hello fellow poets! i totally agree with the statemet "poetry is a great way to express yourself". i tend to write poetry when i have a really strong feeling inside. indsead of a diary i have a poetry journal xd

I write pomes. hurr. Kind-of sporadically, though. I used to write to "express" myself, and when I was feeling a lot, but generally discovered that my writing was terrible when I did that. So now I don't unless I'm in a particular mind-set, and am not really feeling anything.
A lot of times I'll write a single pome over the course of a couple weeks, just adding things and altering every few days.

I love writeing poetry/ music.
Its always so calming and your right! it is the best way to express yourself.

I love to write poetry, I've been writing since I was eleven sooo I have wayyy too many to count, but writing is one of my favorite things to do ^_^

stevierocker I love to write poetry! I have written several (sorta long) poems. I think poetry is one of the best ways to express oneself. Any1 else write poetry? I cannot agree more, i occasionally right poetry. I enjoy the time to express what i feel in a way that seems more...sophisticated than yelling out"i'm angry!" or "i'm Sad" to the world. poetry's is...how'd i say this...awsome.

I just started to write so Im not good at it at all.
I need more practice.
But heres something I recently made:
To wake up
at a beach.
To feel the sand against your body.
To close your eyes,
and see light.
Its new.
The sun burns your skin, your shell.
You’ve been a hermit for far too long.
Never will you allow that to happen again.
Having control feels so good.
Doesn’t it?
To make your own decisions,
It’s empowering.
To know the truth,
It sets you free.
Waiting for the future
Waiting for love, waiting to live.
This feeling, this beach,
This is life.
Embrace it.
Tell me what you think of it.
Be as mean or nice as you want, but be honest.
Tell me ways I can make it better.

I write poetry, I'm not the greatest at it. But I do it for me, they're kind of like "therapy" poems I guess. Some are long, some are short, I started on my very first free verse poem... but I started it and never finished, and it will probably stay that way lol.

Hi I also write poetry and I mostly write them when I feel in love or blue wich is the reason why I shan't publish them.
