Though normally the thought that having the hidden Darkrai fighting most of the pokemon being suspicious would've crossed through Zero's mind, he was a bit too preoccupied with the various strange beings trying and failing to overrun him. With the shadow of his arm stretched independent of his movements once again, another Ominous Wind ripped through the otherwise calm air, slamming into another Cubone and sending them flying. Nevermoor made short work of effectively all that came before them, though that might've been due in part to just how big the power gap between her and the rest of these wild pokemon was.

As the latest pokemon was sent flying, Zero glanced back again to check on how Elizabeth was dealing with her side, though there was clearly nothing worth worrying about. He was more curious than anything else, just checking in to see who she sent out against what, since she didn't have any pokemon just yet that she could use to simply defeat each of them in one move. He watched as her Liligant drained the energy out of a Cubone, just as another approached him before being blown away. He barely even took notice, instead opening is mouth to speak again. "Looks like you and your pokemon are doing pretty well so far. To be honest I wasn't too sure what to expect when this suddenly started.

Elizabeth had heard as Zero said that she was doing pretty well so far, not sure what to expect when all of this started. "Thanks. Yeah, I wasn't sure how this would all go either when it all started. But at least the pokemon I have with me are getting a lot of experience, and I have more new pokemon now who will also need to get more experience too." she then said back to him, nodding and smiling. But suddenly another Bulbasaur had appeared, wanting to fight and battle. She knew that Camellia and Lilly had already fought enough, having other pokemon that could use the experience. "Holly, help me out!" she called as she let out Holly, surprised at first but seeing the Bulbasaur and ready to fight. "Holly, use Charm!" she had said as the Chansey nodded back. She then stared at the Bulbasaur, making a cute face with their big sparkling eyes, making the opponent unsettled and hesitant. But the Bulbasaur soon sent out vines that hit and whipped Holly a bit. "Holly, use Pound!" she called out as Holly nodded, a quarter of her arm glowing bright light-blue before running over and stabbing the Bulbasaur with it. Then Bulbasaur had hit and whipped Holly with the vines again, dealing a bit of damage. "Holly, use Pound!" Elizabeth yelled again, Holly stabbing the Bulbasaur again with her partially glowing arm. But that Bulbasaur still didn't go down as it hit Holly with the vines yet again. "Holly, use Pound one last time!" she said as Holly nodded back before stabbing Bulbasaur with her partially glowing arm one last time. Finally the Bulbasaur was defeated, too weak to fight anymore as it ran off. She sighed in relief, glad that Holly was able to fight and get some experience from that. But it had been a little too close for her liking, thinking that was enough as she returned the Chansey to her pokeball. After that, Elizabeth had spotted another strange candy bar on the ground, putting it into her bag like with the others.

The young man nodded in response, glancing back as another Bulbasaur began to approach. "Yeah, they may be weak but all these pokemon are certainly making for good experience," Zero agreed, feeling the wind momentarily pick up as it passed him. Once again, Nevermoor used Ominous Wind, swiftly and soundly defeating the unfortunate Bulbasaur without difficulty. All things considered, things were actually going quite well. Between her and Nova, there was certainly no chance of any of the strange, wild pokemon getting within striking distance.

Elizabeth had nodded back in agreement after hearing what Zero had said, glad about that. She then turned around, only to find a giant black widow close to her face as she screamed while backing far away from it. Then the thing dropped down to the ground, wanting to fight as she realized that it was just a Spinarak, that looks like a black widow. That is so scary and creepy! She thought about who to have battle, knowing that Blossom can't handle that thing, but another pokemon could easily. "Go Camellia!" she called out as she let out Camellia, surprised but saw the Spinarak and ready to go. "Camellia, use Flame Charge!" Elizabeth had said as the Fennekin nodded back, surrounding herself in red flames. Then she had slammed into the Spinarak, becoming faster as a result. The Spinarak was defeated, too weak to fight anymore as it ran off. Elizabeth sighed in relief, so glad that Camellia had taken care of that new creepy pokemon so quickly.

Elizabeth knew that she was going to have to get her team healed up soon since they have battled so much. Then she turned around, seeing another Meowth that was ready to fight. Finally, she can have Blossom handle this one pretty quickly. "Your turn, Blossom!" she called out, letting them out of the pokeball, surprised at first but ready to battle. "Blossom, use Leaf Storm!" Elizabeth had yelled as the Bellossom nodded back. She raised her arms and then sent a storm of leaves straight at the Meowth, doing a lot of damage. It was a one hit KO as the Meowth was defeated, too weak to fight anymore before running off. That was a very quick battle, all of her team now pretty strong thanks to these strange pokemon though. But she has a whole bunch of new pokemon that need to be trained up too, along with old ones as well. They all deserve a break anyways, considering that they had fought all those strange pokemon one after another like this.

Finally, after the constant stream of wild pokemon charging them began to let up, Zero noticed the rest of them beginning to disperse. The Meowths dashed off out of sight, Spinarak sucrried into some unseen corners, and the Bublsaurs and Cubones seemed to have simply disappeared when he wasn't looking. He took another look around one more time, before letting out a small sigh, and straightened himself. Seemed that was all of them, save for any Elizabeth might've been fighting. "Good work you two," he said, low and under his breath so that only his two pokemon would be able to hear him. He felt a sudden buzz on his wrist, and as he raised it up to see what it was, a small smile crept on his face as he realized Isis had finally messaged him back. He couldn't hold back a small chuckle when he actually looked at what Nevermoor had sent earlier, a jumbled mess of misspelled words and barely coherent text. He couldn't really decipher it either, so he just glossed over that to get to replying.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I think you mentioned the Rayquaza before. But I mean, I still have Ragnaros, so I mean it's not like having a legendary is completely new to me.
If it makes you feel any better I couldn't decipher it either. But she's been fairly reliable so far, a bunch of wild pokemon just randomly started popping up in Lumiose and attacking, but between her and Nova they weren't terribly difficult to deal with.
After finishing and hitting send on the message, Zero finally turned back to the redhead, finding her to have finished with the pokemon assaulting her as well. "Well, looks like it's over now. And your pokemon got a bit stronger in the process, so I'd say things worked out in the end."

But then another one of those Spinarak showed up, wanting to fight and thinking that she'll need to beat it first. "Camellia, go!" she said as the Fennekin nodded, stepping forward and ready. "Camellia, use Flame Charge!" she called out as Camellia nodded and surrounded herself in red flames. Then she had slammed into the Spinarak, becoming faster as a result. The Spinarak was defeated, too weak to fight anymore as it ran off. She saw another of those strange candy bars on the ground, putting it in her bag. But Elizabeth now was noticing that all these strange pokemon stopped attacking and were leaving, relieved that they were finally done as she heard Zero. "Yeah, it's finally over and my pokemon have gotten stronger, getting some new ones as well." she said back to him, nodding and smiling. Then suddenly Camellia started glowing for a bit and when it went away, she had evolved from a Fennekin into a Braixen. "Camellia, you're even cuter now!" Elizabeth had said with a smile, so happy to have had her starter evolve like this. All of that battle was definitely worth it, making her pokemon get stronger and even evolve too.

Elizabeth knew that after all the battling they did, it was time to let these pokemon rest and train some of her others. "I'll be right back, I'm just going to switch out my pokemon at the Pokemon Center." she had said to Zero, not sure if he wanted to go as well. So she went ahead and walked on over to the Pokemon Center, first going up to the counter and asking the Nurse Joy to heal up all her pokemon. Once they were all healed up, Elizabeth went over to the PC and deposited all of her pokemon before thinking of which ones to take out. Finally she had decided to take out all the pokemon that she just recently caught along with Cedar. Then she remembered that she still has all those Rare Candies, right now being a perfect opportunity to use them since she has all these lower leveled pokemon. So she let out Pumpkin, Amaranth, Sorrel, and Delphine; going into her bag and pulling out the Rare Candies. First she gave five of them to Sorrel, watching the Cyndaquil quickly eat them up and getting stronger. Now there were only five candies left for four pokemon, thinking of who should get the last one. Suddenly Amaranth jumped up and took two of the candies for herself, quickly eating them up. "Amaranth!" Elizabeth said, surprised that the Meowth did that, sighing. Okay, that answers her question then. So she gave the last three candies to Pumpkin, Sorrel, and Delphine; watching the pokemon eat them up and grow a little stronger. Elizabeth smiled, glad to have taken care of that before returning them all back to their pokeballs. Then Elizabeth had walked out of the Pokemon Center and back over to Zero, ready to go while wondering what he wanted to do now since that incident with all the strange pokemon is over.

The young man nodded as the redhead agreed, turning to her pokemon as they began to glow with the blinding light of evolution. From a Fennekin to a Braxien, the fire-type grew in response to the surge of experience, before Elizabeth turned back to him. "Alright," he replied plainly when she said she'd be heading to the Pokemon Center. "I'll wait here for a bit then." He took a seat in one of the nearby chairs, as the girl headed off towards the center, relaxing a bit after the less-than-stressful battles. Nova returned to his side, and Nevermoor remained firmly in his shadow, quietly watching all that happened. Elizabeth wasn't gone for long, but it was enough for him to have a chance to think. What now? He'd completed all the gyms he immediately needed to challenge, so there was no need to jump right back into training. Isis was still off with Leon, their date presumably going well since he hadn't gotten another text from her, nor was there any foreboding feeling gripping him. And he couldn't think of anything he needed to go around collecting, so what would he do now? His mind wandered quietly as he waited, before he felt a chilly wind blow through, as he gazed at all the people beginning to walk about in winter clothing. It was getting close to the holidays, wasn't it?
As he quietly thought to himself, Elizabeth finally made her way back to him, her team having largely been swapped out, but it wasn't something Zero himself knew just yet. As she drew close, the young man rose from his seat, popping his neck once or twice, and addressed the redhead once she was back. "Well, me and Nova only really came her for lunch, so we've done all we really came here to do. I'm not really sure if there's much else here for me right now."

It looks like she will have to go back to the Pokemon Center again since now she has another new pokemon that she will need to train along with the others. She had then walked back over to Zero, smiling and wondering if he will be leaving after all.

Noel pulled out his map again, setting Algernon down on the ground as he did. He was still trying hard to keep awake and focused on where he was going, having to stop here and there to try and figure out in what direction he was going. Elizabeth saw as Zero had shaken his head, hearing him say that he should start heading out, that there would be little good that can come from traveling with him. She could say the same thing also regarding traveling with her, knowing that her father will come for her eventually and would feel awful if someone innocent got involved in it. Then he said that he would give her his number in case she needs something, to give him a call. "Alright, that's fine. Oh, thank you very much." Elizabeth had said back, looking at his phone number and adding it into her Transceiver as well, that it belonged to Zero. Then he told her that he should be going now, thanking her for the company and how it was far better than eating alone. "You're welcome, and thank you for the company too. Hopefully we can hang out together again someday. Take care Zero, Nova. Goodbye." she said back to him and Nova, smiling happily as she then waved goodbye to them. Once they had left, she sighed and realized that she was back on her own again in this journey. Thinking about it now, she wished that she had gotten Ashley's number earlier too, but knew that she couldn't go back. Maybe Elizabeth will end up running into him again and she can get it from him then. For now, it was time to move on as there is still the northern half of Lumiose City to explore. So she started walking upwards through the streets, wondering what else there will be to see there.
