When Shiro first began to speak of the other red head she didn't really understand why. Eventually it became clear to her. He was to be assigned under her command as part of what was to be squad three. Part of her was very curious as to where the boy's strong suits were though dealing with a minor was giving her a small measure of anxiety. As it stood they leaned towards a support role when factoring in Kaneo. Mizuki was a trained in general shinobi medicine with a special education in psychology and had an aptitude for sensor techniques thanks to her innate sixth sense. Kaneo as well was good in a recon capacity from what she had seen. While her own kekkei genkai packed a punch and she did know both suiton and katon techniques they weren't as strong as what some others could do. It would be interesting to see what their squad dynamic would be. However before she could really got lost in such matters, there was the obnoxious two D monster to be dealt with. Paperwork.
"You're the best daddy~" she cooed before looking at the other red head. He certainly looked fit so more than likely he was some sort of weapons or taijutsu specialist. At any rate she could give a quick introduction before giving her first orders and heading off to handle the busy work. "Hey there Akai-kun as Shiro said I'm Mizuki and it seems from now on I'll be looking out for you. You can fill me in with regards to your skills later. So long as you have a comm device and meet up with me by the deadline you can do as you desire♪ Kane-kun I know you've got a lot of training to do so work that cute a** of yours~" With that she waved and started walking away. This was good, well the promotion part. She wasn't exactly sure what all else was going on but it did not sound good. Getting everyone to meet up in the plaza meant that there was some sort of large announcement and based on who was supposed to show up, well it was something that was going to impact the entire village. "If I have time to study some more before the deadline I'll be back you two, but if not meet me at the Plaza." With that last bit said, she left the dojo. [Exit]

Axel nodded to Mizuki, he wondered why she called him Akai, but he would let it pass, though in reality he had no choice. “I’ll fill you in after the Raikage’s announcement.” He gave her a soft smile, and quickly added: “I don’t have a comm device though, but don’t worry. I’ll be there in time.” Once he finished saying that to Mizuki, he turned to his other teammate, Kaneo, gave him a nod of acknowledgement and left the area, going down to the lounge. He took a piece of paper, wrote something there, handed to to Anna, the secretary, and then went off to a private training room. He let his belt drop, having both of his weapons fall to the floor. Just then, Anna slid the door open and placed three scrolls, a book, and a training bow and arrow on the ground. “It’s good to have you back, Axel.” She said, and he nodded, smiling back to her, but said nothing. She lingered by the door, and seeing how he did not respond, she left.
He turned around and picked up the first scroll and let it roll open. Inside were the techniques of the Uwame bow style. He grabbed the training bow and the dozen arrows that Anna had so kindly left for him and began to fire the bow. The first two were shot normally, the third shot, was fired straight forward normally, but the one that came instantly afterward he made a sharp 180 turn and shot the arrow. Then, he dropped to the ground, fired an arrow while he was still in midair, then, once he hit the floor, he fired another one. That was the Manipulation Skill of the Uwame style, preparing the practitioner to be ready for anything, to be prepared to fire an arrow regardless of the situation.

Axel got up from the ground and the first thing he did was walk over and picked up the six arrows he had fired. They were all laying limp on the ground and neither the arrows nor the walls were chipped, since he had not shot them with any particular force. The technique he was about to practice now was a completely different story. This was the spiral shot. The premise behind it was simple: fire an arrow and make it spin to increase the power behind it. If shot correctly, and with enough force, a shot like this could rip the head of a man clean off. Axel had heard of it before, and had even been shot by once during his time in exile and thankfully it missed. He understood the technical aspect behind it, so he quickly grabbed one of his twelve arrows and shot it as softly as he could to not cause any damage to the arrow, or to the wall. He drew the bow and just as he let the arrow loose, he flicked his thumb and index finger, giving the arrow a rotation strong enough to make the arrow ricochet off the wall and snap in half.

The following technique was even stronger than this one, but it wasn’t as reliable as the spiral shot. For this one, he took a moment, gathered a couple of targets, and put the dummies one behind the other. One it was set up, Axel drew the bow as right as he could, aimed for the head and let go of the arrow, but it flew just to the left and missed. When the arrow hit the wall, it broke down. He picked up a second arrow, knocked it, then drew as hard as he could, but this time, took a moment before setting it loose. He tipped his arrow slightly to the left and then let it loose. The arrow ripped through the air and hit the first dummy in the chest, a little to the left this time, and he was aiming high, around the forehead, and it went straight through all three of them, hit the wall, and then landed on the wall.

For the last technique of the fourth stage, he sat on the ground with his legs crossed. Axel set a single arrow in front of him, sideways. He closed his eyes and let his hand hover over it. His chakra flowed from his hand, onto the arrow, and to the environment around him. Once that was taken care of, he got up, and gripped the arrow firmly on his hand, his black chakra seeping out of it. He reached for the bow, knocked the arrow, drew, and let it loose. The arrow struck the center of the dummy’s mass. Upon making contact, all the arrows that were scattered around the training ground, all two of them, flew at the dummy, and stabbed into it.

Next, he skimmed over the scroll. His time to practice was getting short, so he would have to speed up his training. He picked from the techniques he had available to him at the moment and settled for two from his style: targeted rain and immobilize. For the first technique, he laid an arrow in front of him, pointing away from him and toward the wall. Just as he had done before, he set his hand just above it, and let his chakra flow inside of it, letting it take form. He grabbed the arrow, stepped at the edge of the room, by the door. He knocked, drew and let the arrow loose, allowing it to arch over one of the dummies. As it flew, the arrow released the chakra in the form of about a dozen chakra arrows.

Following from there, Axel grabbed on to another arrow and let it rest in his hand. He closed his eyes and once again let his chakra go into the arrow, but this time, instead of shaping it in the form of the arrow, he just let his chakra go in, and then put into the chakra’s ‘coding’ the intended effect: to paralyze everyone in an area around the arrow. Once his chakra was inside of it, he opened his eyes once again. He knocked, drew, and let the arrow loose. Upon hitting the dummy, the arrow released a pulse that covered the entire room. While he wasn’t sure if it worked, the fact that the pulse happened let him know that, at least, the technique was having some sort of effect.

With that done, Axel grabbed the Uwame scroll and set it aside with the other four he had fetched. He switched it for the Mori no Ichigeki scroll, let it drop on the ground, and weaved two sets of hand sighs: the first was to draw Iron Sand from metal and form an Iron Sand Clone. The second one was to use Iron Sand to create his weapon: a spear. First, he gripped the spear and let his chakra flow through it, beginning the training for Chakra: Form. Both he and his clone became ready, preparing their spears. Axel’s eyes shifted down to the scroll, and moved back to the clone, who began to move. His right leg shifted forward, but his left leg remained still. Axel then pushed himself forward with incredible speed, raising his arms, striking the clone in the chin before it could even raise its weapon to block. He then jumped away from the clone, performing a barrel roll to avoid any possible attack incoming from the clone. He prepared himself for his next attack; the clone turned around and went for Axel once again. This time, he parried the clone’s incoming attack with the butt of his weapon and in one swift movement, he spun the spear, focused chakra onto the tip of his weapon, and struck the clone’s chin, knocking it in the air. Following quickly off that, Axel focused his chakra on to the edges of the spear’s blade. His clone landed on the ground, and quickly recovered, standing up, and preparing itself for another attack, but not fast enough. In the time that it took the clone to land and get up, Axel had reached it, and released a powerful downward slash right on its left shoulder, severing the clone’s metallic arm, but being made of metal, the clone struck back with the blunt side of the weapon in Axel’s stomach, knocking him back. He was in pain, because of the clone’s blow, his pain converted into anger very quickly. Axel spun his weapon and focused chakra on to it once again, and ran at the clone. The clone lunged forward, Axel parried it away and quickly brought his spear back, and thrusted it forward, barely making contact the clone’s body, but releasing a blast of his chakra which knocked the clone back, slamming it against the wall. Axel would not relent. He sent chakra through his spear, making it looser, more flexible. He jumped at the clone, doing a sideways slash, where it bent while doing so. Axel struck the wall though, and not the clone. He stared at the wall, confused, but heard the clone’s footfall. He focused his chakra on the spear, the entirety of it, and spun it once, powerfully, releasing a torrent of dust that pushed the clone away from Axel. He stopped the motion, but focused the chakra onto the tip of the weapon, all of it, maintaining it there until it shot off, as if there was too much of it concentrated in the weapon’s tip. Following that, he focused chakra on his weapon for the millionth time in this training session. Once there was sufficient chakra, he separated it from the weapon, creating two floating pitch-black spears around him. The clone came at him once again, striking wildly at its creator. Axel didn’t bother blocking it himself, instead he preemptively moved his spear, and the two floating spears moved accordingly, blocking the attacks for him. This one technique was surely handy, but before long, the clone’s attacks dissipated his floating spears, and Axel was left to fend for himself. The clone came for him, and showed no signs of stopping. Axel focused chakra onto the blade once again, this time, creating a small structure of chakra off it, with which he blocked the incoming attack of the clone. From there, he followed by, once again, focusing his chakra on the weapon, similar to the way he did with chakra scabbard. Only that this time, it was focused exclusively on the tip. He rearranged it to be wider, a little longer, to allow the weapon to have even better range, to keep the clone away from him, to avoid getting injured more than he had been by that one hit the clone managed to get in. The clone though, didn’t seem to care, and moved forward. Axel lunged the weapon, but the clone spun out of the way, closing the distance between the two fighters. He focused chakra onto the tip of the weapon, and swung it sideways, pushing the clone away from him with the butt of the weapon. Once the clone was pushed, Axel swung the weapon down, hard, releasing chakra in the arch the weapon moved, creating yet another shockwave that pushed the clone away from him and into the wall. Following that, he took a moment to breath. He brought his legs together and had the weapon’s tip pointing to the ground. Suddenly, the clone bursted out, wildly going for him. Reacting quickly, Axel pushed with all his might against the ground, using the spear as a spring, which allowed him to jump over the clone. While he was in the air, he closed his eyes briefly and gathered chakra. He landed two feet behind the clone and pushing forward with both hands, he rammed the spear through the clone and then released all the chakra he had gathered inside of it and released it inside of the clone, forming into a dozen spears within the clone, ripping it apart.

With all of that work done, Axel left the training area and headed for the plaza.

With a deep breath shiro pushed himself off the desk and headed for the entrance. So many lives were about to be in danger and no matter how he tried, he could not stop himself from wondering how many of them he would never see again. How many lives would be lost, in this venture to protect them. How many letters would he have to write? How many parents, daughters, sons, would he have to embrace and comfort personally.

Satisfied by her current mastery over taijutsu Chloe awoke Bella so that they could travel to the next building over that housed all of the known jutsu of the entire Kumo collective. Bella, who's grumbles were swiftly silenced by a good rubbing behind her ears, followed obediently and with a happy tongue hanging out of her mouth. As they reached the libraries of scrolls Chloe simply placed an arm and scooped as many as she could fit into her arms, off of the walls. Showing no care to even bother reading them over. Half of which of her plunder she passed along to Bella, the ones that matched her chakra natures at least. Thankfully Chloe didn't need to translate for her since her companion had already learned to speak and write in her language. Something that Chloe hadn't always found odd that she understood more of her own language than Chloe understood of her bear language.
Bella sniffed the flimsy paper that fell into her lap curious how this tiny thing could grant strength. Still though she was not going to complain when she had seen the humans mastery over the elements first hand. Knocked aside the huge appendix and began her studying. First with the manipulation of water. Since like most bears Bella had access to the plant based nature such as water and earth. It always been her dream to use to deep forest jutsu that the most powerful of her race had used, but alas these techniques had seemed out of he reach. Focusing on the air around her Bella used her chakra to pull from her surroundings and draw the water from the atmosphere. Surprisingly the process was relatively simply and she was able to accomplish it on the first try. [1/1] Mizu Soujuu [ Water Manipulation ] Learned.
The next jutsu seemed just as simple as the first but much more deadly as it could be used to create weapons for her. Something that it seemed she would sorely need as these humans loved their fancy toys and her own body was remarkably less durable than Chloe's, which certainly was something saying about that girl. Using the first water manipulation jutsu Bella pulled water from the air and used it to wrap around her claws like an extended dagger. Gauntlets would have to be the best she could manage since she lacked the finesse required to wield some of the weapon tools. 1/1 Mizu no Yaiba [ Water Sword ] Learned.
The next jutsu was one the required Bela to utilize the chakra to supplement her chakra for air while she was underwater. One that she figured she would need, since as a bear she would surprising anyone anytime soon unless it was from underwater. [1/3] Obviously the first step was to create a bubble of chakra that could do what her lungs did.The problem was how exactly she should go about this. She had never had any practice with chakra control and in truth before she had even come to this human village, she hadn't even known it's real name. Instead it was always labeled as 'the force of nature'. [2/3] Practicing harnessing this force or whatever it was called, Bella closed her eyes and focused on forming the chakra around her mouth. A small invisible bubble would form to cover most of her body like a coat. [3/3] Suimenka no Kisoku [ Breathing Underwater Technique ]
Moving onto the next water jutsu in the scroll Bella grunted her frustrations as she read through the scroll. These humans were all so vague in everything they described and it only served to act as another barrier to her. [1/5] It took her some time but eventually Bella was able to understand the basic idea of what the jutsu required. Using her first water technique to draw water from the air around her. For what was coming up she would need as much of it as she could get, so Bella spent a larger amount of time gathering it. [2/5] From here came the incredibly uneasy process of shaping this water into the form of a dragon. Of course it was here that Bella hit the figurative wall of sorts. This element in general was so formless and constantly changing that it gave her a headache trying to control all of it's movements at once. [3/5] I mean the very things would fall apart the second she took her attention to another part of the water, which did a remarkable job of destroying any small progress she made at all. [4/5] Eventually it was Chloe herself who came by. Must have been because she saw herself struggling so much. So frustrated was she that Bella didn't even let her usual pride get in the way as Chloe held part of the water dragon up with her own chakra, and allowed Bella to fully create the construct. A grunt and nudge of appreciation showed Bella's satisfaction. [5/5] Ja no Kuchi [ Serpent Mouth ] Learned.
The next jutsu was in theory much simpler than the last. Of course Bella was no normal ninja so it would undoubtedly be harder for her to grasp the fundamentals. The chakra base for this jutsu would be coming from inside of her own stomach so Bella prepared herself, seeing as how she had never actually cast a jutsu that didn't pull from water outside of her. [1/5] Her gut felt like it was rumbling and full in the same way as it does when she eats too much honey at once. With no place for her chakra created water to go other than her mouth Bella began prematurely spitting out globs of water. [2/5] Oh no this whole thing would not do at all. Spurred on by the laughter from Chloe, Bella condensed as much her water as she could in her cheeks. Using her chakra to artificially boil it in her mouth Bella spit it out as a projectile. Which at first worked out really well. [3/5] The problem quickly changed into a similar one as the first. Sure the bolt of water shot out of her mouth and was dangerous in it's own right. There just wasn't enough of it to be a real threat. [4/5] Trying one more time Bella felt like she was on the literal edge of bursting when she spit out the water. Not wanting to let the momentum die here though, Bella continually created water in her gullet to create a super heated and pressurized beam of water. Unfortunately it didn't seem there was a way to effectively breathe during this jutsu so after a time Bella was forced to stop just to catch her breathe. Her mouth felt unnaturally warm but other than that she felt fine. [5/5] Suihou no Jutsu [ Water Cannon Technique ] Learned.
This whole process of learning jutsu was certainly ruff on Bella but she was determined to see it through. This was the only way to get strong enough to protect Chloe as she would be depending on her to be strong and carry her though any mess she got into. [1/5] Now that she had experience in creating water in her stomach Bella began to preform the same thing. With two key differences as this time she would want to create much more water and not have it be so pressurized. If she could preform this successful than a massive wave of water should erupt and fill the near by area. [2/5] No began the real challenge as she her first attempt it seemed that Bella still hadn't mastered the art of created water within herself. Before it had been easy since because the water was shooting out of her mouth she didn't need to create so much at one time and could sort of skimp by. Now however, she needed to crated a large ponds worth in only a few moments. [3/5] To do this Bella figured that bigger equals better right? Summoning up a truly massive amount of chakra Bella's gut rumbled as almost her entire chakra pool congregated into a single place. Yeah it might have been overkill, but she would never understand how to preform the jutsu more efficiently if she didn't know how to preform it at all. [4/5] From here all seemed too easy. Bella regurgitated a vortex of water so plentiful that it shot her upwards into the sky. Waves crashing over herself, the water quickly peaked and spilled into a gigantic wave that crashed down the ground below. Water streaming to every direction until the whole area was covered with it [5/5] Baku Suishouha [ Bursting Water Collision Waves ] Learned.
Cason walked with his teacher to the aforementioned location. He was confused, thought "Mizuki-Sensai. Why here? Why not go to the hospital, where I can actually be of some use" He walked over to one of the training wracks and picked up a Kunai, tossing it between his two hands "My strengths are in human anatomy, and our biology not...this" For emphasis, he threw the knife into the nearby post. He could learn some Ninjutsu, but he primarily needed to get to work on his Medical Techniques. He needed to meet that timeline the Raikage had set after all. Well, he was here, might as well get to work
Taking up a armful of scrolls, he began his learning. The first technique was a basic water manipulation. Using his chakra, he drew moisture from the air and then shaped it. He could upscale this with more chakra but, for now, a gallon was all he needed.
Was this really a jutsu? Hm, okay. He flicked some water from his hand and aimed for a training dummies face. He was confident that, had it had eyes, it would be thoroughly annoyed right now. Moving on.
Okay, this one was slightly better. Using the gallon of floating water he had, Cason weaved a sign. The mirror's surface quickly became reflective. He used it as a mirror and found it was perfect before dispelling the technique.
The next jutsu was a little more offensive. Weaving through the hand signs, he coughed up quite a few balls of water. It almost harmlessly struck the target. Honestly, could hardly serve for more than an annoyance. It had it's uses, he supposed.
Cason held out his arm and manipulated the water. As he did so, a water sword appeared in his grip. Swinging it, he tested out the properties. It cut through a wooden log like butter. Sweet, something actually useful for once.
Switching gears, he pulled out the fuuton scroll. The first technique was a wind clone. Running through the hand signs, he expelled the chakra. Before him was a perfectly good replica of himself. Neat-o!
Tossing a Kunai onto the ground, Cason cast his next jutsu. Weaving through the signs, he expelled the chakra. Instantly, the kunai shot off into the sky. His control of the air allowed it to do so.
Retrieving the Kunai, he held it in one hand to do his next attack. He swung the weapon and held a sign. As he did so a gust of wind shot off. It wasn't strong, but it was something.
He threw the kunai once more. As he did so, the wind gathered behind it. The increased wind spead the knife along and allowed it to move much faster than normal. The increased speed brought increased power. Would be helpful with archery.
Extending his hand, he summoned the wind back to him once more. The breeze retrieved the kunai and brought it back to his hand. Cool, he would never have to retrieve arrows again. That saves time.
He wanted to start from the top to the bottom, and thus set about learning some high level Suiton Ninjutsu, knowing Mizuki would help him out as need be. The first one was a jutsu that let him form a barrier to stop ninjutsu. Weaving through the signs, he expelled a large quantity of water from his gullet. The water then formed a wall in front of him, blocking a large area.
The next technique was one that augmented his strength. Weaving through the signs, water gathered around his arm and increased his muscle mass. This made him throw further and swing harder. It was neat, as he could not use it in a pinch if someone got close to him.
He moved onto his next selection. This jutsu was simply a water creation technique. By weaving through the signs he expelled a large amount of water from his mouth. So as to not flood the academy, he used his water control to keep it in a confined circle. Had it let it go, however, it would have flooded the area around him.
Using the small circle of water, he weaved another set of hand signs. As he did so, two columns of drilling water shot out and connected in the air. Had an opponent been there, they certainly would have been hurt. It was useful, but required a large amount of water to use. He could definitely provide that.
Moving onto Fuuton, he unrolled that scroll. The first technique he was going to learn was simply something that let him move quickly. He weaved through the signs and cast the technique. Instantly, propelling winds shot him across the training area. He stopped just short of a wall, thankfully.
Next move-a wind clone explosion? He created the wind clone and added the extra hand seals. Making it stand far away, he killed it with a knife throw. Instantly the clone erupted in violent winds, slicing everything near by. This would be great to use if he needed a quick get-away.
The next one was a simple offensive technique. Weaving through the signs, he expelled a mass of air from his mouth. The ball shot across the area and impacted a training dummy, cutting it into ribbons while he watched. It was a good jutsu
He supposed he could try something he had been wondering about for some time. Manipulating the bones under his skin, he readied his finger bones. Pointing his index finger at a target, he expelled the bone with all the force he could muster. It shot across the area and blew the proverbial brains out of the straw dummy. So far, so good.
Unslinging his bow off of his back, he decided to get in a few practice shots. He was still novice with it, and could use the training. He drew the arrow to his cheek and let the projectile fly loose. It hit it's marl, 6 inches from the center of mass. Exhaling, Cason knocked another one. He repeated this process, firing from a stationary target, for a half hour. Once he was warmed up, it was time to move onto more advanced things.
He set the targets up so that he could quickly fire from one to another. Cason drew multiple arrows and held them between his fingers as he sighted his ranges. As quick as he could, he drew and shot. Moving from target to target, he repeated the process. It was hard. Moving and sighting and then re-sighting was not easy. He had to work at this for over an hour before he noticed any improvement. It became to where he could walk, draw and fire in one fluid motion. His skills had definitely improved. He still had a ways to go, however.

Moving to the Rising Tower, Mizuki went to the library and grabbed a scroll before looking for Cason. When she linked up with Cason he was so full of questions. Primarily why here instead of the hospital. "Two fold Caso-kun, first is that this building is closer to the plaza where we need to be soon. Second is that I need to teach you some jutsu so that you will actually be of use... I'd hate to leave you out of the fun. Besides we can study anatomy later~" Her final word was punctuated with a smirk as she eyed him once more. The scroll itself was for her, as she would be directly relaying the basics of the techniques she wished to impart upon him verbally.
"Listen up Caso-kun because I do not like to repeat myself. While there's a lot you need to learn, these two techniques will be the most versatile out in the field. You need to concentrate and mold chakra to your hands like so." Holding out her own palms they suddenly flared to life with green energy. "In the simplest form this jutsu can heal minor cuts and scrapes but it is quick and can also lessen the severity of larger injuries. But, if you can do something the old fashioned way and there's time do it that way. I'll explain why some other time. After you get a feel for it try to exert more chakra into it to increase the strength like so." The chakra in Mizuki's palms grew steadily more into a spherical shape as the color became more decidedly green. This was how the more developed version of the jutsu was supposed to look. Unfurling the scroll in her hands, Mizuki began to read the text contained within. She hoped that it would not take her too long to grasp the basics as the were under pressure to get moving. As well she was tired of not having the proper knowledge of efficiently healing broken bones. [1/4] In many ways the process was incredibly similar to how healing hands functioned. By applying healing chakra she could stimulate the bones into producing more calcium and then use that additional calcium to help the bones fuse back together and heal. Of course even that was not the most ideal way to carry out the technique. [2/4] No that would come from adding a supplement to the mix. By giving the patient a calcium pill before applying the technique it would save both time and chakra. In this way she could be more effective in a large scale battle situation. [3/4] Taking a moment to go through the steps in her head once more, she reviewed all the information. It was a lot to take in but it was mostly building upon what she already knew. That made getting it down a lot easier and if she had to use it now Mizuki was pretty confident that she could. [4/4]
Closing the scroll she looked to Cason to see how he was doing with his training. "When you've got it down we should move on."

Cason watched his teacher preform the technique. She was gifted, truly. She moved calmly and gracefully, yet still with deliberate intent. He had no doubt she had used these very same techniques on the dead and the dying many times. As she concluded her explanation, he waited for her to finish practicing her own technique before he attempted it so that she would be available to help him should he need it. "Okay, I will give it a shot" He said, as he unbuttoned the fastenings on his shirt and quickly removed the garment. Despite his size Cason was surprisingly muscled. The years of training, running and good dieting had been kind to him. His body fat was extremely low and all his muscle groups were clearly defined. While not bulky, he still exhibited a calm, whip-like strength. Drawing a kunai, he made a thin but long cut down the side of his ribcage. He winced, but otherwise did not cry out. Immediately, the wound began to bleed. He glanced up at Mizuki and smiled, trying to assure her he wasn't crazy, well, not yet at least. Cason then used the two techniques she showed him plus two more he had learned about previously. First, he blocked the pain using his medical knowledge. Second, he stopped the bleeding. He then used the minor healing hands to knit together the wound internally before using the major one to finish the job. After a minute or so, he wound was completely gone. Throwing the knife from one hand to the next, he smiled at his teacher, still bare from the waist up "Thanks for showing me that technique Mizuki-Sensai! I owe you one. Anything else I can do for you?"
Mizuki watched with anticipation to see how her new student would perform. He seemed to get the hang of it quick enough and she was rather pleased with being able to watch him shirtless. The crimson liquid certainly got her attention, though she had to restrain herself from doing or saying anything obscene. "I'm actually going to head to the plaza personally, don't linger too long, I'll miss you terrible if do~" With that she pocketed the scroll in a pouch in her chuunin vest before leaving. [Exit]

~Current Theme Music~:Buoyant Boogie- Splatoon 2 Prior to the announcement and being what like snubbed by the one he believed to be Miko...albeit it made perfect sense she would assume he was talking to someone else. Toso with a somewhat dower look decided to due what he intended to do. That being finishing up on learning some of the more complex techniques that had eluded him before. He was a changed man now.
One of such techniques was a pipe dream he had had in its early infancy. There were many inking methods, many ways to shape ink before it was fired, so it was always somewhat of an anomaly to him as to why no other Hojo wanted to pursue more methods of doing so. He'd turn to a page he had kept bookmarked. The page in particular being for an inking method he could call his own. One inking method with limitless possibilities.
He called this technique the ink-well formation. It was a difficult combination of chakra control and management of the Hojo bloodline. Mixture management, ink density, ink consistency, these were all factors he had to master. The subjects all seemed beyond him before but ever since working at the restaurant and surviving the ordeals of Endaishima a new light of understanding had awakened inside of him. Toso would begin weaving hand signs.
His cheeks would flare and grow bulbous. His eyes pinched shut from maintaining a constant focus. In his head he would imagine, he would imagine an innumerable amount of things, but he knew he'd have to limit it to one. In his head he imagined a squid. A squid readily about to grab at its prey. He took this image, shrunk it until it was but the only thing that he could see. Then with one definite release produced a squid shaped ink blob flying straight towards the wall with tentacles splayed out. It ended with a splat...but despite this Toso was satisfied. {Inku-ire Keisei 4/4 Meditation 4/4}
Then the announcement came. Toso frowned. Its as if he knew what was coming. Whilst everyone made their mad dashes to the plaza Toso stayed behind for the moment. If what was about to occur was indeed what he imagined he'd need a more versatile arsenal.

•Mystic Hero: The user is much like a hybrid warrior, focusing on mixing ninjutsu into their personal arsenal. Through their great devotion to this path the user can cast ninjutsu without hand seals while wielding a weapon, D at genin, C at chunnin, B at Jounin, A at Konin, and S at Sannin. These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use, as well as require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. The user’s spirit is so strong, that they can utilize their physical bukijutsu techniques to negate ninjutsu techniques of the same rank or below.
___Another day, another technique. In this case, Kaneo turned to something a little bigger, and perhaps more fittingly deadly for their upcoming operation. He still preferred his knife, but he had to admit that it felt good settling into the strong stance with his training scythe. His feet set wide, weapon ready to be leveraged. This one listed itself as a sharpening technique. What exactly that meant as Kaneo read through it wasn't really clear. He thought he got the just of it from the flowery language, but the lack of detail made it hard to tell. With a shrug he tested applying some chakra to his weapon and got back to his training, hoping the strength buffing characteristics had been properly achieved. [ Trim | Rank X (E) | Learned ]
Kaneo shifted directly into training his next technique, a relatively simple one that was simply meant to earn a positioning advantage. Hooking the scythe around the base of the training dummy in front of him and pulled it back towards him. The dummy toppled in short order and the training was complete. Ah, another stance to sift through, this one a little more complex. Something about it seemed off though, like it wasn't actually meant to be used with a weapon. At best it felt like he was getting the weapon out of his way, not readying it for any sort of actual use.[ 1 / 2 ] He supposed it didn't really matter that much at the end of the day. Knees bent, scythe pulled up, didn't seem useful to him but if it was part of the style it was part of the style. On to the next technique, an interesting one to be honest, one that would probably only be truly useful to him at some point in the future. That said, it could be extremely powerful in the right situation. From its position next to his head, Kaneo began spinning his scythe.[ 1 / 2 ] The large weapon tilted over his hand as he twisted his wrist, gaining speed. Soon it was a blur, a blur capable of deflecting attacks. Kaneo moved on to another technique, this one meant to add a simple offensive maneuver to his arsenal. Perhaps not quite what he was hoping for, but useful nonetheless. In this case, it armed him with a technique to create some space, thus giving him an idea on what this style was going to be.[ 1 / 2 ] There wasn't much to it, so he struck out with the blunt side of his weapon, knocking the training dummy back a meter or so. Time to get back to training. Having already recieved some ninjutsu training, he felt it prudent to work on his bow. They were going to war, after all. It would be a good idea for him to be able to lend support. He would practice his stance first. Basic draw and shoot stuff. It was basic, but he needed to perfect it. After that, he went to Full Draw. Brining the arrow back, he let it loose. He kept practicing with that until he was sure his stance was comfortable and elegant. Finally, he placed some chakra in his arrow. As he did so, it glowed bright. Firing, he could see exactly where it landed. Neat.
By focusing Chakra behind his eye he improved his vision. This would be good for making accurate shots. He laid an arrow into a target over 100 meters away with this technique. He then practiced quick firing. Shooting multiple arrows very quickly. The technique made them less powerful, but helped him shoot more. Finally, using his chakra, he created an arrow out of the air. Placing it on a bow string, he fired. This let him hit Ninjutsu out of the air. Very helpful in his mind.
Heading across to the nin training grounds, Kaneo shifted his focus from martial to magical, for a lack of a better word. The first technique was simple, a clone illusion. The genin created with ease, needing little in the way of instructing. He could add what he liked to it, but at its core it was a distraction technique, one meant to overwhelm via its ability to ignore attacks. [ Cloud Clone Technique | Rank D | Learned ]
The rest of Kaneo's techniques would be learned via study, which he dove into shoved away in a comfy corner. His first technique via that method was perfect, more theory than effect. It'd be perfect for confounding the UHV in that maze of a base if it came to it, however. Mirage Minora allowed the Mugen clansman to trick an enemy into thinking they were crossing the same terrain over and over. Not inherent strong, but it would allow him to frustrate a potential tail or advancing enemy force. [ Mirage Minora | Rank D | Learned ]
Continuous Fog was an interesting extension of the Cloud Clone technique that Kaneo had learned earlier. Slightly more expensive, but infinitely more dangerous if paired with Mizuki's jutsu. In theory it was simple, the clones were many instead of few. In practice? Not quite.[ 1/ 3 ] See, while the effect itself was fairly straightforward, achieving it wasn't quite as easy. He'd need to compound his assault on his opponents' minds in order to make the massive number of clones. In essence, that meant doubling his chakra every time, but he'd cover for that by manipulating the strength of the illusions.[ 2 / 3 ] Strategy devised, Kaneo figured he was done. He knew what the illusion was supposed to look like and how it was supposed to function. Shadowmeld was next up on Kaneo's list, and was just for himself. Or rather, for his one on one fights. It would require the proper setting to take full advantage of, but it would make him significantly more lethal.[ 1/ 3 ] In essence it allowed him to create or expand shadows and then blend into them. It wouldn't be much use in a well lit room, but then, when was he ever in a well lit room? Give him a dim forest, dark passageway, or something along the like and he could make himself disappear.[ 2 / 3 ] In that way it was a good mask for Kaneo's lack of exceptional physical ability. The Kinmukugan was great at tracking, that much was for sure, but it lacked in fight utility and hopefully this would help mask that. Shadow Swell was like Shadowmeld on steroids. It was less a utility jutsu, however, as much as it was a traditional gentusu. It was meant to shock, frighten, and otherwise mentally disarm a foe.[ 1/ 3 ] While its ability to expand a shadow into all encompassing darkness was technically more powerful than Shadowmeld, it was also less conspicuous. It would be harder to hide that an opponent was under the effect of a mind altering spell if everything went black. That said, those unable to do anything about it would be at a severe disadvantage.[ 2 / 3 ] It was that last bit that Kaneo valued most as he read over the technique. He also figured, even as a momentary disadvantage, it'd be nice to have a good way to force a target he was tracking to just stop and deal with something. One last clone technique, and Kaneo would be perfectly suited to take advantage of Mizuki's distractions. This one was the most complex yet. It required him to manage his illusion across a variable number of clones, instead of just large or small.[ 1/ 5 ] Like the previous two clone techniques, those created via this genjutsu could not hit or be hit, at least not in a traditional sense. Instead, when struck, they would break apart and coalesce into separate entities.[ 2 / 5 ] While not useful for damage, it could be a neat way to wear out an enemy who wasn't alert. It would also play nicely with Mizuki's mist, giving him a seemingly endless supply of attackers for an opponent to respond to.[ 3 / 5 ] This would be one better used in close or concealed environments, where Kaneo could use it to disguise his own attacks. The list of deadly clone ability at his disposal would also make this an interesting technique if he expanded his standard ninjutsu. He could only imagine the frustration of hitting clones over and over and getting no results.[ 4 / 5 ] He'd have to be careful though, manipulation his illusion, to not overextend himself. The last technique on Kaneo's laundry list of new toys wasn't much of a toy. Instead it was a more subtle form of what he could potentially one day do as an Oinin. Extract information with ruthless efficiency.[ 1/ 5 ] In some ways the interrogation technique was less ruthless, in others more. It was forceful takeover of the target's mind to force them to give up information. What situation they were put in, how severe or otherwise, was entirely up to him from what he could tell.[ 2 / 5 ] Naturally this wasn't something he'd try on a comrade. Too invasive, mean if he wanted it to be. Not something you subjected someone too unless necessary.[ 3 / 5 ] That said, he could convince a target they'd been gravely wounded with the touch of his hand. Whether or not they'd get useful information out of that was another thing entirely. But he could get information.[ 4 / 5 ] All he had to do now, was devise methods which might cause one of the UHV goons to give up the goods. That, he lacked necessary information for. When Shiro first began to speak of the other red head she didn't really understand why. Eventually it became clear to her. He was to be assigned under her command as part of what was to be squad three. Part of her was very curious as to where the boy's strong suits were though dealing with a minor was giving her a small measure of anxiety. As it stood they leaned towards a support role when factoring in Kaneo. Mizuki was a trained in general shinobi medicine with a special education in psychology and had an aptitude for sensor techniques thanks to her innate sixth sense. Kaneo as well was good in a recon capacity from what she had seen. While her own kekkei genkai packed a punch and she did know both suiton and katon techniques they weren't as strong as what some others could do. It would be interesting to see what their squad dynamic would be. However before she could really got lost in such matters, there was the obnoxious two D monster to be dealt with. Paperwork.
