Running Score: -61 Candidate Omurntas Week 4(29-5): 71-80: You're doing all right! The haul you bring in is modest, but every little bit helps. Roll a D4 to see what you managed to gather from the sea! +5 points If you are a rider with XP, luck was with you this day, so double your haul! +5 More for Riders with XP 4. Yellowstripe and Whitefish over here! Those'll sure be tasty with some citrus, over rice, or in a lovely stew.
Somehow with the help of his trio of blue firelizards, Omurntas found himself with a modest catch, but he was proud of it. The blues had scared yellowstripes and whitefish into his net by plunging into the water. It was great teamwork! He rewarded the blues with delicious fish guts for their hard work.
Running Score: -76 N'den of Brown Belengath Week 4(29-5): 9- 1-10. You don't know exactly what happened, but somehow you have wound up tangled up in a fishing net, out in the middle of the ocean. You thrash around and try hard to free yourself, but all you wind up doing is breathing in the salt-water. Thankfully, you're fished out by your fellows, untangled from the net, and dragged back to shore. Outside of being a little traumatized, roll a D4 to see what the results of your poor fishing happened to be! 3. You are feeling miserable. Your nose stings, you're nauseous from drinking up so much salt water, and you're a bit cut up from the hooks. To make it worse, you've lost the net in its entirety, and now need to go to the infirmary to get the hooks removed and ensure they don't get infected. Blargh. What a day. [-15 points]
I don't think...... Whatever Belengath didn't think, N'den didn't hear. Mainly for want of drowning. Stinging nose, nauseous, and sliced up, didn't make him feel all that well. And that net was gone. When the brown suggested he go to the infirmary to get the hooks removed, he simply nodded. No pretty girls for him tonight.
1. Your net was torn and will require some patching, using up some of the Weyr's supplies. Any fish that might have been caught in it are now free to swim another day, and you bring in nothing for the day. Outside of wounded pride, and wet clothes, you're fine to continue fishing another day. [-5 points]
2. Your net was torn badly, and is now unusable. Any fish that might have been in the net are long gone, and you're not returning with a net loss of... a net lost! Not only that, but your nose burns, and you're not feeling too great thanks to your half-drown experience. Blegh. Better report the lost net. [-10 points]

4.You fall ill. Perhaps it was drinking too much saltwater; perhaps it was getting wrapped up in netting and wire, but you find yourself coming down with the sniffles, and then it turns into a full-blown cold. You wind up needing to be a few days in the infirmary, and aren't going to be able to participate for the next next sevenday. [-20 points, and character loses the next sevenday's roll (so skip a week)]
Running Score: -66 B'den of Green Riojath Week 4(29-5): 14- 11-20: You did great! Either you took some training in the Seacraft or you're just a natural! Regardless, you manage to haul in a net full of nothing but delicious silverfish. The delicacy will make some good eating! Yum, yum yum. +10 points
Seeeeeeeeee?!?!? Riojath wiggled in delight as her rider did a perfect cast with her net. I told you talking to that sea fellow was a good idea. The green was smug and rightfully so. She was the one who's spotted the fisher craft guy working a net and suggested her rider get a few pro pointers and tips.
You are magnificent! B'den praised her green. It had been a good suggestion, one she'd taken up on. With dividends that had paid off well for the Weyr. "These silverfish will be delicious."
Running Score: -56 M'ay of Blue Othivth Week 4(29-5): 71 71-80: You're doing all right! The haul you bring in is modest, but every little bit helps. Roll a D4 to see what you managed to gather from the sea! +5 points If you are a rider with XP, luck was with you this day, so double your haul! +5 More for Riders with XP 3. You caught a haul full of a school of fingertails.
M'ay had to convince Othivth to help. Mainly by saying how stealthy he'd bein the dark deep blue water driving fish toward her. The pair managed to get a decent haul full of fingertails. M'ay figured they'd salt the fish and keep them for later if they didn't have to use them now. Nothing like saving for the future!
41-50: As you begin to reel in the net or line, you are overpowered by a strong wave, and your catch is set free. Shardit! That had been a good haul, too! Nonriders or riders without XP points, take -5 points. If you are a rider, your dragon is able to support you, and you manage to bring in a full net of packtails. Riders with XP points add 5 points to their total.
I have you. His bronze's tail braced around his mid-section was enough for Amrit to get a better grip on the net, hauling it up ashore. Packtails wriggled and fought against the net, but he'd brought in dinner!
71-80: You're doing all right! The haul you bring in is modest, but every little bit helps. Roll a D4 to see what you managed to gather from the sea! +5 points
Lots of fish and a variety, too! Packtail, silverfish, bluefish, and even a few spiderclaws! Tasty, tasty!
A delightful hum in Zexear's throat, he tried to tally up his day's haul -- though it was rather difficult with every flash of scales and every skitter of claws rolling over one another. The kitchen would likely count it, but the pride of having caught so many, especially off the heels of such a failure last week, was certainly nice.
21-30: Well that didn't go as planned. You thought you were pulling in a whopper, but instead all it turns out to be is an ancient, slimey, and very unsalvageable boot tangled up with some driftwood. There's nothing edible about this--not even any shelled seagrubs. To top it off, any fishing you do the rest of the day will either result in no bites or catches. -15 points
The boot was... disgusting. The seams partially ripped by tide and sand, and thankfully was only filled with sand and seawater. His muscles about screamed pulling the sharding thing up, so to see all that effort go to a rotten boot was.... disappointing.
81-90: The line snaps and slices your hand right open. Ouch! Not only did you lose the haul, but you now have to visit the healers and get the wound dressed. Roll a D4 to see how severe your damage is! -5 points
Nothing but a flesh wound! It stings, but will heal within a sevenday.
A sharp hiss escaped Keris, as she dropped her line, clutching at her bloody hand. Kiadrath was at her side in an instant, peering down at her bloody hand. The weyrling opened her hand, fingers unfurling to inspect the wound -- not bad. Certainly not good, and as the net was truly lost, she began to walk back to the infirmary.

That looks... disgusting.
'It is, trust me.' Oh, she was tempted to toss it back into the water, but perhaps one less boot in the ocean would be for the best.

Running Character Total: 109 pts Character: Pemli and Gold Ningesth
Pemli decided to bring a net with her for her fishing this seven day, see how the sea treated them. She placed the net into the water and waited to see if she would be rewarded with some fish. Soon, she began to see the tugging of the net and she began to work on pulling it in. Unfortunately, a wave was against her and tried to set everything free. Ningesth saw her rider struggling and went over to help her fight against the wave. Thankfully, it seemed to work and they brought in a net full of packtails.
These waves really think they are a match for me. They are wrong,Ningesth huffed, causing her rider to smile.
