened to be!
You fall ill. Perhaps it was drinking too much saltwater; perhaps it was getting wrapped up in netting and wire, but you find yourself coming down with the sniffles, and then it turns into a full-blown cold. You wind up needing to be a few days in the infirmary, and aren't going to be able to participate for the next next sevenday. [-20 points, and character loses the next sevenday's roll (so skip a week)]
