Taking a drag of his smoke he watched as the hologram of Tosa appeared. Gripping his chair he listened to the message as arcs of visible golden lightning started to stream across his body. He knew full well that he could not directly help his friend. He could not risk the UHV invading and him not being here to aid its defense. That fact was one that only further pushed his anger to the breaking point. Standing up he quickly grabbed his chair and sent it flying into the wall where it exploded into shards. Taking a deep breath he held it for a moment before taking a long drag of his smoke. Exhaling it slowly through his nose he knelt before Kenshin and took his rapier into one hand and extended his other to pull him to his feet,"Dont bow like that. I am no better then any of you. I hate leaders who demand their subjects kneel and bow. I would rather you stand proud among your fellows." Pulling a kunai from his belt he pulled the rapier out about an inch from its scabbard. With deft movements he engraved the villages symbol into the weapon as he continued,"You wish to be a servant of justice and order. An honorable goal and one I will support you in." Extending the mans weapon he smiled,"From today forward you are sword to slay the enemies of this village, and a shield to protect its people and allies." With a quick gesture towards Selina he nodded,"She can square you away and get you started over there. I look forward to seeing your progress. Though I would council you to keep yourself battle ready at all times."
Taking a long drag from his smoke he set about his next task, he was up a creek and now he was going to blow that creek to hell and back. Snapping his fingers two identical fox masked anbu appeared,"Find Natsume. Let her know that she is to change ops effective immediately. Open the dragon to them for whatever supplies they need within reason. Make sure they include at least four extra communicators. Their mission is to reinforce the forward team that Toso took. If Toso himself isnt located then Unki is in command" Pulling a small map out he handed it to the anbu,"tell them to follow that course exactly. They can take one of the remaining frigates in the bay." Taking another drag he blew this one out through his nose as he gained a dark and harsh face,"She is to relay the following orders. Recover Toso and his family and then secure the island. However if Toso is dead, their orders are to murder those responsible with extreme prejudice. Teach them what happens when they endanger my shinobi's lives."
Facing the woman who identified herself as "Clockwork" he took another drag of his smoke,"As a rule I generally dont trust people who wont tell me their name. As for your work I am sure I can find you something to do. Though frankly what interests me the most is information. So what do you know and what do you want for it?"

Natsumi heard a variation of her name being called and she moved over to see who it was. None other than the Raikage talking about her as he huffed and puffed on his cigarette. As she moved she practically danced with her graceful movements as she walked back over to him. She would talk with her students later about what was expected of them. She stood near him as he was instructing an anbu member what to say to her. Her head tilted a bit as she found it odd honestly. Before he was saying her name right and even gave her a nickname. Now he was getting her name wrong. Licking her lips she spoke up after he finished his instructions.
"Natsumi, Natsu, or Ao," She began as she walked to the Raikage. "My name is not Natsume." She corrected him as her glowing blue eyes focused upon him. There was something new within her eyes as something stood behind them. Something that wasn't there before she became a full fledged shinobi and started training. "It would be smarter to have the two stay back. They are tired from fighting each other where as I'm fully rested. I would advise keeping them here and safe as I could join Unki much faster on my own. If you wish this to happen send an anbu messanger to me in twenty minutes or less. Other than that it shall be done." She tightened her head band a bit that was truly one of a kind as she turned to give orders to her students. "You two have twenty five minutes to quickly run for food and wolf down what you can. Recover as best as possible and meet me at the gates. If you are late I will leave you behind."
She directed of her students as she began to walk out of the dojo. It didn't take long for her mother and father to track her down and they entered with smiles on their faces. "Hi Natsu~" Her mom practically shouted to her as Natsu walked by without a second though. Her father was about to say something until Natsu spoke without looking back. "Not now, go back home." She directed to her parents. While her mother was taken back and slightly upset her father understood perfectly. She had become apart of something much bigger than herself. As her mother looked like she was about to cry her father flipped it into a positive. "Look at how strong she's become." Her father said proudly as he managed to turn his wife's mood into a better one.
Just as she had left so too did her family shortly after she did. She was on her way to purchase the necessary items for their mission. Natsu sure as hell wasn't about to fail this mission. They had a member of the village in danger on an island. Natsu would bring him back with the team she was apart of. [Exit]
● Mystic Hero: The user is much like a hybrid warrior, focusing on mixing ninjutsu into their personal arsenal. Through their great devotion to this path the user can cast ninjutsu without hand seals while wielding a weapon, D at D-rank, C at C-rank, B at B-rank, A at A-rank, and S at S-rank. These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use, as well as require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. The user’s spirit is so strong, that they can utilize their physical bukijutsu techniques to negate ninjutsu techniques of the same rank or below.
● Resolution: The user is more determined to get fine details from his sensory techniques, but in order to get this type of clarity the user's range of the technique is reduced by half. The user is able to discover type of technique that is about to be active (fuuin, genjutsu, ninjutsu, custom jutsu, complex tai and buki), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank. Additionally, the user can gain similar information about any chakra source in their sensory technique's range, including what bloodline the person possesses, assuming the user has seen the bloodline before, and approximately how large their chakra pool is.
● Resolution 2: Members of the Resolution discipline have three-quarters the range, instead of half.
● Skill: Multitasking While the first two stages of the style revolve around the very basics of how to use a bow, the third stage incorporates the use multiple arrows into a more stylish way of battling. Mastery allows the user to simultaneously fire multiple arrows with any technique that does not specifically state otherwise, and allows the Arrow Creation technique to create up to three arrows at once with no increase in cost.
● Skill: Manipulation Manipulating the bow itself is simple, but controlling the arrows is very difficult. Many enhancements can be made to arrows to give them different flight paths, but buying those kinds of arrows is expensive and making them is difficult, so a method was developed wherein the user can freely alter how an arrow flies without need for such trifles. During this training, the user practices firing arrows with abnormal hand positions. Reduces the Stamina cost of bow-related Bukijutsu techniques (including Formless Styles) by 10 Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina.
● Manipulating Line An addition to the technique Calling Cord. By laying a good amount of additional chakra into the strings wrapped around the projectiles, the user is able to fully control the length, direction, and movement of the strings. Thus, allowing for incredibly diverse attacks from all angles. Automatically applied after learning.
● Kemuri no Shikaku [ Sight through Smoke ] The practitioner grows accustomed to the way smoke flows around them and others. The practitioner's vision is no longer adversely affected by their smoke bombs.
● Offensive Style: Knife Stances The user becomes more accustomed to upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions. Speed of all Bukijutsu employing small arms is mildly increased.
● Offensive Style: Simple Play With this training, the user is able to more comfortably switch between upward, downward, and sideways slashing motions in a pinch. The user's reflexes are mildly increased.
● Trick Style: Knife Toss The practitioner has developed a greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the hilt with ease. Confers a slight reflex bonus to the practitioner.
● Offensive Style: Artless Draw The practitioner has better developed their ability to pull their blade straight from its resting place to an offensive slash. Slightly increases the speed of strikes made when drawing a small weapon.
● Offensive Style: Two-fer-One The practitioner is now accustomed to performing techniques they have mastered with either one or two knives. Once per post, the user may use a single D-Rank or lower technique from this Style without paying the cost.
● Trick Style: Retreating Feet The practitioner, already acquainted with many techniques in the style, has finally realized that with a little bit of personal training, they are able to increase the precision and speed at which they lift and press their feet. The practitioner's footsteps are rendered silent to all who do not have enhanced hearing, and the footsteps they leave in soft ground are shallow. This not only assists their ability to sneak up on people faster and quieter, but also helps when running from trackers.
● Trick Style: Blade’s Edge The practitioner has developed an even greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the tip with ease. Additionally, some projectiles, such as shuriken or kunai, can be caught by their tip. Confers a slight increase to the user's reflexes.
__ With her training complete, it was time to return to her other duties. Ada made her way back inside the academy and wandered the corridors. She was making her way back to the entrance so she could return to KPD headquarters, but happened to spot Selina amongst others in another room. A gentle smile and subtle wave was given to her partner for a moment of attention. Ada didn't want to interrupt, but wouldn't mind getting back to work with her little magical girl friend again if she were available.

__ After he knelt and professed his duty he received an invitation to join the KPD from an...unusual source. When he glanced over and saw that the voice came from a small girl in a pink dress he was unsure on to how to react. His face remained in its stone expression, but from within he suspected that he was being pranked. It was in that moment that he stared up at the raikage in a puzzled fashion, his reaction was not as Kenshin rehearsed in his head, this man was different. Kenshin offered him his rapier and rose to his feet after accepting his hand. He maintained perfect eye contact with the raikage as he spoke and became speechless when he heard his words. Kenshin was waiting for his entire life to hear a superior tell him those exact words. He watched him engrave the proud cloud of Kumogakure into his rapier in admiration. "I am the sword to slay the enemies of this village and the shield to protect its people and its allies." He held out both hands and accepted his rapier. Kenshin then strapped it to his waist and saluted his leader. "Yes sir!" The loyal man's simple response was of two words, but they spoke thousands of words as he confirmed the new purpose he was given.
Next, he approached the small girl, he now firmly believed that she was who she said she was based on the raikage's recognition. This meant that now he could finally join the Kumogakure Police Department. "Yes ma'am, after you." His tone was respectful as he waited for her to take the lead.
_______________ ≎Out Of Context≎ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Exit after Selina Rosewater
A long sigh left Mizuki's lips at all the bravado going around. So the blooper was in trouble, it wasn't the end of the world. With her own talent and presumably Natsu they could provide quite the reinforcements. Why fret so much over it? "I'll see you there then sweet senpai~" Was all the green haired woman had to say about it. Of course she was rather nonchalant about the whole situation, Mizuki was Kumogakure's eternal optimist. Partly because she worked hard and played hard, often at the same time. Regardless, she would be prepared for this mission. As she was not hungry in the slightest, perhaps the twenty minutes she had before a run to the gate was enough to study some scrolls for a review before leaving.
Walking to the scroll repository section of the tower, the woman sought to look over some techniques while she gained her wind back. Grabbing an eseijutsu scroll she got to work on her rapid review. Bandages can mean the difference between life and death but unfortunately bandages can run out. Objects such as grass, sand, water and many others can be woven together over a wound to create a temporary bandage. The bandage lasts for about five minutes without a supply of chakra from the medical nin. [1/1] [ Gantai no Jutsu [ Bandage Skill ] ] [ Resting ]
Poisoning could be a real and serious issue in the field, as such it was up to medic nin to assist in removing such hazards. In this case a certain technique known for it's ability to remove poisons could be quite helpful. Such a technique would prove quite valuable down the road. [1/1] [D - Rank] Continuing to review and read, Mizuki focused on the specific applications of removing a small quantity of poison from a victim. In particular she read about how such an action could buy more time or even prevent death. Though she had no clue if removing poison would be needed on this mission, it couldn't hurt to review this technique. [2/2] [Jokyo Dokubutsu [ Poison Removal ] B-Rank ] [ Resting ]
Another helpful trick in the medic nin's arsenal had to do with stopping bleeding. Bandages and healing hands were great but sometimes you won't have time to employ them right away. In this case Mizuki read about how she could use her chakra to force blood in a wound to coagulate and seal it off. [1/1] [ Keksuki Gyouko [ Blood Coagulation ] ] [ resting ]
Sometimes in battle a heart may experience irregular beating or stop entirely. In these circumstances a patient would quickly die. However for a medical nin such a situation could at least be put on pause while attempts to restart the heart were employed. One could utilize their chakra to force blood to move through the body. [1/1] [ Ketsuekijunkan [ Circulation of the Blood ] ] [ Resting ]
As Mizuki continued to read she saw that if a patient was unconscious, just circulating the blood wasn't enough. People needed oxygen and so that would need to be supplied as well if the victim was unconscious. This technique could make the lungs fill with air and help the heart to beat. [1/1] [ Sansokyoukyuu [ Oxygen Supply ] ] [resting]
All this reading about circulation and blood got Mizuki thinking. She needed to learn how to perform a transfusion. Looking through the index, she found a technique to do just that. After reviewing it a couple times she had a pretty good idea of how to do it. [1/1] [ Chishio Tensou no Jutsu [ Blood Transfusion Skill ] ] [ resting ]
Whether from frostbite, her corrosive steam, bacterial infect, or anything else tissue could die and necrotize. That tissue was quite harmful and represented a serious health risk. According to the text there was a technique that remove such tissue without harming the surrounding tissues. Reading up on it gave Mizuki a pretty good idea of how it worked. [1/1] [ Eshi Tekijo [ Necrotic Flesh Removal ] ] [ resting ]
Coming across a mental based technique caused the woman to stop for a moment. It most likely wouldn't be all that useful on this next mission but it was within her specialty. As such she should know it. The short version was that it allowed a patient to relive a memory. Then she could apply her training to help them to get past that memory. [1/1] [ Shinteki Ijutsu [ Mental Medicine ] ] [ resting ]
When dealing with shock, or simply hazardous weather, being able to control one's body temperature could be quite useful. With this in mind Mizuki made sure to stop and red up on how to manipulate the body's temp. It was simple enough after all her time training at the hospital. [1/1] [ Ondochousetsu [ Temperature Control ] ]
The coagulation technique wasn't entirely effective against deeper or larger wounds. As such Mizuki needed to learn something a little more advanced. Searching through the scroll she eventually found it. [1/2] Known as bleeding suppression it could be applied to far larger wounds. By building up pressure between one's palms and the wound, the bleeding could be stopped. However it did mention that such an action tended to cause bruising and stagnating blood. [2/2] [ Shiketsuzai [ Bleeding Suppression ] ]
It was good to have reviewed so many useful medical treatment skills. However Mizuki also needed to be able to defend herself. As such the X-ray technique was rather appealing. Reading through its details she grasped the concept easily. [1/1] However noticing how useful it was, cause her to want to study it more in depth. Searching out a more advanced scroll Mizuki found a more detail analysis of the technique. With that she could hopefully advance it further. [1/2] The information was quite descriptive and helped greatly. It really left the woman feeling like she understood how to form the attack better. No doubt it would leave her with a stronger technique. [2/2] [ Rentogen [ X-Ray ] B-Rank ]
At this point she'd reviewed a lot of medical and to prevent herself from going brain dead it was probably best to switch topics. Grabbing a scroll on fuuinjutsu she looked to learn something different In this case she started learning about sealing things. [1/1 E] The process was rather interesting. Utilizing intricate inscriptions one could essentially create space with chakra and store objects within. It was pretty cool. [1/1 D] Of course this also meant that meant it required a fine degree of control in creating the seal. Something that wouldn't be a problem for a medical ninja like herself. Perhaps that was why she'd heard about sealing often overlapped with those who study the medical arts. [1/1 C]. As she continued to read about the topic it became a little harder to understand. The information about inscriptions was becoming more complex. As were the inscriptions themselves. [1/2] Powering through the reading, Mizuki endeavored to at least complete the current chapter. It was rather tough but she was able to grasp it. With a heavy sigh she moved onto another aspect of fuuinjutsu. [2/2] [ Fūnyū no Jutsu [ Enclosing Technique ] B-rank ]
As one might expect, sealing was only half of fuuinjutsu. While inscriptions could be used to create space using chakra, they could also be used to unlock such spaces. This was the opposite and counter part to sealing that made fuuinjutsu whole. [1/1 E] By utilizing certain inscriptions one could retrieve objects from within seals. Sometimes it didn't even require chakra to open a seal. Of course that depended on how it was set up. [1/1 D] In other cases one could pull things from across vast distances. Apparently fuuinjutsu was known for it's connection to space-time ninjutsu. For Mizuki, such abilities would be rather useful. [1/1 C] It didn't take a genius to understand that unsealing could allow her to bring medical tools or medicines out into the field in a way that was unobtrusive. With that in mind she continued to study the art of unsealing with diligence. Soon it was all coming together. [1/2] While the reading was becoming more difficult, she was still managing to understand the text. Eventually her brain swelled with new information about the unsealing process. It left her feeling rather satisfied in her new knowledge. [2/2] [ Kaifū no Jutsu [ Unsealing Technique ] B-rank ]
Knowing what she now knew about fuuinjutsu, Mizuki understood that as medical ninja she would have need for the ability to summon things at will. The summoning technique was a space-time jutsu which would serve that exact purpose. After studying it for sometime, Mizuki felt like she could replicate it. [1/1] [ Kuchiyose no Jutsu [ Summoning Technique ] ]
With that little mental jaunt out of the way, she could return to studying medical techniques. Retaining corpses for transportation, study, or experimentation was a rather important part of a medical shinobi's job. Thanks to her extensive training the basics of fuuinjutsu it wasn't too hard to learn the proper sealing algorithms. [1/1] [ Shiyou Seishin [ Experimental Bodies ] ]
After learning how to store bodies another technique caught the woman's eye. This one would allow her to disguise the appearance of the deceased and also reanimate them. In this way the body could serve as a distraction or diversion for Mizuki. [1/2] Overall it was quite useful sounding. Reading up on it further it seemed like it was definitely a useful skill to have. Committing the information to memory, she would move on shortly. [2/2] [ Shikon no Jutsu [ Dead Soul Technique ] ]
The standard diagnosis technique was indeed helpful, but it didn't actually let her see what was going on. It only relayed some information to the mind. This technique would actually project an image of what was within. Quite useful really. [1/1] [ Onkyoutai [ Body Echoes ] ]
While browsing through the information Mizuki came across another technique that was pertinent to her field. It was essentially a more specialized version of the diagnosis technique. In effect, it would allow the woman to search explicitly for mental issues both physical, drug, and emotion wise. The information contained within the scroll was a great boost to her understanding of the technique. [1/1] [ Shindan: Shinkyou [ Diagnosis: Mental State ] ]
Now that she knew some things about fuuinjutsu it would also be valuable to to learn how to store and summon medical tools. Obviously she had learned techniques to make do without but it'd be so much better if she could utilize her tools in the field. To that end she studied thoroughly the information pertaining to such a technique. By the time she was finished with that part of the scroll she had a good understanding of the technique. [1/1] [ Kuchiyose: Eiseimono [ Summon: Medical Tools ] ]
As she perused the medical scrolls, Mizuki came across an enhanced version of the diagnosis technique. In essence it would relay more information so long as she had encountered it before. It would serve as an on hand medical text which pulled its information from her very own memories. Quite useful indeed. [1/1] [ Shindan: Ni [ Diagnosis: Two ] ]
Having exhausted of what she was currently allowed to look at, Mizuki found one final technique to learn. Part tool and part weapon it would be a useful thing to know. The chakra scalpel it was called. [1/2] This technique would create a blade of chakra which could then target the insides of a persons body. When used as a tool one could perform surgery without breaking the skin. When used as a weapon would could attack vital tissues while bypassing the skin. Committing the information to memory, she would move on to something else. [2/2] [ Chakra no Mesu [ Chakra Scalpel ] ]
With her reviewing complete, Mizuki left to go grab some supplies for the rescue mission. [Exit]

Both of them were running full speed and had to stop suddenly before getting to the dojo. There was quite a few people leaving, so Hakanai went ahead and went in since there was room at the door for two people to fit. Shukenja, being the massive brute he was, there was no way he was getting through that door without bumping into anyone. Once there was enough room, the hybrid managed to get into the dojo and plopped down onto the floor, which vibrated the structure beneath. He stuck out his tongue and started to clean himself of dirt, grime, blood, and maybe some glass pieces he had yet to find. Meanwhile, Hakanai looks like she had gone crazy with a hair that was in a braid but it was completely disheveled. She had found Shiro and almost spoke immediately but remembered that it was disrespectful to do so. Instead, her jaw clamped shut as she waited to be acknowledge. Her arms crossed across her chest as she tried to run many thoughts through her brain of how to word out her report from what she observed to her opinion....

___Kaneo sighed as everyone went their separate directions. He had kinda figured this was headed somewhere, but hey... he couldn't make make Mizuki join him and even if he could, he wouldn't. For now he'd head off to get a short rest, having been far more drained than Mizuki during their recent spar. [/exit]
Tsukiko jumped from one foot to the next outside of the dojo. She had rushed to the Raikage's office after graduation, but the secretary had simply reported that he was out and about in the village. Chi seemed unperturbed - the cheetah was never bothered, it seemed - and lead Tsukiko away. The speed release user had suspected that she was being lead to the marketplace in order to purchase another bowl of milk for her partner, but here she was in front of the dojo, immediately aware of her partner's purpose.
It made sense that the Raikage would be here anyways. Most shinobi stick around training areas, either to actually train or spar or just bullshit in a safe area. She was excited to see her classmates and brothers in arms, too. There was potential for partners or for squadrons and she couldn't wait to see what direction she'd be pulled in!
She danced a little before she took a deep breath and centered herself. She entered the dojo to find a variety of shinobi of shapes and sizes and expertise, some training with weapons, others their fists, others with elemental attacks. She stood stock still at the entrance to take it all in, but Chi pressed against her gently and moved forward, so Tsukiko followed.
They found the Raikage quickly, though he was in the middle of a conversation. She clasped her hands behind herself and swayed side to side as she waited for a lull to interject about her headband.

I wrote this post once (it was beautiful) and gaia ate it. >:0
__Yay! Big scary Raikage gave permission for Kenshin to join. Maybe he wasn’t that bad. She didn’t like what he had to say too much, but this time he was good. Selina grabbed Kenshin by the wrist tightly as she went to leave. “To the KPD!” She cheered. The girl disappeared with the boy.
That was it, there was nothing more he could do to help Toso. Reinforcements were deployed and now he waited for news. Which honestly he was starting to hate the waiting more then the idea of sending his soldiers, his friends into battle like that. Brushing his hair back he listened to clockworks report on the angel spores. He had learned all about them in medical school as well as methods to treat it. Though hearing that the UHV intended to weaponize it made his skin crawl,"Chemical and biological warfare. They cant really be that desperate can they? That they would resort to something that is damned by literally every civilized people on this continent?" Pinching his nose he sighed heavily. If they were resorting to that he would need to rethink the standard issue kit he was going to outfit everyone with. Extending his hand he nodded,"Thank you for that information. But I would like your name, your real name. You already know who I am but for the sake of introductions, Shiro Chosokabe."
Turning his attention to Hanaki he smirked a bit, she looked like hell boiled over. Waving her and the new girl both over he chuckled,"You good Hanaki? You look like you lost a fight with a bear." Addressing the other woman he nodded,"And your name kid?"

Hakanai; Chakra: 160/440 Stamina: 180/290
Shu started to growl, his throat was low and rumbling. Hakanai looks towards to where he was growling at and she saw another cat, a cheetah. Interesting. Not many those up here because it was a cold climate in Kumogakure. Hakanai waved her hand in front of the hybrid to silence him. Shukenja obeyed but his eyes were still fixated on the new cat. Then she saw the Raikage had turned his attention to her and motion for both of the tamers to go see him. Hakanai blinked when she hears the mispronunciation of her name and almost snorted when he asked if she had a fight with a bear as she sighed. "You can call me Haka for short," She started as she still thought of how to word this right, "I'm here to give you a report. I already have it in writing and I will turn it in but... I do have some concerns. I went to go find them as you said. They seemed to avoid the open fields and attack hard where our trades are such as supply posts. When they do attack, the glass wolves leaves tracks. Shu and I searched within a radius from the battle point and we couldn't find any tracks. I suggest to try to have a sensor and tracker combined to try to locate them. Another thing I am concerned about, yes, they are so easy to break... but here's the thing. They seemed to be never ending. They stopped for a bit, and more are produced. It's a repetitive style. Here's my concern, the glass wolves are wearing out the shinobi of Kumogakure. We are wasting our chakra and energy to break them so they won't damage our trading supplies. I do believe that eventually, there will be very little shinobi on the lines who can keep up and we'll get overwhelmed and fast. Once we get overwhelmed, if I was planning this, I would then send my next best wave to cause much pain and destruction on a level." Hakanai remained standing before Shrio as her hands were at her side. Shukenja was behind her, resting on the floor and grooming himself to get the dirt and grime off of him. He even found few glass in his mane. He was still keeping an eye on that cat.

The amount of information being fed into the Raikage was overwhelming even for her, even though most of it went over her head. Tsukiko looked down at Chi quickly when she heard a growl, but it wasn't from her cat. The cat besides - ah, Hakanai - had growled at Chi, who's only response was a wary lift of her head. The cheetah was so confident in her own ability to evade that she didn't worry about large targets in general. But this was a shinobi animal and it could be trained in a multitude of ways.
Once the Raikage turned to her, she responded automatically with, "Tsukiko Akahina! I hail from Takigakure, of the Shounin no Gouzoku Clan." The name may or may not ring a bell, so she offered what she could to assist. Her residence in Kumogakure was reaching five years but she was still a foreigner - she wasn't sure she'd ever shake that feeling. But her jinton release might help her perform well enough to earn her keep in the village, so she wasn't out of the count quite yet. "I just graduated from the shinobi academy and I'm looking to receive my headband and any directives you may have at this time."

Salamander. That name lingered to him as an ironic nickname ever since he left home, one he came to hate with its ironic mocking to his ideals. Now it was the same thing as it were in the academy, an open flame enough to reach out and spark the wet fuse of a powder keg. After some time, an ironic name would soon stick with the easy roll of the tongue and ammunition for getting a quick reaction out of someone. Today someone had felt brave enough on wanting to light that fuse and now it backfired as it was answered with a heavy crack to a heavyset man's jaw. The instigator snapped his head to the side as spittle flew from his mouth and then crashed to the floor with a heavy smack, out cold. 1/3
Zahara rolled his shoulder while cracking the fluids in his neck with a good loud snap and pop. A few around him hadn't expect him to physically react and actually took a few steps back to avert his stony gaze. He had looked around at the others to see if they worked up courage to goad him again, to feel their ego and feel the some need of revenge. There was nothing among them though as silent eyes glared for an open challenge, daring and even hoping to instigate something from one of people to perhaps lock horns with the big fella's buddy. With a set jaw, rolled up fists and long hard stare scanning the small group like a searchlight, he got a reaction as one barked up as a small smile played upon his lips. 2/3
He approached, arms moving and mouth flapping unheard words as Zahara only watched with an intent stare. Like a tiger waiting for an ambush, he only stood there as the prey wandered on over to it unknowing. The boasting/bragging man worked himself up as he did the people watching the coming fight, ringing around the duo ready to cheer and jeer. While he did, Zahara kept his small smile and waited for the right moment and sure enough the flapping mouth seemed agitated before he threw out a punch. What came next was practically both the start and end of any fight that was supposedly expected. In a single instant, he moved slightly to the side to duck and met the chin of the wannabe opponent with a rising uppercut and snapped him into a blissful boxer's nap. 3/3
Zahara slowly shook his head as the second fool dropped to the floor like a rock, drool running down the side of his face as he lay next to the heavyset fellow who poked at him earlier. He sneered, spat to the ground and adjusted his coat, straightening it from the momentary distraction. There were a few reasons to be in the local training ground, and one of them was not to slug a fool or two for jabbing fingers in the man's pride. Best to take that as a quick lesson in CQC and let it roll off like water off a duck's a**.
For a short bit he wandered through the hall, only familiar with the place from his few times in the Dojo when it meant practice fights. He hated displaying unnecessary violence when it didn't achieve anything, simplicity was his M.O. Here he heard the Kage, Leader, whatever name, had been lingering around there for a bit and he figured it'd be best to go straight to the source than waste time in the office for an absent meeting.
After a bit of deliberation he believed to have found the man behind the name. A red haired gentleman was talking with another person, most likely a shinobi judging by the super sized feline. He had his distance back a ways, not wanting to barge in on a conversation yet just close enough to overhear what was being said just as he addressed another woman with a nod. Casual, but still appropriate to a man of his position as he heard the information flow from the other shinobi replying to the Kage. Most of it was names and information that meant nothing of any significance to him other than hearing it was a report.
Takigakure. Another foreigner? The woman snapped almost immediately when the red haired man acknowledged her and Zahara only observed but drew himself closer. He walked with a slow gait, mostly appearing uninterested but disguising it as his way of not wanting to speak so much with the others than what was necessary. So it was better for him to just wait it out as he calmly took a place not too far from them.
She seemingly spoke for what he wanted as well Admittance into the official ranks of the village, mentioning recent graduation in the same sentence. Zahara raised a single hand lazily over his head with fingers slightly curled save for the index and middle. "Zahara Kevali, I'm here for the same reason as she." As he spoke, his arm lowered and went right to his side with a stony gaze flicking between each person.
Arriving just ahead of the girl from Takigakure, the twins caught sight of Shiro, and felt the way the chakra flowed in his body as a residual from the Sage Mode they may or may not have tapped into on their way to the academy. There was something to be said about how the Sages were so liberal about their use of natural energy, but no one had told them they shouldn't. Jeon, wearing her usual training attire, showing off toned abs and arms with loose pants that could have actually belonged to her brother. Speaking of him, Jay came in behind his Big Little sis wearing an black and gold gi, open in the centerline down his chest. The two bounded to either walls flanking the dojo and ran at an upward angle, totally free of any need for chakra. It became clear then that they were also barefoot. Who needed shoes when the flow of the universe could keep your feet safe? They coiled their legs and bounced free, landing on either side, and behind Shiro. Standing proud, they half expected him not to notice the difference in their appearnace at all, even though Jeon was six whole inches taller than she was before.
They put some distance, moving farther into the dojo and taking their Naginata from Jay's back. It was time for some more training after the two weeks they spent in the forge. To start, after removing the leather they used to cover the blades, the duo approached and aimed their weapons at each other. There was a split second of motion and the two weapons impacted each other. There were sounds like a combination of monkey screeches and martial artist exclamations as they went at each other with basic movements. Chops met thrusts, parries deflected attacks, and a couple of times the hafts of each weapon struck each other. Medium weight polearms were where they felt at home. With a naginata they were more than apt, as they showed. Even without a specific style, a form if you will, the duo were highly dangerous with pole arms. The movements became more masterful gradually since the writer decided he would write one large block of text as opposed to spacing his training out like a normal human being. A spin of the weapon added complexity and mystery to an attack made by Jeon, and Jay used the weapon's pommel to leap over it and come down with a slam that Jeon avoided by the hair on her head. She swung the pommel of her own weapon, feeling the vibration as he stopped the attack, and she turned to deliver the other end of the weapon at him. In a flurry of furious motion the yougner male scooped up her weapon and delivered it back to the ground on the otherside of his frame before swatting it aside. Jeon, not one to be shown up, moved with him and the two both took outward steps and crashed their weapons together with a strike coming off of their backpedal. To watch their dance was like watching a pair of expert spearmen, neither with a clear advantage. As for the discipline, Jay and Jeon favored keeping their feet on the ground and directing the flow of energy with their core and upper body before they picked up the spear skills. As it were now they were becoming more and more apt when it came to using everything. Perhaps it was the sage energy, molded to make them more like monkeys but more than once the two ended up standing on the pommels of their grounded weapons and attempting to knock the other down, only to spiral around the weapon and uproot the opposing one. At no point did the weapons leave their bodies, however. [DCB of Formless Medium Spear Naginata]
For a warmup, that wasn't bad, but the twins had a specific style they were here to learn, and as such the time to begin was upon them. A quick stab was the frist skill, and it forced a full extension of their body. It was clumsy, a bit impractical on it's own but as far as the two were concerned all things had their uses. [Forceful Lunge]
The next skill was similar to a maneuver they were already used to doing. They mvoed themselves and swung their weapons when making distance primarily as a way to deal more damage while taking less, or to scare people back while keeping distance. Backpeddaling, after all, was at the core of any spear fighter worth their salt, and always had it's place. [Bo Strike]
A staple of this style was that through proper application of strength and focus the user could perform basic, often unmasterful looking attacks to crush and cave in an opponent's defenses. This skill was one of those that would bring forth that kind of effect for sure. With a simple thrust, and then a strike to the butt of the weapon Jeon and Jay were easily likely to crush a defensive skill with that basic application of skill. [Piercing Thrust]
The next skill was one basic sweeping skill that was likely to break a few ankles and hurt a few feelings should the undisciplined come at them. With a sweep, aimed low, and a bit of timing they could completely deny someone their speed. Anyone being stubborn would feel the full brunt of their strength from the attack. [Sweeping Strike]
Jeon so loved attacks that opened the door to other attacks. Double Strike, so named for it's ability to open up the defense of the opponent if it struck, was one such attack. With the haft, the first attack aims to deal damage and open up the opponent before the rest of the weapon can be swung around for a second, separate attack. Reading this scroll over was giving them both such great ideas for the use of their polearms. As far as they had seen, they were the only people in the village who took such an interest, and they were fairly proud of themselves. [Double Strike]
Jay was more into the idea of fake outs than Jeon was. They were very direct fighters, that much was always true, and would likely never change, but there was just something about the way a fake out could disorient someone and turn their defensive strategy on it's head. The moment a trap is sprung... that was the moment that Jay could test someone's mettle. It was the moment where he could bring his fury in to someone like he had with Shiro before when they had sparred. With the aid of his sister... a counter attack could always prove to be deadly in their hands. [Fake Out]
As much as they did enjoy them, this style might have started to get stale to anyone else with all of the emphasis on counter attacking. However, the twins knew all too well that counter moves were especially powerful, especially when the range of the user is higher than the opponents. For the Coutner Thrust move, this was especially true. Any kind of thrust was now an opportunity for the twins to drive their weapons right up into the shoulder of the offender and paralyze the limb. With how they fought, they would probably end up severing an arm if this move connected. [Counter Thrust]
For the sake of overwhelming an opponent's ability to react, the next skill was pure greatness. Three separate attacks, all of them producing more than one actual attack. It reminded them of the way their multiple connected fists attack worked, in all honesty. For any unfortunate soul that was in the path of this attack, they'd likely be torn open, rended limb from limb should all the attacks land. [Gattling Technique]
Chakra was entirely necessary for the next skill. Jeon and Jay were always keenly aware they had strong bodies even before their seminal trip to the sage lands. Their legs, though they hadn't been traditionally trained to use them back home, were just as strong as their upper bodies if a little undisciplined. Jeon and Jay had used their weapons to pole vault before, but usually it was to avoid an attack, not to deliver one. It made sense with their level of strength that they'd be able to dish out a level of relative danger higher perhaps than any of their other learned skills with kicking with the addition of chakra. They weren't versed in fuuton like some other ninja but even so, with their base speed and strength they could probably knock over a small building. [Aerial Assault]
