Edme McCormic Amberpants I haven't seen too many sci fi movies recently. The best one I have seen (and actually remember) is Serenity. Yes, I'm a big Firefly fan. Glad to see another browncoat! Serenity all the way! Jayne is my main man! Of course I also love Star Wars (New Hope is the best ever!), but really, who doesn't? I love Kaylee. And Mal, of course (who doesn't?). And Jayne, and Wash, and Zoe...I love all of them. Except River, I never liked her. But I love Kaylee the most. "Jayne's a girl's name." blaugh "I'm trying to think of a way for you to be cruder." biggrin

Well, I really liked Serenity because it's based off the Firefly series (which I adored). I also really liked Waterworld though-I consider it sci fi.

I like most of the one that have been said, but I also though 'A Sound of Thunder' was good too. I'd read the story and I saw it on Sky just a couple days ago.

Just because they're, both, comfortable, I guess my two favorite are, The Night of The Comet & The Last Starfighter.

Oooh, that's a hard one. I'd have to say Return of the Jedi, closely followed by Armageddon and the original Stargate movie (hated Kurt Russell as Jack, but loved James Spader as Daniel {He's such a geek in that film that it's adorable}) heart I really need to go back and watch Fifth Element again, all I can remember about it was that it is such a cool movie that it deserves more viewings and in a savouring manner. On top of that I really need to sit down and watch some more sci-fi films/see the whole film rather than annoyingly short five minute excerpts.
