Mel paused in her consideration of what to do for Blue to instead assess Phia. She definitely didn't want her pokemon getting hurt, especially not so soon. "Lucy, would you mind finding something for Phia to eat? I think her pokedex entry said that she needs to burn things to keep from drying herself out and having her fire, ah... consume herself," she commented. Gosh, that sounded unpleasant when said outloud like that.... Lucy blinked and perked up on her trainer's shoulder, then hopped down. "Char!" she agreed. Mel smiled, setting the other fire pokemon down. "Thanks. Keep moving towards Santalune City," she directed, pointing, "But feel free to deviate a bit if you see something." She reached back, grabbing another pokeball. "I'll send Z with you so he can help. He should make it easier for us to keep track of one another." Given he was.... substantially larger than any other members of the group.
Releasing the legendary, she watched the trio move off, then redirected her gaze to the edge of the city, as they approached it. Hopefully they could get to Santalune fairly easily... but they would probably have to train before they could actually take on the gym, anyway.

Entering South Lumoise just a little later -- it was a lot shorter a trek when you weren't training! -- the two set out to find a cafe. The first priority was food-- then shopping. Also coffee, for Brian, who was still staring with blank, empty stares, and only jerking away when women were nearly touching him, as opposed to within five feet. Brian was definitely not a morning person. Mel generally was, though even she had her mornings where she was ready to punch you in the face until she got her coffee. As per usual, upon entering, Brian tried to find a safe little corner, but since it was rather busy, they ducked out as soon as Mel had got them their coffee. "I'm assuming you probably want to try and go off with Z and do guy things rather than go shopping," Mel remarked, glancing at Brian with a smile as she took a sip of her coffee. He was looking through squinting eyes, his coffee held preciously between his hands. He stifled a yawn, and she took that as a note of agreement.
"Well, then I ask you at least come with me to one store," she said, lowering her coffee, still smiling, "I was serious when I said I wanted to get you some better clothing. I promise, I'll try not to make it hell." She held up her hands, though still held her coffee. He looked grumpily back at her, but turned his head and grumbled into his coffee, eliciting another smile. She glanced at Lucy, who looked curiously back at her, then looked ahead, taking another sip of her drink.

Looking through the shops and waiting for most of them to open, Mel tried to pick her target. Eventually it was late enough in the morning that they were open, and she practically dragged Brian in, once they'd finished their coffee. He seemed to certainly take his time, though... "Come on, and stop dragging your feet! You'll scuff your shoes..." She flashed Brian a playful smile even as he rolled his eyes, and her smile turned into a grin at the look on his face. Once inside, she stopped pulling him and gave him an understanding look. "Just entertain me for a bit, alright? I'll pay for the clothes myself," she urged. Brian sighed, rubbing the back of his head and giving an anxious glance to the woman at the counter. "Alright..." he muttered sullenly. She placed a grateful hand on his shoulder, then turned, looking through a few things.
"I think we should get you a suit... You don't have one, right?" she remarked. Brian grimaced and made a face. "A suit? Seriously? You can't even wear that around..." he muttered. She gave him a look. "It's good to have on hand, Brian. You know, unless you have some sort of formal event or something," she explained, looking back to the suits. Brian gave a look, moving a little closer as several other (mostly female) patrons filtered in. "When am I ever going to have to worry about that, though?" he muttered in earnest protest. She promptly ignored him, gathering up a good suit. "I assume you won't be willing to try anything on," she remarked, glancing back at him. He didn't seem to really be listening, which was both an answer... and an opportunity. She gathered up a few more things, then turned back to him. "Alright, we're good," she said, stepping up to kiss his cheek, "Thank you Bri. I'll go pay, you can escape outside, if you want." Rubbing his cheek, he looked around distractedly, then nodded, and quickly darted for the door. She rolled her eyes, but headed for the counter. She'd have to let him and Z go escape off somewhere while she finished her shopping with Lucy.

While Brian escaped with Z to babysit keep him company, Mel gathered Lucy up in her arms and headed into another of the shops. "Lucy, I don't imagine you've worn much of it," Mel started, walking over to one of the counters, one of many, which showed beautiful, glittering jewelry, "But what do you think of jewelry?" The two looked down at the case. "Mon?" Lucy murmured curiously. She extended her feet out, and Mel set her down, so that she could get a better look at some of the items. "I was thinking... maybe I could buy you a necklace" Mel remarked, folding her arms on the counter as she looked at the pokemon, "You know... sort of like a... team thing. I don't think I can afford one for everyone right now, but I think it would look pretty on you. What do you think? Or would it get in the way of your battling?" Lucy blinked, and seemed to think on it a moment, before smiling, and chirping excitedly.
Mel beamed and straightened up. "Brilliant! Let's take a look together, then, yeah? I'll see if i can find anything that would work for you, and you can let me know which ones you like," she suggested, offering her arm back out to her starter. This would be fun. Hopefully the metal wouldn't... melt whenever Lucy used a fire attack, though.

Exiting the jewelry shop a little later, Lucy proudly wore an intricately detailed, silver star-shaped pendant on her chest. It glistened in the sunlight of the city, and the monkey held it up, looking at it with wide eyes and a big smile. Mel couldn't help but smile as well as she looked down at her starter, holding her hand to make sure they didn't get lost, and then looked up. She needed to find Brian, and she needed to do a bit more shopping, before they left. She figured she woudl save him the agony of joining in, and tried to find her pokemon supplies first, though she found she didn't know much, and she wasn't about to trust some salesperson. Brian knew more about this. She would just get what seemed right to her, and then... get his opinion the next time she had the chance to do something like this. She got herself a few outfits, too, ad once she was done shopping, struggled to stuff everything in her bag. She would... probably need to remember this next time she had the urge to buy more things, actually....
Luckily she was able to get it all to fit, and after a while, she was even able to find Brian. She picked Lucy up and let her starter ride on her shoulder -- though she hopped over to ride on Z to give her trainer some relief after a bit -- and, once they were all set, headed for the next route. Hopefully they would be able to get to Cyllage and challenge the gym before it got too late in the day...

Bastien’s amazement at South Lumiose was evident on his face, eyes wide as his head whipped from side to side to take in the sights. His amazement went unnoticed by Ashley of course, who seemed at the moment to be engrossed in the device on his wrist, speaking in a low tone as the screen flashed and changed, reflected in the lenses of his glasses.
Alphonse took notice though and after stifling a yawn and glancing back slowed his own steps so he could fall in step with the small fox. "Have you never been in a city this big before, kid? " He inquired, catching the Fennekin off guard. Bastien’s head whipped around to focus on the mega Audino before his head slowly shook from side to side in response. "Ah… no. I haven’t." Alphonse rubbed at his chest fluff, own head giving a curt nod.
"I suppose that makes sense. You lab babies don’t really get much of a chance to get out and about until a trainer comes to claim you." Bastien frowned a bit, a look that didn’t go unnoticed. With that Alphonse trailed off in his speech, considering something a moment before resuming his steady pace of following after their trainer. Bastien still wasn’t certain how to feel about this all. Elizabeth had arrived at Lumiose City, the south side as she was simply amazed by everything around her. There were so many tall buildings, very vibrant and busy with people buzzing around. All of the people were very stylish looking, walking around with impeccably groomed and trimmed Furfrou, which was really making her want to get one herself. There were even people riding through the streets on a Gogoat, something that she had found really cool. Honestly this is like a dream for her, imagining that when she goes back to being a coordinator, she would be strutting around the city here in the latest fashions with the most well-groomed pokemon. Unfortunately, it would seem that Zero had gotten no better at preparing himself for impromptu teleportation than he was just a night or so before, feeling that intense sense of vertigo and nausea from earlier right as he blinked back into existence. They warped right in front of the Pokemon Center, the silver-haired trainer stumbling a bit before Nova helped him lean back against the wall of the building, giving him a moment to reorient himself. "T-Thanks, Nova..." He mumbled, running a hand through his hair as he caught his breath, and let the sickening feeling subside, taking a few, deep breaths before it all faded away. He glanced behind him at the wall, though specifically his shadow stretching across it, making sure that Nevermoor was still inside of it. Sure enough, the elongated arms and the billowing hair were still added onto his form, and after a brief sigh, he found himself able to pull off the wall and stand properly again, ready to head out and find a place to eat.

While Elizabeth had been exploring around, she had decided to first find the Pokemon Center since it's important to know where those are. So she was walking for a bit when she finally found her destination, noticing a guy standing in front of it. It was then that she saw the most spectacular Mega Gardevoir she has ever seen, unlike any pokemon before. The fact that it is a Mega is amazing in itself, but it was the colors that really shocked her. It wasn't the colors a normal shiny version would have, especially the 'skirt' with all of those stars like it was the night sky. How on earth did he get such a beautiful and unique pokemon as that Mega Gardevoir? Elizabeth was quickly making her way over to the guy and his pokemon with a smile. "Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful your Mega Gardevoir is. I have never seen a pokemon with such unique colors and those stars as well." she had then said to the guy as she glanced more at the pokemon since now she was closer. But as she looked back at the guy, she felt like he was very familiar to her. She hasn't been in this Kalos region for very long though and the only person she has gotten to know here is Ashley, so it couldn't be that. Wait, could he be from Johto?!
