Running Total Player Score: -10 Character: Bukichi (-5)
Quote: 81-90: The line snaps and slices your hand right open. Ouch! Not only did you lose the haul, but you now have to visit the healers and get the wound dressed. Roll a D4 to see how severe your damage is! -5 points Ouch! This is deep. You have either lost a finger, or have cut into a nerve. This means you are out for the remainder of the game, and your grip will be permanently weakened. Take an extra -5 points for this roll.
It was strange how little pain there was.
He'd felt the line snap. It bit into his palm and kept going after some brief resistance, and Bukichi cursed aloud. He lifted his hand with a scowl to inspect the damage, and for a moment, he didn't quite understand what he was seeing. The amount of blood was distracting, true, but his hand didn't look quite right.
The sound waves lapping against the dock felt muffled as he studied his hand, finally piecing together what seemed so off about it. His finger was gone. His body, numb and strangely sluggish, was slow to respond he turned his gaze to the creaking wood currently supporting him. There it was. His index finger looked small and odd. Bukichi reached to take it with his uninjured hand. He couldn't have said why. It just seemed important, somehow.
He didn't think much as at all as he turned and walked away, his injured hand cradled close to his chest.

Running Total Player Score: +5 Character: J'hcre and Green Paciseth (-20)
Quote: 41-50: As you begin to reel in the net or line, you are overpowered by a strong wave, and your catch is set free. Shardit! That had been a good haul, too! Nonriders or riders without XP points, take -5 points. If you are a rider, your dragon is able to support you, and you manage to bring in a full net of packtails. Riders with XP points add 5 points to their total.
"C'mon." J'hcre growled to himself, his arms straining as he struggled to pull a net that had to be full of fish! He was so focused, he almost didn't see the wave coming. Watch the water, darling! Paciseth called out, snaking out a leg to shield him and the net from the worst of the water.
"Thanks, sweets." He grunted, and with a massive pull, managed to haul the net up and onto the shore. "Look at that!" He surveyed the struggling packtails with pride. It was about time he'd pulled his own weight around here!

Running Total Player Score: -5 Character: M'lus and Bronze Garganth (+10)
Quote: 61-70: You're fishing with a pole today, standing on the small floating dock. You see the bobber go under, and pull up hard. Sure enough, there's a whopper at the end of the line. It's a fight, and you can tell you've snagged the largest packtail you've ever seen. Unfortunately you yank too hard and the line snaps. Not only is your pole now useless, but the big one gets away. Worse, your fishing luck the rest of the sevenday seems to follow suit... You wind up with a whole lot of nothin'. -10 points
M'lus waited patiently for hours until he received the bite on the end of the line, and one tug told him that the fish had been worth waiting for. He grit his teeth, trying to reel in the beast.... and with one mighty yank, well. Instead of forcing the fish up and out of the water like he'd hoped, the line popped, leaving him with a useless pole and no fish.
