Chuckling softly at the woman's obvious confusion to her talk of 'young ones', Eve glanced up to the tree and called softly, "Orion, could you come down here please?"
The Teddiursa in question looked up from his position in the tree to regard the hybrid before climbing down and curling himself into a little ball of fur in her lap.
"Most Ninetales generally live for several thousand years." Eve said with a nod, gently running her fingers through the young cub's fur, "And while I can't speak for the one residing here, as I've not known long enough to determine her age, I can say that I am not quite that old. In fact, I am only 16.

Heine blinked a few times at the Pokemon before releasing her two, a Houndour and a Poochyena. Though the two weren't a threat, they did regard both the leaf-woman and the Teddiursa curiously.
"Then I guess I should ask how long you've been sixteen." Heine chuckled, mostly at the fact that it was one of those 'only she would actually get it' jokes.

Eve stared at the girl for a moment, slightly confused by the question she'd just been asked. Apparently this girl didn't know as much about hybrids as she'd thought. Shrugging, the girl simply returned to petting Orion while keeping a close watch on the two pokemon that had just been released, "About seven months."

This caused the blond woman to pause in her snickering and look at her, blinking a few times.
"Then why do you talk like that old hag?" Heine asked, a bit confused now. The leaf-girl was younger than her and yet she talked like she was a couple centuries old!

"Can't say for certain, really," Eve said with a small shrug, "I've spoken like this since the day I evolved. Perhaps it's due to the wisdom I gained from said evolution. Or, perhaps, it's a result of my parents' teachings finally sinking in. They were very traditional folk, as are many others where I'm from."
"I do, however have a small question of you. Why is it you speak of the Ninetales in such a way?"

Heine allowed herself to flop down onto her back on the grass, looking up at the leaf-girl. After a moment, she shrugged a little. It's not like she overly meant disrespect to the furry chick, at least not at the moment, they just most definitely did not see eye to eye. Plus, she had really grated on her nerves yesterday.
"Guess we just don't get along ... at all." Heine stated with another shrug. Her Pokemon roamed around, Poochyena choosing to wander further whereas Doom, her Houndour, chose to inspect the Teddiursa that was on the leaf-girl's lap.

Trigramatic For a moment, Tails stood still. Took a breath. Wiggled his toes in the mud. Between electricity and the weight of his vest, Tails couldn't find an advantage that didn't involve completely overpowering poor Tristen. And it was hard to read just how tired the boy was. "I'm ready," he said, though still he had no idea. He thought maybe he could think of it on the fly. The only edge that Tails had on Tristen was experience. Tristen had only been winning rounds like he has, more than likely, was on unbridaled luck bound to run out. Only going on what seems like a good idea in a time of panic. Flash attacks and electrical attacks that only shrroud his body was only going to get so far. A limited move pool, let alone limited experience, Tails had him. Worse part, Tristen knew this. He almost wanted to say Tails was just trying to size him up before a very hard fall. What made Tristen cringe a little was the fact that Tails was expecting to make the first move. "Uh.....okay." He said, trudging through the mud as fast as he can, trying to get at Tails.

"Fair enough, I suppose. I've heard this one has a very hot temper," Eve said, watching as Orion cautiously sniffed at the canine getting closer.

Heine couldn't help the bark of laughter that erupted from her, causing her Pokemon to give her an odd look though she ignored it.
"Hot temper ... that's great. Ah that was really hilarious." Once she calmed down some, the blond woman looked up at the Pokemon that were sniffing each other, seeming to be curious.
"Doom won't do jack, if that's what you're worried about. Really, he's a puppy." Eventually she'd probably change that.

"Well, you can't really blame me for being nervous around him. I tend to avoid creatures with control over fire as best as possible."
She continued watching before slowly lifting the young cub from her lap and placing him on the ground to better become acquainted with the canine, "And hilarious as my unintended pun was, it was the best way I could think to describe her temper. She does like to use heat to get her point across to others."

The two women outside might find themselves suddenly accosted by the appearance of an Egg outside. It looked somewhat like a torch, though it appeared small for a Pokemon Egg. It was brown at it's base, with a layered looking white ring in the middle and red spikes forming over a black top to meet at the very tip of the Egg's top. It looked quite out of place. Moreso, it seemed to almost have a sense of pride and rebellion about it.

Heine smirked, nodding at her statement. Yeah, grass and fire never really mixed well together. Her attention was drawn for a moment when Poochyena snorted and darted quickly around in a crazy pattern. It took a few moments for the woman to realize that her Pokemon was chasing a Rattata. Shaking her head slightly, Heine looked back to Doom and the Teddiursa. Damn the little bear was cute, as much as she hated to admit it.
"Oh, believe me, I know this from experience. She likes to throw her weight around and make everyone believe that she's the boss. Chuck her in a lake and that'd put her fire out nicely." It was obvious that Heine wasn't exactly fond of the furry female.

"Avoid her. That's probably the best thing for this situation. Otherwise, you may suffer much worse than than a few mild burns." Eve spoke softly, her attention soon wavering to the appearance of the odd-looking egg.
Meanwhile, Orion continued sniffing very cautiously at the Houndour. Slowly becoming more daring by the second, he stuck out the paw not currently stuffed in his mouth and gave the canine a soft poke in the side.

Heine nodded though, once she looked at Leaf-Girl, she noticed she was looking at something and when the blond woman looked at what the girl was looking at, she blinked a few times.
"The ~/~ ..." She muttered, staring at the oddest egg she'd ever seen and gave a whistle to the Poochyena, earning her attention.
"See if you can round up that egg over there." She motioned towards it and the Pokemon looked over before looking back and nodding, taking off towards it.

The strange egg attempted to evade the Poochyena by falling over onto it's side. It wasn't very effective, however. It simply laid there as the canine came to retrieve it, though it's shell seemed to have an angry luster as the Pokemon returned to it's master with it.
