Amir
Amir shivered a bit at Dancer's comment that he couldn't wait for him to meet Sebastet. He didn't know a lot about her, but he had heard some interesting stories from Ra. Now he was concerned about how things would go during that first meeting. "I've heard a few interesting stories about her from my father," he said. "And he seemed to share that same sentiment. He said that he's excited to get to hear how the first meeting goes."

He turned his attention to Dancer's body in the grass, looking him over as he thought about where he should focus the healing energy this time. He ultimately decided to focus on Dancer's legs so that he would be able to walk around more comfortably. He also planned to work on Dancer's throat to see if he could fix the remaining damage there so that Dancer wouldn't have to be stuck with the change to his voice that he so clearly didn't like.

He couldn't help but sigh again when Dancer stated that he knew the risks. "I know that you probably already know all of the things I'm going to tell you, but I think that I'm ethically required to at least bring up the major effects that could possibly happen." He thought about Dancer's idea to get a few servants to help them upstairs and decided that it would probably be for the best if he took that option. He waited until the passing servants got close and then flagged them down. He spoke to them quietly, quickly explaining the situation and letting them know that he and Dancer would need a bit of help back up to Dancer's rooms when the session was done.

He took a deep breath as the servants nodded and moved off to give them space. "Time to get started." Warm light surrounded Amir as he began to pull in power from the sun. The light began to flow from him into Dancer as the healing began. Dancer would feel the same healing power flowing into him from before, erasing any pain he was feeling as it began to move towards his legs. Amir allowed himself to get totally engrossed in the healing process, pouring massive amounts of his power into Dancer. It would be hours before they finally stopped.

As the healing progressed, a few of Amir's memories began to bleed through to Dancer, just as he'd warned could happen. Most of the memories were brief flashes of his early life, though Dancer would be able to notice that all of the memories of his childhood lacked any men at all. It seemed that he had been raised in a community of all women and had gone the first two decades of his life without ever seeing another man until Ra finally decided to take him as his servant. But one memory would be vivid. Amir had found himself passing through the first village he had ever been in besides his own as he headed to the destination Ra had set out for him. As he stopped and considered where he should rest, he was approached by two attractive men. He found himself nervous and blushing as he interacted with men for the first time, especially when the men offered to let him stay the night in their home and then stated that they would give him a night to remember. The sex that had followed was certainly enjoyable, even if he lacked the experience he would need to make it better.

The memories of that night stopped as Amir let out a soft gasp and fell backwards, unable to continue. He looked a bit dizzy as he looked up at the sky and realized that they had spent the entire day on this session. "I really lost track of time there. But we made a lot of progress. You should have no problem walking around normally again once you've gotten some rest. Your throat should be feeling better, too. I don't think it's fully done yet, but we should be able to get your voice back to normal soon." He found himself unable to get up for now and realized that the servants hadn't returned to retrieve them just yet. It seemed that they would be stuck in this spot for a bit longer. "How are you feeling?" As he waited for an answer, he found himself wondering if Dancer had gotten a glimpse at anything. He didn't know what Dancer had seen. But it likely wouldn't be that difficult for Dancer to connect a few dots about Amir. The demigod had gone two decades without ever seeing another male, and then the very first encounter he'd ever had with other men had led to fun but ultimately meaningless sex. And the vast majority of his encounters with men after that had gone the same way. It wasn't hard to see why he had so many issues with self-control.

Dancer said nothing at first, as he got his physical responses under control before Amir could notice much. After that, he gave a nod, "I'm fine. I'll be better after some sleep," he said softly, wondering how much to say and how much to keep behind his teeth.

In the end, he didn't get to say much. A cloaked figure approached them on silent feet and assessed the situation briefly, "I hear assisstance is needed to get back upstairs. You boys are lucky they came to get me," came a female voice that was pure seduction to hear thanks to an ever-present hint of a purr. She turned to look behind her, "You get Dancer. I'll carry his guest," she offered to the person behind her.

What walked up behind her was seduction incarnate in male form. Pure walking desire. And even hotter in looks than anyone Amir had ever seen.

Ash simply scooped up Dancer in his arms easily, "Come on, Kid. Let's get you in bed. You're lucky that Hal's replacement likes me. He told me you two were headed this way and that you had a new healer that had set the ones in the demon realm on their collective asses," the incubus said as he headed for the tower with Dancer in his arms, the long dark hair hiding the incubus from view for the moment.

The female reached a hand down to Amir and pulled him to his feet then put a strong arm around his waist. He mostly needed to be kept steady with a living crutch and she was more than willing to assist, "You'll have to tell me why your father is trying to play matchmaker with his son and my godson..." she told him softly, letting him see the teasing look in her emerald eyes under the hood of her cloak as she started walking him in Ash's wake.

So, for a few moments at least, he'd have double-eye candy and the one female that made Ra scared, all in Dancer's rooms with him...

(Slight edit)

Amir
Amir smiled as he heard Dancer say that he was fine. "That's good," he muttered, sounding tired. "Prolonged healing sessions like that can take quite a toll on both parties. And with the state that you were in, I was worried that it would only make you feel worse. I'm glad to hear that you feel okay. You should also be happy to hear that I numbed the pain for you again while I was working on you. You should be feeling good for a while."

He wanted to say more, but he was interrupted by the appearance of a cloaked figure nearby. He blinked a few times as the cloaked woman spoke, catching the hint of a purr in her voice. It wasn't difficult for him to figure out who this probably was. His attention briefly shifted to Ash as he walked up to pick up Dancer. He couldn't recall ever seeing anyone as unbelievably attractive as the incubus, but he found himself too tired to make a pass at him right now. It was probably for the best that he couldn't. He really didn't need even the tiniest possibility of getting pulled away from Dancer. He did actually want to do his job well, meaning that he would have to resist the urge to try to go after Ash. He just hoped that he had the willpower to do it.

He allowed the woman to help him to his feet and then sighed a bit as she put an arm around his waist to help him. He really didn't like being so weak that he needed assistance just to walk, especially in a new and unknown place like this. He was just happy that he was in a place that was unlikely to have someone who would take advantage of his weakened state

His thoughts were immediately derailed as he heard the female speak. He frowned a bit at her comment about Ra trying to play matchmaker with him and Dancer. "There's no way my father would ever try to match someone like me up with Dancer. That would be too much like a reward for me and a punishment for Dancer. It wouldn't happen. And honestly, he'd probably be too scared that you would kick his a** for it, Sebastet. And based on what he's told me about you, I'm pretty sure you're one of the few who could do it."

Sebastet gave a deep chuckle that carried that purr as well as she helped him walk instead of treating him like an invalid, "If you're brave enough, why don't you ask him about those scars across his backside... Besides, now that you're on this island, he can't do too much to you... I have a very strong suspicion that he sent you to Dancer on purpose, for more than one reason. You're smart enough to think this one through, Cub..." she told him softly as they made their way towards the door to the tower.

That door automatically opened for them, showing him that the tower was, in a small way, somewhat sentient. Or at least influenced by something sentient. She hadn't figured that part out yet. But the end result was that the Tower did things for her and those that lived in the tower.

"If you ever need to talk... I'm on the top floor... Or in the office on the first floor..." she told him simply, then started the process of helping him up the stairs to Dancer's room. Which was, thankfully, only on the second floor...

Morrigan
Morrigan gave Ash a nod as he got back to his feet so that he could lead them to Sebastet. She watched as Samirra took Ash's hand and then got back up as well. She followed behind them, pausing as Ash opened the door for them. She allowed Samirra to go through first and then stepped out into the garden as wel.

Morrigan immediately froze when she saw the garden. She could practically feel her jaw drop as she started to look over the entire garden. "This garden is unbelievable," she said, looking stunned as she took in the entire scene. "How the hell did she do all this?" She had never seen anything like this garden before. The amount of work it would take to create something like this astounded her.

Samirra let out a happy giggle as she let go of Ash's hand and ran into the garden to explore a bit. She made sure to stay where they could see her, but she decided to enjoy herself out in the garden. For the first time in a long time, she was able to really let go and be a child. For just a few moments, she didn't have to worry about her aunt's mental state.

Morrigan smiled as she watched her niece enjoying the massive garden. "It's good to see her laughing and having fun out here. She's never really gotten to just be a kid. We've always been so worried about what would happen if people saw her. Especially after we ran into that group of demons that talked about putting her into a cage and keeping her as a pet." She stopped talking and shook her head a bit, trying to let go of that train of thought. They were going to be safe now. They didn't need to think about those things anymore.

Samirra eventually came back to them, still giggling. "I love the garden, Ash. Do you think Sebastet will let me come back here and play in it again later?" She seemed really happy about getting to enjoy the garden, and she hoped that she would get to enjoy it again at a later time. She hadn't ever really gotten to have fun moments like this in her life so far, and she really hoped that she would be able to have more of them going forward.

Ash gave a smile and nodded as he and Morrigan watched the cub play, "Every child deserves to play... And you and I will need to talk after you speak to Sebastet," he told her softly, knowing that they didn't have much time for that to be said.

Sure enough, Samirra bounced over and asked a question that tugged at his heart. He reached down and tapped her nose again, delighting in her surprised laugh from the action as she covered her nose with her blue eyes dancing, "Bit... I have a surprise for you... Sebastet has an entire island for you to play on... For a little while, while you're so young, you'll need to have someone with you if you leave the castle. But you can play just about anywhere you want to here," he told her, his voice full of certainty on the subject.

And he wasn't lying either. Sebastet would likely appoint several of the servants to be the girl's caretakers: nanny, bodyguard, personal chef, seamstress... Later on there would be volunteers to help with her lessons in books, defense, combat, and any other skills she wanted to learn. Sebastet would likely see to the girl's Hylarr lessons personally.

He gestured to Sebastet's tower, "That's where we're headed, Bit. You can explore as much as you like on the way. And hand me that cloak. It's too hot to be cloaked like that," he added, taking the cloak from her then watching as the girl delighted in the sunlight.

From there, he started a slow stroll through the garden, allowing both of them to enjoy the garden while Samirra played some of the 'fidgits' out...

As they walked, he explained a little bit about the garden, "Sebastet had a run-in with a group of vampires a very long time ago. One wanted to Turn her and keep her as a pet. He Turned her, but she killed him in return. So she's had a very long time to work on the garden. In a way, it's her sanctuary here. She doesn't leave the island much, you see. She also has alot of flowers here that have been specially bred to bloom at night," he explained, his dark eyes straying to the girl from time to time.

"There are actually three Hylarr here. Sebastet, a white tigress; her Mate Lio, a greater lion; and Bast, a black cougar. Bast is only in her twenties, still very young for a Hylarr. Sebastet and Lio are her Guardians. Her clan was wiped out by the Hunters, a few friends smuggled Bast out to a ship that brought her here," he added, not wanting Morrigan to be surprised when she saw them.

Morrigan
Morrigan nodded in a greement with Ash's statement that every child deserved to play. She let out a soft sigh when he said that they would need to talk after she spoke to Sebastet. That was a conversation she really wasn't looking forward to.

She smiled when she heard Samirra's laugh and excited noises when Ash said that she would be able to play just about anywhere she could want. She hadn't really gotten to hear the little girl laugh in so long, so hearing it now and seeing her so happy definitely melted her heart a bit. She actually had to wipe away a few tears when she thought Ash wasn't looking. She just felt so relieved, like a massive weight was being lifted with Ash's promises. He was promising everything that she had ever wanted her niece to have.

Samirra practically squealed in excitement when Ash told her that she would get to play anywhere she wanted. She followed the direction he was gesturing to as he told her where they were going. She heard him tell her to hand him the cloak and hesitated a bit. She looked over at her aunt and took the cloak off when she received a reassuring nod. She handed the cloak to Ash and took a moment to enjoy the sunlight. After that, she started to run and play in the garden again.

Morrigan followed Ash towards Sebastet's tower, keeping Samirra in her sights at all times. "I'm glad that everything Sebastet went through didn't make her cruel. I don't think I could have handled it if we got here and were treated badly. I don't know If I would be able to come back from something like that."

She hesitated for a moment and then decided to tell Ash some information that would probably be important. "I've been caring for Samirra on my own for a while now. My sister died during childbirth, and her father Jaspar was killed by Hunters about two years ago. And right after that, we were grabbed by a group of demons. Like I said before, they wanted to put her in a cage and make her a pet. And they wanted to do some pretty horrible things to me. But I snapped and shifted before they could. I went at them all like a wild animal."

She paused for a moment as she looked at her still slightly golden skin. "I'm only about a quarter demon, you know. My dad was a WereWolf, and my mom was a hybrid. I had more wolf in me, so I never really had to worry about anything on my demonic side. But that run-in with that group of demons changed things. I've heard of some Weres becoming slightly demonic after drinking demon blood, and I know that I accidentally drank a lot when I was tearing into those demons. I guess it just works differently when you actually have demonic genes. My demonic side really came to life within a few days and drove my wolf insane, and it's been getting harder and harder to keep control of myself since then."

She shook her head as she forced herself to switch to a more pleasant topic of conversation. "It's good to hear that there are multiple Hylarr here. I think that it'll do Samirra a lot of good to meet others. She's only five years old, but having to hide was taking a toll on her. She was starting to feel ashamed of being a Hylarr because it made things harder for us if people found out. I'm glad that she won't have to hide anymore. And I'm really happy that she'll finally get the chance to be truly accepted by someone other than me."

While Samirra climbed up a fruit tree to snack on a few peaches, Ash paused and got Morrigan to face him, deciding that she needed the talk now rather than later, "If they did that, then they deserved death three times over. Lareth doesn't allow that kind of behaviour. Anyone who acts like that is banished to Darkness Abounds. I'm horrified that you had to go through that," he started, then took on the difficult bit for her.

"But you need more help than I've given you so far. So I'll make you an offer: I'll help you with what you're going through and give you the training you need for your demonic half. In return, you get to stay here with your niece. As for what I get out of it... Well... I think you can guess... But it's also part of the reason I'm here. As Lareth's representative here, it's part of my job to help those like you that need it. You need the help and I'm offering to help you. Please don't turn me down outright," he added, letting her know that he wasn't going to let it go.

He could already feel how bad she needed his help, could feel her desires rising again, though she likely wouldn't catch on yet. He knew she had a few hours of leeway, but that was about it. After that, he'd likely have to force the issue unless she started using her brain.

"Before you bring it up, I'm not looking for an attachment. I don't want anything permanent. I can tell that you don't either. So just consider this a 'friends with benefits' situation. We both reap the rewards when they're needed. In between, I give you the training you need and you get to spend the time with your niece..." he finished, hoping that she wouldn't be as stubborn as he feared she would be.

Morrigan
Morrigan didn't want to look Ash in the eye at first when he made her face him. She eventually met his gaze and listened to what he was saying about the group of demons she had dealt with. "With the number of pieces they were torn into, they may have gotten death three times over," she muttered. She was doing her best to hide it and stay strong, but the experience had deeply affected her. Talking about it like this wasn't easy.

She raised an eyebrow when he commented that she needed more help than he'd given her. That was something that she was painfully aware of. She listened to his offer, weighing it against the few other options that she could possibly have. The arrangement he was suggesting definitely seemed like the best of the few options that she had.

She finally nodded when he made his comment about not wanting any attachment. "I can tell that you don't want any attachment, and it isn't exactly hard to figure out why. I noticed that scar of yours. As for your offer, I have no reason to refuse it. I know that the relief you gave me won't last. That heat will come back, and it'll be even worse than before. I'm not an expert, but I can feel that much. If I can deal with that in a safe way while also giving you what you need to deal with your own needs, I don't see why I would turn that down. The fact that I also get the training that I need while getting to stay with my niece is a pretty huge bonus."

She gave him a moment for that to sink in and continued. "I can handle friends with benefits. I'm definitely not looking for anything permanent either, so I won't get attached. I really don't see any downside to this. We both get what we need, and I get to stay with my niece in a safe environment. The only other thing we need to deal with is my wolf. Like I said before, my demon suddenly waking up drove my wolf insane. It's completely out of my control now. I can't shift when I want to, and I have to be careful not to get angry. If I get too angry, my wolf forces a shift and goes on a rampage. I need to find some way to stop myself from shifting at all until I can sort it out."

From here to Sebastet's First Floor Office

Ash shook his head as he listened to the end of what she said, "I can handle your wolf. No need to worry about that. And I know someone that can help with the rest of your problem there. We'll deal with the other issues first and introduce you to Dancer later," he told her simply then watched as Samirra left the peach tree and headed for the center of the garden.

"She'll need to see Dancer, for certain. She will need the kind of healing he gives and I'm certain that Sebastet will see to the arrangements for both of you," he added as he got them moving towards the night-blooming jasmine potted in the center of the garden, it's beautiful scent still filling the air.

They didn't know it, but that plant was the key to Sebastet's sanity. They might find out later on, but there was no need to say anything right now.

Their path went on past and down another path that led to Sebastet's Tower. As they got closer, the door simply opened for them, "Ah... Yes... I forgot to mention that the tower is sentient, in a way. Not anything particularly intelligent in the way of having a conversation with it or anything like that. But it does act on it's own from time to time," he let them know, knowing that the girl would find it entertaining as most of the local children did.

I'll let you move them over there.

Morrigan
Morrigan was quiet for a moment as she listened to Ash stating that he could handle her wolf. "I'm glad that you have an answer for that," she said. "As long as I don't get angry, I should be fine for a while. And I really can't see any reason for me to get angry right now. I finally got my niece to a place where she can be happy. So I can keep my wolf under control for now."

She watched Samirra and then looked over to Ash again. "If Dancer can help to relieve the trauma she's gone through, I'll thank him forever. I've spent years worrying about the effects of all of the pain she's dealt with. It's good to know that you have someone here who can help her that way."

Morrigan went silent after that, not really needing to say anything else. She followed Ash down the path that led to Sebastet's Tower and paused when the door opened on its own. She smiled when she heard Samirra giggling over it. She was glad that her niece was so happy.

Samirra eventually moved back to her aunt and Ash, still laughing and having a good time. She was enjoying herself so much. She reached out to take Morrigan's hand as they made their way to the tower. She giggled when the door opened, clearly entertained by it. She had never been anywhere like this or seen magic like this, and she was loving it.

Desmond enjoyed the kiss and the tease; he couldn’t help but follow close to her his eyes following her form as they made their way to the garden. As Bast led him into the garden his eyes moved away from her and his eyes were on the garden before him and while such things didn’t interest him all that much it was a beautiful sight to see, though if he was being honest seeing Bast there made her even more beautiful which only left him wanting her that much more but controlling his desire for the time being. Desmond walked beside Bast content to be close to her his eyes surprisingly looking at the area around them and found that while such things wasn’t his thing he did feel even more relaxed there than not, which surprised him since he’d seemingly let his guard down there, more so with Bast close to him and spoke up “beautiful place, though not as beautiful as you are” and looked at Bast and smiled as she led the way through the garden, he leaned in and gave her cheek a kiss before he continued “I’d imagine with the right motivation one would likely enjoy staying here” he knew she’d likely understand what he meant, though he was still trying to figure out how he could stay without drawing attention from RRT, especially since he was getting attached to Bast and was finding it difficult to find a reason to even leave.

Bast had opened the eyes of a wolf like him who’d given up trying to have any kind of relationship, but also had given up trying to be anything other than a dog of war, and suddenly he was conflicted with himself to such a degree that all he wanted to do was spend time with her, which wasn’t such a bad thing in the end since he felt so relaxed around her and was amazed by how much she actually wanted him. Desmond had never felt wanted like that before which was a new thing for him, there was a desire that he could see, and her scent even amongst the flowers of the garden was hard to mistake as anything other than a desire for him and it was refreshing, though what surprised him the most was that in such a short time she had caught his attention and never let go of it.

Wolfe Garm

Bast gave a 'blushing' smile at his compliment and the kiss as the sunlight showed off the silvered tips of her dark fur. That tipping was specific to the cougars and was what allowed them to almost hide in plain sight at dawn and dusk, their preferred hunting times. For her black fur to have that tipping as well meant that she'd definitely let him chase her, since it would have been so easy for her to effectively disappear at the right time of day.

She bumped her shoulder into him playfully and smiled shyly up at him, "I like the scents... During the day you can pick up hints of the night-blooming flowers and it keeps you guessing as to what each one looks like during the day," she explained as they started walking down one of the pathways that would lead them to the center of the garden first.

From there, she was planning on turning to head to the tower opposite of Sebastet's. That was where the armory was and what she thought he might like to see.

As they walked, she found herself 'bumping' into him here and there. She kept having to make herself not get clingy on him. But she wanted to roll in his scent and have his arms wrapped around her all the time. In truth, she felt something with him that she'd never felt before. She had a taste of it when she came to the island, but not like this...

She pointed to the tower they were headed for as they reached the night-blooming jasmine in the center of the garden, "That's where the armory is. Only Sebastet and Lio go in there these days. Sebastet keeps getting deliveries of weapons and armor that have curses on them. She removes the curses and stores the stuff in there. Lio likes to go through and organize it from time to time," she tried using their destination as a distraction but knew it wasn't much help.

She pointed to a spot between the armory tower and Sebastet's tower, "That's where the kitchen is. There's always something to eat there," Moving further around, "That's Sebastet's tower. She lives there with her Mate Lio. Her godson Dancer lives on the second floor," along the wall past that was a vine-covered building, "That's the bathhouse. Very nice if you want to soak or just relax," her finger found the next tower, "That's where Ash lives. He's the demon representative here. Full-blood Incubus and calls himself my uncle," the next straight side, "That's where the library is. The librarian is brilliant but clumsy and accidentally rude," then she pointed to the last tower, "No one has that one yet, though Dancer was trying to claim it before his Mate was killed," that brought her hand back to the front of the castle where they'd entered the garden from.

He was standing in front of her by that point and she had to give him a small smile that held a hint of sadness to it now, "The Church sent a bunch of Hunters two years ago... They killed alot of people and tortured some of them pretty badly..." she explained to him and started walking again, this time with her head down as she tried to let him know a bit more, "No one knows it but I saw Wind and Dancer when they were brought back... It was horrible, what they'd done to them... Dancer had to be sent to the demon realm for healing and Wind hasn't been out of his rooms in all that time..." she shook her head slightly, "I can't imagine what it was like to lose their mates as well... A friend of Sebastet's was able to actually sink the island the Hunters were using, but they just keep coming here..." she paused there and licked her lips as she looked around at the garden for a moment then started walking again.

"While the island is safe, none of the protections can stop the Hunters. The only protections Sebastet can put up are only able to stop those with 'evil intent'... The Hunters think they're doing the right thing by killing the people here..." she added, letting him know that the island wasn't a complete paradise.

Even in the castle, people like Bast were constantly at risk. There were even those like him being sent here, thinking that they were doing the right thing. While she was good at running... Even she wouldn't be able to escape every time....

Desmond wasn’t all that familiar with the various flowers in the garden so he took her word for it that there were night flowers, his eyes were on her until she started pointing out where everything was, and who was there paying attention to those details for future reference, it was only when she turned to face him and started talking about what had happened two years ago that he saw the sadness in her. Desmond couldn’t help but feel upset that things were so bad contrary to how things might have appeared, and stepped over to her wrapping his arms around her and simply held her close and simply whispered “I may have come as a hunter, but so long as I still draw breathe I won’t let anything happen to you” he’d made up his mind, somehow he’d figure out how to stay here and stay here with Bast. Somehow it was the best course of action he could think of, and honestly if the hunters were here attacking everyone here, he knew that with him there they’d find more than they bargained for. Leaning down he gave her a gentle kiss and continued “and if you want, I’ll stay here with you however long you want me to” he said as he held her close to him.

Bast was thankful for the distracting kisses. And for the sweet words. Those words meant more than she could tell him. She laid her head on his chest and put her arms around his waist, simply letting him hold her for a moment. Then she had to give him some information that would probably shock him.

"I'm going to live at least a thousand years, unless something else ends it before then or I get Turned like Sebastet. That's a long time," she told him softly, knowing that he'd need to know about that much.

She knew that he was older than she was but that didn't matter to her. What mattered was that he was holding her like this and made her feel... She wasn't sure if she wanted to explore the feeling too closely right now because describing it was so difficult, there were literally no adequate words for how he made her feel.

But Sebastet had been right... She knew...

But she would live that long, at least. Unless someone killed her or a vampire Turned her and extended her lifespan. Sebastet had lived for so long that no one really knew how old she was, so being a vampire had its perks as well as its drawbacks.

Bast rubbed her cheek against his chest as her tail moved lazily behind her, "But I'll take you for as long as I can..." she whispered to him, hoping that he'd understand it by now. But if he didn't, he'd probably figure it out when they met Sebastet. She couldn't hide anything from her guardian and the older Hylarr would pick up on it so very easily that it would become very obvious that Bast truly did want to take Desmond on permanently.
