Though she knew he was joking, Olivia simply nodded her head in emphasis at Vince's question. "You know it. She sensed my motherly instincts, on top of the beacon, and just came in; she just got caught in your hair along the way." With her mind still on 'rescued pokemon' the pinkette tossed a glance over to Pichu, who had since abandoned its apple and was tweaking the strings of its ukulele with vested interest; it was actually pretty adorable. It had tagged along with her this far ahead, and it certainly seemed comfortable with her-- despite the brevity of their relationship-- perhaps she'd try to add the Pichu to her team. Olivia grinned in Vince's direction as he continued to recall their plans, then nodded once more. "Yup! Sky Pillar too, if we're able to find it," she confirmed.
"Aw, really? Why not?" She faked a pout when Vince insisted that there wouldn't be another night of drinking in their future. "I thought it was fun, and we got to bond." Even as she, gently, tried to persuade Vince to change his mind, she could understand his hesitance. The brunette had certainly drunken himself.. into a new personality, almost, and she couldn't imagine the hangover he'd experienced had been anything close to pleasant. Still though, Olivia couldn't help but grin when Vince agreed to take Haxorus on, as unorthodox of a request as it was, if she'd agree of course. "Thank you." With a nod the pinkette ran over her pokeballs lightly with her fingers before producing Haxorus' and releasing the dragon. The pokemon looked around blearily, still clearly not awake, and gave a yawn. Olivia produced a smile and gave a wave before she gestured to Vince. "Morning Haxorus, sorry for the... uh, early rise. I just thought I'd... give you an offer?" She wasn't quite sure how to word it. Haxorus looked on, drowsily expectant. "Would you want to become Vince's pokemon? He's agreed to take you in, and since he has experience and knowledge of working with dragons I thought you two would be a perfect match," Olivia explained, grin still apparent. Haxorus took a moment, giving yet another yawn, before eventually she shrugged and moved to join Vince by his side. "I.. guess that answers that," Olivia mused, afterwards handing over to her companion the pokeball she'd used to catch Haxorus.
Blue tipped his head to the side as he listened to Xiu Feng explain the duty she and Vince shared. ("Hmmm,") he hummed, thoughtfully, but eventually his tail began to wag. ("That sounds like fun! I guess, sorta!") He wasn't entirely sure why Xiu Feng had that duty with a human, but it reminded him of his relationship with his mom! They both kept each other safe. In the early morning sun Blue gave a soft yawn, and afterwards he shook his head, catching the look Xiu Feng shot Olivia in the process. ("Do you think she has something to do with your human's... acting weird?") he inquired, turning his gaze to the pinkette as well.

Still quite amused by Olivia's antics, Vince let the pinkette continue to insist that it was her motherly instincts that created a beacon for Xiǎo Lǎn, and that his hair just got in the way. "My hair huh...." He mused, tugging a bit at the start of a ponyta tail that fell over his shoulder. "Do you think perhaps I should get it cut....?" He asked, honestly curious. They confirmed plans for after Cyllage, though when Olivia suggested they write down their plans next time they went drinking, but Vince insisted that he wouldn't be drinking again any time soon. Of course, Olivia didn't like that statement, and expressed her disappointment. "Liv.... Please." Vince sighed. He really didn't want to talk about this. He should have just kept his mouth shut instead of commenting. "I'm sure it was fun, but I can't remember most of it, and that kind of defeats the purpose of bonding." He insisted quietly.
Wanting to move on from the topic, Vince encouraged Olivia changing the subject suddenly as she asked if he wanted to take on any more pokemon. He hadn't expected her to try and usher the haxorus that had been following them onto him, but he certainly wouldn't object to taking her on if neither she nor Olivia minded. The pinkette clearly didn't mind since she was the one offering, and when woke and prompted, the haxorus seemed indifferent to the idea, which Olivia took as a yes, handing Vince her pokeball. "Alright then Lǎn Jùrén.... Why don't you finish sleeping." He suggested, returning the Haxorus to her pokeball before making room for her in his bag.
Xiu Feng looked thoughtful as Blue suggested that her duty sounded fun. ("Hmm... I don't know if it's fun, per se, but I am proud to be Vince's partner! My family's been watching over his for generations!") She explained, though Blue seemed to catch on that she suspected Olivia was why Vince had been acting weird. ("Well.... Yeah.....") She admitted, frowning. ("I don't trust her. Vince has been acting strangely ever since they started traveling together, and I'm trying to go with Vince's judgement, but it's not really... In my nature to trust humans so easily....") She explained carefully. ("It's weird though, I mean.... She's not like.... Mean or anything... I don't think she's trying to hurt Vince, or would try to do something like that, but... Still....") Xiu frowned.
"Mmm." Olivia looked Vince over, his hair specifically, when he inquired about getting a hair cut. "You could," she answered neutrally, then shrugged. "I like it as it is now, but I bet you'd look good with shorter hair." Now that it was in her mind Olivia couldn't help but envision Vince with shorter hair, sky blue gaze lingering on the male a few seconds longer before she eventually looked away. "Alright, alright. I won't push it," she promised when Vince spoke up. He did have a point, she couldn't truly call theirs a bonding experience if he couldn't recall the conversations they'd had the night before. "Maybe the memory'll come back to you later on," she suggested, optimistically.
Olivia managed a smile as Haxorus agreed to have Vince take her in, though raised an eyebrow after the trainer had returned her. "Already have a name for her?" she asked, amused. "What's Lǎn Jùrén mean?" Pichu, in the meantime, had stopped fiddling with her ukulele long enough to observe the events surrounding Haxorus, her ears twitching thoughtfully afterwards. With a 'chu' she hopped from Olivia's shoulder to the top of her bag, expertly balancing herself atop it just long enough to get it open. She didn't get far, unfortunately, as a moment later and Olivia had picked the small rodent up in curiosity. "If you're still hungry you could've just said something, you know," she explained, frown settling on her lips. Pichu shook her head rapidly before she pointed down into the bag, prompting the pinkette to open it farther. "What is it?" Pichu squirmed out of Olivia's grip in the bag, and with quick movement grabbed onto the nearest, empty pokeball-- which resulted in a capture of sorts. Olivia watched, unsure of what to think, as the ball rocked a few times then grew still, Pichu popping out seconds later. Brushing herself off, and making sure her ukulele was still in perfect condition, she gave a satisfied 'chu'.

Don't you ever want to just... live alone, or out in the wild?") Xiu Feng had a weird family history, but.... he wouldn't judge her for it! Vince toyed with his hair thoughtfully as Olivia gave a neutral answer, suggesting that she liked his hair as it was, but that he would look good with shorter hair as well. He had seen a few barbershops as they traveled through Lumiose, but now they were almost to Camphrier, so it would waste time if he turned around to get it cut now. Perhaps some other time. "Alright, I'll leave it for now then." He suggested, letting go and putting his hands back in his pockets. When Olivia began to pout about the fact that Vince wouldn't be drinking again any time soon though, he grew a bit irritated, and Olivia got the message, promising not to push it. "Thank you." Vince sighed, explaining his point of view a bit. Olivia though, ever the optimist, suggested that maybe his memories would come back to him. "I'm afraid of that...." Vince chuckled. "I'm sure I did all manner of stupid things in that state. I think I'd prefer not to remember...." He mumbled.
Once Vince became the official owner of the haxorus that had been tailing them somewhat, he returned her to her pokeball. She had seemed disturbed from her sleep, so it was probably best to let her continue resting for now, though Olivia commented on the name he already had for her, and Vince shot Olivia an amused grin. "Lǎn Jùrén means 'Lazy Giant', I figured it was fitting, given her lax nature." He explained, placing Lǎn Jùrén's ball into his bag, though in doing so, he found a foreign object inside, a blue book that he didn't recall getting. He pulled it out, noting the large dragon silhouette on the blue cover. He looked up to ask Olivia about it, but it seemed the pichu wanted something from Olivia's own bag, and ended up capturing itself. "I suppose it wants to travel with you." Vince pointed out, watching as Olivia released the pichu again to check on it. "Hey Liv, do you know what this book is....? I must have gotten it at the fair, but I don't really know what it is...." He mumbled, opening it up and flipping through the pages to take a closer look.
Xiu Feng nodded as Blue asked about her family generations watching over Vince's, though she wasn't really sure how to answer his next question. ("Why....? Um....") That was a good question. ("I don't really know. I've never really had that urge. Sure I'd like to go explore new places, but I wouldn't do it without Vince. I couldn't imagine leaving Vince. I'd be too worried about him getting into trouble. I mean, he's helpless without me~") She stated proudly. That was her opinion anyways, though it wasn't necessarily true. ("I just.... I need to make sure he's okay.") She couldn't really explain it, they just had a connection that tied them together. ("Like, would you ever leave your mom? Would you ever want to just run off into the wild without her?") Xiu asked with a frown. Her parents had talked about something called imprinting, where a lupup or lunine finds someone, be it human or pokemon, that they feel loyalty to, and they imprint on that being, and feel attached to them. She had grown up next to Vince, they were partners, and she knew him better than anyone else. He was her world, she wanted to protect him, and be with him forever. That was what partners were for!
She couldn't say the same about any other human though, and she certainly didn't trust Olivia, but she knew the pinkette didn't necessarily seem evil either. Blue seemed to agree, reassuring her with some reluctance that he didn't think Olivia would hurt Vince either, especially since Licorice seemed to believe in her. Xiu Feng giggled a bit as Blue looked dotingly at his mother. ("Heehee~ You're so cute Blue.") She yipped. She certainly loved her parents too, but the way Blue looked at hi adopted mom was adorable.
Olivia quirked an eyebrow when informed that Vince's pokemon was part ghost, "a ghost and dragon type? Just like Giratina," she noted, the very mention of the legendary reminding her of Rose, the girl they'd met in Santalune who'd actually managed to catch the one; she wondered how she was doing. "Well, since it's capable of communicating with you perhaps you just need to give it time," she suggested, bringing her attention back to the conversation at hand. Elgyem, in the meanwhile, had since turned her attention from Vince and Olivia and was now staring intently at the few people they passed as they grew closer to the next city, catching small blurbs of the inner monologue going through their mind. As much as she would've loved to continue psychically feeling Vince out she figured she'd have a better chance at doing that when her presence had been forgotten.
The pinkette could only nod when Vince pointed out that the only ice/dragon combination that currently existed was the legendary Kyurem, a pokemon Olivia doubted could be attracted by a measly incense. "I'd probably need a bigger incense to have one of those appeared," she muttered, speaking her thoughts aloud. She eventually flashed a smile over at Vince, eyes sparkling with amusement, "maybe I'll do that next time and catch that for you." Of course that was a long-shot, nearly impossible, but she couldn't help but joke about the possibility all the same. Olivia smirked when Vince, awkwardly, thanked her, "You're very welcome," she laughed. They were certainly going to quite a few regions, or at least there was talk of doing so, and although she was just as excited as Vince was to visit a new region, she wanted to be careful about leaving her 'assigned area', hence her initial hesitance. With her thoughts revolving around her work Olivia only looked up when Vince made a comment, her gaze flickering upwards as they passed the gate into South Lumoise. "Heh, doesn't it? Though, technically, I guess we were." Now that they were in a big city again she made sure to keep an eye out for her other wandering pokemon, making sure they didn't go too far. "Yup, North Lumoise. It shouldn't be too long now," she answered Vince's inquiry, attention turning away from Licorice and Blue when she confirmed that they were still relatively close.

Vince shifted somewhat as Olivia compared the ghoizard to giratina, the comparison not sitting well with him. "Not exactly. My pokedex said it was ghost and dark type, which could explain its more malicious nature... It certainly has some draconic roots though, given it's appearance." He frowned. There was still something bothering him, something he couldn't quite put his finger on, as if he was forgetting something. "Maybe...." Vince agreed hesitantly at Olivia's suggestion that maybe it just needed time before deciding to communicate. As the subject moved on to ice dragons, Vince shook his head at Olivia's scheme of trying to attract a kyurem. "Let's not test that theory... We already had a close encounter with that giratina, we don't need to try and attract an overwhelming hoard of ice types, or an angry, giant, man eating ice dragon...." Vince chuckled nervously. Then again, he also possibly had the legendary tucked away in his bag right now, which really made him nervous. If his pokemon couldn't even stand up to a weavile, what chance did he have against a legendary ice dragon...?
He felt a bit sheepish that Olivia had noticed how excited he'd gotten over the book, thanking her since he didn't... Really know how else to respond. At least Olivia seemed to accept the response with amused laughter. Had Vince been aware of Olivia's struggle between duty and travel, he would have been more restrained about his ideas of going and exploring other regions with her, but as far as he knew, Olivia's occupation was simply a trainer and there wouldn't be any conflicts with travel plans. Speaking of travel, it seemed they had once again reached the gates of Lumiose City, and Vince joked about the fact that they'd just been here. "Were we now?" He teased with a chuckle, a touch of playful sarcasm in his tone, before confirming that the station was in the northern part of the city. "Mm...." He nodded. They were getting close, soon they would be in Hoenn. Vince actually felt rather apprehensive about it all, a new region he'd never been to before. He was certainly glad he had Olivia as a guide. "So, miss Hoenn expert.... What should I be expecting, stepping off that train...?" He asked curiously. "I think it would be wise to start the mental preparations now." Vince chuckled. He was at least self aware enough to know he didn't handle surprises and unexpected turns of events very well. Not to such a degree that stepping off into Hoenn would be overly shocking, he was mostly joking about the mental preparation. Mostly.
"Oh?" It was certainly a surprise to Olivia to hear that Vince's pokemon wasn't a dual dragon type, she'd thought he only worked with those types; though in his difference he did explain that the small lizard had draconic roots, so that was something. "So it's not just dragon types you use, but those also just related?" she asked, genuinely curious. In the back of her mind she wondered if the Ghoizard could evolve into an eventual dragon type, but with what little information Vince knew about it she realized her questioning would get them nowhere; they didn't even know if it even had an evolved form. Olivia turned to look at Vince and noted his frown, he was visibly upset by the whole Ghoizard incident. He seemed to cheer up, at least somewhat, once she jokingly suggested a ridiculous ploy to attract a legendary. Olivia laughed along with him, glad to see him relax just a little, before she rolled her shoulders and looked up at the air. "I supppoooose you have a point," she extended, amused. "Guess I'll just stick to picture books for now."
Olivia gave a mirthful smirk and roll of the eyes at Vince's playful sarcasm, but rather than comment she simply gave him a look before her thoughts shifted over to the next destination. She chuckled at the nickname given to her, 'Miss Hoenn Expert' certainly had a ring to it... "Mm, well..." she stopped to try and recall the atmosphere Hoenn had given her, and then tried to find the words to explain it. "The train will be stopping in Mauville, which has actually been remodeled in the past few years, a lot like Lumoise," she explained, noticeably brightening as she went on. Olivia's surprise was warranted, given that most of Vince's pokemon were dragons, though she soon correctly came to the conclusion that he didn't just use dragon types, but also those related to dragons. "Mm. I will train those in the dragon egg group as well, or those that have draconic roots. Just because a pokemon isn't classified as dragon type doesn't mean it isn't one. For instance, charizard is clearly a dragon, though it's typing is fire and flying. Granted, it has a mega evolution that grants it a dragon typing, but even if it didn't, I would still be willing to train one. Same with Lin Hua, being a dragon type only by mega evolution, she still belongs to the dragon egg group, and has draconic features." He explained. The ghoizard was a similar case, being dark and ghost type rather than dragon, but it still seemed to have draconic roots. Plus, it felt familiar to Vince somehow, and he wanted to ask his grandparents about it when he got the chance. However, he was more than happy to change subjects, asking Olivia about her incense and ice dragons. It was interesting that some Kanto pokemon had different forms, and it begged the question of what other differences were out there. Though it was somewhat disappointing that she found no other ice dragon, it wasn't surprising, given that Kyurem was the only dragon which matched such a description.
That being said, Olivia joked about attempting to bait the legendary with a larger ice type incense, which Vince was strongly against. Just thinking about the mess and trouble it would get them into... It would be like the distortion world all over again. Olivia at least conceded that he had a point, albeit teasingly. "Picture books sound just fine." Vince chuckled. He caught her eyeroll and smirk at his sarcastic comment on being in Lumiose again, and he couldn't help but chuckle, feeling a little bit satisfied. However, he was eager to know what to expect in the Hoenn region, referring to his 'expert' to answer his questions. Olivia looked thoughtful, pausing to recall information before explaining that the train would be stopping in Mauville City, which with it's recent remodeling apparently had a likening to Lumiose. "Is this true for all cities in Hoenn....?" Vince asked, frowning. He didn't see much of a point in traveling to Hoenn if it were going to be just like Kalos. There had to be more to it. Though, Olivia went on to explain that it was different, being sort of like an indoor city. Vince felt more confused than anything else. He supposed he could see the appeal, but personally it didn't sound very interesting to him. He was glad Olivia seemed happy about it though. "I see.... That sounds... Interesting." He suggested, trying not to ruin her excitement. No one liked a spoil sport after all.
Olivia nodded along as she listened to Vince, making a soft sound when he pointed out that the Charmander line wasn't technically a dragon-type. For some reason it had completely slipped her mind that, without a mega stone, Charmander never could take on a dragon typing. Odd, considering how that had been one of the first of Vince's pokemon she'd found out about. "You're quite the open-minded dragon tamer," she eventually concluded, teasing. It was nice to know this, or at least have this little fact clarified; little facts like these made Olivia feel like she knew Vince a little better.
She stifling a laugh Olivia gave a half sort of nod, "I'll keep an eye out for any bookstores we pass along the way," she mused. Or maybe she'd just check her Pokedex for more information on Kyurem, now that she thought about she actually didn't know too much information about the legendary besides the fact that it a beast from the Unova legends, and it involved DNA from some other legendary. Turning from the stuff of legends Olivia shook her head gently at Vince's inquiry, looking left and right before she started to cross the street. "Nope, just Mauville. The gym leader there, Wattson, was just inspired by this city," she explained. The pinkette looked over at her companion and snorted, his comment not matching up to his tone. Vince smirked lightly as Olivia suggested he was an open minded dragon tamer. "I'm not sure about that... There are even certain dragon types that I refuse to train." He suggested sheepishly. "You might be able to recall experiencing at least one of those exceptions." Vince's smile turned to a grimace, recalling how badly he had reacted to the mega ampharos at the renaissance fair. "Altaria and Goodra are two other dragons I'd rather not train. Altaria is more of a bird than a dragon, and a bit too cutesy for my taste, while goodra is...." Vince made a face and ran a hand through his hair. "Well I just feel like it would be messy, leaving slime everywhere. I don't have anything against the two, I just personally would not choose to use such pokemon." That was the best he could explain it.
He gave a light chuckle as Olivia suggested she would keep an eye out for any bookstores, leaving it at that for now and changing the topic to focus on Hoenn. He wasn't quite thrilled at the thought of more big cities like Lumiose, but Olivia reassured him that it was just Mauvile that had the feel, given that the gym leader was inspired to craft Mauvile like Lumiose. Not that Terrence didn't understand where he was coming from, and Terrence didn't say anything about the leaf that Az had used earlier to help him cool off. Terrence smiled as Az nodded a bit reluctantly. Terrence did feel bad to a certain degree, but he needed Az to understand that he wasn't a walking piece of glass. He was a lot sturdier than the little treeko thought he was. Though it was most likely Terrence's fault that Az believed that he was really weak. Terrence probably should have made sure to have been more clear when he was telling him about his condition. His thoughts drifted back towards Ezra, should he have told him what he was really doing? Was Terrence a terrible person, the guilt slithered back into his thoughts. With a shake of his head he decided to focus on the main thing he came to do, finding those eggs! With that he turned towards his team, with the exception of Ivy because she still seemed mad at him. Course she was. He sighed, not like he could do anything to change her mind at this point.

Terrence just watched Ivy separate from the group as she sat down at an area that was relatively close to them. He'd have to apologize, just not right now. He turned back to his team "ok guys, the second egg is in this town. Lets give it our all to find it ok? Sky found the first one, so lets see who can find the third one!" he said. The group nodded and fanned out, but this time Sky decided to use his head as a perch this time around. It seemed that she thought that since she already found one egg that her job was done this time around and she got a freebie to use his head as a couch. Not that Terrence minded, she did help out last time. Though this was going to be the only time he'd allow her to rest up while the others looked. Then again, maybe he use this as a reward of sorts? He'd have to think on it, after all he didn't want his pokemon to get lazy due to this. Maybe he could give them some food, or maybe a treat? Yeah, a treat sounds like it'd be a good thing after all.

Terrence based on the treat idea, Terrence noticed a small ice cream stall. He got a simple vanillite swirl, before glancing upwards at Sky. She seemed to be eyeballing the ice cream cone, to the point he was pretty sure she was doing her best not to droll all over him. He laughed softly "here, thanks for your hard work" he said softly, as Sky licked the cold ice cream. He was glad that Sky loved the ice cream, to the point she pretty much inhaled it. How she managed that, he didn't know. However, he did know that she had gotten crumbs all over him. Not that he expected anything less, but he was willing to put up with it as a reward of sorts. Terrence cleaned up and then went back out to look "ok no more breaks, lets getting looking ourselves too" he said, as he walked around and searched around the area for the egg. Where could it be this time around? Now that he thought about it, could there be some in any of the stores in the area?

Terrence thought about it some more, maybe the egg really was hidden in a store? Well it was worth a shot, this place was pretty big to begin with after all. So he strolled around, looking into a few places. Eventually, he noticed a stone store of sorts and walked in. To surprise him even more, he was apparently the 100,000th customer so they gave him a fire stone as a reward. To say he was at a loss of words was an understatement, he literally didn't know what to say. It was a fire stone for heck sake! After looking around and leaving the store, he noticed that Rava was nudging something. So Terrence walked over to see what the commotion was. Apparently there was an egg hiding in the corner behind a bench. He smiled, as he plucked the egg up "good work! We found the eff guys, so lets make sure to move on!" he said. His pokemon walked over happily, before Terrence headed towards the next egg location.
