Keiko, of course, had no idea what Sub's ploy was, but Natalia was nowhere near as easily confused, the Psychic bird predicting Scraggy's attack the second its body was enveloped in Dark-type energy. Natalia immediately cut forward, barely dodging Scraggy's attack before disappearing herself, reappearing behind Scraggy and diving beak-first at it.
"I didn't know Natalia knows Feint Attack!" Keiko stated excitedly.
"It doesn't" GRAY retorted. "That was obviously Me First. Honestly, what kind of trainer doesn't know what their Pokemon is capable of?"
"Meanie," Keiko huffed under her breath, not appreciating GRAY's attitude. Her attention was quickly caught by Reno and Nalu, however, and she smiled as the pair started cheering for the both of them. She felt excited for the battle again as a result.

TerashiLeonGoken "Try to knock him off course with Confuse Ray!" Keiko shouted immediately, a modest plan forming in her mind. Natalia would glare at Landor, focusing Ghost-type energy at his brain to hopefully disorient him. The Scraggy had already built up momentum, however, so since Natalia wasn't moving, she'd likely get hit.
The bright flash of Confuse Ray would go off right in Landor's face, the Scraggy dazzled and confused but it. However, that would not stop the incoming Payback as it rammed its knee into Natalia's chest, kick off, and land safely (or tripped at this point depending on roll) on the ground.
"Not bad, now you're finding momentum." Sub complimented Keiko. "Let's show off a bit, huh Landor?" He said with a smile.
The little Scraggy knew just what that meant, the Shedding Pokemon turning his back on Natalia, raising his arms up in a shrug, and sighed. The Pokemon would also say something about the Xatu being beneath him and how he could have finished this battle a long time ago. Landor was using Swagger.
(33% chance to hit self in confusion. If 1-33 then ignore Scraggy's attack and instead it trips and hurts its self in confusion.) |

TerashiLeonGoken "N-Natalia, get out of there!" Keiko shouted in panic, knowing well enough that a full-blown Crunch would severely hurt Natalia, maybe even knock the Xatu out. Natalia stretched her wings and flew, but used Teleport to actually get away, so Landor couldn't jump up to use Crunch on her. She came out of teleportation pretty close to a wall, but was surprisingly able to cancel her inertia before she slammed into it.
"Tch, missed." Sub said, snapping his fingers as he watched Landor just bite the air and land on the ground harmlessly (hopefully). "Let's see you do that again!" With that said Landor rushed the Xatu again, leaping up into the air and preparing the bite down again. However, this time at the last minute Landor would disappear and reappear at Natalia's side and once again execute a Feint Attack, hopefully this time it would hit as it covered up this attack with another Dark type move.
(Confusion is suppose to last 1 to 4 turns, so far it has gone on for two turns so if it's 1 or 2 then Scraggy is cured of confusion, otherwise I will roll again for confusion odds.) |

TerashiLeonGoken Keiko was in full panic mode mentally, but somehow seemed only appropriately worried, as if she was exhibiting an otherworldly show of control. Like someone was helping her keep her cool. "Natalia, push him back with Tailwind!" Keiko shouted. Natalia immediately started pushing her wings against the air, gathering wind with her feathers that she aimed at Landor instead of herself. Hopefully, instead of increasing her own speed, it would change Landor's direction, i.e. away from her.
The wind would begin to push against the Scraggy, Landor beginning to be pushed back, however Sub did not seem intent on letting this next attack be in vain.
"Stop this! Head Smash, Landor!" The Dark One ordered, growing tired of this game of cat and mouse.
Landor hadn't really used this move in an actual battle before but it had the gist of it down. As Landor was pushed away towards a wall he would kick off of it and throw its self head first into the air above the Xatu, its Rock energy infused head causing it to fall back down to earth rapidly as he weighed more now and dropped through the gust of wind. Hopefully Natalia would be caught off guard this time. |

TerashiLeonGoken I have got to stop stalling! Keiko told herself, fearful for Natalia's plight. "Now, Natalia! Psychic!"Natalia let her wings stretch out before focusing on Landor once more, pouring all of the Psychic energy it could muster at him. The move might not stop the Scraggy from hitting it with one of its many super-effective moves against her, but it would certainly know she was there when Psychic pain coursed throughout its entire body... unless Natalia missed entirely, that is.
Both Sub and Landor decided to keep going, to go all in and finally see if they can't put an end to this battle either way. Landor would resist the Psychic just long enough to slam its rock hard head into the Xatu, the pain of doing so rippling through its body, breaking its resistance to the Psychic as the Scraggy was then sent flying by the now super effective attack.
Landor would land at Sub's feet and struggle to stand back up. After all that the Scraggy was worse for wear, in fact it was amazing it still stood. Landor was easily his most stubborn Pokemon. "That's enough Landor, stand down." He commanded the Shedding Pokemon, the tiny Dark type trying to look back and protest but alas it did not have the strength and instead decided to just sit down. |

TerashiLeonGoken Natalia, extremely weakened by the powerful Rock-type move, slid down the wall until her butt plopped against the floor. Keiko rushed to her side and examined her, making sure she wasn't too badly injured. "Tu..." Natalia protested weakly, knowing what her trainer intended to do. "Shh," Keiko said gently. "You were amazing out there. Just try to rest."With that, Keiko recalled Natalia and ran back to where was standing before facing Sub and letting Audrey out of her ball. "No holding back, Audrey! We can win!" Keiko shouted confidently, her Trainer blood pumping more now than before. "Audi!" Audrey shouted in response, happy that she didn't hear any fear in her trainer's voice.
As Sub recalled Landor he watched Keiko send out Audrey, smiling as she seemed pretty confident in this battle now. "Looks like I'll have to step things up a notch as well." He said, pocketing Landor's ball and taking out another Dusk Ball. "Allan! Attention!" The man cried out as he tossed the ball onto the field.
"Sharp!" The Bisharp shouted as he stood at attention like a soldier.
"We're not going to fall for any tricks this time. Allan, Taunt." Sub ordered.
The Bisharp would proceed to eye Audrey up and down before rolling its eyes at her, saying something in Pokespeak about how weak and 'sissy' she looks. Also something about shouldn't she be getting knocked around by punk trainers back home for the experience. Whatever that meant. |
